Even if others forget your name...  I will always remember. Happy birthday Ardyn! I tried something a little differentfrom how I usually do things, I think I like it! I am sad that I ran out of time with the background through. I was too busy futzing with the flowers.

Included the wips - you can see that the colours were all sorts of wrong the first time around, so I went back and just went full ham. Now it's nice and colourful and not extra gray anymore

In A Long-Lost Field

I made this comic as a gift for Rihawanderer in X during FFXV secret santa 2022 event. The story was about hurt/comfort between Ardyn Lucis Caelum and Aera Mirus Fleuret, lovers who had been apart for two millennia.

When we shedded a tear watching Noctis reuniting with his bride, Lunafreya, in afterlife. In the meanwhile, Ardyn's soul would go somewhere which I didn't seem to care then. But after watching Episode Ardyn's second title screen, I imagined Ardyn's ending credits in a long-lost field with his beloved Aera. After two millennia in agony and longing, reuniting with her was his best comfort of all.

And the perfect background music for this story is original soundtrack from Gladiator.

Comrades, chapter 1.3.

Tremendously difficult for me to admit this, but I have to be honest with myself and recognise that I just don't have the time to render this next chapter to completion. I've been holding on to these pages for almost a year at this point - I've scripted so much of this story, but if I'm going to get it all out, bare bones at at times will have to do.

Next chapter will likely be sketchy as well... but one way or another I still want to tell this tale.
