So I finally got to start my adventure in FF14 with Ta'sha. It took several days to even get set up, and then to get into the server. I chose Malboro, but if I can figure out how to server jump then I will when I want to. I met up with a friend and he jumped from his server to help me out, and since he's been playing for a long ass time, he was level 90. And gave me 40,000 gil to help get me started.

I'm using my xbox 360 controller for this, but I'm glad that I can still use the mouse for a few things I haven't figured out how to use on the controller yet without having to jump through hoops. I got to experience battle, nearly died if I kept just standing there casting spells. And to get used to the aethernet to fast travel. I hope eventually I can find my way around the most important of places.

I have no excuse tbh. I keep meaning to come back properly and maybe figure out how the RP side works and give myself a pretty profile and the like but I don’t even know where to start!! There’s also the whole cycle of ‘it’s quiet here compared to tw*tter so I won’t put much effort in’ ‘I haven’t put much effort in so not many people will interact’.

Thinking about it, like 95% of my RP goes on discord these days so this may well just turn into a blog for my rambling about my favourite Elezens. (Fine, Hyur too.) I also play Estinien (who’s my main besides Foulques, was my only main when I started RP last year!), Carvallain, Lucia and Vrtra, who also deserve ramblings about them. >_>

Timelines were tricky, and there was no telling if this Louisoix individual was even around any longer. Or perhaps, Genesis had miscalculated and had arrived long before the rise of the elder primal Bahamut or that fabled Phoenix that had contested it. He hoped that wasn't the case. "...or help just hand me that fruit up there hanging by your head. My supplies were misplaced."

general update:

playing way too much ffvix. it was pretty much all i did in my free time in 2023 and most of 2024. still casually play a few times a week.

jay and i got married aug 2023. we started streaming sept of 2024 as a couple streamer. (thecryptidcouple/thecryptidcpl)

i've been on and off reading books. i'm on it rn, binged fourthwing and iron flame in a week and a half, waiting for onyx storm to come out next week. i'm reading boy parts to keep the reading habit going, without jumping into another series. i started that yesterday, and read over half of it. so i might need to find another book to read and finish before monday night.

trying to get back into art and drawing, but the decision paralysis has been a huge problem lol

im sure there is other things i'm not thinking of, but if i feel like it i'll post about it.
