I kicked my chair up onto its back legs (a trick I had learned and perfected in my youth, usually at times I was not supposed to be doing either) and just sat there, looking at him. Jimmy looked- quite evenly, of course- back at me. "And what about you?" I enquired, after a pause long enough to pretend I had actually considered the question. I had the incredible feeling that sentence was false, but- still, it felt like I would be remiss of me not to check. After all, weirder ideas were true. And what an epitaph that would make, huh? 'Here lies Castiel Townsend. He did get warned. Technically.' (Actually, that was probably going to be my epitaph no matter what, knowing how I went about things.) "Really?" Jimmy treated me to another long pause, though somehow it wasn't a considering kind of pause in the slightest. It was the paper-sorting silence of a man who knew the answer to my (rather stupid) question and was very knowingly holding it above my head. Not smugly. Just knowingly.
