I'll admit, I do feel a little guilty as an author when I kill off a character. Finding out that fans write AU fics where that character survives assuages my guilt just a little bit.

not a controversial opinion i know but made up curse words are a way to get around corporate censors. they sound fake and terrible and only exist because of shareholders and i will never use or respect them. when i write the characters will say fuck

I don’t do a lot of pearl clutching about generation gaps, but I *do* worry that younger generations of queer folks will never have the formative experience of hearing Melissa Ferrick’s “Drive” come on shuffle and then having to spend the rest of the day lowkey emotionally overwrought and helplessly turned on. irt your tags about wanting to switch names sometimes. i think you should go for it. my best friend has like 5 different names that our friend group switches between and he loves all of them. some of his names are even context dependent for extra flavor. i think if you want more names you're allowed
