Character Illustration: Class 1
I started this class by opening up some of the palettes which Toby said we would be using today. These palettes were the layers palette, colour palette (colour wheel) and the brush palette. I then saved the layout as a workspace by selecting new workspace in window.
Today we talked about line work for illustrations. We were all given a Wacom tablet to plug into our computer and then I played around with it for a bit. It's very different to drawing on paper or an iPad as what you're drawing appears on the screen rather than the tablet.
I tried drawing a straight line and a curvy line. As you can see, the lines aren't very clean and are really bumpy.
To fix this, I needed to increase the smoothing of the brush. Originally it was at 0% so I tried it at 50% and 100%. This allowed me to understand how the tool works and which percentage I should have it on when drawing.
This was the 50%.
This is the 100%.
Since I am use to drawing on paper or onto a screen, it was difficult at first getting the line to go in the right direction. To refine this skill I drew two Xs and practiced drawing a smooth curved or straight line that went from one to another. It became easier time and I found zoning in helped at times. I think this is something would definitely take time to get really good at so I'll just have to be patient.
Using these curving lines we then tried to draw an eye. It was just a quick rough exercise to adjust to the tablet. I added another layer underneath and gave the eye an iris colour. I played around which the sensitivity of the tablet and pen when I made the specks in the eye.
We then moved on to tracing a shape from a template. The first template we were given was this duck. It has a large variety of line lengths and curves so it will be a really good drawing to use to adjust to the tablet. I brought the image into PhotoShop and then added a layer. I placed a white rectangle over the drawing and then lowered the opacity to make the sketch less visible.
I then added another layer and started to draw the outline of the duck. This took we a bit of time as I was trying to make the lines as smooth and clean as possible. For a few sections, I had to redo the line about 10 times until I produced one I was happy with.
This was the final outline I had for the duck. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I think the curves are mostly all really smooth. The eyes are a bit rough but it's the best I was able to do. I decided to go for more of an angry duck so I gave him some big tilted eyebrows.
I then moved on to colouring the duck. I decided for this drawing I wanted to try and get use to the tablet more so I coloured the entire illustration in by hand rather than using shortcuts like fill. I'll use these better techniques in my second drawing.
I started by adding base colours on a layer behind the outline. I coloured the entire duck in a pale yellow colour for a start. This gave me a simple base colour to build off.
I then went and added all of my other base colours using the brush tool again. I frequently went over a line so I used the option key and mouse to select the other colour and quickly fixed it.
The next step was to add some details. I started by adding some detail to the eyes. Since he was angry I wanted to give him some red bloodshot eyes to match his fury. I made my brush a lot smaller and changed the colour to red. I then made a collection of squiggly, branching lines. I then wanted to add a redness around the edge of the eye. I started made my brush a lot bigger so it would blend evenly. I lowered the opacity of the brush to about 10% and started to build up the redness.
I then added some shadows and highlights to the beak. I used the colour wheel so select a slightly darker shade of orange. Shadows typically are under raised points so I added them under lines on the beak as shown in the image. I added a highlight on the top of the beak and a small one on the bottom.
I then moved on to his outfit. I decided to make it so it looks like he was wearing a vest with some sort of shell (bullet) belt. I started by adding the darker grey shadow to vest. I just played around with the shape of the shadow as there wasn't any guide in the template. I then added some shadows on to the neck of the vest. I also changed the colours of the legs to match the darker orange from the beak. I think the yellow was a bit too light.
I then moved on to adding highlights and shadows onto the boots. I made the boots have a massive lip rather than a really thin one. I added a lighter shade of blue so that the darker one became the shadow. It took me quite a while to get the shape of the shadow right as I was trying to make it fit with the rest of the boot.
I then added some highlights to it to make them seems shiny and new.
I then added some shadows and highlights onto the duck itself. I added some shadows on the underside of some feathers and under his eyebrows to help express the anger. I added some highlights on the top of his head and on his wings.
This was first final drawing. I'm really pleased with the outcome as I've never drawn anything on PhotoShop or using a wacom tablet so I think this was a really successful first attempt. Next time I'd really like to try and add some more shading using brushes with lower opacities. I think this would really elevate the illustration. I think tomorrow I'll move on to the Rooster cop template and try colouring in using the proper way shown in the tutorial.

Hey, anon. Remember when I said, “I can’t think of any minor OCs I’ve created”?
Well, turns out that was a fucking lie.
Your question haunted me while I was at work today, as I was in the middle of packaging bougie kitchen towels. I kept thinking, hang on, that’s not right, I know that I would’ve anticipated having to create space-filler characters at some point.
After my shift was up I went home, grabbed my laptop, and after combing through a 50K-word document, I finally found ’em.
While yes, the vast majority of the characters in the Redux are canon, several OCs had to be created to fill in small but important roles—notably, teachers for the various Huntsman Academies. I haven’t finished creating the full staff roster for each school, but by and large the list for Beacon is done.
And I’m kicking myself for not even considering this, but a lot of the scientists for pneumatophysics, rhizology, and archotherology are also OCs.
Oh, and the Huntsman saints. Can’t forget about them.
You can imagine how terribly embarrassing this is. Well. Anyway. Here’s the list of minor OCs that I’ve created for the Redux.
Beacon Professors
Thales Melanion — The head of the Anthropology Department.
Francis Ojutai — A professor who teaches Anthropology.
Tyto Maurice — A professor who teaches Applied Combat.
Oshoku Tzu — A professor who teaches Applied Combat.
Sonali Venti — A professor who teaches Aura and Semblances.
Aaron Balche — A professor who teaches Aura and Semblances.
Dyson Iris — The head of the Dust Studies Department.
Jocasta West — A professor who teaches Dust Studies.
Avery Loch — A professor who teaches Grimm Studies.
Cressida Theria — A professor who teaches Grimm Studies.
Louise Baldemar — The head of the Weapons and Maintenance Department, and Beacon’s on-site weaponsmith.
Morgan Currant — A professor who teaches Weapons and Maintenance.
Rory Volpex — A professor who teaches Weapons and Maintenance.
Gamle Björnen — A professor who teaches Wilderness Survival.
Raya Austringer — A professor who teaches Wilderness Survival. Also responsible for lodging, care, and paperwork for all student- and professor-owned animals used as familiars.
Linden Ross — Beacon Academy’s on-site physician. Oversees healthcare for both students and professors.
Haven Professors
Ferrifex — The head of the Weapons and Maintenance Department, and Haven’s on-site weaponsmith. In the canon, Ferrifex is the unnamed dying Huntsman that RNJR encountered in Shion.
Caspian Toma — The head of the Aura and Semblances Department, and Leo’s current deputy.
Atlas Professors
Sel Lefebvre — The head of the Weapons and Maintenance Department, and Atlas’ on-site weaponsmith.
Notable Figures in the Field of Pneumatophysics
Cinchona Rigel — The founder of pneumatophysics.
Cerise Maida — A pneumatophysicist who created the original template for classifying and categorizing Semblances.
Purrow Gathao — The inventor of the portable Aura-measuring device known as the pulse. Wrote numerous papers on Aura in non-humanoid animals, and theorized on the possibility of animals being able to attain Semblances.
Ilere Koya-Hark — A pneumatophysicist who documented the underlying phenomena that dictate Semblance manifestation (Auratic plasticity and hierarchical prioritization).
Siþleon — The prophet who led the first settlers of Solitas into the far north. Discovered the Dust vortex known as the Auroral Plains, which would later become the site for the City of Mantle. His contributions to Aura and Semblances have less to do with scientific advancements, and more to do with setting the precedent for Old Mantle’s conservative culture.
Notable Figures in the Field of Rhizology
Jordan of Anima — The founder of rhizology, who hailed from the bygone city of Chamenos, Remnant’s largest psychometric imprint.
Djura Gannet — A retired war veteran who studied the reactivity of Dust when exposed to ambient Aura. Later published research on Dust vortices that gave rise to the infamous conundrum known as Gannet’s paradox.
Rednine — A rhizologist whose name comes from the eponymous flower native to Tsahïk Forest. Helped develop life-saving pharmaceutical drugs derived from the rednine flower that were later manufactured into Aura suppressants.
Tiago Torgal — A rhizologist who famously stress-tested/documented the effects of various Dust types by using himself as a test subject.
Kyrii Piers — A doctor who investigated the health conditions of Faunus employed in Dust mines. Made several breakthrough discoveries on Dust poisoning that eventually led to the implementation of stricter mining legislation to protect colliers.
Notable Figures in the Field of Archotherology
Yuan Socotra — The founder of archotherology and author of The Archotheria, an encyclopedic book that details all manner of information concerning the Grimm.
Naomi Dantalion — A city guard from Mistral who ousted a cult of archotherolatrists (Grimm-worshippers) that were responsible for dozens of deaths. Dantalion’s observations from her time posing as a cultist gave rise to a Huntsman Grimm-management strategy known as the habituation tactic.
Evan S. Bantien — A soldier who served in the King of Vale’s army during the Great War, and in the postwar era used his Semblance to study Grimm up-close. He partnered with archotherologist Ezio Perez and together developed the category system.
Ezio Perez — An archotherologist who contacted Evan Bantien, and proposed collaborating on a system for designating Grimm by their threat level. The two later married.
Isolda Bifrons — A frontiersman whose meticulous record-keeping led to the discovery of previously-undocumented psychometric imprints across Remnant.
The Huntsman Saints
Solaire, the Arbiter — The orator of the saints, whose sphere is synergy.
Faron, the Warrior — The weaponsmith of the saints, whose sphere is martial ingenuity.
Derecho, the Hunter — The woodsman of the saints, whose sphere is animals.
Iosefka, the Guide — The artisan of the saints, whose sphere is self-expression.
Oziel, the Scholar — The lorekeeper of the saints, whose sphere is storytelling.
Miscellaneous Characters
Hector Calavera — Maria’s father, who served in the King of Vale’s army during the Great War. He was also a famous poet.
Rhona — Ozma’s first host.
#follow up to an ask#i speak#worldbuilding#characters#ocs#this list will doubtless get longer as the show progresses and i have to flesh out the roster with more characters#holy fuck. how did i forget about all of these?#my bad#sorry anon#in the time-honored tradition of being an absolute nerd.#yes. a lot of the names used for my ocs are either puns or references#good luck figuring out what they are

Once upon a time, @shadsiethewriter suggested I do an analysis of Hordak’s eyes. Voila: this is that analysis!
I’m going to attempt an anatomical assessment here, and as such y’all will have to take it with a massive tablespoon of salt. Out of all of Hordak’s anatomical curiosities, his eyes are the one I personally interpret as least akin to ours and find the most difficult to make any sort of even semi-informed judgments of. So. Take this as you will.
First and foremost: a quick rundown of what the typical vertebrate eyeball consists of when looked at from the front: the clear cornea, white sclera, colored iris, and black pupil. The cornea is the clear “dome” over our iris and pupil, allowing light to pass through it. The sclera is the “white” of the eye and consists of fibrous tissue, maintaining ocular globe structure. The iris is the pigmented tissue that controls pupil size, while the pupil is essentially a hole that allows light in. Light passes through the pupil, gets focused by the lens, and lands on the light-sensitive cells of the retina, which send the input information to the brain via the optic nerve.
In addition to the eye itself, there are also periocular structures to consider: the eyelids, various glands, eye muscles, etc. In many animals, there is also the nictitating membrane (the third eyelid).
There’s a whole bunch of fancy physics involved in vision, and the whole setup is essentially a biological camera, but we won’t get into that here. We’re just going to focus on what we need to. Same with the periocular structures: I’ll discuss these where pertinent to Hordak’s anatomy.
Now, I’m not actually going to start with Hordak’s eyes. I’m going to start with Horde Prime’s. Why? Because Horde Prime is, as far as we know, a sort of “template” for Hordak (made him “in his image” and all that, dontcha know), so looking at his eyes as a sort of comparison may give us insight into Hordak’s own ocular anatomy. Plus, Prime’s eyes actually do appear to be far more like our own; this again allows for better comparison when noting how Hordak’s are not.
Horde Prime has green eyes with no visually apparent sclera, likely two eyelids, and a fringe of very pretty eyelashes on his “main” eyes. His lids and perioribital region feature light grey pigmentation that is either natural markings or makeup.
let’s be real it’s makeup
Other than their number, there is nothing particularly odd about Horde Prime’s eyes when compared to various vertebrates. While the lack of visible sclera is strange for a human, it is par for the course for many vertebrates we are familiar with.
Cats, for example, have irises that are quite large and fill most of the space between open eyelids, making it appear as if they have no “white of the eye” (Catra’s eyes are actually like this). This is the case with a huge number of vertebrate animals we’re all familiar with. Most of them, I think, actually.
Prime’s vertical pupils are commonly seen in the natural world, though on Earth, they tend to be found in ambush hunters that are active both day and night, such as cats and foxes. Prime is... probably not an ambush hunter? I hope? Most likely, vertical slit pupils were used in his design because, culturally, they tend to be associated with inhuman, evil-looking creatures. Which has nothing to do with the biology, of course, so we won’t really go into it. Let’s instead assume that his pupils are as they are either due to previous evolutionary history or because he personally thinks it looks intimidating.
All in all, Horde Prime has eyes that appear, at least at this point in the story, very biologically normal. They feature all of the external parts that are needed for vision. Save for the lack of visible sclera and the slit pupils, they appear quite human.
Let’s assess Hordak’s eyes now. Similarities first, just to get them out of the way.
Hordak has eyelids, just as we do. We see them whenever he blinks, and we really see them when he suffers a syncopal event in season three. It is difficult to ascertain the nature of his eyelashes because of the black pigmentation in his periorbital region (assumed to be makeup), but there’s no reason to think that they don’t exist. they are probably also very pretty
Hordak also has lacrimal glands, or some sort of similar structures, because he is able to produce tears in response to strong emotion. Lacrimal glands produce the aqueous portion of the tear film in many mammals, serving to lubricate the eyes; in humans, and in Hordak, tears are also produced due to strong emotions, generally joy or grief.
With the presence of lacrimal glands or similar in Hordak, one may assume that a whole lacrimal apparatus is present, meaning existence of the lacrimal puncta and canals that typically drain tears from the eyes to the nose (AKA the reason your nose runs when you cry). This is not something that would be readily visible, but given the apparent existence of typical tears, it’s not far-fetched.
With the similarities out of the way, we can now focus on the very obvious differences. Right off the bat, we can see one that is very important in terms of Hordak’s actual vision: he has no pupils. Now, in normal Earth-vertebrate terms, one cannot see if one has no pupils. If there is no pupil, there is no way for light to enter the eye and hit the retina, so pupils need to be present.
There are a few possible ways Hordak might be able to see “without” pupils. One way, and the way that I think is most canonically likely, is that his eyes are cybernetic in nature and thus not bound by the anatomical rules our eyes are bound by. This would also account for their glow (something Horde Prime interestingly seems to lack) and their ability to have their color changed during Hordak’s reformatting.
Beyond suggesting this, I can’t say much more about it; any cybernetic enhancement goes far beyond my anatomical knowledge and lands firmly in the realm of science fiction. With cybernetics in play, anything could be going on with his eyes. So, we’ll just have to leave it at that.
A more biological possibility is that Hordak's eyes are actually all-pupil, and that what he is lacking is the iris. This is actually a condition some humans have, termed aniridia. It is usually a congenital issue but can occasionally arise due to ocular trauma. Now, in humans, this is an abnormality that negatively affects vision and can cause other eye problems, but for Horde clones like Hordak, this might just be what their eyes are like. A lack of related issues may be due again to cybernetic enhancement or due to alien anatomy we are not privy to. Same for the color: humans with aniridia have all-black eyes, but light reflected or created at the back of Hordak’s eye may be responsible for a red color in an “all-pupil” eye.
A final possibility I can think of is that there is a pupil, but we can’t see it well because Hordak’s eyes are constantly covered by a nictitating membrane. This “third eyelid” is present in many vertebrates (your cats and dogs have them, FYI) and is generally used to protect the eye while still maintaining vision. A transparent eyelid, essentially. Now, I think this is highly unlikely to be part of Hordak’s anatomy, because we never see him blink like this, but it’s still a thing that exists and might provide a fun headcanon for some of you, so I’m mentioning it.
Besides the lack of pupil, the other two differences I can note (as briefly mentioned) are the glow and the involuntary color change. While both are possible biologically (rapid color change and bioluminescence are both very present in the animal word), given the sudden change in Hordak’s eyes as a result of his reformatting, I would have to hypothesize that these factors are likely cybernetic in nature.
Now, biology aside, let’s take a moment to assess the symbolism and meaning behind Hordak’s eyes, namely in terms of color and lack of pupil.
Horde Prime and obedient, active clones both have green eyes, and Hordak’s eyes turn green when he is reformatted, supposedly returning to a sort of “baseline” state. My personal interpretation of this is that Hordak’s eye color is an indicator of functionality: when he is labeled “defective,” his eye color is altered to reflect his new status. Rather than his defect including being “born” with red eyes, his eyes are turned red to inform everyone around him that his defect exists and that he has effectively been rejected. The glow, present when his eyes are red but oddly absent when they’re green, may also carry the purpose of making Hordak more noticeable; marking him as “dangerous,” so to speak. Of course, we don’t have conclusive proof of this at this point, but it seems logical. Certainly, Horde Prime seems capable of dictating what color Hordak’s eyes are, rather than it being some sort of uncontrollable attribute. This makes it more likely, to me, that the color is an intentional thing meant to carry a message.
Now, the lack of pupils is even more interesting because, while Hordak and the clones don’t have them, Horde Prime does. What could this mean? Well, in my experience, creatures portrayed without pupils are often meant to be interpreted as more “alien” by the audience. Less human. Less intelligent. Perhaps even mindless. The reason for this is instinctive, I think: pupils allow us to see where an individual is looking, to follow their gaze, to make intentional eye contact. Without them, it might be difficult to interpret a creature’s expressions and easily connect with them. It puts up a mental barrier, you see? Takes away some sense of intelligence and sentience from a creature. Makes it look blank.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Horde Prime did this on purpose: manufactured his clones without pupils so that they appeared less like “people,” whereas he has pupils and is thus able to connect more readily with other sentient species. He’s the person; the clones are not.
And that’s that, I think. Obviously take all the anatomy with that heaping tablespoon of salt; I’m willing to bet that much of how Hordak’s eyes work is down to alien cybernetic nonsense. But that said, it’s still fun to muse about, isn’t it? And the potential symbolism is interesting, anatomy aside!

the long awaited updated icon tutorial in which i will show you how i make all of the different icons that i make. (it’s a bit long so... you have been warned)
for this icon tutorial you will need:
a screencap
an icon psd
doodles / textures / templates
i. BASICS
okay, so you open your image on photoshop, here's Mera (the love of my life)
next, what i do is i duplicate the layer by right clicking on Mera and selecting duplicate
and i do this until i have three copied layers and my original
then i select the first layer and add auto tone
for the second layer i add auto contrast
and for the third layer i add auto color
and i select those three layers and lower the opacity to 25% - i do this because it balance's the picture's look.
sometimes if the picture is too blue, the auto color will bring it back to its original color. in those cases, i use the fixed image as the "base" and set the blue image to 25% opacity.
andf finally, i like to crop my picture. (you can crop it again later if you don't like the results, i simply like getting an idea of what my icon will look like)
finally, i merge my layers together
ii. COLORING
the first thing i do for coloring is add my icon psd. you can color your icon any way you like, but if you want to use my psd i will show you the basics of how to edit it so it looks good on any icon.
the first thing you need to do is open the folder. and take the visibility off all of the layers it contains, like so
now, i do my editing in pieces, so first i look at brightness layers
most likely, your picture will be too bright like mine. what you need to do is add another brightness / contrast layer and lower the brightness a bit
then i look at the saturation layers. and what i want to check is if my image is too yellow, or too red, or too much of a color.
and if so, i fix it with a color balance layer.
next i add all the selective color and the color fill.
the selective color should work for all fandoms (it has for me), but the color fill will need to be modified depending on the brightness of your image.
you can now add all the layers up to the gradient map.
you will need to lower the opacity of the gradient map depending on what you think looks best in your image
at the end, i have two vibrance layers. you will not need both, so check each one to see which one looks better and delete the other one
we are pretty much done with the icon psd
i like to edit the skin a bit, to make it look smoother. this is optional so you can skip this part if you don't wanna do it.
anyway, i add a new layer and chose a skin tone. (i used #ebcdc9)
i set the layer to COLOR and i paint over Mera's skin
then all you do is adjust the opacity. somewhere between 10 and 50% should be okay.
i add another layer, and i paint over her skin with pink (#ce2c64), i set it to SOFT LIGHT and lower the opacity to somewhere between 10 and 50%
i am all done with her skin
then i add another layer, set to SOFT LIGHT and paint over Mera's cheeks and lips with a pink or red color. (i used #ce2c64).
i lowered the opacity to 26% but this is optional
next i edit the eyes
i add a new layer set to COLOR and use a small brush to color over her eyes with white.
then i duplicate the layer and set it to SOFT LIGHT
in that same layer, i color over her iris with green (´cause her eyes are green, but you could use any color you wanted)
then i use a very small brush to paint around her eyes (sort of like eye-liner) with black or dark brown
i think it looks bad, so i add some gaussian blur
with these settings:
i zoom out
i add a new layer set to COLOR and i use an orange color (#d96932) to paint over Mera's hair. after, i lower the opacity to whatever i think looks good.
i duplicate the layer, set it to SOFT LIGHT and change the opacity again.
this step is also optional
when i color over her clothes i usually chose whatever color i want, paint over her clothes, set the layer to COLOR or SOFT LIGHT
but, i will show you a trick i use, so instead, paint over her clothes with white and set the layer to COLOR
when you are done, duplicate the layer and hide it from view for now.
merge your image again, but make sure you merge the visible layers so your clothes layer doesn't get deleted!
iii. CUTTING OUT
at this point i like to add my background. i use pre-made gradients made by me (you can learn how to make them here). but you can use a normal color fill background or you can find gradient packs to use.
that layer goes behind Mera
now we have to cut out our icon. if you guys have a preffered method, you can go ahead and use that. i have some methods here. but i will show you what i like to do
we're going to add a layer mask on our image
i select the eraser tool, with a small brush, and 90% hardness
i zoom in and i paint an outline around Mera.
when you are done, you should have something like this:
note: the outline's thickness doesn't matter much, but the thicker it is, the easier it will be to do the next step
we change the size of the brush
and paint over the rest of the image
we will duplicate the Mera layer
and drag the layer mask to our clothes layer
now we add a color fill layer
set to black (#000000)
then we merge the black color fill layer with the clothes layer
(you select both of them, right click and select merge)
next, click on CHANNELS and then click on the dotted circle at the bottom, this will select the white in your image (but it only works if the image is black and white).
then go back to layers and clik on the layer mask
finally, i duplicate my background drag it on top of Mera and add the layer mask we just created, like so:
note: you can set that layer to SOFT LIGHT or COLOR depending on what you think looks best, and you can adjust the opacity as well.
now back to our Mera layer.
i like to convert it to smart filter
and i duplicate the Mera layer
then, i add vibrance to the duplicated layer
i add all of the vibrance
next, i add gaussian blur
you should chose the settings
i usually go for 15px, but it depends on your image.
and i adjust the opacity
at this point, the icon is pretty much done.
i like adding a few final touches. first, i add a gradient map layer
then, i add a new layer set to SOFT LIGHT
then, add a gradient
next, you will get a pop up.
you can select the same color as your background if you like
but, i like for my gradient to be black and white, so...
then, once you chose your color, you can change the angle here
and the last step is adjusting the opacity
we are done! the last step is to merge your layers.
iv. SAVING
to have the best quality, you need to save your icons for web.
these are the settings i use:
v. CHANGING COLORS
now you might be thinking. "Michell, why the hell did you make me do all that stuff for her clothes? Like, what's the point?" well... having that layer mask makes it so easy to change the colors
all you have to do is add a new background, duplicate it, and drag the clothes layer mask to the duplicated background layer
vi. TEXTURES
there are two ways to add textures
the first one is if the texture is the same color as your background. all you do is set it to SOFT LIGHT or SCREEN or whatever else you want and you are done! like this:
and the second one is if you want to use a texture that is a different color than your icon, like this:
what i do is, i select that layer and go IMAGE > ADJUSTMENTS > VIBRANCE
and i get rid off all the vibrance
and now i can set it to SOFT LIGHT (or anything else i want) and it will look awesome!
note: here are some of my favorite textures and here are some of my textures
vii. DOODLES
adding doodles is super easy. all you need to do is drag them over your icon, change the size and maybe rotate them a bit
you can leave them as they are, or set them to SOFT LIGHT or SCREEN

you click SELECT > ALL and once the image is selected press CTRL+C to copy the layer
then press ALT and click the white square on the layer mask
press CTRL+V to paste your template
finally, convert your image for smart filters

x. CIRCLE OUTLINE ICONS
these icons are really easy as well! first, you need to make a circle icon (with the tutorial above) and you will need some circle outlines or flower crowns. (i googled them to find the ones i used)
anyway, you place it on top of your icon like so
then we go to CHANNELS and click the dotted circle
go back to LAYERS
next add a color fill layer, with whichever color you want (i use white always)
and then you get this.
(you might need to re-size your circle icon a bit, just press CTRL + T and change it in the squares at the top)

My High School Years We all have nice memories of when we attended high school. Memories that will never be forgotten. For most of us it has been a while since high school and it is all a blur. We all remember a lot of things, especially things that the school did and we didn’t approve of. Something that would annoy us, but we wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. The majority of us, I’m sure, don’t like the way the school handled the schedule, the food we had for lunch, or the teachers.
