Holi in Dwarka ⋮ ⋆.˚ A Love Story : ﹒ ◠ ✩ in Colors & Grace
Tumblr media
In Dwarka, Holi begins a week early—not just with colors, but with love, mischief, and a divine dance between two souls リ﹒Ꮺ — ♡﹒; On the first day, Mata Rukmini colors Krishnaa playful stroke of love, a gentle defiance. The air hums with laughter, the sky blushes with powdered hues, & Krishna stands there, drenched in her affection. And then… the chase begins
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
༉‧₊˚ ✩ ♡︎ For the next seven days, Krishna tries to color Rukmini. He hides behind palace pillars, leaps into courtyards, & plots with the Yadavas. The colors swirl around her, but she remains untouched—graceful, effortless, untouchable. ୧ ˖⁺ . ⩩ The colors obey her. The winds whisper her secret. The whole city watches as Krishna, the master of leela, is outplayed in His own game. But then, on the last day, something shifts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
₊˚⊹ ᰔ : Rukmini, untouched for a whole week, steps forward. Her eyes meet His. A knowing smile lingers. And in that moment, she chooses to be His color. And just like that, Dwarka erupts in celebration—not just of Holi, but of love that isn't forced, but freely given ˒˓ 𖤐 ࣪
Tumblr media
Because true love is not about chasing. It’s about waiting for the moment when hearts surrender, willingly, joyfully, completely. And in that moment, Rukmini became Krishna’s Holi.

Holidays: Holi (Festival of Colors and Spring)
No religion makes more use of color than Hinduism, with its blue-skinned gods and peony-lipped goddesses, and even the spring festival of Holi is focused on color: Boys squirt arcs of dyed water on passersby or dump powder, all violently hued, on their marks.

The vibrant celebration of Holi, the Hindu festival of colors, marks the end of winter and the joyful arrival of spring. Colorful powders and water are thrown by the celebrants in the streets. Head over to your local library to learn more or to find this picture book.

Holi – The Festival of Colors, Joy & Togetherness! 🎉🌈🎨🌸
Holi is not just a festival, but it’s a celebration of love, unity, and new beginnings.
It reminds us to embrace life with vibrancy, positivity, and happiness.
The colors symbolize: 💛 Yellow – Energy & Knowledge ❤️ Red – Love & Passion 💚 Green – Growth & New Beginnings 💙 Blue – Peace & Calm
As we come together to celebrate, let’s wash away negativity, strengthen relationships, and spread kindness.
Just like colors blend beautifully, so do people when they set aside differences and embrace joy.
Wishing you all a Happy & Colorful Holi! 🌸🎨✨
How are you celebrating this year? Let’s hear it in the comments! ⬇️
