I’m sorry but why would anyone even get the impression that Jimin said the bit about going snowboarding with Jk to feed shippers? Jimin was clearly mistaken and we understand where the mistake could have come from after hearing him say he went snowboarding with Jungkook’s friends so he might has thought Jk was there too. I’m saying this because I have seen some tkkrs dragging him on twitter, calling him a liar and accusing him of feeding shippers. Jimin is the one who spent the entire solo era crushing jkkrs delusions by talking about not eating Jk’s ramen yet or not going to Jk’s place. He was also the one who said no when Jungkook wanted to go over to his place to do a Live and we all know the countless theories jkkrs would have come up with if that happened so why would anyone accuse him of lying or trying to feed shippers when he has had better chances to lie and feed shippers but didn’t?

No offense to you peach but why can’t you just take Jimin’s word for it? In the solo era Jimin mentioned many times being with Yoongi and no one asked him to so why can’t you take his words for it when he said he was with Jungkook at 4am? If he was with Yoongi why wouldn’t he say it? It is clear that Jimin and Yoongi cried over the phone and not in person because if Jimin was with Yoongi too he wouldn’t have only mentioned being with Jungkook. What evidence do you think you have that trumps Jimin’s own words? Is the evidence Yoongi saying he cried with Jimin all night? How is that evidence that it was in person? Yoongi was seated there, Jungkook was seated there too when Jimin said he was with Jungkook so if Yoongi was there too then why didn’t yoonkook say anything when Jimin only mentioned being with Jk? The members clearly said they called each other after hearing the news and then yoongi said he cried all night with Jimin. If we have to take his words very literally then some people would also call Yoongi a liar because we know that Jimin only heard about the news after 4am and was the one who told Jungkook about it, he only member telling Jungkook and nothing about Yoongi. Jimin spoke with namjoon, namjoon spoke with Jungkook, Tae and Jimin also talked on the phone and Tae even asked Jimin to come sleep by his side and then Jimin also mentioned crying till about 7am when he fell asleep and he said after he and Jungkook got the news they just sat there looking at their phones and caressing it. It must have taken Jimin atleast 30 minutes to talk with the other members which means that him and Yoongi couldn’t have cried all night like yoongi said (if taken very literally) but maybe just for about an hour or so because Jimin said he fell asleep by 7am. Any reasonable person knows that Yoongi didn’t lie but would also understand that sometimes when people say all night, they don’t mean all night literally. The issue that I have with with you said is that you are implying that Jimin had to tweak the truth to paint a certain narrative which in this case would be feeding shippers and my question is, if he wanted to feed shippers would he have spent the entire solo talking about the things he did with yoongi and the things he didn’t do with Jk?

Even now you are trying to make it look like Jimin hanging out with Jk’s friends 7 years ago is less meaningful because they must not have formed a strong bond then and my question to you is why? If you believe strongly in taekook then why does it bother you that Jimin hung out with Jk’s friends? I think it bothers you because you are trying to make it less meaningful than Jk hanging out with Tae and his friends even though it’s been known for years that Jimin and Jungkook have mutual friends and Jimin has been around Jungkook’s friends alot especially Eunwoo. I don’t think all of this is necessary if you truly believe in taekook. Jimin being around Jungkook alone at certain times without Yoongi or being around his friends doesn’t prove anything but that they are friends who hang out with each other’s friends sometimes and there is nothing strange about that.

I hope I didn’t come off disrespectful but I just have never understood why you have always tried so hard to prove that Jimin was with yoongi that night when we all know that he would have said it if he was just like he mentioned being with Jungkook. Jimin has never shyed away from talking about times he’s been with Yoongi or talked to him so what reason did he have to lie or tweak the truth then? More importantly why didn’t Jk or Yoongi correct him if Yoongi was with them too?

Ok so I think we need to just assume Jimin was mistaken? Like in the same breath he realises he was mistaken so let's just take that as it is. It does us no favours to discredit him when he's literally there saying he was wrong.

I then say this in defence of Jimin:

Because what you'd have to believe for this to be conscious shipper feeding is that Jimin made that trip up and I actually don't think anything is made up.

And I stand by that. Because of things like the Yoongi thing you seem really hung up on. Let's go back to what I said:

You're right to call me out on the evidence, I need to watch a video to verify and so what I should have said is "I believe there is" but I shouldn't have added that line if unsure. Regardless you'll note that my point is the same whether or not Yoongi was there in person and it actually matters not. Jimin says "I was with Jungkook" and shippers run with this kind of logic:

When, in actual, fact Jimin shared that night with RM on the group chat, Tae on the phone, Yoongi on the phone AND JK. So actually it's not them sharing the most important moment of their careers with just each other, is it? It's sharing it with anyone available.

As per usual, Jimin not the problem. Fans losing their shit over things that make no sense is the problem.

Sooooo.... We can expect that Yoongi can use hyperbole but Jimin would absolutely never? This is what I'm actually accusing Jimin of: A little bit of hyperbole for cuteness, entertainment or brevity. But you're coming at me with a "why can't we take him at his word?"

The problem is the shippers who aren't activating their critical thinking and running with the idea that Jimin was hanging out with JK's friends without him and that means they're married.

I said the relationship was less established which is true. I said the vibe would be different. Subjective but I think broadly we can agree. I didn't say but Jungkook not being there was another layer of difference. I said NOTHING about it being less meaningful. I'm sorry if facts have led you to that conclusion but I didn't say it.

It really actually doesn't bother me that he hung out with JK's friends. I think it's quite sweet actually and totally expected that a bunch of people in the same career might spend time together? I don't put that much emphasis on that story of Tae spending time with Mingyu to be honest because... yeah? Tae is a friendly guy and by all accounts, liked by a lot of idols. Jungkook wasn't there. Seems pretty nothing to me. It's only a Taekook thing when you lot start going on about how "only Jimin has that privilege!"

More than anything, I think you really need to realise one thing: Jimin's biggest flaw is people like you who fly off the handle with what you think someone said about him.
