RZECZOWNIK - SUBSTANTIVUM
Tumblr media
Podobnie, jak czasownik, rzeczownik ma kilka form, których znajomość jest niezbędna, aby go właściwie stosować. W słownikach podaje się zazwyczaj mianownik oraz dopełniacz liczby pojedynczej (często tylko jego końcówkę):
comoedia, -ae f komedia
Właśnie po tej końcówce można stwierdzić, do której deklinacji należy rzeczownik, czyli jak należy go odmieniać. Rozróżnia się pięć deklinacji:
I. — należą do niej rzeczowniki rodz. żeńskiego i męskiego zakończone w mianowniku l. poj. na -a, a w dopełniaczu na -ae
rosa, -ae f róża
nauta, -ae m żeglarz
II. — należą do niej rzeczowniki rodz. męskiego zakończone w mianowniku l. poj. na -us i -er i rodz. nijakiego zakończone na -um; dopełniacz kończy się na -i
dominus, -i m pan
puer, -i m chłopiec
verbum, -i n słowo
III. — należą do niej rzeczowniki wszystkich rodzajów, o różnych zakończeniach mianownika l.poj., zakończone w dopełniaczu l. poj. na -is
leo, -onis m lew
lex, legis f prawo
nomen, -inis - imię
IV. — należą do niej rzeczowniki rodz. męskiego i żeńskiego zakończone w mianowniku l. poj. na -us i rodz. nijakiego zakończone na -u; dopełniacz kończy się na -us
gradus, -us m krok
manus, -us f ręka
cornu, -us n róg
V. — należą do niej rzeczowniki rodz. żeńskiego zakończone w mianowniku l. poj. na -es, a w dopełniaczu na -ei
res, rei f rzecz
facies, -ei f twarz

Rodzaj (Genus)
frater m - brat
pater m - ojciec
femina f - kobieta
soror f - siostra
Rzeczowniki oznaczające osoby można podzielić na dwie grupy:
nomina communia - posiadające jedną formę dla obu rodzajów, np. acola - sąsiad/sąsiadka, cives - obywatel/obywatelka
nomina mobilia - posiadające odmienną formę dla rodzaju męskiego i żeńskiego, np. filius - syn, filia - córka
Z reguły nazwy wiatrów i rzek są rodzaju męskiego (Sequana m - Sekwana), zaś nazwy drzew - rodzaju żeńskiego (laurus f - drzewo laurowe).
gallus - kogut, gallina - kura
asinus - osioł, asina - oślica
Tumblr media
Przypadek (Casus)
W łacinie wyróżniało się siedem przypadków (casus):
Nominativus (Nom.) — quis? quid?
Singularia tantum:
aurum, -i n - złoto
fides, -ei f - wiara
iustitia, -ae f - sprawiedliwość
plumbum, -i n - ołów
sapientia, -ae f - mądrość
vestis, -is f - ubranie
vulgus, -i n - lud
Pluralia tantum:
arma, -orum n - armia
castra, -orum, n - obóz
divitiae, -arum f - bogactwo
fides, -ium f - struny
liberi, -orum m - dzieci
majores, -um m - przodkowie
moenia, -ium n - mury miejskie
nuptiae, -arum f - ślub

“Socialism ― or the tyranny of the meanest and the most brainless, ―that is to say, the superficial, the envious, and the mummers, brought to its zenith, ―is, as a matter of fact, the logical conclusion of “modern ideas” and their latent anarchy: but in the genial atmosphere of democratic well-being the capacity for forming resolutions or even for coming to an end at all, is paralysed.  Men follow―but no longer their reason.  That is why socialism is on the whole a hopelessly bitter affair: and there is nothing more amusing than to observe the discord between the poisonous and desperate faces of present-day socialists―and what wretched and nonsensical feelings does not their style reveal to us! ―and the childish lamblike happiness of their hopes and desires.  Nevertheless, in many places in Europe, there may be violent hand-to-hand struggles and irruptions on their account: the coming century is likely to be convulsed in more than one spot, and the Paris Commune, which finds defenders and advocates even in Germany, will seem to have but a slight indigestion compared with what is to come.   Be this as it may, there will always be too many people of property for socialism ever to signify anything more than an attack of illness: and these people of property are like one man with one faith, “one must possess something in order to be some one.”  This, however, is the oldest and most wholesome of all instincts; I should add: “one must desire more than one has in order to become more.”   For this is the teaching which life itself preaches to all living things: the morality of Development.  To have and to wish to have more, in a word, Growth―that is life itself.  In the teaching of socialism “a will to the denial of life” is but poorly concealed: botched men and races they must be who have devised a teaching of this sort.  In fact, I even wish a few experiments might be made to show that in socialistic society life denies itself, and itself cuts away its own roots.  The earth is big enough and man is still unexhausted enough for a practical lesson of this sort and demonstratio ad absurdum― even if it were accomplished only by a vast expenditure of lives―to seem worth while to me.   Still, Socialism, like a restless mole beneath the foundations of a society wallowing in stupidity, will be able to achieve something useful and salutary: it delays “Peace on Earth” and the whole process of character-softening of the democratic herding animal; it forces the European to have an extra supply of intellect, ―it also saves Europe awhile from the marasmus femininus which is threatening it.”
“The tremendous “expenditure of human lives” was paid, but where is the benefit Nietzsche hoped for? Have the horrors of Lenin, Stalin, Mao, etc, served as “practical instruction” sufficient to ward humanity off from socialism?
Given its trendiness today, it would seem not.
Let’s hope for no more such “great experiments.” Rather, to sustainably draw young people away from socialism, let’s encourage them to take part in the spontaneous-order symphony of small experiments that is the market economy.”

Note
I’ve been identifying as a feminine transboy for the last two months, but I know that this feminine aura of mine is apart of my gender. I am a boy, maybe a demiboy, but I’m extremely feminine and I know it is apart of my gender. It’s hard to explain. There is not exactly anything “female” about me... Any terms? Thanks!
Then you aren’t female, even feeling feminine. You can be juxera, lunarian (fem-aligned), nonpuella (or faesari), femboy, transexpressive, fingender… This blog can help you with more terms that hasn’t comgender femininity if you would like: @femininus-is-beauty

feminine (adj.)
mid-14c., "of the female sex," from Old French femenin (12c.) "feminine, female; with feminine qualities, effeminate," from Latin femininus "feminine" (in the grammatical sense at first), from femina "woman, female," literally "she who suckles" (from PIE root *dhe(i)- "to suck"). The usual modern sense of "woman-like, proper to or characteristic of women" is recorded from mid-15c. Related: Femininely.
The interplay of meanings now represented roughly in female "characteristic of the sex that bears children," feminine "having qualities considered appropriate to a woman," and effeminate "having female qualities in a bad sense, unmanly," and the attempt to keep them clear of each other, has led to many coinages. Among nouns, in addition to feminity "womanishness," femininity, femaleness, feminineness (1810, "female qualities"), there is feminitude (1878); feminility "womanliness" (1824); feminie "womankind" (late 14c.); femality (17c., "effeminacy;" 1754 "female nature"); feminacy "female nature" (1829); feminicity "quality or condition of being a woman" (1843). Also feminality (1640s, "quality or state of being female"), from rare adjective feminal "female, belonging to a woman" (late 14c.), from Old French feminal. And femineity "quality or state of being feminine," also "effeminate; womanly," from Latin femineus "of a woman, pertaining to a woman." feminile "feminine" (1640s) seems not to have survived.
soft, tender, dainty, womanly
rough, masculine
