This episode was legit the best I’ve seen so far.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m upset there still wasn’t Fexi BUT I’m okay with it rn cause this episode was very very good.

Also when she pushed Fez THE ANGER I FELT but he handled it well. If it were me I would have walked into her.

Also his pants falling down was lowkey funny but he still cute tho

Also HER EXPOSING CASSIE LIKE HOLY-

She deserved it tho

Also the fact that it looked like Maddy is going to threaten Nate with a gun next episode, good for her.

Let’s give a round of applause for Zendaya cause dang that girl CAN ACT

Also I didn’t feel bad for Jules when Rue was yelling at her but I am glad she told Rue’s mom

Also, Elliot, go home. The fact he regrets telling Jules and liked the way Rue was when she wasn’t sober, RED FLAG BRO RED FLAG

Also Laurie is lowkey scary. Like she tries to come off as nice, giving Rue a warm bath BUT THEN INJECTS HER WITH MORPHINE

I was on EDGE watching Rue escape. Also that bird I creepy. Like I feel like it knows more than a bird should know.

Also is Rue’s full name actually Ruby or is that just what Laurie called her????

Also I NEED MORE KAT AND ETHAN. WHERE IS THAT STORY??? It looks like we’re getting it the next episode BUT UGH

Also it looked like Lexi is getting ready to meet Fez in the next episode as well SO HOPEFULLY WE’LL GET THE DANG COUCH SCENE

Also I love Cassie and Lexi’s mom. She’s so funny but also she cares so much and I love it.

FINALLY there was no Cal in this episode, I was sick of seeing him (even tho he was funny in the last episode)

Anyway, overall rating 10/10 best episode of the season I definitely feel likes it’s gonna be picking up now and explaining where certain people left off cause I still got questions

I definitely think rexi are getting somewhere next season. The flag at lexis room during the play wasn’t a coincidence and Maude said her scenes with zendaya were her faves to film. I know a lot of people don’t want them together because of rues state and fez but they are the best option for both of them and they know each other and Lexi probably has had a crush on her since forever. I’m here for the friends to lovers trope in season 3

it’s hard to tell in the shot but i’m almost 99.9% sure it was a pride flag (some ppl said it could be an umbrella lol??) i’d be happy with romantic rexi because they’re my og ship, but it wasn’t really addressed in s2 (like those glances lexi gave in s1), so their development wouldn’t be great.

i have a feeling fexi will weirdly be an introduction into talking about lexi’s sexuality. she’s never had a romantic line like other characters in the show so it would be interesting to see some montage of lexi reflecting on the people she’s had feelings for over the years, which could include girls (or rue).

speaking to my interpretations here, not my wants, but i think rexi is being set up as platonic. i think theres a heavy emphasis on them as being friends, and sam said a friendship like that is fundamental in life. that doesn’t mean lexi doesn’t have feelings for rue, i just think they may not go romantic and they may have a one-sided love trope going on.

Euphoria: 2x01 review

I was actually excited to see the season two premiere of this decent show. It did not disappoint!

It’s New Years Eve for the kids of East Highland H.S. and we pick up where we left off with these characters. Nate and Maddy are still broken up, Jules and Rue are still in limbo regarding their relationship, Rue is still struggling with addiction, Kat and Ethan are “happily in love”, Fez is out for revenge against Nate due to what Nate did in season one, Cassie is a mess emotionally from her abortion and her recent break up with McKay, and Lexi is continuing to come out of her shell and into her own(her and Fez’s scenes were adorable). I enjoyed how this episode was filmed. It reminded me of the chaos of the carnival in episode four of season one. All of the characters are in the same place at the same time and the tenseness of their respective plots made watching the episode enthralling.

I was kind of shook at Nate and Cassie’s hook up. Those are two characters that I would’ve never thought to put together. I thought that there would be a continuation of Nate and Jules’s storyline, especially due to what was said in Jules’s special episode(“I’m still in love with Tyler and I don’t know when that’ll change”). I can see why Cassie and Nate hooked up though. Cassie’s entire character arc is that she strives for male attention due to the trauma that her dad put her through by abandoning his family. She wants to feel wanted by men probably because her dad abandoned his family due to his addiction. So, Cassie wants that attention that she’s never gotten from her dad and she’ll do anything to keep it/sustain it when she does find it. What really sucks about this storyline is that not only is Nate the ex boyfriend of Cassie’s best friend, but she’s also choosing to hook up her her best friend’s abuser. That’s a special type of fucked up. I think that their storyline will be hot and fast but nothing of substance. It also seems like Nate is using Cassie to fill a void, like she seems like a nice distraction for him. I’m interested in seeing how Maddy reacts to this plot and I don’t know how Cassie and Maddy’s friendship can survive something like this.

Jules and Rue bore me…NEXT. Just kidding, lol. They do bore me, mainly because it’s repetitive as hell, they both have codependency issues and I don’t think that they have a lot of romantic chemistry. I still stand by my thoughts about Jules using Rue to fill an emotional void left by “Tyler”. There’s evidence to support this, too. As soon as Jules left the lake where Nate revealed that he was Tyler, what did she do? She went to Rue’s house to spend the night and she initiated a kiss. If Nate wasn’t a complete asshole to her when they first met, I doubt that Jules would’ve went to Rue/been upset about his true identity. I truly think that if things actually worked out with “Tyler”, Jules would’ve been with him in a heart beat. As Rue said in season one, Jules fell really really, like really really hard for “Tyler”. Rue was a non factor until things didn’t work out for Jules and Tyler and Rue doesn’t deserve to be someone’s second option.

It was really nice to see Lexi come into her own this episode and I loved her conversation with Fez. I have always thought that Fez has a softer side but his profession doesn’t allow him to express that side of himself that much. It was nice to see Lexi bring that side of him out. I wonder where that storyline will go. Like, will they be just friends or will they become a couple? It could go wither way but I am here for whatever they become.

Kat and Ethan were adorable! I hope that they last but I do think that maybe Kat will become a bit bored of Ethan. She might find him to be “too perfect” or “too nice” and she might self sabotage her relationship because of it. I also think that because she gets a lot of male attention through being a cam girl, she struggles to see a guy actually liking her for more than her body.

Maddy was a non factor for me this episode. It was nice to see her not give Nate an inch of attention and focus on herself.

When I tell you that I was cheering for Fez at the end of this episode, I am not exaggerating! He beat Nate’s ass so well!! Nate truly deserved every punch. I truly don’t see Nate retaliating because it wouldn’t make sense. Nate has operated as if he’s “untouchable”. He has never had to face any consequences of his actions until this episode and due to the ass whooping he got, I don’t think that that he’ll go through the trouble of exacting revenge on Fez. Plus, Jacob Elordi said in a recent interview that Nate will lose a lot of his dominance this season, so I’m excited to see that.

Overall, this was a good episode. I wonder how the rest of the season will play out but it’ll probably be quite the ride.
