Hello my fellow souls,

Welcome back to Danbi’s Room, your weekly dose of safe space. Grab a cup of something warm and get yourself cosy.

The past one was exam week, concluded with an amazing but very demanding workshop, so I hope you will forgive me if I, once again, share a revisited piece from a while ago. I hope you’ll enjoy it.

What I’m presenting to you today is just the raw product of thoughts I chewed on a lot at the time, but to be completely honest reflecting on these themes is still part of my daily routine. We could even say they constitute a good part of my personal artistic research. It’s a synthesis, a declaration of intent, a manifesto: it’s what I believe in.

Beauty and Art are not a privilege. They can’t be. Nor can be Quality. They must all be accessible to each and every one.

Excluding what is actually the majority of the world population from Beauty, Quality and Art is a form of oppression.

This can be seen in every aspect of life: the venomous constitution of food, the ghettoization of public housing and the inefficiency in provinding proper public education and universal healthcare.

The fact you have access to art forms only if you’re in a privileged position. Most people can’t afford even dreaming about Art being part of their lives. And this borders dystopia considering that Art, Expression, Communication are our very core. When we do actually have the ease to not be crushed by today’s inhuman way of living the first things we do are resting, loving each other and making Art. That makes me think a lot, and I would be curious to know your perspective.

Now, I don’t have the power to solve all of this. Certainly not alone. But humans are not animals who act alone, right? We always talk about that here.

I want and I will be one of the bricks that is restores our ancestral home.

Various forms of Art serve various purposes: they can open portals, heal, help living in a new dimension. Art gives a body, a manifestation to our spiritual realm. Artists, Creatives, so every human being, are the channel through which a particular aspect of the multitude, that is otherwise unintelligible to our senses, is able to be perceived.

It gives us the opportunity to get a hint, a sensation, the impression transported to our nervous system, the real aesthetics, perception.

Awareness of the interconnected Universe.

Awareness that there’s more to life than what we’re used to think. There’s more joy, and passion and raw feeling and beauty and love. We can be the vessels of this message, the flesh through which the Universe spreads, one again but in a new wonderful way.

Speaking of space, today’s song recommendation is Moonlight, by CORBYN. Maybe it’s just me, but I believe it manages to show a glimpse of this multitude.

A guy who just wake up from a coma -> what did i miss?

Pomefiore was the last plot i follow before real life made me forget about our silly boys. How bad has the plot become now for our gang? Also who is that Gojo looking guy?

anon, I am so sorry and I mean this in the best way, but I do think episode 5 is the absolute funniest place to have stopped following Twst because shit starts escalating SO fast after that. episode 6 literally starts with a secret government shadow agency breaking down our doors and kidnapping students. zero to a million instantly.

and like...that's not even the zaniest thing so far? Ortho's hacked into the collective human unconscious. there's time travel (sort of). "Crowley might be Malleus' long-lost father" is a serious theory. if you'd told me any of this back pre-episode 6, I would have asked for the link to this unbelievable but highly intriguing fanfic.

also, episode 7 gave us (and then immediately took away 😔) the best character in the whole story:
