We all have that unlovable side. That "other self" we try to hide. But sometimes it just comes out and rules.

And all we can do is watch as it destroys us

And hope it gets tired and goes away.

My head

Been having a rough time getting out of my own head lately. Called out of work three days ago told them I got hurt and was on bed rest. I did hurt my leg but it wasn’t bad at all. Barely getting out of bed. If I didn’t have dogs I probably wouldn’t get out at all. Been asking people to go do fun stuff, making sure to ask in a way that they won’t know I’ve been falling apart. Yet no one wants to hang out or say they will then cancel. I was doing pretty good for awhile keeping myself focused and active. Now I’m creeping closer to that thin line where I make that destination plan. Dying on the inside, maybe the outside should match the inside.

Sad morning. I was out looking for mushrooms and came across an injured adult Sparrow Hawk. It looked like it may have been hit by a car but was very much alive. Called the RSPCA and they’re only handling emergencies right now, and our vet but they won’t help because of bird flu. Looked into other sanctuaries but our nearest is Peterborough and as they’re in Tier 4 they can’t leave their area. Why is it when you try to call for “someone who will help” it takes two business days to get back to you

You ask them what to do when you’re having an anxiety attack and your sobbing violently and the tell you to go to the ER.

They work in mental health. They’re supposed to understand how scary the emergency room is.

They tell you to ask for help. They tell you are worth it. Then you try to get help and you try to believe you are worth it and they just 1. Put you on hold or 2. Lock up up in a rubber room.

Isn’t there a in between?
