What is the purpose of the Aya Arts Project?

It is going to bring art and community together at the Sailboat Bend II building. This project is by Niki Lopez, who named it The Aya Arts Project. The Aya Arts Project symbolizes endurance and resourcefulness.

The inspiring project curates 25 works of art by local artists to be permanently displayed and enjoyed at Sailboat Bend II, a senior affordable housing community created in partnership with the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Lauderdale and A|P Communities.

This project includes locally commissioned artists representing the plants, animals, and native concepts of the community. Their work will honor our diversity and pay homage to Broward county legends.
