i’m still absolutely not over how realgar wine’s new bonus skin outfit has been a collaborated effort of everyone living in the dragon courtyard. longfeng stew came up with the idea, dragon well tea found the fabric, dragon’s beard candy sewed and embroidered it, zitui bun made the decorations. what could be a grander gesture that realgar wine belongs with them and is now a vital part of their family? what could be more telling than all of them putting in effort and time to make him something nice? for realgar wine, who never expected it at all and still sometimes felt like a stranger among them? 

realgar wine you are loved.

Unused Character Arts Compilation

Dragon’s Beard Candy for an advertisement, she has quite a few alternate versions I think (I’ve seen at least 4 not including her official art) but I couldn’t get HQ versions of them.

Popcorn in the 2017 June closed beta. Minor change, just the eyes as far I can tell. Gives me the vibes that he was originally designed to be a girl lol

Orange Juice, not sure when it was replaced with the current but it was certainly before official launch in 2017 December (For reference there were three beta testing periods that I know of, one in late June, one in late October, and the final one in early December before launch)

Cheese, was used in promo art and on the official site before the event launched on CN, whole head was redrawn. (Trust me the whole head was redrawn I did the comparisons I was so mad I prefer this version so much more) (Still dotter all the same tho)

Milt’s ascended, was in an old apk I found. The background that came with it was the one we have now.

Yunnan Noodles, this one is just here bc it’s a collab from the TW/HK server lol (And not in any other version as a result. If you were curious her ascended art was still like the other servers’, she just got a fancy basic art) It was a collab with TamJai (譚仔), a noodle chain from Hong Kong, you can see its Chinese characters in the red splotch on her shirt (kinda hard to read)

Milk Tea, also a collab from the TW/HK server. It’s a smaller difference this time, just the word “Chatime” on her book, which is a teahouse chain from Taiwan.

longfeng x realgar is hot\cute

but longfeng x longnjing x realgar is even better

cause like, it makes perfect sense. before realgar, longfeng had feelings for longjing, whish were sadly not returned. when longfeng started to grow over it, longjing started to realize as longfeng spent more and more time with realgar how much he misses him (though he would never admit it) and realizes that he also had feelings for longfeng. and, i mean i can see realgar having more of a distant crush on longjing, cause he lets him stay, also wants to make sure he isnt hurt either, so i can see a mini crush there.

tbh there's so many ships i would do with this group XD not just with longfeng, realgar, and longjing. hell, id even do dbc x zitui bun, since they are practically the parents of the group LOL. i mean, sure, longjing x zitui bun, but i feel like thats more one sided, not both if them (and the fact that zitui bun actually has no favorites while longjing does favor both longfeng and zitui kinda hints at the fact that longjing and zitui is one sided too)

idk, i am just ADORING THIS EVENT SO FAR! i love it, and its so pretty and relaxing. Fuck other people who say they hate it, i fucking LOVE this event and i am going hard to get longjing. the story is so good XD

dragon courtyard headcanons post.  probably not the last one, either, hah. 

 • while dragon well tea is the master of the courtyard and the dragon god, he does often spend time in his cave below the lake, or is off somewhere on his own business. when that happens, zitui bun picks up the role of a caretaker, making sure everyone is getting along well.   • dragon well tea has a habit of sometimes disappearing somewhere without warning, even for days at a time; the one person he will always, without fail inform about this, is zitui bun.   • naptime is taken seriously in the courtyard. there are times when zitui bun will come down to the underwater cave to sleep, and while dragon well tea doesn’t nap much himself, he will rest near zitui bun and read or meditate. whenever dragon well tea is gone for a long time, zitui’s underwater nap visits become more frequent.   • dragon well tea’s bone familiar prefers to spend time swimming in the lake, but does come up and floats in the air when summoned. it can carry around both muomuo and lury.   • dragon well tea and zitui bun are the couple that will read poetry to each other under the moonlight, with tea and light snacks, while holding each other close. frequently. 

 • dragonbun, while not over the top, but are very affectionate with each other; even if it’s something as simple as a lingering shoulder touch, or a forehead kiss, or a brief brush of hands. meanwhile realgar wine is too shy to even hold hands with longfeng stew if someone can see them.   • there are points in time when zitui bun and longfeng stew would have low key competition over who can fluster their partner the fastest. the scales are unfairly tipped because realgar wine is so easy to tease.   • realgar wine absolutely loves moumou. he visits the bunny daily, lets him to take naps on his lap, even tells him about the new concoctions and medicines he is working on before revealing the information to anyone else.   • dragon well tea cannot help but spoil moumou as well; allows the bunny to go wherever he pleases, even if it means sleeping in dragon well tea’s arms for hours on end. hand feeds him the finest vegetables that he receives as gifts from the villagers as offering to the dragon god. moumou is very grateful.   • with each passing season, moumou seems to be finding new friends as more and more bunnies appear in the courtyard. zitui bun smiles and says he has no idea how this happened.   • zitui bun and dragon’s beard candy practice playing their instruments together, sometimes performing entire duets with dragon’s beard candy also singing along. dragon well tea comes up from his cave and raises his head out of the lake to listen.   • dahongbao visits the courtyard, even during times that dragon well tea is absent, to catch up with everyone and hear dragon’s beard candy sing and play. each time he visits, he brings along ingredients that longfeng stew then snatches to make into a meal; just as dahongbao predicted.   • in general, longfeng stew makes the effort to cook something for everyone at least once a day, usually the evening when everyone can gather around and enjoy it as a family. he also makes sure to learn everyone’s favourite foods and how to cook it properly.   • longfeng stew is worried that realgar wine is overworking himself, especially when he shuts himself away with his experiments for days at a time without coming out. that is when longfeng stew insists on dragging realgar wine away from his work to take a walk, eat, do literally anything else and get some fresh air. at first realgar wine was annoyed and would argue about it; by now, he just gives in and allows longfeng stew to whisk him away for a bit, begrudgingly admitting that he needs that bit of rest after all.
