Lumina Flower Fest Asks

Some extra tidbits if it matters:

-> Koi is a yapper. She’s chatty. She’s a bit weird eccentric!

-> Clematis is more quiet and a bit blunt (not in a mean way). He’s overall friendly, just not a chatterbox compared to Koi.

-> Wisteria is… extremely shy! She has not a lot of social experience and gets nervous and flustered easily.

The absol remains hiding behind Clematis as he observes the fabric closely, appreciating the pattern. Wisteria: N-no... I'm... not made of... m-moss... The absol nervously shuffles her feet, Clematis notices this and playfully plops the wisteria scarf on her forehead. Clematis: You might as well be made of moss or algae.. considering how much time you spend in that pond back home... and how much stuff gets stuck in that hair. Wisteria lets out a frustrated whining noise The mienshao looks back over at the umbreon with a thankful smile Clematis: Thank you for the scarves.. you certainly came prepared for this event it looks like. Sorry we don't have anything to give you in return... not yet anyways. Clematis: My name's Clematis and this is Wisteria. She's a bit shy. Wisteria gently dips her head, almost trying to hide her face in her hair Wisteria: T... t-thank you for the scarves.. they are... r-really nice...

Clematis: Maybe Wisteria can make you a flower crown in return, if you like. She's really good at it, me not so much. Or maybe get you a snack or somethin' from a booth? Feels bad gettin nice gifts and having nothing to give back in return.

The mienshao laughs to herself loudly, staring back at you with a grin Koi: I am... partially joking of course! Koi flips one of her whiskers dramatically Koi: I merely know that someone who lives in my area... seems to be constantly surrounded by these flower petals. Koi holds up a wisteria petal in her paw, turning it back and forth as if observing it for a moment. She releases it and watches as the breeze carries it away once more Koi: and I must introduce myself! It has been FAR too long since I've properly interacted with anyone who lives in my area! Koi: A happy coincidence that the petal fluttered down to a social event? Or is it perhaps fate itself? Koi: I'm going to take full advantage either way! <3

Clematis bows his head in respect to Bella, Wisteria nervously follows while still cowering behind him slightly. Despite how much Wisteria is trying to hide behind him, she is still peeking around him to observe Bella further. Clematis: As for how we met... We've been friends for about.. what? 8 years now? Wisteria: ....mmmhm... Clematis: We met by chance, I stopped by a pond where she lives to take a drink of water... She was trying to hide in the bushes and watch me in secret... but she wasn't very good at it Wisteria: I W-WAS GOOD... I'M A VERY GOOD HIDER... Clematis: Bright purple does not hide well against dark green... So I'm not quite sure how you thought you were so sneaky Wisteria gets a pouting expression as Clematis chuckles at her. The mienshao turns back and looks up at Bella with a smile Clematis: We just happened to be passing through here for the day, saw the festivities and decided to join in... See what was up with it. Clematis: What brought you here? Seems like you got dressed up nice for the occasion

The dark purple mienshao sighs a bit with a smile ???Mienshao: Okay.. As long as you don't think you'll get overwhelmed. The absol quickly tippy taps her feet in place, causing various flower petals from her hair to float around ???Absol: I wont!... I promise!! The absol suddenly sheepishly dips down her head, looking at the mienshao with a pitiful look ??Absol:.... B-but....if I do.... W-will you be mad? The mienshao gives a smile and gently nuzzles the absol's side slightly as he walks past her towards the festival ???Mienshao: You know I never would be ??Absol: H-hey! Wait for me! The absol quickly scurries after her companion into the festival.

Festival of Flowers event

Since May is nearly upon us, I wanted to go ahead and start getting the details up for the event I had mentioned around the beginning of this month!

When it will take place: It will start on May 6 and go on until June 6!

All Pokemon related ask blogs are welcome to join, even gijinkas and trainers! Though be aware that the cast of ask-stardust-farm has never seen a human/they don't exist in this blog so they may be a little curious

There will be little games and prizes for everyone to join in on such as arts and crafts like flower crowns and other crafts, a ring toss game, and a few other little games which will be announced later/closer to the start date

There would also be food stands and other market stuff, which your ocs will be allowed to set up!

If you would like a formal invite to the event (keep in mind the invite is not required to participate!) then feel free to interact (reply or reblog) with this post, and I'll send Noir into your inbox with an invite!

And be sure to tag the event with #luminaflowerfest !

Koi continues trotting along her path forward, weaving through the tall grass in almost a serpentine fashion. Koi: Fish taste, like most meats... Can greatly depend on how it's prepared! Is it cooked? How is it cooked? Is it being served raw like sushi? Or are you eating it out of a river with no seasoning? Speaking of seasons, sometimes the time of year matters! In some pokemon species, even the gender of the fish can change the taste!

Koi hops up a bit onto a rock, looking proud of all her various fish flavor knowledge. This woman has eaten a lot of fish and that's.. cool? Maybe to her anyways. Koi looks back at the other pokemon, realizing that she had been boasting about fish a little too much. A little too prideful. She needed to chill out a bit, she was trying to get out and be social again after all.. Koi flashes a smile Koi: BUT... In this case. I'll humor it, specifically with my recent Finneon catch... Koi: It was a male finneon, you can tell their gender apart by their bottom lobe on their tail fin! Koi scrunches her nose a bit with a squamp noise Koi: But since it was male... it lacked some juiciness. They tend to be more stringy and bland... But not entirely devoid of flavor. Koi: I would describe a typical male Finneon's flavor... during this time of year.... as more... bitter. They start off bitter and stringy... but become a bit more chunky with a slight tang as the winter approaches! Nothing too fancy, compared to what a prime female finneon's taste is... but food is food! Koi: I bet if I had a sauce it would've tasted better.... but sometimes! You just have to eat a fish raw like the way mother nature intended!..... even if it means sacrificing flavor...

The mienshao picks up the flower petal from the pond, observing it in the palm of her paw with a smug expression Koi: Well... Looks like the Universe has decided FOR me. Several magikarp in the pond begin to bubble and swim around, giving Koi angry looks of disapproval Koi: Now now! If the universe didn't want me to leave my little pond and explore... I guess it shouldn't have dropped such a sweet little petal in my presence! Don't you think? The magikarp splash around in annoyance, some attempting to splash water onto Koi

The mienshao hisses at the fish in the pond, turning her back towards them all Koi: Oh you guys are merely no fun! Worry warts! What is the worse that can happen! The fish become more manic in the pond, splashing violently in disapproval Koi: THAT HAPPENED ONCE. ONCE.... BUT I'll be back before sunset! I pinky promise!... If I had a pinky! The mienshao quickly scampers off away from her pond and the angry fish inside. She is heading in the direction from which the purple petal came...
