the thing about buying figurines is if you buy a $20 fig, it looks like it should cost $5, if you buy a $35 figurine, it looks like it should $35 (this is the sweet spot but also $35 figs looking $35 isn’t exactly a compliment), if you buy a $100 figurine, it still looks like it should cost $35
but if you buy a $600 figurine it looks like it should cost $100
which is luxurious like wow $100 figs should look nice but also oof
#the thing is with the detail work#i understand why a lot of figs get so expensive#like it makes sense TECHNICALLY#but they still… LOOK cheap#unrefined#so i don’t necessarily resent the prices#but it just can’t be justified#not for a broke bitch in a dusty room

38 anime-style fig owned..... and on track to go up to 47 by mid next year.....

myethos is making 1/10th scale figures, starting with miss angelina arknights and miss shining arknights. really hoping they'll mayhaps place interest on the men of arknights🙏🙏🙏
#fig talk#shining and angelina are original sculpts and designs are their summer skins.#myethos hasn't done a lot of men; they have their original march hare design and ujhhh gilgamesh but i don't remember anyone else#since they've been making a lot of arknights figures lately i'm on hopium that they'll maybe make even one dude#the new product line is called gift+ and the size and price make it a competitor for pop up parade and conofig#the figures look great from the previews but i wonder how they'll turn out. the release is 3/24 i'll maybe get shining if she's good
