I'm sorry, but I'm still not over how hot Lucien was in those scenes where Feyre was using him to make Tamlin jealous. The situation is wrong, selfish, and sick on her part, but the sides of him it brought out?

The sides it finally allowed us to see?

Him lifting her off that horse with those big, strong hands?

Taking her hand and kneeling?

Catching fish with his bare hands and doing all the unpleasant work for Feyre (because my man's a capable, competent, considerate provider through and through)?

That "nightmare" scene where he's holding her and her nightgown's kind of riding up while he rubs her back and holds the back of her head? This is him with a platonic friend. 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵

SJM really went off with him.

I have nothing but respect for SJM and her decision to make him scorchingly sexy from the start for no real reason. This woman really sat down, had no intention of making him her [current] main character's love interest, and said, "I'm going to have him making all of Prythian crave sin, make him one of if not the smartest character, and have him respectfully manhandle her on occasion to save her and lock this in. Let readers' imaginations run wild."

Then, she just decides to casually throw us another line about the fire in his blood.

"I couldn't imagine Elain being subject to all that...fire."

Bitch, I can. And good for her.

The current explanation is that Nesta called Elain a wretch because, at that moment, Nesta found herself stuck having to deal with Lucien.

Let's set aside the fact that Nesta was the one initiating conversations with Lucien, didn't follow up on this development with Elain or Azriel, questioned Azriel's behavior after Solstice, ceased making observations about Elain and Azriel, declared Azriel as Gwyn's new ribbon, and noticed Azriel's specific attention to a particular Valkyrie-in-training.

Nesta is a Gwynriel. Feyre is an Elucien.

Neither of those sisters has taken any action despite supposedly "shipping Elain and Azriel."

If anything, this proves that Nesta is on Team Elucien. And also? With how Feyre was trying to push Elain on even talking about Lucien in Frost and Starlight indicates that SHE TOO is for Elucien.

I fucking know, in both these scenes, it shows Elains discomfort with Lucien. Have you seen my account? I take that, and the fact that LUCIEN ISN'T COMFORTABLE EITHER RIGHT NOW, and grow on that.

Also. Elain canonically says she doesn't want a MALE in acofas. Full stop. She wants a HUMAN MAN. She is still mourning Greyson. So, where is this "proof" that she "loved Azriel" here?

The scene where Lucien catches the fish with his bare hands is obv very hot, but the part of that scene that stuck out to me was when he tells Feyre “I’ll clean them while you start the fire”.

It's like he knew that was a task Feyre hated when she was human and he would spare her from having to do it again. Even when they were on the run.

Lucien is sometimes looked down upon because he is not as strong of a warrior/fighter as the bat boys. But warrior is NOT his archetype (though he is trained). Lucien is a hunter. A provider. He takes care of people. And he will provide for Elain happily and never make her feel like she is a burden for it. He will probably be the first person in Elain's life to treat her like an equal. And I just feel like they're gonna be a great team. 🦊🌷

Often overlooked by everyone. Nobody seems to realize that seers are one of the most powerful beings. They excel in observation, manipulating futures if they please… I wonder if she can commune with gods as they are historically known to.

Elain has a power with endless possibilities. She can challenge fate.

Her story has the possibility of having the most creative plot twists, betrayals, and cliff hangers. I cannot wait for her story. I hope SJM doesn’t hold back.
