For Humble it would be Smoked Raptor. Traditional Hellsguard cooking tends to be spartan and unrefined - arguably rivalling the cuisine of Sharlayan in unappetising plainess, albeit for very different reasons. The lack of agriculture means that meals are usually meat-based, supplemented with bitter mountain herbs or tubers dug up from the mountainsides.

Smoked Raptor is one of the rare Hellsguard dishes that has found some popularity beyond the north of Abalathia's Spine. Its flavour relies upon the aromatic smoke from the wood over which it is cooked, rather than exotic spices or marinades. And, although the version enjoyed in wider Eorzea tends to be cooked with lemon juice and black pepper, in order to emulate the resinous pinesmoke of the original version, it still reminds Humble of his home and his heritage.

It was one of the first things Humble learned how to make for himself after leaving Farreach and, although it is not generally considered a breakfast food in Eorzea, it was not unusual amongst the Hellsguard to eat any leftovers from the previous evening's meal cold in the morning - little is wasted in the harsh environs of the northern mountains.

Deliberately chose the binary yes/no, but with the caveat that you can be as pedantic as you like because it's about how you FEEL. Are they from Doma but actually that nice farm you can see across the water in Yanxia and so you've never set foot there but you sort of feel at home in the zone? You can click yes. You made them from Dalmascus and an alliance raid runs right past their old front door, but it doesn't feel like a legit place to hang out in game and you're sad they didn't give us a full zone out there? Click no!

I've wondered about this since I started playing because the character creator gives you vague geographic details before you even start and maybe know nothing about the world, and then takes you up to the starter city like you're from somewhere else, and sometimes if you roll a character without knowing the story you end up accidentally Magnai's long-suffering sibling because of your choices and the naming conventions in the randomiser. How much drastic change has that caused or are you sticking with early OC characterisation plans?

still in the character development stage of chilli jam, blorbo havers of tumblr does anyone have any silly little nonsensical headcanons for her? nothing groundbreaking or dramatic, just silly stuff like she doesnt like pickles, she does milk before cereal etc

what i DO have for her so far is that she is 2y older than wint, so arr shes 22, and my hc for ew timeframe would put her at 28, she was in the sirens along with wint and they are besties, always bailing eachother out of situations and predicaments (gonna pick up rouge on her when i get to that point bc thats a piratey thing and also viper), shes also not wol or even scion, shes just wints childhood bestie

also thinking maybe she picks up bsm after wint joins the maelstrom, ynow their 'get proper jobs n stuff era'

The Loporrit forced him to take snack breaks as he helped them refurbish, someone must have tipped them off about his occasionally unhealthy coping habits.

Growing up in Ul'dah, his mother would tell him stories of high red stone walls gleaming in the morning light. Of city squares echoing with drums and dancing. Of markets teaming with merchants from every corner of Gyr Abania, the old man who sold the best tunics, the coffee vendor who would read your fortune in the grounds for an extra coin, the grandmother of thirteen who sold kube and yaprakh from a tiny stall while lamenting how great her misfortune to have so few descendants.

Of the day they would return.

He had waited five and twenty years to lay his eyes on those walls, following the Bull of Ala Mhigo to war against his mother's wishes and all good sense... but the drums were silent, the dances forgotten, the vendors long gone...

Only echoes remained.
