hi everyone!! ive been super excited to share these for a while, and now i finally can! here's my two pieces i did for the free to access zine @madetobezine ! i drew some art not only for @milkymosaic's piece involving alex and orsin, but some spot art for peppino and fettuccine as well :]

I'm like 19 days late to my own Elizabeths birthday, but I've been busy this whole month and I had a slight depression hit, so I have an excuse.

[I’ve made a Blue-Sky because a friend told me to lol. If you have one, I am “Yoshitheengineer” on there, also will have the same name “yoshi likes art”]

I never thought I’d post this drawing that I did of “Dook’s dad”, but here he is. My HC is that Dook’s dad is actually a very intelligent man, and he learned through his son that there is more to life than school and research.

He met his eventual wife on the univeristy campus that he teaches physics at. Before Dook, he’d spend most of his day on research projects and lecturing at Duke University, hence where his son eventually got his name from. His father named his son after the most important part of his life, which at the time, was being an affluential professor at one of the most prestigious universities. I wanted to created a bit of backstory as to where his name came from. The eventual misspelling happened overtime, as Dook never remembered how to spell his name as “Duke”. He couldn’t understand how “-uke” also makes the “-ook” sound. His parents didn’t mind, it made his name more special in that way, so they just let him go with it, since that was the spelling that was sticking with him.

I wanted this kind of “foil” character dynamic between him and his dad. Dook is intellectually challenged, and having a parent who is quite the opposite makes for a good character development plot. His dad may possibly be autistic, just like Dook is.

Unlike most peoples’ HC, Dook is the first introduction to music within the family. He introduced his parents into a world they have yet to step foot in. His interest in space was fostered by his father’s work, and while he will never go into that profession, he can appreciate it in his own way. His parents are very supportive of him. They love their son, and are willing to do what they can to have him grow up into a beautiful person (dog-person?) with dreams and aspirations who treat others well.

Wow, I also did not expect to write this much either. Well, there’s essentially my summarized backstory of Dook’s dad. What do you think? It takes a completely different direction than most I’ve read.

So, it has officially been a whole year since Pizza Tower has become my hyperfixation, but with that it has also been a whole year of me being in love with Peppino. When I rewatched the video where I first really got to know him (Vinesauce's gameplay), it felt like I was falling in love with Peppino all over again <3.

This year has also been my first full experience in college, and of course I was stressed out of my mind for a while. Peppino has really made my life a good bit better, just daydreaming about him makes my heart soar. I'm so glad that I fell in love with him. Even though he may be fictional, he feels very real to me. He will forever be my fictional soulmate <333

I do think it's pretty funny that throughout the siracusa event there's like multiple scenes of the characters meeting up at restaurants/over dinner and almost every time the characters just order a pizza. like sure there are a few cases like lappland offering texas a mille-feuille or one of the characters having ordered steak for a party so at the very least we know other food exists but outside of that basically every meal is the good ol pie. it seems like in siracusa the only thing they do when they aren't murdering each other really is just cooka da pizza

I paid for an in-character love letter from Peppino Spaghetti. The service was provided by an Etsy vendor. It was delivered to me in a digital format, as a PDF file.

What I found interesting is how realistically Peppino was written in this letter. I know many people like to imagine him as being a huge flirt, but... this Peppino wasn't that. He was just as stressed out as he always is from running the pizzeria, and it was clear from his tone. But even so, he made it very clear that he was always thinking about me, and that he cared about me and my happiness a lot.

I think it's easy to forget that Peppino isn't some sexyman. He's just some guy who happens to be very strong and very fast. I adore him for that reason. It makes him feel more "real" to me, as cartoony as he is.

My favorite part of the letter I got was Peppino saying I make him feel calm even when he doesn't want to feel calm. Imagine having that kind of effect on him... imagine being the person who captured his heart enough to settle the storm in his brain. I think that's pretty special.

... I'm not posting the letter itself anywhere, but I do want to write a response to it... maybe a fanfic, maybe a letter to Peppino himself. I dunno. We'll see.
