I wanted a journal to keep fencing notes in and, obviously, needed it to be Fence-themed... but it's not like I want people tracing my real-life entity to my online shenanigans, so I wanted something that was a subtle nod to Fence without any explicit branding--so I stripped all trackable details from school logos, lifted the color scheme, mimicked the title/cover and 'chapter' dividers, and went to town with designing & formatting

I plan on putting the journal (or possibly several versions of it) on Amazon for on-demand printing because I figure that's an easy way for me to get to them haha

But for people interested, I'd love to hear input on what you're interested in/what versions I should be putting up. I'm thinking I want a version with the 'full interior' that includes all the extra/specific pages I designed, and a version with a 'bare interior' that's just blank note paper.

Any cons you want to go too?

After a really bad Fanime con experience several years ago, I don't think cons are my thing. No parking, stood in line for over 5 hours, paid full price when the con had only two hours left, there wasn't much there- and the artist alley building was over three blocks away. (I'm also not a fan of anime like I used to be, most mainstream stuff doesn't interest me at all)

Other events like game award shows already typically stream online.

The only cons I've ever been interested in were cons I didn't know even existed until they already passed; like Invader Con and the Arcane premiere/any featurette in a con. Those tend to be more exclusive.

I'm also an introvert who'd probably be overstimulated / overwhelmed with the sheer amount of people. I'm not a celebrity oriented person so meet and greets would be too awkward for me, though a panel might be fun.

i have and I had to talk myself down from giving into this specific consumerism solely bc i Like Thing esp since my interests rarely last.... What an iconic doll though, even though the Ken Doll face has always been too chiseled pretty for me... I wish any other Ryan Gosling's Ken merch of this caliber existed or was allowed to exist ykwim... Bc i kinda do want him but its in an embarrassed and also guilty way... Augh.
