Can I ask a bit about your process for making Nova Fae and Goblin? I have this need to make my ffxv ocs but also I dont even know where to begin

Nova: For Nova, I just made a person in character creator for comrades to play with Mod Mae and slowly built up her personality and life. I find that I put in a little bit of my own personality when I make characters and Nova was no different. If you want any specific information I'm more than happy to answer! Mae: Absolutely! Thank you for asking! I encourage OCs whole-soul. For my Goblin OC, I tried to tug at the avatara sliders until I got something that was normal looking in that dorky, non-glamorous way, like someone I'd pass at the coffee shop. I love how detailed the face and body options are, even if the hair and clothing options are... slim pickings. I don't know what compelled me to take Sarah's dress and Gentiana's boots, but they stuck.

(My efforts to mod new avatara clothes began about two months ago and have as of yet proven futile.)

Writing with Nova really filled in the rest! Goblin's gimmick is that she has every opportunity to make good decisions, but is ineluctably compelled towards bad decisions, namely Ardyn. I then try to let that inform my screenshots by catching the patron saint of responsibility making sour faces at her, and also cheating Ardyn into the party so that they can stand vaguely near each other while I pine and blush and accidentally die to a havocfang.

omg you'll never believe this but (if i got the guy right, i might not because I never played a single ff game) then dane's very first concept art hair was inspired by [ this image ] and i'm pretty sure that's the guy we're talking about lmao. what a coincidence! full circle.

secondly, yes, there's a mentioned motherly figure in the gang as well but she, well, she's dead. took a stab for the mc, actually. her name was june (or junebug as many called her) and she's the one that brought ash (formely known as sam) into the club to begin with. she still plays a big role in the game as a memory, and you might just have to face her conflicted, grieving family.

sadly there won't be any matchmaking for keno. his heart can't really handle another sudden romance after the fallout with/being cut out by his family (ex-family?). married to the job, is what he'd say. there will be conversations about them though, if you get close enough to be big lug. personal talks are a bit difficult for him anyway.

(also, good guess! but it was ash on the saddest path. could see it being angel though!)

Development hell made noctluna the worst romance of the series. They never interact as adults but only briefly as children and somehow maintained their long distance relationship through a magic notebook for 10 years. There's no sublime tragedy or subtle beauty about it. Noctis had more chemistry in the prototype scene with Stella and a crossover mission with Sarah than he ever did with Luna. They tried to evoke Aerith's death with Luna's death but since she was never a real character it failed.

It really was an arranged marriage and showed, their relationship was underdeveloped which was such a shame. I think they got something like, 10 minutes of screen time together in the entire game?

That being said, I did enjoy FFXV for the boy crew banter, which made up for the lack of a romantic storyline.

I know I’m kinda late to the party but I just played Terra Wars and I need to ask what the hell that was about? It added nothing to the main story, Sarah is there and we learn a little about her but not a lot so what was it for? For it to be like “Look here’s Noct interacting with a girl without his friends!”

Also Noct is kinda a jerk to start with, maybe Sarah just handled it better being there and Noct is on edge but jesus, when he yelled at her for doing things by herself and theyre a shit team like um Noct? Your idea of teamwork in the main game is people doing as you say and that’s it plus they’re your friends. I dunno I got a little riled when he got mad at her like only reason she was on that log to start with was because she was getting your phone back for you.
