A FEH book iii based story.

When Alphonse died, he asked you to look after Sharena. And you have kept this promise to the end. Veronica fell to lies, the summoner to betrayal. Hel is dead now, but at the cost of everyone. Of everything. The world is dying around you, withered with no decay. Decay is a form of life, and this world has no life or death left in it. Just the endlessly stretching eternity of nothing. The mask is hot on your face, and you dare not take it off, for fear of what you might breathe unfiltered. 

The sky burns with the low red of fading fire. Your eyes have long grown adjusted to it, as you work in the near dark.

"This time..." Sharena starts, but doesn't finish. 

You squeeze her fingers. You know what she means. This time things will be different. This time you will intervene where the past you had failed to act. Not complete control, but enough. At the very least, this time you will not be the last man standing. 

She hugs you. Slowly you hug her back. Sharena is a gift. You would be in a worse place without her. Her optimism has kept you going in a world gone to hell. 

"This time we can be friends sooner." You tell her. She's crying, but responds that she would like that. 

It's not long before you are finished with the prep work. You hold each other close, masks off, your knife in her ribs, and hers in yours. 

Together you fall. 

You hold her as you both lay dying, while the ritual activates .

It works. Or it works well enough to be called a success.

It's not as if you wanted full control. You are in the background of the mind of your past self, as he concerns himself over issues you have long since forgotten about. But you do have a truce, and sometimes have control to set up for the future. 

You meet her sometimes. She looks at you oddly, but the friendship is still there. Your Sharena and her present self learn to cooperate. She has prep-work of her own to set. But it's nice to have her company again. You have missed her. 

Together you manage to put off the bad future into the far off future. Until they are older and wiser and capable of handling it better. But you know that you are both just buying time. 

She dies first, and something in you breaks a little at the news. You didn't want to be the last one standing.  You broke your promise to Alphonse, to protect her to the end. And a world without Sharena feels like a world with the moon. Hope is still there in the stars, but something fundamental is gone. 

It bleeds like a raw barely healed cut, and you try to avoid thinking about it. Your other self notices. 

"You loved her."

"Yes." 

"It was impossible, you know."

"It didn't matter. Sharena was a breath of fresh air in a stale hellscape. You don't know how much you need her until she's there, and remember life can be beautiful If you let it."

"I'll take your word on that."

"They are the main reason that life is worth staying alive for. Don't waste your moments away from them."

"Your reasons, maybe."

"The end will come no matter what you do. But when the time comes, do you want this to be your regret? " 

Bruno decides to try to help them become  friends. It doesn't go super well, given they both want his attention, but he's taking your advice, and that is satisfying. 

In this world, Bruno is not the last man left standing. Alphonse and Veronica are crying, and Bruno is scared, but you are there with him. You don't fear death again. 

"They will do better than we did." You tell him, as the blessing of silence washes over everything.

"You once said that life can be beautiful, if we let it." 

"I did."

"I can see that now."

"I'm glad."

You look up at Veronica and Alfonse crying over you. You have every faith they can create a better future then the one you left behind.

You die at peace, and amongst friends.

I wrote this a bit ago and thought I would clean it up and share. Bruno and Sharena (last survivors of their world), use a ritual that sends them back in time (or possibly to a diffrent world), where they work with themselves of the other reality to try to prevent their bad future.

(This new timeline leads to Lif and Thrasir)

v unpopular opinion but i enjoyed feh book 7. i hate the character designs besides kvasir and i still have issues with the writing but the torture of gullveig’s unending cycle makes me really emotional. the fact that the villain WANTS us to kill them gets me every time

The Unnamed King in FEH Book 8

the unnamed tyrant king in fire emblem heroes' book 8 is a reference to a king who also was known as a tyrant, was ruthless, and wanted to attain immortality.

his name was... Qin Shi Huang.

well known for trying to attain immortality through good old chinese alchemy, and then likely dying from mercury poisoining. bc mercury is a key ingredient in those immortality elixirs. (and thus likely had acute mercury poisoning induced psychosis. sometimes called the Mad Hatter's disease. which could explain him burying some 426 scholars alive at one point. look, the guy was a tyrant.)

he also ordered for his tomb to be built while he was still alive. but due to reasons only the front part of his tomb was excavated and this is now known as the terracotta army. bc it's full of clay soldiers.

the inner sanctum where he sleeps in remains unexcavated, tho when probes were inserted the mercury reading was off the fucking charts.

also some guy after his death whose name is Sima Qian wrote that there was a order for all of his childless concubines and their extended family to be buried alive in his tomb. and that to guard the knowledge of said tomb from idk raiders, the labourers, worksmen and artists who built it were also buried alive. the exact number currently unverifiable again no open. (some numbers like 70,000 have been thrown around but shrugs)

uhhh lets see. for what we need today are these two:

Green outer arrows = An element feeding and being beneficial to the creation of the following element.

Red inner arrows = An element destroying and being detrimental to the creation of the following element.

so Mercury. what this basically says is that Metal is super effective against Wood. mercury was known as some kinda miracle Water liquid, but now known as a form of liquid Metal bc we understand science better now. the chinese alchemists believed Mercury was like some kinda wonder Water ingredient with lots of Yin which would somehow grant immortal life so they really went wild with it.

anyway, Læraðr is of the wood element. if hes dealing with Mercury, he would have gotten absolutely wrecked by the element according to feng shui.

and for what its worth he might be suffering from the same mercury poisoning effects the unnamed king had too.

Hello, happy belated new year.

I am back for an important message. I bring a message for my fellow players of Fire Emblem Heroes. Many of you may be participating in this year's Choose Your Legends, and I firmly believe there is one character that deserves your vote.

Book V introduced Reginn to FEH on December 2020. It prominently showed her wielding the magical sword Gramr throughout the events of Book V. It is now 2024, and there is still no alt for Reginn wielding Gramr.

This is an injustice, and if you also think this girl deserves her sick ass sword, you know what to do.

Vote Reginn for CYL 8.

After Book III and Book V crashed and burned, I'm afraid nothing looks interesting to me anymore 😞 So I'm not expecting anything from this, a big cast of new characters doesn't mean much for FEH when like half of them can die in the blink of an eye for drama's sake tbh, so... the designs are kinda nice but that's it.

I don't even like the music particularly this time around, which is far more tragic, for Book VII at least I liked the music lmao.

Ok feh talk! IntSys give a free male OC challenge difficulty: Impossible...

Tbh I kinda like the new designs, definetely more varied than last book "v-tuber waifus with giant boobs" design used for most characters... But still sad that the guys are getting more shafted every year!

The two mysterious characters are my favorite designs (probably based in the yggdrasill's goat and stag) but I know IntSys gonna make the guy have the tiniest role possible or be the books main villain... I REALLY want they at least make him summonable, his design is so cool and I don't want to wait, like, 2 years for his base form get in the game :c

Also, talking of guys shafted... L for Inigo! He joins Sylvain in the fan favorite guys that become a shitty demote gang (Inigo at least has better stats, but he is a infantry sword... The most bloated and usually powercrept class)!

About the banner, nothing much else to say... Lucina gets another alt but now with probably the fast oriented rearmed axe, severa is a godsword and the we also heve free OC that shuts down one of the most annoying mechanics of the game: teleportation (Sorry gatekeeper you definetely lost your niche and also flier stonks definetely sinking). A rant about the demote tho, everybody knew Laurent would be a demote when getting in feh, but what bothers me is that IntSys insists in giving repeated shitty skills in the 4-star pool! Seriously? Atk/Res ideal and rouse atk/res? That's the exact same kit as Hilda which was released what? 2 years ago? There are 3 grail units with that ideal skill while 2 have rouse! We have some of the most busted tier 4 skills but then can't even get us some decend bridge fodder...

New game mode can't say much, IntSys always focusing in the PvP instead of PvE, but this time auto-battles for you so you can pretend you don't care when your team loses against the most bullshit whale team you can find... Also, the mode rewards looks really bad...

Anyways, I know I'm focusing more in the negative, but at least OCs looks cool... I Hope Veronica do something in this book and I'm curious about the book showing some focus in the askr Queen! I always expect nothing about feh story, but It would be funny If Sharena's mom got more development than sharena herself in this book (also, I'm definetely more interested in this book and last one)

FEH Books I don't care about at all: II, V (The only one I really Dislike is V but that's just because I find it boring as Shite, book II is good but it has a Huge problem with character balancing and Gunnthrá's my fave so you can See where that makes me a lil :/ about it)

Hraesvelger is going to die fighting us and then their dad isn't gonna care to show how Evil he is

Don't know the vibes of Moose man and Goat Lady 3 to say but coin flip on one of them surviving (despite what people say like. Elm survived book VI and Nott died for pointless shock value in book V, gender does not matter when it comes to pointlessly killing off OCs to Feh)

And creepy face man's the final boss probably so he's definitely dead last

Holy fucking shit this design is awesome, I loudly exclaimed when I first saw the trailer for the new FEH banner bc she looks so so so cool! Very much a Book V inspired outfit I'd say which makes sense given Reginn and Dagr being the first two of the new hero type although I do wonder why they skipped straight to Book V :o Not complaining, just an interesting choice given that I believe III is possibly the most popular? Anyways! Sorry for going off topic I just really wanted to call attention to Marianne bc she looks awesome ^_^
