For a request could you do like a "What if?" situation, what could've happened if Toji won against Gojo and Geto, coming back to Megumi and a girl he met and wanting to be better for them and be happy, with fluff? I hope I explained myself 🥹

Toji would have never imagined that he’d find himself in this spot. Falling in love again was not in his cards. He lost his damn mind, and for a moment all was bleak.

Life was the same. Job after job. Another life taken, a stupid amount of money wasted in a matter of days, leeching off women until another job was available— But after a damn near death experience with the stupid Gojo brat, Toji decided to change something… Yeah, that’s what he tells you.

Toji had no plans on changing anything until he met you.

He doesn’t know what it was. He saw you and couldn’t tear his eyes off you, until he got his ass off his chair and walked over to you. He took you out, laughed for the first time in what felt like eons, paid the bill and got your number. All to be repeated once again. And again. And again.

A moment of clarity hit, and his life took a turning point. He picked up his act, along with his kid. Though he might regret it now.

“Seriously? This stupid movie again?” Toji complains, watching as Megumi picks the same movie. A film that the poor man has had to watch five times over the past week. Five-year-old Megumi just fixates on something and won’t let it go for months.

“It’s a good movie! You can’t blame Megumi for choosing it.” You quickly defend the child, not wanting Megumi to listen to the criticism from his father. Toji’s a big whiner— He’s just bored because nobody is getting shot in the film.

“Yeah, whatever.” Toji rolls his eyes as he plops down on the couch, right beside you. The bucket of popcorn that he holds is quickly taken, seized by you. Toji throws his arm over your shoulder, bringing you closer to him before placing a chaste kiss on your temple.

You smile at him, a look that somehow conquered the man’s heart. He doesn’t know what it was… What it is. But you’ve managed to make him fall head over heels for you.

The purest thoughts run through his head, but your dirty dirty mind decides to speak. Your lips go to his ear, whispering, “Let’s save the X-Rated movie for later.”

He smirks, loving the idea. He’ll just have to find a way to knock Megumi out, but he can do that, no doubt.

“Okay, it’s ready!” Megumi exclaims as he runs to the couch to take a seat between the two of you. It’s what makes Toji regret ever picking up the brat. Megumi can’t give you two an ounce of space, he’s always plopped right in between.

“You managed to set up the movie all on your own? Good job, Megumi.” Toji ends up praising the boy, ruffling the child’s hair. He ends up smiling at his blessing, the slight annoyance quickly fading away.

“He’s smart, Toji. He can set it up faster than you.” You joke, your finger reaching over to poke the man’s cheek. Toji ends up scoffing.

“Yeah, yeah.” The man responds. He’s falling asleep at the opening music, already finding himself bored. He can’t believe it. He got himself a shit job that pays little to no money to support you two. All to not be able to pick the movie he wants to watch, for the popcorn to be taken from him, and for a stinky child to be in the middle of him and his girlfriend.

Toji shakes his head disappointedly, reaching over and taking the bowl of popcorn from your lap. All for you to whine, which makes him give it back.

It might not be ideal, but Toji wouldn’t have it any other way. His life has color once again, and he has no one else to thank but you.

hello I am still feeling salty so I am going with some underrated/obscure fic recs that you should definitely make some time for!

The Future's Owned by You and Me (quillsand)- Criminally underrated Feuilly/Enjolras fic, the best Enjolras/Feuilly fic out there in fact. Some day the fandom will have to answer for the fact that this fic went under the radar in front of a court of law.

In an Age without Heroes (ShitpostingFromTheBarricade)- see above comments re: fandom answering for its crimes of letting great fics be underrated. It's a soulmate AU, but not as you know it (And it's also SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT)

Epiphany (Abidatchery)- beautifully written seasonal fic with great characterisation.

A Bad Penny (PBJellie)- Gay cowboys and banter, what more could you ask for

Vienna Roast (revolutionbarbie)- I'd actually completely forgotten about this one before I went fic rec searching, but it's fab and now I'm looking forward to a reread. A spin on the 'addiction fics' we sometimes see in the fandom, and a coffee shop au <3

(When We Were Young) We Used to Dream about Fires (LittleHandGrenade)- if you're looking for some angst and capable of being terrible Enjolras, check this one out

And the Nights Are Warm (readwritesleep)- OK so maybe I haven't actually read this one yet and it's just on my TBR, but I have it on good authority that it's a good one!

He blinks at the bundle of joy in your arms. A small thing with his pink hair and red eyes but also your chubby cheeks and doe-like eyes.

You were trying to get your husband to hold his daughter.

The throne room was empty so, much to Sukuna's favour, no one was there to witness how tense and awkwardly the King of Curses sat on his throne while his two monstrous arms held a tiny, fragile baby.

"Be gentle. Support her head." Your soft voice instructed him.

But Sukuna was not made for gentleness. Sure, he tries with you... but this is entirely different. He felt like he could crush the baby even if he stayed perfectly still.

So he scoffed. "This is ridiculous. Take her back." I might break her. He refrained from adding.

But you saw his tense look and noticed the slight panic in his tone. After being married to this powerful man for years, you know your husband better than anyone else does.

"Love, it's okay. You're doing great." You assured him with a tender hand on his shoulder.

He looked down at his daughter who blinked at him with a curious stare. And then, she lifted her tiny, little hand up.

Sukuna found himself lifting his third hand, hesitantly bringing it closer to her.

And when his little girl grabbed his pinky in her small hand, and when she smiled at him before bursting into soft giggles, he swore the flames ignited in his heart were stronger than his own fuga.

His shoulders relaxed and his lips twitched into a small smile. He lowered his hand to gently trace his daughter's chin with his large thumb.

"Hmph. You have your mother's smile." He commented.

He found himself smiling for the second time when he felt you lean against him as both of you looked down at your beautiful, little girl.

Yes I DID spend the whole time reading chapter 3 of The Lovely April thinking that @ladytessa74 invented Frog and Toad and also a whole OC backstory for the author who is in fact a real person. Luckily I can now enjoy the stories for myself 😍 (Thank you Tessa!)

Anyway, Tessa knocked it out of the park yet again and I highly, highly recommend The Lovely April generally but especially chapter 3 for anyone processing ~*recent events*~

Under My Wings You Will Find Refuge- Fiver. Bestie it didn't just fuck me up it altered my brain chemistry

Another good one for this is Be Strong and Stand With Me- Lynchy8- Everything I love about a dystopia au is packed into this fic- Very dark tone, lots of Enjolras whump, a plot that will punch you in the face with all its twists and turns. GOD it's been so long since I've read this one but it's 10/10

a fic that's best read at 3am

fire in my hands- geode. This fic is hilarious and will give you the giggles. What better time to have the giggles than 3am?

sukuna who is known to be huge and overpowering. his body built for violence and destruction and nothing more, nothing less.

ever since his youth he has learned the inevitable destruction he has caused and has made peace with it.

until now.

now, he holds his precious daughter in his arms. such a sweet, small thing that he created.

he finds it hard to believe when the nurse tells him that she's a little small than usual babies. coming from a giant like him it's strange that he's produced something so small and fragile.

the nurse reassures that it's nothing to worry about too much as she'll grow to a healthy weight over time.

'you birthed this little thing?' he murmurs, staring down at the child. her eyes are still closed, her screaming now coming to a stop. small and peaceful, something sukuna is foreign to.

'please don't call our child a thing 'kuna' you noted, your tone has no snappiness to it, exhausted from the birth. 'and you were by my side the entire what do you mean did I birth her?'

it's a stupid question. and he knows it but sukuna offers no reply to you, his eyes are glued to his child. she's quiet now in her father's arms as if he provides her the solace she's been searching for.

tiny arms and legs and even tinier fingers and toes, he can't believe it. the wisps of her hair and her lashes, every fine detail contains a part of him. so small and innocent, unlike her villainous father known to cause death and destruction.

it's like no other moment that has happened matters more than this.

as sukuna studies his baby girl he makes a promise to himself.

to look after and protect her at all costs.

no matter what.

To Build a Home by @freneticfloetry - A Carlos begins that is so well-written I didn't know what to do with myself after I'd finished it. It's an absolute knock-out and a must read, especially if you're looking for fics that really dig deep into a particular character or are looking for a lesson in character study.

Precious Love by @rmd-writes - This explores TK grappling with his lack of self-worth in his young life, until he meets Carlos and realises he deserved love all along. I remember being absolutely wrecked by the child-TK sections. Like the above two, a must-read, heart and soul. Beautiful writing!

Have you by any chance been reading this amazing Tarlos stalker fic called You Keep Coming Back With A Bird In Your Teeth!? The author is called vaguenotion (I think...), but I've never seen them on Tumblr.
