People need to understand that fictives aren’t their source because when Adam first split, he had multiple breakdowns to a friend about the fact that people were going to hate him. And he was right.

People need to understand that fictives aren’t their source because we got told off once for talking about Adam too much in the “wrong way”. As if he’s not literally a part of our lives. As if I shouldn’t be talking about him in a positive way when he’s not like he is in source. 

People need to understand that fictives aren’t their source because Adam doesn’t front as much anymore, he hardly even talks to us, when at one point a couple years ago, he was almost always at least partially in front. 

People need to understand that fictives aren’t their source because Adam’s memories do not align with source, and he is designed to protect us, and he will not be quiet to cater to members of a fandom.

hi. first of all don't use that r word,, and we aren't autistic it should say in our prns cc we have ADD if you haven't read that before asking. alters are NOT oc's. see, systems / DID is formed because you had so much trauma, especially younger than about 10, that your brain can't handle it and creates different personality, hence what DID stands for; disassociatve identity disorder. our system has more protecters than anything else to help cope with our trauma. switching alters does not look much of anything.. i [abyss] am mostly fronting in social situations like at school, but our system is quiet,, coperative and not very switchy. online the others might make funny remarks or help our friends. you should probably do some research before asking things like this to any system,, im still learning too, but here's something to educate you more :] -◾️

Uhh… Welcome to the alter-focused side blog, Kandyapple I guess. just call me Kieran or by my user. I’m not gonna do anything real special for this pinned post or anything… Sorry if I sound dull, I’m normally very energetic but that’s primarily with close friends or someone I want to be friends with in general.

I’ll just be referring to myself as an alter of Kieran that’s directly connected to the host. I call it a source latch. Rather than my brain making an entirely new alter, it latches the concept onto me instead.

I’m bodily 18, the latch itself usually (not all the time) makes me regress to about 12-16 years old….

If you’re non-traumagenic, proship, radqueer, MAP, or L0l/Sh0-con, I don’t want to be involved with you. Nor people who think alters of younger ages should be allowed to date anyone that age range. Or vice versa.

I have nothing prepared for Karate Kid day since I can't use my finger properly, still.... =( At least I make progress in Final Fantasy because my thumbs work fine, lol. And today I made a little progress for my og story! The place where the story takes pace has a name now. =)

hi back again sorry, how would you feel about fictives (alters in d.i.d systems that were created based off of a fictional character) interacting with you and your fanfanfictions? would you think it was weird and cringey or not want to interact with that? or would you think it was cool if for an example deadpool commented on your posts?

(think of them like the real person from an alternate universe sharing a brain with someone here, not a roleplay or someone pretending to be that character)

As a general rule, I'm fine with anyone commenting on my fics as long as they're not being hateful or harassing other people! I treasure every comment I get so of course a fictive could comment! It's not cringey or weird, it's part of your lived experience and I would never judge so yeah if an alter in a DID system wanted to comment, no matter who they are, they're welcome <3

hi again been a bit... uhhh why'd I wanna make this again? oh right talking about random shit. I do wanna get back into some things I left off with some friends of mine, but due to being me and it being a very hard existence things didnt go as planned and I kinda dropped it and lost interest.... which really sucks cause I have so many ideas for where I wanted to take my story ( working on a kirby au of sorts havent sorted out through the entire thing cause my brain doesnt wanna work with me :/ ) that I wanted to actually bring into existence instead of it all just being in my head or a rough draft. maybe I can push myself into gaining interest again by actually working on it again. what I had orginally thought up is no longer what I wanna go with so new things are hard to come up with. off topic from that I have so many fucking games I need to get back to and the game list keeps getting bigger and bigger its gonna drown me at some point :( whyyyyy do I keep doing this to myself.... doom I'm dooming myself this is what I'm doing. and cause I'm me I'm def gonna be forgetting that I made this post in the first place! dont you love being this mess of a person? isnt this FUN?!

Yes, and it's a bad thing. (Which you probably already think, given your blog, but let me expand on it anyway.)

For example, the primary way it is used is it to predict where to deploy law enforcement. It uses statistical analysis on past crimes and arrests; it is not some psychic that can see the future. These trends will reinforce earlier biases in policing. A lot of crimes were identified in black or poor areas? Send more police there. Never mind that the crime rates are highly influenced by existing over-policing, especially of drug crimes which, according to self-report surveys, are just as prevalent if not more so among other demographics. That's not reflected in the statistics of where police find drug crime because police are overwhelmingly targeting specific groups.

And when used for investigations or risk assessment? It's not only biased, but highly inaccurate.

Much like the Sibyl System, it doesn't matter if it actually works, it matters if the criminal justice system can obfuscate understanding of how it actually works or convince people it does more good than harm. Governments such as the United States bank on the fact that most people will not look into it or care enough to do anything about it, or even that a group will emphatically support this thinking that it is making the world safer. Explain AI led policing to your average middle-to-upperclass white tech bro and they'll probably think it's a great idea.
