Ingo, bless his heart, really likes documentaries. Emmet always falls asleep during the first watching, because that was when Ingo was learning. It would, however, allow for really nice cuddles, so Emmet enthusiastically agreed to it every time, even when Ingo was like "But you aren't learning anything." The trick, for Emmet, was when Ingo found ones he *really* liked, Ingo wanted to watch them more than once; during subsequent viewings, Ingo would provide a running commentary, keeping Emmet's attention.

Emmet, for his part, loves rhythm games. He plays all sorts, and they've gotten him so many different style controllers. They've already had to soundproof their apartment, so he can be as loud as he wants. I refuse to believe they don't have arcades with dance pads hooked up to large screen tvs on some of the buildings in the busier parts of the city. Emmet can sometimes be found at them, dancing with anyone who wants to challenge him, though Ingo gets cajoled into dancing with him on many occasions.

Oh man, this is exceptionally tough! I have a few playlists for when I write for them, but unlike the super nice people who've sent me music recommendations, basically none of the music can be directly linked to the twins. It is literally just "Music that makes me write the Twins tm"

[klingklang] what do you think Emmet does to cope during Ingo's disappearance?

I suppose, for my headcanons, it mostly depends on how long Ingo is lost to Hisui. Emmet spirals worse and worse the longer he is separated and the more he starts to think Ingo is gone forever.

If it's a span of months, Emmet is exhausted and burning his candle at both ends, but he's generally what you could call "okay." He's like someone who's still trying to convince themselves they're okay and not experiencing burn out. He needs some rest, and some assurance that Ingo is safe with him again, and maybe to eat better. But it's a level he can bounce back from, with only a little bit of trouble. He still cries when he's lonely, but the companionship of their pokémon helps keep him focused on maintaining the status quo for *when* Ingo gets back. He tells people who are not close to them that Ingo is "on vacation," or "on a business trip." He runs as many battles as he can, and sometimes accepts help from Elesa as a "guest star." He follows every lead with a fervor unmatched.

Once it hits over a year, Emmet starts to act noticeably off, even to people who don't know him. He spaces out, but perhaps due to practiced behaviors, he is still ruthlessly efficient in running the Subway. He can't run everything, so he alternates which battle trains are running each day. However, when he runs Ingo's trains, he arrives to work dressed as Ingo and only answers to people who refer to him as his twin. He doesn't talk about those days, so no one really knows what's going on in his head (spoilers, it's because he thinks people NEED Ingo the way he needs Ingo, so he wants to make sure the Subway isn't without their beloved Subway Master.) He follows leads, but his intensity varies depending on how likely it is - he is so exhausted from running everything that he has trouble following the high risk, low reward ones.

This is also when he starts to see a phantom of his brother, but his interactions with it vary from appearance to appearance. Sometimes, he is terrified of it: it's a sign he's losing his mind, and does everything in his power to ignore it. Sometimes, he thinks it's a real creature, a monster who has slipped in to take something from him. Other times, he humors the thing clearly created by his own mind for companionship - he'll speak to it, telling it he *knows* it's not there, and maybe it should leave? Offers it a snack, knowing full well it can't take it. He never tells anyone about this phantom.

If the separation is a few years, Emmet slips into a funk, convinced internally that Ingo has died, but refusing to admit it to anyone. He is in mourning, mixing the colors of Ingo's uniform into his own. He wants to help keep the Battle Subway running, but it is mostly controlled by Cloud and Ramses, though the two insist to every challenger that it is only temporary. Although his mouth is naturally in a smile, it has no brightness anymore, and looks like he's trying verrrry hard to hold it. He's starting to settle into the idea that he'll forever be half of a person, but he still looks for any lead he can find, even if he's started to not follow them as in-depth as he used to.

The main side of the Submas fandom has made me not want to make stuff for them, like the way they act and treat us makes me just wanna make stuff for the blankship side of the fandom even if it isn’t Shippy stuff all because I just don’t think they deserve it after what they done and how they’ve acted

like why would I want to when the nice quiet blankshipper kids have been good to me, they deserve the good stuff way more

Why hello, Anon! ヾ(•ω•`)o Welcome, welcome! I hope you have a good time making whatever content you wish to make! If you'd like to make shippy content for them, wonderful! If you'd like to make non-shippy artwork, just as amazing! There is so much cool creativity out there and it's always disheartening that I have to check for "Blankshippers DNI" blockades. I have passed on sharing and commenting on some wonderful art and ideas because they clearly do not want me to be there.

It's a shame that the negative, aggressive minority have made such a hostile environment for not just Blankshippers, but also for people who are neutral to the pairing or new to the characters. I am certain there are some nice people out there in the Submas tags that don't frequent this side of the fandom! I've heard directly from a few of them, and seen posts otherwise floating around.

I would like us all to just get along, regardless of our shipping preferences! And you are correct! It feels much nicer to make content for people who are pleasant to you, encourage you, and want to share their ideas with you. I'm glad the Blankshipping community is fitting that for you!

That being said, as alphagodith said on one of my other posts, I don't think I've met an unpleasant Blankshipper. Any of the artists/writers I've reblogged are definitely safe.

I believe @ferrouscrown was the first blog I saw it on, but I know a lot of people have started to use it! It's a very good alternative to calling them the "Main tag" cause that lumps in the rude and aggressive Antis-who-masquerade-as-fans in with the people who are perfectly pleasant and/or scrolling past things they don't like.

I also think it is quite funny! It takes away a lot of their bite.
