I just wanted to say how incredibly proud I am of you for advocating & standing up for the rights of blacks, especially since you are white. They are many white people I know who have no opinion on the whole entire mike brown case, trayvon martin case, and the incident with tamir rice. We need more people like you, who look like you, in order to really change the game out here. You are a great person with so much potential, and really good intentions. i really hope the best for you. God bless xx
I appreciate your kind words deeply but I don't believe I need any special recognition for having the common sense to understand and advocate that we are all human and deserve equal rights. My heart goes out to all the people affected by racism, police brutality, unfair media projection etc. Thank you so much though, I wish the best for whomever this is and stay blessed. xoxo

Outside of my office tonight. The people continue to speak out in light of the #FergusonVerdict. It might be time to actually listen for once. There has to be a better way to live among each other. Yesterday's ruling proves that this is not it. (hier: Flatiron District, New York City)

What angers me the most is that I'm going to bed knowing that I never have to worry about being the next Mike brown, and there are so many people who can't say the same

I do not agree with the LOOTING and BURNING BUILDINGS
That's not smart FOR THE PEOPLE. That's not smart FOR THE COMMUNITY. How do you as a community expect to empower yourselves if you strip yourselves of what little you have left? You take jobs from the people in the community by burning down the places people work. You take away from the ability for the people in the community to add to the recovery because they now ALSO have to recover. they have to move or find a new job. They have to rebuild themselves. And after a while if everyone is trying to rebuild themselves who the hell is rebuilding Ferguson?
This is not saying they shouldn't protest. This isn't even saying they shouldn't riot. This is saying the community should have done so with more foresight of the after affects.
