I’m sure this fic isn’t that hard to find but I’m struggling. Remus is in law school I think and is really busy so on their first date Sirius sends him a google calendar invite. And each chapter has like a new recipe cause Sirius really likes to bake. I think Sirius is also a music teacher and he like self taught himself business. Thank you so much in advance!

hi! So I’ve been going crazy trying to find this wolfstar fic but I can’t find it anywhere, wondering if you know which one I’m talking about? I remember it was very long and famous (when I search all that comes up is ATYD but I think it’s not??) and the first chapter or prologue idk it’s Serious writing to Remus about his summer vacation and he’s describing a song with sounds?(like tam ram rum rum) Please help me!

It's possible it happens somewhere in cadence of part time poets? But it's not prologue or 1st ch, or 1st summer.

@kirkaut /ao3: kirkaut is the reason I jumped on this bandwagon. The unhinged spiral into LFJr obsession and the prevalence of well thought out meta and incredibly hot fic drew me in. If you are not following kirkaut, change that now.

@26-cats-in-a-trenchcoat / catfud_ohplease on ao3: Devastating prose. The ability to turn a theme on a dime and STAB YOU IN THE HEART with it. Mac owns my whole soul when it comes to really scratching that itch behind my eyelids for thematic imagery and really creative ideas for fic that aren't just run-of-the-mill smut/angst/fluff.

@devirnis / ao3: Ali only has one bucktommy fic up on ao3 but it is devine and I love it. Ali is also the only writer who has tempted me into reading buddie. This is not an indictment on buddie fandom or buddie fic writers in general, I just tend to be a one ship kinda gal and I don't really dive into fic for a ship I don't vibe with. Ali's writing has made me reconsider this position.

@beefcakekinard / thingbe on ao3: The domesticity. Literally just reread one of Rose's fics this morning and HAD to comment on it again because it made me want to fling myself to Jupiter.

The way this is a little fucked up. The way the characterizations aren't exactly familiar because they haven't aged into what we know them as in current canon. The way you can see in every broken line and every stutter step that Tommy is falling for Evan and has No Fucking Idea what to do with that. Ugh. Best Met Earlier AU I've ever read.

The way this is so quiet in the way it shows you how Tommy and Buck care for each other. The way they are down bad but still so hyperaware of the pace they've set, the things they've talked about. The way they take care of their friend here. I'm obsessed with the tone of this one. Also, as a general theme, nothing draws me in more than well thought out dialogue, and this one has some fucking GREAT dialogue.

Your love is better than ice cream - Cecily_v, liminalmemories

An alternative meet-cute, where-in Tommy doesn’t know the 118 and decides Buck is worth it anyway. Buck is confused but figures some things out.

There is so much I love about this AU. How they meet. How their relationship progresses. How it feels glacially slow in comparison to the canon storyline but also how in character they both are. The foundation of their love in this fic is downright eatable.

When bunny was 14 or something, a water deity came from the waters of Yunmeng and told him of his powers/potentials. Bunny then was take. To kunlun mountain or smth like that and found out that he controlled the void, darkness, some elements as well. Secondly, I would like help to find a fic, from what I remember Wei Ying was drunk on the rooftop when someone approached. In his drunken state, he thinks it was Lan Wangji that showed up so he goes on saying things like are you here to punish me again. He also asks why Lan Wangji hates him so much, but the whole entire time it was actually Lan Xichen he was talking to. I think it takes place after he got punished for drinking in Cloud Recess, and then something happens and he almost falls off the roof but Lan Xichen catches him. Lan Wangji had apparently witnessed the whole thing and tried to apologize but Lan Xichen coldly tells him the apology should be given to Wei Ying instead when he wakes up.

Every time he goes to Lan house he will go somewhere different from what he is looking for. Like he is supposed to go to a restroom but ended up in a kitchen. Lan Qiren then said to LWJ that his boyfriend might be a thief because he is always found somewhere he did not say he will go. Then when lqr visited lwj and wwx’s house, he found out that wwx got lost even to his own house. Like he cannot even find the mug and lwj has to say where it is. Lwj then said to lqr that it is because wwx got into an accident when he was a child, the same day he lost his parents. That is the reason for his terrible memory and eye sight. After that, lqr became soft to wwx. And every time Wangxian visited the Lan house. He will help wwx find what he is looking for.

god, Search For A Hero my beloved. for the Search For A Hero version of their team-up, I think I'd write it something like this

I think the biggest reason Tim says no when Jason asks him is Jason asks Tim too early in the arc. as the storyline develops, Tim gets more and more desperate to best Ulysses, which is what pushes him to make the mistake that gets Ulysses' siblings killed. he's in a tight spot and he misjudges the situation. (i think the guilt he carries from that moment is one of the biggest inciting incidents for becoming Red Robin) so, i'd introduce Jason to the plot just a little later. just as Tim is on the edge of desperation. Tim isn't entirely adverse to working with villains if he thinks he can stay on top of them. so instead of sending Jason to prison, i think if Jason came to Tim at the right time, Tim would begrudging accept Jason's help

part of Tim's plan would be leveraging Jason's power with the mafia/mob scene in Gotham. they'd agree that topping the gangs would just cause a power vacuum (i'm pretty sure that's actually addressed in SFAH but i could be misremembering) so it's more about a balancing act, which is where Jason thrives. Tim is right on the cusp of being willing to do more morally questionable things, so it'd be a fun internal war for him to second-guess himself at every turn.

there would be such a delightful lack of trust in their partnerships. TIm has *zero* reason to trust Jason, and while Jason likes Tim enough, i don't think he's naive enough to put any trust in Tim. so there'd be moments where they don't fill each other in on aspects of the plan. Jason kills people behind Tim's back, Tim keys in his cop friend behind Jason's back. it builds the tension between them with a lot of hot arguments that get more and more charged.

the jealousy. there would just have to be a scene where Jason gets wildly jealous over Ulysses' complex over Tim. Ulysses tries so hard to pit himself as like, Tim's biggest adversary, his opposite. and Jason would *despise* that. sure, Jason is working with Tim, but part of the fun is that they're still enemies as they do it. i think it'd be sort of fun to have the moment where Ulysses blows Tim up be something Jason witnesses and he raises unholy hell about. because if anyone is going to kill Tim Drake, it's going to be him. and that angry possessiveness is what makes the romantic/sexual tension something neither of them can ignore anymore.

Tim deciding to put on the Red Robin suit to fight Ulysses would be where Jason just. goes full tilt possessive "he's mine i marked him that's my suit. see. mine. i said so." and Tim would push back but. what ground does he have to stand on bc he could've picked any suit with any cowl to protect his head after the blast, but he did choose Jason's. it was his own open invitation to Jason in a way. and well. they fuck nasty about it. and then Damian becomes Robin, so why not Tim keep the suit and just maybe, keep Jason in his back pocket.

and!! for the Battle for the Cowl version. man on one hand i love "Tim accepts Jason's offer to be his Robin" fics but i feel they lack a bite to them, so this is personally how i would try to pull it off, while being relatively in character.

so the biggest thing for me is, TIm agrees to be Jason's Robin not because he trusts or likes Jason, but for the same reasons he became Robin in the first place: to keep Batman stable. being Jason's Robin isn't about wanting to work with Jason, it would be Tim knowing there's no world Jason is ever going to stop and seeing Jason slowly tip over the edge of madness and well. if Tim was self-sacrificial enough to do it for Bruce and attempt to do it for Jean-Paul, he can do it for Jason.

him agreeing would i think startle Jason. like, Jason's offer was never particularly serious because he's at the point he knows Tim wants nothing to do with him. so when Tim says yes it sort of. snaps Jason out of the rage BftC puts him in. he's so startled but enticed by the thought, he willingly agrees to stipulations Tim sets, like no murder. like even if just to see where this goes, Jason jumps on the chance.

i'd really want to keep Dick and Damian as Batman and Robin, and the weird divide that would exist with Dick/Damian and Jason/Tim both running around as Batman/Robin and how off kilter that puts Gotham. like Gotham is so baffled by it, it actually makes criminals easier to handle. because they have no clue if they're getting the Batman who needs Robin to keep him in line, or the Robin who needs Batman to keep him in line. people know there's two Batmans, two Robins and no one knows quite what to do with that information. who's the "real" Batman? who's the "real" Robin? and on the personal level, the divide between Dick and Tim would be unmistakable. Dick would know what Tim's doing and try to convince him Jason is a lost cause bc well, Dick at this point *really* believes Jason is a lost fucking cause. So Dick's genuine care and concern for Tim just drives a further wedge between them.

i think there'd need to be a scene where Tim flat out asks if Jason even *wants* to be Batman. in a sort of attempt to slowly ween Jason off of being Batman, but also because i don't think Jason ever really wants to be Batman, he just wants Batman to be what his vision of justice is. and it'd be the first real heart to heart they have, discussing the legacy of the Robin and Batman mantles and how it's affected them. it'd be heated, but it'd be their first real conversation as just. Jason and Tim.

to me, i think the end goal of this AU would be Tim successfully "taming" Jason, and not in like a soft way, but in like a manipulative way, where even Jason knows that's what Tim is doing, but he just goes along with it because it's the first real human connection he's had in a while. also, i would work in Scarlet, Jason's sidekick in Batman & Robin (2009) as like. a pseudo daughter figure for them to help Jason find his humanity a bit. so it's not just Tim as Jason's rock, but also this misguided girl they'd both try to help. and well, then they ride into the sunset and all that, but still have a complicated, toxic dynamic they're both aware is unhealthy, but as balanced as it can be.

Because before Charles had love, he had colère, fighting back from P7 after Max edged him off the track in France. There was envie, watching his childhood rival slide into the seat of an F1 car through the screen of his laptop, balanced on his knees where he sat on the floor of his bedroom. With Ferrari, there was frustrazione from the garage as Charles watched Max take the chequered flag in front of a backdrop that he’d been looking at for 23 years. It was Charles’ view before Max knew it existed, and that was devastazione, heartbreak.

(Charles knows now that for Max, before there was love, there was pijn and there was snelheid and there was very little else.)

He’s known how to battle Max since before he knew English. He learned how it felt to overtake Max on track before he learned how to fit his mouth around the word - ‘overtake.’ Before he knew disappointment, before he knew victory, he knew déception, watching Max beat him and la victoire, beating Max.

In all of Charles’ memories, in each of his milestones, Max is there. In the pits, on the podium, thighs pressed together in the curve of the couch. For as far back as his memory extends, there has been racing boots and rubber, and around the apex of every turn, always there is Max.

Seven months after that afternoon in Monaco, Charles watches Max take the top step of a podium for the tenth time in a year and the hundredth time in his memory. He looks up at the boy he’s been battling nearly all his life and it’s the first time he’s seen him and thought fierté, proud.

Somewhere between that night in Abu Dhabi and two and a half years later in Imola, though, the weight of the world has switched shoulders. He’s won, and it’s not a Championship but for now, for today, he can’t imagine winning anything that would matter more. Fresh out of the harbor, the Monégasque salt still stinging in his eyes, he thinks of every kilometer he’s ever driven, every podium he’s ever stood on, every moment he’s spent fighting for this, and always, toujours, sempre the person beside him. Monaco is Formula 1 and Monaco is home – a pair of associations that belong to the streets of Monte Carlo and only one other thing.

The champagne is sparkling in his bloodstream when he returns to the paddock, but it dims in comparison to the feeling he gets when he meets Max’s eyes. It is nothing to run to him and it is everything to reach him.

Max whispers words and they are English, but they could be any language and Charles would still understand. It is Abu Dhabi, it is Val D’Argenton, it is Monaco in Max’s gaze when his arms fit tightly around Charles. When Charles kisses Max, there are no words left. It’s desperation, it’s passion, it’s two decades in the making. It’s wet with Charles’ tears – relief like a victory lap – and it’s amour, amore. 41. hello! for fic finder, may i ask for a great tumblr meta that i cant find anywhere? (i feel like i should disclaim that ppl should read what they find hot. i just saw a recent mxtx interview that said like the exact same thing as the meta and thought it was cool)

the meta talks about how mxtx specifically choosing to write lwj as a top WAS the gnc option. i think op was just frustrated about some people insisting that switching/top wwx was ‘less heteronormative’ (as a justification for liking it??). i think op mentioned that this seems like a western take on mdzs?

42. This fic is a modern au, I think that both LZ and WY are cultivators, WY specifically is kind of a witch (?), he messes with dark magic and lives in a haunted town or something like this. There’s a reencounter between the two (I don’t know if by chance or if LZ tracks WY) and at some point LZ gets worried that WY is sorrounded by ghosts/resentful energy, but he is aware of the situation. I think WY even has a pet crow/cat, but I’m not sure. And the plot may envolve him being isolated, running away or being expelled because of his methods of cultivation. Also, I’m pretty sure there’s a fanart featured in the story that has Wangxian and the haunted place WY lives/takes care. #4A of post

50. For FF, I can’t recall if it was time travel or not, but the scene I recall: CR arc, WWX refusing to copy his punishment texts in the library. He confessed to LWJ that he wasn’t planning to complete the copying because the punishment was unfair. He said something like: it takes more than 1 to cheat (I think it was the cheating bit) but I’m the only one being punished. And that opened LWJ’s eyes for the punching JZX scene. A/N: Heya everyone!!! I know, it's been a while since I wrote anything. But I decided to do Whumptober!!! Anyway, I won't waste time. Here we go!

I only own Drusus, Keme, Veles, and Taika. Everything else belongs to Square Enix.

Search party / panic attack / "if only we could hold on."

"Drusus is not going to like this." Veles sighed as he and the team sans Keme retreated from the ninth realm.

And he was right.

When he learned that his husband was missing, Drusus immediately volunteered to search for him. While the Ice Cavern wasn't a hard dungeon, the freezing air, along with the monsters roaming inside, could potentially mean death to the missing thief if he stayed long enough. So Veles, Taika, Tyro, and Aerith tagged along in the search party just in case things get dicey.

Drusus and the others called out for Keme as they searched, their voices echoing deep in the cavern. Monsters had tried to attack them, but they managed to defeat them with ease. For hours, the team searched. And searched.

Yet, Keme was nowhere to be found.

Drusus grew desperate at this point. He began to bark orders to the others, despite Tyro's protests, telling the others to split up and look. Using his authority as a mercenary leader of his group back home, Drusus was able to guide the team well. He knew that Tyro was a Record Keeper, hence he should lead, but so far his plans didn't come to fruition.

"Veles, Taika, left cavern. Tyro, Aerith, right cavern. I got the middle. Come back here in an hour."

Tyro knew not to argue with someone who was desperate, so he went with Aerith to the cavern Drusus ordered him to go to. Veles and Taika did the same, and Drusus rushed into the middle cavern, searching for the love of his life. His eyes darted back and forth, his ears opened as he searched for anything that could point Keme's whereabouts.

"Keme!" Drusus called, cupping his mouth as he did so. His voice echoed, but he didn't hear a response.

Drusus cursed under his breath, as he continued searching. Last time he was seen, according to Tyro, Keme was with the team down this cavern. They were then ambushed by monsters, and Keme ended up getting separated from them. The team was injured, however, and they had no choice but to flee the scene.

"KEME!" Drusus called again, louder this time. No response still.

"Baby! Please tell me you're okay! If you can hear me, scr—"

He stopped when he stepped on something wet. The smell of iron hit his nose, as he froze for a few seconds. His eyes widened, recognizing the smell. He had known that smell for many years; being a mercenary stopping and even killing criminals and monsters had its cons.

He glanced down, and his eyes grew wider when he saw what he was standing in.

A puddle of blood. Ahead of Drusus were bloodied footprints on the ice, near two large icicles that protruded from the ground.

"Dammit," Drusus gritted his teeth, now knowing that it was Keme's blood. Keme was nearby, he just knew it.

He rushed forward, following the footprints that led him between the icicles. There. Crumbled on the icy ground. There was a figure curled up and covered in blood.

Upon seeing the green clothing, Drusus' breathing hitched as his heart nearly stopped. His eyes grew so wide his eyelids disappeared.

"KEME!" He screamed.

He squeezed himself through the icicles, shivering as the ice touched his skin. He then ran towards his beloved, his heart racing. He gathered his husband in his arms, picking him up. The thief's face was pale, and his skin cold to the touch. Large bloody gashes adorned his chest and abdomen, the gashes so deep, Drusus could see a large amount of blood pouring down.

Drusus' face paled, his breathing hitched as he gently shook Keme's unmoving body. Keme didn't stir.

"Keme?" Drusus whispered. "Keme, wake up. It's me, Drusus."

No response.

"Keme. Keme!" Drusus' whispering turned to shouting, as he shook Keme again.

Keme remained silent and still.

Tears began to fall down the monk's cheeks, as he sobbed. He buried his face in Keme's chest, not caring that his beloved's—his beloved's—blood smeared on his face. He cried, his heart breaking into tiny pieces at the realization.

Keme. His husband. The one he swore to protect. Was dead—

"D-Drussy…?"

Drusus stopped his pathetic crying, as he glanced down at Keme. Keme began to stir, whispering Drusus' pet name over and over. Keme's body shook—whether from the blood loss or the cold, Drusus wasn't sure—as he opened his eyes.

Drusus' eyes widened as he let out a gasp. More tears fell, but this time, they were happy tears.

Keme was alive. Keme was alive! Oh thank Cosmos.

"Keme!" Drusus whispered, hugging his beloved tightly, as if he was afraid of losing Keme if he let go. "Oh thank Cosmos, I-I thought you were…"

"I… knew you'd come," Keme whispered, returning the hug. Although, his hug was weak due to his waning strength.

"Of course I would, love," Drusus sniffled. "I-I was so scared when I found you. Please, don't scare me like that again."

"Hey," Keme chuckled, "I'm okay. I was just chilling while waiting for you."

Drusus couldn't help but snort. Despite nearly dying, Keme kept his goofy personality, much to Drusus' relief.

Kissing Keme on the forehead, Drusus then said, "Come on, let's get you fixed up."

Keme merely nodded, his arms around Drusus' neck as Drusus left the cavern to meet the others. Taika and Aerith immediately began to heal Keme, as Veles and Tyro used Fire spells to warm the thief up. Keme couldn't help but smile at the care he was given. He was so lucky to have a husband and good friends like them.
