If Ezra could make any wish ( sans asking for more wishes ), what would he wish for?

Ezra, while being a rather greedy person, is also a generally selfless one. As such, it wouldn't even cross his mind to use the wish for himself at the time of actually having the wish. Without hesitation, he would use it for his loved ones-- wishing that they live lives that are healthy, happy, and fulfilled. Which...while being very sweet and kind, isn't necessarily all that interesting an answer for something like this, I understand.

So, I will say that after he's used the wish, while he won't regret having used it for what he did, I could see him start thinking about all of the other things that he could have used it for. Ridding himself and his mother of their family curse, for example. Or bringing Maggie and/or Cassie back from the dead, hale and whole once more. (yes, he knows what a bad idea it is, but how could he not think about that?)

He knows that he used the wish for something good, and even if given the chance, he wouldn't take it back...but look at how easy it was to have achieved that something good? One wish, and he could secure all that?

Bit by bit, he'd start to grow more and more desperate for a way to collect more wishes. Did he know how he got the first one? Did someone give it to him? You can bet he'll seek them out and try to bargain for another. If not, he'll seek those that he knows are capable of granting wishes-- beings like the djinn, or some of the astrecid.

Definitely not something that would end well, if he was allowed to stew on the wish afterwards, in other words.

The more I watch Rebels, the more I begin to appreciate that the liberation of Lothal was a miracle of nothing less than Biblical proportions.

How many people were involved? Ten, fifteen maximum? One of the first of a new generation of Jedi, a Lasat survivor, an Imperial turned Rebel, a Mandalorian and her girlfriend, a pilot and her sicko astromech, a pirate, that kid whose name i forgor, an Ugnaught, and three clone veterans? There's NO way they should have succeeded in completely purging the planet of Imperial presence, but they DID.

They trapped every Imp in the dome by virtue of deception, launched THE Grand Admiral Thrawn into oblivion by making friends with mystical space whales, blasted every Imperial into ashes, and freed Lothal in the span of a few hours with only thirteen people and about two dozen star whales. And because this was only a year or so before the Battle of Yavin, the Empire didnt have the strength to try and take back the planet. This was a feat comparable in my mind to the Maccabean revolt, and now because of Ezras sacrifice and the Ghost crews efforts, Ezras homeworld was freed. The citizens of Lothals capital watched the flight of glowing purrgil and a rain of fire falling from the sky, and they were ALIVE and free.

And they didn't even use the help of the Rebel Alliance, they didn't do it for the Rebellion! They did it for LOTHAL, and if it weren't for Ezras love for his land he may NEVER have had the guts to do it, to refuse Palpatines temptation, to tell Thrawn to stick it, to yeet himself into the unknown cosmos, or to give up everything for his land God damn it God fucking damn it I feel sick

Fulcrum and Old Ben

Hiiiiii I'm thinking about time travel again

Specifically, I'm thinking about Rebels-era Ahsoka and Ben getting tossed back to Obi-Wan's teens in the Temple... and it's an open secret that they're time-travelers, and that the old guy is future!Obi.

The scene I'm fixating on is teen!Obi and Quinlan gossiping about how old they think Ben is, and how he knows the half-Mando-looking Tog Jedi (they aren't used to non-Guards wearing armor in the Temple, and Ahsoka's been wearing Mando-made armor since she was recruited by Bo-Katan in S7).

The whole Temple is trying to figure out what their deal is, but Ben is dedicated to being obtuse and confusing in the grand tradition of Yoda and Qui-Gon, and Fulcrum is enjoying the power of being annoying and able to properly relax for the first time in twenty years.

This is all happening in the refectory. Lunchtime gossip. Fulcrum and Ben are sticking together and while other people do join them, they don't really split up (that's her dad and she's not ditching him again).

Also the possibility of Ezra and Fulcrum "I may not be your Master, but he DID ask me to look after you, so sit down and listen until we figure out where to place you."

Ben: Remind me why you don't just take him on yourself? Fulcrum: You know I haven't been a Jedi since I was seventeen. Technically.

Different moment:

Obi-Wan: How is that ME? I mean, I guess he's from, like, a hundred years in the future, but-- Ben: Forty. Obi: …what. Ben: Closer to forty. I'm fifty-six. Obi and Quinlan: [open-mouthed horror that WILL get them scolded for being rude] Fulcrum, snorting: Ha, you look old. Ben: Yes, well, over fifteen years on Tatooine will do that to a man. Obi, to Fulcrum: Wait, how old are YOU? Fulcrum: A lady never tells. [wink wonk] Obi: … Fulcrum: I haven't been born yet, but I am in my thirties.

Also, there is just something soooo good about Ahsoka telling people she's been doing black ops for the better part of twenty years, and ribbing Obi-Wan about how he spent most of that time being sad and talking to ghosts on Tatooine.

Thinking about how on Leia’s childhood birthdays, Alderaanian holonet channels would be broadcasting Empire Day specials all day long. Thinking about how Bail would turn it off and they would celebrate her day with an abundance of presents and desserts and Leia would feel like the happiest little princess in the galaxy, but she would always associate that day with the Imperial March.

Thinking about how on Luke’s childhood birthdays, Aunt Beru would make him a simple birthday cake and Uncle Owen would give him the day off of chores. Thinking about how Luke didn’t even know it was Empire Day until the year that Owen took him to Tosche station and someone said something about it, and how he didn’t really associate his birthday with Empire Day until Imperial presence on Tatooine began to increase.

Thinking about how on Ezra’s childhood birthdays, he had to watch the people who took his parents away marching down the Capital City streets to applause and cheers. Thinking about how the only birthdays he could remember were filled with misery and anger until he turned fifteen on the Ghost, and how even though his birthdays got happier with his new family, he always associated that day with pain and fear.

Thinking about how much their adopted families meant to each one of them on their birthdays, and how hard it must have been once those families were torn away from them.

Thinking about how much destruction and pain the Empire caused in all three of their lives, from the very day they each drew their first breaths.

Tw death, gore, vomit, occuring nightmares

Sleeping. It was always a thing Ezra had avoided. After all, sleeping always brought the nightmares. This time, they couldn't avoid sleeping though. They had literally exhausted themself to the point of exhaustion. Now, the nightmares began just as they always did.

Ezra sat up in that same dark room, and panic instantly took over them. Not this again, they hated this damn dream. They stood up as if they were a puppet on a string and walked over to the door in the room. "Don't open the door don't open the door don't open the door-"

Thoughts repeated like a mantra, but they still couldn't help but twist the knob to the door. And the sight was just as horrible as it was ever in their dreams. Ezra's mother laying on the kitchen floor, motionless and pale. Her eyes were glazed over and glassy, and there was so much blood. Too much blood for Ezra to handle. They ran over to the sink to throw up.

Their mother was dead. There was nothing anyone could do now. Her heart had been ripped from her chest by whoever the hell had dismembered her. Ezra screamed until their throat hurt, until their father and sister came running in. "Who did this?" Her father cried out, voice angry and filled with hate and all the rage and anger a man like him could hold.

The police were called, the sirens wailing and filling the house with red and blue light. Police grabbed Ezra by the arm from where they were kneeled at their mother's side. Now they were out on the porch, wrapped in a coat. When they looked down at their hands, blood stained them. When had that gotten there.

Ezra tried and tried to wipe the blood off, but it wouldn't leave their hands. Your fault your fault your fault, you couldn't save her. Their mind repeated horrible thoughts over and over, the image of their mother burned into their brain. In that moment, they wished that they had the power to slip into the shadows, become nothing at the moment and just disappear.

But they couldn't, so they just stayed sitting there while there was on-going investigations inside the house. And the dream plays over, and over, and over again. It's only when Ezra wakes up that they notice tears had stained their cheeks.

My Biggest Opinion on the Ahsoka show (other than the obvious) is that it would have been better as a full season. I'm frankly tired of this six-to-eight episodes nonsense that modern TV does; I remember the delightful old days where you got like fifteen-to-twenty-odd episodes per season of a show and that's so much better. It gives you room to explore the backstory of all the players involved so their motivations make more sense. It gives you room to mess with a longer narrative so the characters get proper growth where you can look at a scene from the beginning and a (perchance mirroring?) scene from the end and say wow, this was really bloody well executed, there's such a difference and it makes sense as to why. We could've had episodes about the Purge of Mandalore and what that did to Sabine. Episodes about how she and Ahsoka started training and how they fell out. Episodes about what Ahsoka's been doing between then and now. Episodes about what Ezra and Thrawn were up to, like how Thrawn came into an alliance with the witches and how Ezra's been evading him over the years. Episodes about Baylan and Shin so we could understand what either of them really wants or feels because I'm still not sure I do. Maybe something about Hera and Sabine's relationship because they feel kind of weird to me. Don't get me wrong, I love the show we got, I think it's very good and it does most of my favorite characters justice, but I also think it probably could have been even better if it had been a longer show and had room to really explore its subject matter in greater detail, from multiple different angles.

@thedynamicworm thank u!!! ur idea of them meeting on coruscant is fun but leia doesn't sneak away on any missions!! she may have her father's inability to follow orders, but she knows where to draw the line and draws it pretty solidly at "things that will get me killed and/or grounded for a year". she sticks to tatooine and rebellion bases and the few planets her family takes her to for jedi training or little trips!

the closest she gets to meeting luke before age 15 is thru force dreams and the like

Padme is VERY quiet about Luke's birth for the first few months (is just on Naboo w her family) and 1. pretends Luke was the result of a secret Naboo husband and 2. manages to hide when his birthday is so it looks a Bit Less Suspect. the handmaidens create this insane papertrail so convincing that Palps, had he not known otherwise, probs would've fallen for loll.

so deep down he does sorta know that Luke's Anakin's son, however comma he can't prove it for shit and Padmé never lets him get close enough to try prove it loll. + he can't rlly openly act against such a popular senator so theyre essentially fighting a shadow cold war

Luke meets Rex (eventually)!!! the closest there ever would be to codywan would be Obi-wan wistfully staring at his commander like he's in a period drama remembering before remembering he's not a hussy and thats forbidden lol. cody's just up to his canon shit unfortunately ):

they meet after the reunion when Padmé and Luke are staying on a rebel base w the Skywalkers and the Ghost fam visits! Ezra obvs goes to see his bestie Leia and she's like EZRA I HAVE A BROTHER NOW MEET MY BROTHER HIS NAME IS LUKE ISN'T IT COOL I HAVE A BROTHER and with a very fifteen-year-old twinge of worry that he's going to be replaced, Ezra goes to meet Luke. and the twinge of worry is replaced with a twinge of "oh no i'm gay" bc wow ok. he's cute. are people allowed to be this cute??

Luke's first opinion is "wow this guy's cool! and he has um... very uh... mm facial structure" the former of which is definitely ruined when Ezra does some stupid shit like 3/4 of a backflip and eats shit on the hangar floor
