Hey! Thanks for reaching out. I just found out about this yesterday. Fiberista Club did not reach out to me about using my pattern- they didn't even pay full price for the copy they used. I have messaged them and emailed them but heard nothing, which is disappointing considering they promised to reach out and rectify this but the only news i got was from other ravelers! Thanks again!

FIBERISTA CLUB MAY 2017

3 Skeins of Shibui in either Lunar (60/40 merino + silk - lace), Reed (linen - fingering), or Drift (85/15 merino + cashmere - worsted)  I have no idea what all the colors are (see the mood boards above) but I received the “Apple” colorway on the Lunar yarn base.

Personal Update

Not Much going on here. Just working on Mothers Day gifts Which I’ll be posting pictures of as I go.

There are some sub boxes on their way so I should be posting those in the next week or so. 

My sickness is definitely getting better. I ended up seeing a doctor on Tuesday because there was blood and she said it’s just a bad cold but if you saw or heard me any time in the last week and a half you would not think it’s JUST a cold. 

anyway 

HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO - have a margarita or a taco while you knit! - just don’t mess up that pretty pretty yarn.

Thoughts

I’m pretty happy with both of these boxes and it worked out surprisingly well that they kind of go together so I’m thinking of making socks with the Jimmy Bean yarn and maybe a skirt or a shawl with the Fiberista Yarn.

If I were going to pick one though it would have to be Fiberista. It is more expensive per month but there’s way more value to it. 3 skeins of great yarn that probably totals at least 75$ for 50$ if you go month to month with no discount (which of course I did not) plus the patterns are, lets say, another 10-15 dollars. It’s just a great deal and plenty of product to make something with plus I can find a LYS that carries it and get more if needed. :)

I love the idea of exclusive yarns but Jimmy bean only gives you one skein that costs less than the cost of the subscription itself, again it is exclusive so it’s worth more than the typical Babs skein and it came with that nice project pouch but still, it seems more like breaking even than getting a bargain like you do with most other sub boxes. 

For now I’m keeping both because I’m quite happy with the colors :)

OTHER STUFF!

Didn’t get to knit much this week, I was preoccupied with relationshipping <3

I got all of my Knitcrate subscriptions and one from Darn Good Yarn. There are others on the way but I’m hoping to post what I have today or tomorrow and eventually do some review and comparison videos and maybe show what nonsense I’m working on.

I ordered a bunch of circular needles to work on socks and hats! 

I also ordered a hand crank yarn winder and a tabletop swift :)

I’ve decided the that I will work on some smaller projects while I do the experimental scarf because I didn’t quite realize what an undertaking it would be when I started it but my goal is to still do a section a week if I can. This week was a bit weird. I usually have more free time.

We’re going to be setting up and unpacking the first floor soon (it had water damage from the neighbors and was being repaired for a while) so I’ll have a real work area and storage again!! - though actually setting it all up will probably set me back a bit more.
