The main event for the night will be the Featherweight Championship bout between Lucas Rosa (6-0) from American Combat Gym in Boca Raton, Florida, and Geovanni Gomez (4-2) fighting out of YoungTigers Foundation located in Homestead, Florida. Rosa enters the cage having won all of his prior MMA matches, with his most recent being a TKO victory against Paul Winters at  Rize FC: Alpha Warrior. Lucas recently spoke to FightBook MMA about his title fight: To me, fighting is not just another job- it's deeply personal. When I step into the ring, I'm exposing a section of myself that is quite vulnerable. being a fighter is not easy there are several sacrifices that must be made in order to make this work, After all the time and effort I put into preparing, it's nice to have such a large platform.

On the card, we will see Dakota Trice (4-1), from Tampa, Florida take on Llewelyn Wilson. This will be Trice's first fight since he lost his last bout against Kayde Burton by TKO at  Combat Quest 18, she was on a devastating four-fight win streak before that loss. The fight card also featured two female fights, with Astrid Frangie (0-1-0) from Suriname facing Bianca Rosales (1-2-0), a professional MMA fighter from Florida. In the second bout, Gracie Grecco will be facing Chatham, Virginia's Juliana Fontoura.

WHOOK WEEK DAY 4: FAVE RELATIONSHIP - Pt.1

I’m doing them all, baby!!!

Let’s begin!

Henry/Hook

Now it’s not the Killian he grew up with, it’s not the Killian he knows… but he’s still a version of Killian, and Henry was more than happy to team up with him as they go on their journey together. They’re looking out for each other and although we haven’t seen much of them bonding in the EF, we know it’s happening.

(i’m headcanoning a sort of estranged uncle/nephew type relationship. Sue me lol)

Over in Hyperion Heights, Henry and Rogers have definitely become friends. They have no clue of their connection, and although the friendship is new and tentative, it’s growing. Rogers was quick to thwart the plan to frame Henry, knowing he was an innocent man, and later confided in him as they teamed up in a plan to take down Belfrey. We’ve seen Henry try and help Rogers, whether its with his Eloise case or just offering him an ear to listen.

I’M READY FOR THEIR ADVENTURE COMING UP!!!!

Hook/Regina

I absolutely love their dynamic this season. They’re meeting on the side of good and under new circumstances; Regina’s grown a lot in her timeline, she’s wiser, understanding and has left the evil queen behind. Killian is a father this time around, is on the right path and ready to help Henry and find his daughter.

They’re completely different people to the frenemies we’ve had the pleasure of seeing in past seasons. There’s care for each other’s wellbeing this time around, they’re on the same side and are looking out for each other. Revenge isn’t something that’s driving them and it makes the absolute difference in the way they are with one another.

They’re no longer selfish. They’re thinking and doing for others because it’s the right thing to do… and that includes each other.

THE CARE BETWEEN THEM NOW.

Roni and Rogers seem to have a similar rapport. They’re not too friendly when we first meet them; they’re aware of each other, and yet it doesn’t stop Roni from looking out for Rogers. She offers him a heads up in regard to Weaver, and later with the reassurance from Henry, they become a team and bond over their common goal: taking down Belfrey.

I am never getting over the cake saga lol.

It’s clear that she has genuine care and won’t let any harm come to him or anyone if she can help it.

The thing I love most is that Rogers/Hook has people. Friends. Allies.

Rogers/Weaver

I’m still uncertain where this one is going... Rumple’s awake and i’m still dying to know what the hell happened during those 8 years we skipped to have them trust each other.

But it’s clear these two are working together in the EF.

Rogers knows Weaver is a shady bastard lol but yet he’s willing to help the man... and Weaver is looking out for Rogers and trying to stop him from making mistakes without knowing it. 

It’s a completely new dynamic for these two characters from what we’ve seen previous years and i’m fucking intrigued.

Would knights and/or men-at-arms in both Westeros and the real medieval world have had any kind of training in unarmed combat? Asia clearly has a far richer tradition of this, but I was wondering if medieval European men would have been trained in any kind of proto-boxing or grappling; anything to fall back on if you get knocked off your horse and lose your sword.

Wrestling was a pretty standard part of European medieval knightly training.
