✶ LATE NIGHT DRIVES WITH CHRIS

the clock on the dashboard glowed 1:42 am, casting a soft blue light over chris’ hands as they rested on the steering wheel. the road ahead stretched endlessly, empty except for the occasional flicker of a streetlamp. chris glanced over at you, eyes flickering between the road and your face.

“you tired yet?” he asked, voice quiet like he didn’t want to disturb the calmness of the night. you two had been driving around for who knows how long. sometimes staying silent, other times occasionally breaking it with a joke or some deep conversation. you shook your head, leaning back against the seat, watching the city blur past. “not really,” you murmured. “you?”

chris smirked, tapping his fingers against the steering wheel in thought. “nah,” he said, glancing at you for a second before looking back at the road, “i like this.”

you rested your head against the window as you gazed at chris, his hand coming to rest on your thigh. the car slowed as he pulled up to a red light, the soft glow reflecting on his face as he turned to you. “where to now?”

you shrugged, letting out a small breath, “doesn’t matter.”

he grinned at that, the gesture making your stomach flip in the most familiar way. “good answer.” the light turned green, and with one hand on the wheel and the other warm on your thigh, he hit the gas and took off into the night. there was no destination, no hurry—just the two of you enjoying the moment together. it was nights like this that made everything else fade away.

Chris didn't waste any time driving up to your house. He made a quick stop at the gas station, picking up yours and his favourite snacks and drinks. He was going to prove to you being single wasn't all that bad.

He paid for the snacks, heading back to his car and continuing the drive to your place. It didn't take that long, considering you both lived pretty close to each other.

7:28PM

He parked up in the driveway, helping himself into the house and locking the door behind him. He took off his shoes, heading up to your room with the bag of snacks in his hand. He figured he'd just enter your room, not thinking much of it. "y/n!! I got the snacks. This movie night is gonna be so fir- Oh."

Yeah, he should've knocked.. but usually, he never has to. You've known each other for years anyway.. privacy wasn't much of a boundary for you two. And to be fair, he wasn't expecting you to be getting changed.

"Chris! Get OUT." You yell, throwing a pillow at his face as he just stands in the doorway, seemingly frozen in place as you stand there, half naked. God, this was embarrassing for the both of you.

"My bad." He mumbles, closing the door as he tries to adjust his sweatpants. Oh, fuck. He needs to get his mind off of this as soon as possible.

He heads down to the kitchen, placing the snacks on the counter as the moment replays in his head over and over again. He knew he felt somewhat drawn to her, but he's never felt this.. flustered before. Well, he's always wished to have seen that sight and now he ha-

God, what was he doing? Get it together, Chris. This is your best friends sister you're thinking about, not some chick.

7:32PM

You finish up getting dressed, still feeling embarrassed as your brain processes what just happened. Your thoughts don't really help, however.

Did that really just happen? I should've locked the door. God, this is all my fault. This is so embarassing! I cant go down there now. He's gonna be all awkward. No, it'll be more awkward if I don't go. He'll think I'm avoiding him or something. Ugh, whatever I'll just go. Who cares, right? I'll just act like nothing happened and if he asks I'll brush it off. It's fine. Mistakes happen.

And so that's exactly what you do. You head downstairs, looking for Chris. Let's just get this night over and done with.

"Hello? Chris! Where are you?" You call out, walking down the hallway.

"In here!" You hear him call out from the living room. You enter the room, and your eyes don't miss the way his gaze shifts up and down your body.

He pats the seat next to him, signalling you to come over. You oblige, walking over and settling down next to him whilst he brings the table of snacks closer to the couch, turning on the television and putting on 'The Notebook', just like he said.

At first, he acted like nothing happened. Well. That was until the intro of the movie began.

"So about before-"

"It never happened." You reply, shutting down his question before he can even say it.

"Yes, ma'am." He mumbles, slouching in his seat, not daring to say another word. An unspoken tension lay between the two of you after that, but none of you dared to speak about it.

This was definitely gonna be a long night.

pairing: brothersbsf!chris × younger!reader

AU BACKSTORY: Nate and Chris have been bestfriends since they were babies. Nate and reader were both born a year after Chris and his triplet brothers, Matt and Nick. They moved to Boston a few months after they were born and ended up being neighbours with the Sturniolos, which is where the whole friendship blossomed.

As soon as Chris was able to control his thoughts by himself, his heart was attached to younger!reader. He knew she was off limits but he just couldn't turn it off. So instead? He hooked up with any woman he laid eyes on and soon enough.. he became a playboy. It didn't help that younger!reader grew up to be the most beautiful person he's ever seen. But of course, he wasn't the only man who thought that. And so, younger!reader became a playgirl. Who would've thought?

Now they're both adults. But the tension between them only grows thicker and thicker. What will they do?

y/n goes to a party and ends up drunk texting brothersbsf!chris.. who she hasn't spoken to in weeks.

It's been almost a month since you and Chris have talked or even seen each other. Ever since he walked in on you changing, it's like he's been avoiding you.. Not just you. He's even been ignoring Nate. It's weird. He never comes over anymore. He rarely texts Nate or you, and even in school, he avoids you both as much as he can.

It's not like you care anyway. He can do whatever he wants. But something just feels off. You've grown so used to seeing him everywhere you go. But whatever. People drift apart.

9:56PM

A few hours ago, you were on call with Madi, your best friend, just talking about school. She ended up mentioning a party she was throwing and invited you to come over. And now, you're at her house, in the middle of a humongous sweaty crowd of random people you'll probably never see again.

But in the back of your mind, there was Chris. You couldn't stop thinking about him, no matter what. It was weird. Everything was weird. Were you actually missing him? Missing the annoying fuckass Christopher? God, what is happening?? You couldn't handle it anymore. You had to do something to get your mind off of him.

You look around, walking through the crowd, trying to find Madi. But of course, she's talking to some guy. She looks happy. You can't help but wish that were you and Chris. God, stop. Stop thinking of this stupid boy.

And so, you walk over to the kitchen, the only semi-empty place in the house. Opening the fridge, you search for something to drink. Anything to get your mind off him.

"Hmm.." You hum, your eyes skimming through until they land on a can of beer. Great. You grab it without having a second thought, opening it and chugging it down.

CHRIS' POV: 11:48PM

"C'mon, you can take it. I know y'can." He grunts, pushing his length deeper into her.

He didn't even know her name properly. Talia? Italy? Italian food? Hmm, he might buy some of that for dinner, actually.. Oh, right. The girl.

He was growing so bored of this. There was no tension, no lust. He wasn't even feeling it at all. It wasn't even intimate. The only tension in the room was probably the tension in his shoulders from holding himself up on top of her for so long. Why did she take so long to cum? Fucks sake.

She was practically fucked out of her mind. Her eyes were glued to the back of her head as she arched her back. He almost grimaced at the sight.

Just as he was about to call it a night and pull out, his phone pinged. Multiple times. Who was it now?

He looked over at the girl before grabbing his phone, unlocking it. His heart almost stopped when he saw the name. Y/n.

He chuckled softly before noticing the spelling mistakes. She rarely made spelling mistakes.. which could only mean one thing. God, she was drunk. Of course.

Finally. He got to leave and he got to see his favourite girl again. Life couldn't be any better.

He pulled out of the girl, ignoring her whines and protests before getting out of her bed and putting his clothes back on. "0/10 experience, by the way. Was probably the worst sex I've ever had." He says to her before grabbing his phone and leaving her room, leaving the girl speechless.

He heads down the stairs, slipping on his shoes and jacket before leaving the house and walking up to his car. Time to go pick up y/n.

After a bit of struggling to find the right roads to drive through, he finally ended up at Madis' place. He parked near the house before walking up to the front door where y/n was standing. His gaze instantly softened, and he changed his tone to a gentle one. "Hi baby. Ready to go?"

She looks up at him, a curious look on her face. "Where?" She mumbles. He chuckles. Cute. "My place, f'course. Where else?"

"Ohhh." Her expression changes to a happier one as she smiles. "Okay! Let's go." She giggles.

"You fine to walk to my car or d'you need help, hm?" He murmurs. She looks down at her shoes before looking back at him. "Hm. I think- I don't know.."

"That's okay. I'l carry you, yeah? How's that sound?" He says with a small smirk. She nods, and so that's what he does. He gently wraps scoops her up into his arms and carries her down to his car and opens up the passenger side door.

He gently places her down into the seat, buckling her in before closing the door and heading over to the drivers side, doing the same for him.

The drive was pretty silent, the only sound being the low hum of the engine. Thankfully, the drive home wasn't too long. They arrived in a few minutes. "Want me to carry you inside, baby?" He asks gently as he turns off the car engine, unbuckling himself.

"Nuh uh. I wanna go by myself." He chuckles at her new attitude. She's such a baby. "Alright. Whatever you say goes."

After a lot of stumbling and whining, they managed to make it inside Chris' house. Chris slipped off his shoes and jacket before leading her into his living room and gently sitting her down on the couch.

He kneels down, slipping off her heels and placing them to the side before heading to the kitchen and getting a glass of water and some medicine, feeding her.

"You okay?" He asks gently as she finishes swallowing the tablet. "Mhm. M'tired." She mumbles, rubbing her eyes.

"Yeah? Alright, c'mon. Let's get you changed and into bed." He says as he gets up, taking a hold of her hand and helping her up. Without another word, he scoops her up into his arms and carries her up into his room, setting her down onto the bed.

"I could've walked up by myself, y'know." She pouts. He smirks, letting out a quiet chuckle. "Yeah, sure. Need help getting changed?" He asks as he puts one of his hoodies and sweats onto the bed next to her.

She looks hesitant for a second, just sitting there quietly. "C'mon, baby, you need help or no? I won't judge." He murmurs, his fingers playing with her hair.

"Mhm." She mumbles out. "That's my girl. See, that wasn't so hard, huh?" He teases as he goes to unzipping her dress, taking it off. Damn. She really was perfect.

"Wanna take this off too?" He asks as he hooks his finger in her bra strap. She nods, and he gently unclasps her bra, placing it on the side with her dress.

"Arms up, pretty." He says as he puts the hoodie on her before kneeling down. "Now hips." He murmurs. She lifts her hips up, and he slides on the sweats. "Better?"

"Mhm. Thank you." He smiles. "No problem. Need anything else? Makeup removing or..?" She shakes her head. "I dont have much makeup on. Just lipstick and mascara, so it's fine."

He nods, before helping her up. "Lay down, yeah?" She lays down in his bed and he gently tucks her in. "Let me know if you need anything else. I'll be here." He says as he goes to sit down.

"Chris?" He looks at her. "Hm?" "Can you cuddle with me?" The question catches him off guard. Cuddle? That's a first.

"Are you sure? I don't wanna make you uncomfortable or anything-" "I'm sure. Please?"

He couldn't say no to her. "Alright. Budge up a lil', sweetheart." He mumbles, gently moving her. She scoots over, making space for him as he climbs into bed, pulling the covers over both of them. Chris then loosely wraps his arm around her waist, gently pulling her into his chest. "Comfy?" He murmurs into her ear, gently running his fingers through her hair with his free hand.

She hums in response. "I'll take that as a yes." He says with a small smirk, running his hand up and down her side. Her perfume was filling his nostrils, the smell of beer mixing with it, but he didn't mind. She still smelled good. She always does. "Chris?" He hums. "Hm?"

"I love you."

His movements come to a stop as he processes her words. Did she really just say that? Is he dreaming? What is happening?..

But before he could even reply, he was met with her soft snores, her body melting into his. He let out a quiet sigh, resuming his movements, gently running his fingers through her hair with one hand as the other stayed loosely around her waist.

"I love you more, y/n." He whispers, gently kissing the top of her head before closing his eyes and going to sleep.
