I followed this Reddit post on a temporary fix for FFN being down these last few days. It worked for me (the trick I struggled with was opening Notepad and THEN navigating to the hosts file [correct], instead of trying to open the hosts file from the file explorer [incorrect]).

Most of my stuff is cross-posted to AO3, but I definitely have some FFN-exclusive things I'm relieved to grab for now 😭
