Chicago Yarn Crawl 2017 was a blast!

Hi Roxie, I'm reaching out to you because I received your pattern 'The Spring Shawl' through a yarn subscription box (Fiberista Club) in February 2017. Unfortunately, it's come to light that FC was sending out many patterns without the authorization of the designers. For my (and the other members) peace of mind, could you confirm if this pattern was sent with your authorization? If not, please see the Ravelry 'Demon Trolls' group on how to proceed. Thanks! Hey! Thanks for reaching out. I just found out about this yesterday. Fiberista Club did not reach out to me about using my pattern- they didn't even pay full price for the copy they used. I have messaged them and emailed them but heard nothing, which is disappointing considering they promised to reach out and rectify this but the only news i got was from other ravelers! Thanks again!

Personal Update

Not Much going on here. Just working on Mothers Day gifts Which I’ll be posting pictures of as I go.

There are some sub boxes on their way so I should be posting those in the next week or so. 

My sickness is definitely getting better. I ended up seeing a doctor on Tuesday because there was blood and she said it’s just a bad cold but if you saw or heard me any time in the last week and a half you would not think it’s JUST a cold. 

anyway 

HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO - have a margarita or a taco while you knit! - just don’t mess up that pretty pretty yarn.

OTHER STUFF!

Didn’t get to knit much this week, I was preoccupied with relationshipping <3

I got all of my Knitcrate subscriptions and one from Darn Good Yarn. There are others on the way but I’m hoping to post what I have today or tomorrow and eventually do some review and comparison videos and maybe show what nonsense I’m working on.

I ordered a bunch of circular needles to work on socks and hats! 

I also ordered a hand crank yarn winder and a tabletop swift :)

I’ve decided the that I will work on some smaller projects while I do the experimental scarf because I didn’t quite realize what an undertaking it would be when I started it but my goal is to still do a section a week if I can. This week was a bit weird. I usually have more free time.

We’re going to be setting up and unpacking the first floor soon (it had water damage from the neighbors and was being repaired for a while) so I’ll have a real work area and storage again!! - though actually setting it all up will probably set me back a bit more.
