I picked the game up in beta, loved it, still do but I have not played for over a year really. I have every classed maxed and geared out (all char btw) will jump back in again but right now FF14 is the MMO who is tasked with taking up my time.

Honestly, I could see the female flame legion creating a totally new branch of charr society, with the legions unified. Because now they DO have the option to choose, and some WILL choose to not fight. That could be a beacon for charr of Blood, Ash, and Iron--male and female--who don't want to be soldiers, but who still want to be part of the Legions.

Female flame shamans may also lead the charr spiritual development. Male shamans are very much indoctrinated into war, but female shamans aren't. The female shamans in Drizzlewood discuss how war and lack of restraint have destroyed their people. They enchant ammunition and defend the camps, but they don't want fight.

All together, it seems like the female flame are perfectly positioned to lead a spiritual movement based on building up and protecting--that could give charr society what it sorely lacks.

charr are great and the Flame Legion are really cool actually. free the females from the obligations of war! also free them from forced labor! Let them CHOOSE! If we learned anything from how Flame Legion females behaved in Grothmar it's that not all of them WANT to fight. and you can yell brainwashing and indoctrination but why are you forcing people to fight in war because you think it's 'liberating' to them like what?? anyway in this essay I will

Thought I might aswell put out the Charr I have out there! Most of them only really have relatively simple backstories so I'll just provide small details.

Pythus Swifttail: Blood Legion Warrior. Thick in every sense of the word. Not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to anything else but winning a fight

Aereth Bladecurrent: Blood Legion Elementalist. Medic by trade, usually runs the blood legion section of the infirmary at the Black Citadel. Reclusive due to attitudes towards his magic, but open towards those that show acceptance.

Thax Blurrblade: Unaffiliated Mesmer. Left the legions after he was found to be gifted in illusion magic in the fahrar. Spends most of his time stealing identities with masterful illusions and using suggestion to get where he wants to be

Callum Bladeflurry: Blood Legion Revenant. Amnesiac, fell back into the world with no recollection of anything but his name. Has a high affinity for sensing ripples in the mists

Verus Venarum: Unaffiliated Holosmith. Left the legions after his warband died in a freak accident. Now works in pact workshops. Does not want to talk about his time as a legion soldier. (The ash legion pendant he still keeps is unrelated to anything)

Atticus Wildblade: Blood Legion Ranger. Expert marksman with a bow and just as deadly with a greatsword. Also a skilled natural biologist, will talk your ear off about a local ecosystem. The mask stays on always

Crito Gleamblade: Blood Legion Firebrand. Rather standard Paladin vibes with him. Will use himself as a wall of muscle and magic to defend that which he is ordered to defend

sure do!

the blanket octopus is a wonderous creature. reaching about two meters in length, the females glide majestically through the tropical south seas, trailing two huge vibrant coattail cloaks of fused tentacle webbing behind them!

they use their brightly-colored cloak as an intimidation factor, tricking predator and prey alike into thinking that they're MUCH bigger than they actually are! look at this, would you mess with this?? I would not mess with this.

the males, on the other tentacle arm, are about an inch long.

During the summer months, poor Mav usually doesn't wear much thanks to Sylvari culture being a lot more open and understanding about her thick fur.
