I've known loneliness like I've known a water lily's pedals; it glistens in the sunlight, but it cuts through it all the same. It bites on my throat as I struggle to take in oxygen-- why should I seduce those I cannot bind towards myself?

You take in dandelion fuzz as if they were flies; what has the night brought you, other than oblivion? From the depths of the ocean, I see coral blooming and shining lights; even under a full moon, why do you always chase a shadow?

Something burns between your claws; from glistening scales which only shimmer when you find solace. A flame is smothered, not out of kindness, but of necessity.

Where is a place where your heart will become an ember, and not an explosion even the deepest of waters can tame?

You called him "monster" and damned him to that fate. A child who is hungry will eat, and you sent him his brethren.

The starry one, dreaming of the night sky, his father from the heavens above looking down on him beneath the earth.

A child interred, wandering alone in an endless maze.

The prince of the Labyrinth, destined to die by the hand of a hero. The last act needed to condemn him to his title "monster".

In midst of the darkness I roamed those forsaken streets,

the pavements and pathways where you had once treaded upon,

in hope I will recall and remember every little bit of you,

that had then been a part of me.

Nights do not engulf me anymore yet the darkness never leaves,

this is the confession I have come to make, I am lost, so utterly and so brokenly;

within your memories is found my only relief,

for your absence is too arduous for the fragile heart.

Within this mess I am buried under, yet there is a hope, of being found,

perhaps, by none other than you,

at a certain time, at a certain moment,

nothing could be any better, for my heart has faced way too many splinters albeit patiently,

and now the patience is running out, for who knows if even the time itself is running out too.
