Family's small farm business (mentioned in a previous significant personal post) has its challenges, slowly figuring out what's feasible. critters have been cute; raising them as ethically and organically as possible.

My daily activities involve less "being stuck in classrooms learning how to be better for capitalism" and more "do tasks and chores dictated by Mom because Dad is not proactive despite being the one who wanted to do this business". At times when not busy, I needed to cool down from my parents' presence (still so much yelling and miscommunication), and consistent on-paper creative activity would require me to have privacy. Which I don't have much of at the tiny farmhouse.

Throughout the early and middle months of this year, I've gotten into leather crafting, and then back into crochet and knitting. And I must say, yarn crafts are great for my mental and emotional health (although if I go into hyperfocus spirals, they can compromise my wrist and hand health).

On my fanfic-writing side, I drafted material last month and redrafted some of those this month. The main hurdle now is to get sentences and paragraph on-page properly. When brain is ready, get the coffee, lay the drafts on a readable surface, and see how it should go.

Random Fact 3: I grew up with an older bro and a younger bro. My younger bro is cool, but the overwhelming majority of my memories of the older bro is that he's judgmental and uncaring, and believes his friends who complain about my difficult-to-socialize-with self. And with that, many male acquaintances, online figures, and even male fictional characters are better big brother figures than the biological one I grew up with.

Today I discovered the proper word for a thing I’ve been doing habitually in the background while listening to music -

Audiation, which is mostly playing back songs in your head so you can memorize it and perform it in the future. Also having the capacity to hear it in your ear-brain, played with different modifiers.

At thirteen, I used to imagine songs played in different keys/instruments/arrangements, or sung by different vocalists.

And playing back songs in my ear-brain? I’ve been doing that since ten or eleven.

Thus ends my introspection on my historic autistic propensity for music. Too bad it’s not a field that my parents think our lived-in society will value.

I can drive. I generally don’t have a problem with it (as long as I get to pick the music), but I do not particularly enjoy it, either.

My brothers, on the other hand, enjoy driving a lot more than I do. I mention my family members because my dad and bros (and sometimes even my mom) are all interested in cars, what new model of a car company is out, and whatnot.

Personally? I’d rather live and work in a place that bans cars, where public transport operates well, and pedestrian access is safe and widespread.
