#its why i alive her for some post s4 stuff just so i have more to work with 😔#but i dont Love doing that....she sealed her fate..she was lost in the sauce...#but theres so much there..............#the way minnie was concerned for vi while betrayed!vi and clem were fighting in the cell she def still had feelings...#they still wouldve been dating if she was never taken like......#ITS SO MESSY I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#like while i Do think there was some tension in their relationship somewhere bc that line in the woods didnt come from nowhere#no matter how changed she was by the delta that sentiment had to come from somewhere. maybe she could just never say it#but idk if they wouldve broken up over it and there was no reason for violets feelings to change either. she just grieved her 'death'#vi says the real minnie is gone and that she'll do what she has to to keep everyone else safe but like....#theres no way shes not still conflicted on some level like you can see it on the boat she cant leave her. esp since she kinda blames hersel#minnie being clems dark reflection but clem is minnies reflection just as much (obvs) the tension is palpable between them#clem being the part of herself that she killed when she killed sophie...the symbolism of killing your own twin...#and how much does clem remind her of sophie too like whos clem Really mirroring here#THERES SO MUCH MEAT THAT IM CHEWING ON THIS IS A GRAND MEAL#and i cant fucking do anything about it 😭 seriously how do i work within these constraints#there isnt even a 2 week jump like there is in ep2 theres no unaccounted for time in eps 3 and 4 ITS KILLING ME#i bet in a betrayed!vi route minnie was glad to see her when they made it to the boat. and vi feeling betrayed by clem was a perfect target#totally susceptible. minnie gets in her head that its safer to give in instead of fighting back... and now theyre together again...#vi betrayed by clem falling right back into minnies arms OOF girl get away she is Fucked Up..theyre both fucked up 😭 clem u broke her#betrayed!vis reaction to hearing minnies confession about sophie..girl must have been so emotionally fucked in that cell#mmm toxic yuri mmmmm :)#god clemvi really has it all..............................................#why would i need anything else...when clemvi is here#twdg#it speaks#still cant believe my fave girlie really got it all :)

Behind Closed Doors {k.s.m}
Kim Seungmin x gn!reader, established relationship, seungmin brain rot, my bias wrecker of all bias wreckers, kinda proofread but im sure there's errors pls just ignore them thanks.
“Are you sure everything is okay with you and Seungmin?” Your friend asked carefully over coffee one day.
“Uh, yeah, everything’s great?” You looked at her with confusion before setting your drink down to fully understand what she was trying to say.
“It’s just…” She hesitated. “We’re just worried about you y/n. We all know you deserve someone who’s absolutely obsessed with you, but I don’t think we’ve even seen the two of you kiss yet. And you’ve been dating for well over a year now.” You sighed and looked down into your drink. “I mean, the most contact we’ve seen between the two of you is that you sit semi-close to one another and occasionally hold pinkies.”
What she didn’t know was that it was always like this with him in public, shy minimal touches but eyes filled with adoration. There was the rare occasion where he would even hold you a bit closer, but that was on days he was feeling extra clingy. PDA was something that made both of you a little uncomfortable, so your public excursions usually consisted more of longing gazes and flushed cheeks. You had tried to explain this many times, but your friends wouldn’t have it.
What they don’t see is the fact that the second you are securely behind the closed apartment door, you can’t seem to get rid of him. Like a golden retriever thinking it’s a lap dog, he will fully lay on you while reading or scrolling through his phone. He’s so extremely clingy, following you around just about anywhere (he lets you have your privacy for the toilet but even that is a stretch).
He has to be touching you in some way, whether it’s your feet in his lap or his hand on your thigh. He’ll never admit it, but physical touch is very comforting for him and he tries to fill up on it as much as he can when the two of you are alone.
It was a point of conflict early in your relationship, mainly because your friends (continuously) expressed their concern about how cold he seemed. The way he would tease you mercilessly (but they didn’t see the heart eyes he had when he called you an idiot). They would also make passive aggressive comments to him and you had no idea it upset him. You found out on a seemingly random day when you got home from work, excited to be mauled by him. However you were greeted by silence, Seungmin laying quietly on the couch with his hood on and headphones secured over his head.
“Hey, Minnie, I’m home.” You called softly, setting your bag down and gently patting the top of his head. He looked up at you and nodded, flashing a tight smile and looking back down at his phone. You smile softly, assuming he’s tired and decide to just go get changed out of work clothes.
Once comfy, you come back and squeeze yourself beside him on the couch. He sighs and moves away, making your heart drop a bit. “Are you… upset about something?” You ask, leaning forward to try and look at his face.
“I’m just acting the way your friends think I do.” He mutters, standing up from the couch. You furrow your brow, looking up at him.
“What are you talking about?” He scoffed at your response, walking into the kitchen. You follow after him, watching as he grabs a bottle of water from the fridge.
“Your friend said the other day that I must not show you a whole lot of affection.”
“Min, she was just teasing. She didn’t mean it.”
“Yes she did. She says out of pocket shit like that all the time. All of them do.” He sighs, pulling his hood off his head to make eye contact with you. “And you just laugh it off every time. It’s like you agree with them.” His expression is serious as he holds steady eye contact, keeping his tone level and calm. Your chest tightens, realizing that your friends had been hurting the one you love all this time and he just took it without saying anything.
“Seungmin, I… I don’t agree with them at all I swear. I know you’re so full of love and I am so sorry I didn’t realize their words hurt you.” You feel your eyes begin to water, turning your head to try and hide it. “I’ve tried explaining to them how much pda kinda freaks us out but they just have these preconceived ideas about what a relationship looks like… I’ll talk with them.” You promise, swiping the stray tears from you cheek. “I’ll, uh, give you some space then. I’m gonna head to bed. Love you.” You smile assuringly and pat his arm on your way past him. You’re only about two steps away when you hear him murmur,
“Dumbass.” Before you’re engulfed in his arms from behind. “I wanna hold you even if I’m upset with you. It’s annoying.” He sighs and rests his chin on your shoulder. You silently stand in his grasp, holding back the tears that are trembling in your eyes.
“Min, I really am so sorry.” You whisper, leaning forward to kiss whatever part of his arm was closest to your mouth. You can feel him hum against your back and his hug tighten ever so slightly.
“You’re the person I love the most in this world. I hate the idea that you might doubt that just because I’m a private person.” He nuzzles his face into your neck, sighing softly.
“I have never ever doubted you, Seungmin.” You smile softly, turning to look at his face. He nods, smiling back.
“Good. Now give me a kiss before I die.” He chuckles, leaning in with a wide smile.

Hiii i personally would live to hear about rabbits kiss- i mean the lore!
RUBS MY HANDS TOGETHER... alright fellas. Buckle your butts in Make sure to drop the post down to read the full lore!
Bon's Beginning, Love Interest:
Bon was originally made to be Frankie's Minnie! Back then, she was called Bonnie, and her whole purpose was to be part of all the romantic storylines—like all those you can think of. Plus, she was supposed to help Frank with some of his tricks for the shows. You know, like in magic acts where a pretty lady gets cut in half or vanishes—basically eye candy for him and the crowd. But Bonnie never clicked with the audience, so she started showing up less and less until she seemed to vanish from the show, only popping up as a low-key background character. People figured, "Oh ok- she’s still exists she's just not getting any attention anymore". That way they can focus on more diverse plots! Many people assumed they were still meant to be together.
The Rival Era:
So, while they were working on the new seasons of the show, they wanted to mix things up a bit—like throw in some Looney Tunes-style slapstick with classic Disney vibes and a bit of Tom and Jerry fun.
When they were coming up with ideas for rival characters, they gave Bonnie a makeover and turned her into Bon, a chocolate colored rabbit! Since they looked super similar, fans were like, "Oh, Bonnie must have a twin brother!" There were never any storylines where they fought over a girl or anything, so everyone just thought, "Yep, definitely Bonnie's brother." But the truth is, it’s the same character. Bonnie's not around anymore, so you could see Bon as a trans allegory if you wanted. So Bon has become Frankie's Mortimer, Tom to his Jerry, Daffy to his Bugs- but their shenanigans entirely depend on the episode's plot!
More Than Meets The Eyes:
So, now that he's a guy, he can’t be a love interest anymore, right? They totally have that Tom and Jerry vibe going on—like, sometimes Frankie wins, sometimes Bon wins, sometimes they both get the short end of the stick and occasionally they actually work well together, even if it ends with them slap-fighting over who gets the trophy.
So, every episode they cook up this stew of drama with one conflict after another, but then it’s like they hit the reset button on all the storylines and their progress. One reoccurring joke is that since Bon is called a chocolate rabbit (his name being a pun haha), it's a running joke that Frank wants to take a bite out of him.
Sometimes, you see them actually caring for one another. Like, if Frankie twists his leg and really messes it up (totally inspired by some fan art I got), he’d pretend he’s totally fine and be like, “See! I LITERALLY can’t stand you!” right before crashing down- and Bon would roll his eyes but still help him out, picking him up and carrying him when he needs it. But once Frankie’s all healed up, it’s right back to their bickering.
That’s just a chill example, but let’s say Frankie’s really not okay. They’ve got this dynamic of “I can’t stand you, but I also can’t handle seeing you so miserable.” Even though they mess with each other a lot, when things get real, they manage to soften a bit. It’s mostly in their body language since they’re not exactly pros at comforting one another, but they give it a shot. Bon tones down his quips and helps Frankie through whatever’s going on. They have these genuine, tender moments, but then, of course, by the next episode, everything's back to square one.
Yearning For A Fictional Reality:
I totally dig the trope where a cartoon character suddenly gains their own consciousness and totally goes against how they're portrayed in the show. So, yeah, since Bon never got a consciousness Frank kind of yearned for him to have one. He wouldn't admit why but as unbothered as he is with a lot of things, he wants to have someone there with him, and out of every character he wants a Bon.
Those old romance episodes just feel so cringy to him, like the whole “I was made to be yours” drama. He’s not about that. What he really wants is the guy who wasn't MADE to be his. He wants to make him his.
Our Lucky Contestant:
The lucky contestant in Bon's world is kinda like Bon in a lot of ways. For starters, their personalities aren’t exactly the same, but you can definitely see some similarities. Lucky always looks like he’s running on empty, and while he’s a bit sarcastic, he’s also really genuine and just juggling a ton of stuff in his life. He doesn’t have that same cocky vibe as Bon. So, he and Frank tend to clash a bit, even though The Other gets along just fine with the new guy. In fact, you could argue they have a situationship brewing.
Things took a turn when Frank finally saw Lucky without his mask on. He’s got chocolate brown hair, a ton of freckles, and hazel eyes (though he pops in lime green contacts sometimes, but those don’t last long). He’s different, but still so similar at the same time. Plus, Lucky sometimes rocks this headband that looks like rabbit ears, and The Other thinks it’s cute because it gives him a chance to mess around with Lucky’s ears- BUT I DIGRESS.
It really weighs on Frank, and he starts to act all strange afterward. He beats himself up for being so desperate to have a Bon around that he’s imagining him in people he shouldn’t. But it’s like clockwork – “Lucky” keeps getting swapped out for “Bon.” At first, he just slips up, but after some time, he won’t call Lucky anything except “Bon.” Not “Lucky,” not his real name; just “Bon.” It gets him all stressed out, so he starts sending mixed signals to the guy, sometimes being pretty hostile and other times sounding all longing.
He starts projecting onto Lucky more and more. Sometimes he even tries to stir up conflicts that don’t make any sense, kind of like something out of a cartoon. He’s chasing that high, he wants HIS BON. He craves that warmth and tenderness he feels during those emotional moments between Bon and Frankie in the cartoon. It doesn't change who he is or take the top spot on his priority list since the show matters to him. But still, it eats into how he interacts with Lucky and takes up a lot of his mental space.
Bigger Budgeting:
Eventually, though, he gets what he's been longing for. With the budget getting a nice bump, the Other gets a totally new body—way sleeker and less clunky than in the game. Since there's more cash to throw around, the higher-ups are all about new ideas. At one point, Frank even ends up with these awesome mech arms, and his 4D tech gets an upgrade. But the real kicker? Lucky becomes a test subject for something super special. They want to pull him into the cartoon world—like actually transport his mind onto the screen. The plan is that, in the end game, they could test it out for other contestants, where you’ve got to survive in the cartoon world, and if you die there, you kick the bucket in real life too! So, naturally, Lucky is the first one they put through the wringer!
And guess what? When they finally get it to work, Lucky looks REALLY familiar in the cartoon world. He thought he’d be a human or something—just himself but in that rubber-hose style, but nope. He looks exactly like Bon, right down to the last detail. He might not sound exactly like him, but man, the visuals are spot on. Frank had no clue this would happen, either. He was totally in the dark.
Was it intentional? Oh very much so- the only difference is that they don't sound exactly the same. (Normal Cartoon Bon sounds like this btw.) But other than that, down to a T. The Other can keep track of how things go in the cartoon world- until he can't. These two need some alone time after all- imagine how you will. (Yes he does try to take a bite out of Lucky's arm and he is disappointed he doesn't taste like chocolate)
I LOVE THESE TWOOO I HOPE THIS SNIPPET IS SUFFICIENT!

In the Eye of the Beholder
So like I’m a bit late because the day is almost over but this is my entry for Garreth Weasley Fest 2024 ! My prompt was “Life drawing model (Garreth poses for a semi nude painting)”. This has been so fun and it was such a pleasure to participate.
Big big shout out to the wonderful @ellivenollivander and @cuffmeinblack for organizing all of this. You can find so much more Garreth content on @garrethweasleyfest !!!
18+ || MDNI || Content Warnings: explicit smut, aged up characters (this takes place a couple years post Hogwarts), lil bit of a size kink, dirty talk, unprotected p in v sex, Garreth’s pull out game is pretty strong, please let me know if I missed anything else
Word Count: 1.3k
Garreth Weasley x f!Non-MC!OC
Garreth had never been an insecure man. He liked his messy hair and his freckles. He thought he had nice eyes and a handsome smile. He liked the shape he was in, most of the time. He was relatively fit, his time spent farming had paid off and kept him in shape after finishing his schooling. It showed most when he went out, as he never seemed to struggle to find a witch to warm his bed.
There had been a sheet posted in the Three Broomsticks looking for volunteers to be models for some artist out in Brocburrow. His confidence in himself and a few too many drinks with Leander and Lucan, celebrating the latter’s graduation from Hogwarts, led to him signing his name and leaving his address for an owl on the sign up sheet. He watched as his already messy handwriting - made worse by the liquor flowing through his veins - disappeared on the parchment thanks to a variation of the protean charm. Not that he was sober enough to name it at this point. He returned to the table to the sound of hoots and jeers from his two fellow Gryffindors. By the time they left that night, he had forgotten all about it.
Within a week, there was an unfamiliar owl tapping at his window around lunch. He took the parchment from its outstretched leg, giving the bird a treat before it took off. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he tried to figure out who had written him before unrolling the parchment.
“Good morning Mr. Weasley,
I hope this letter finds you well. I’m writing in regards to the live model posting made in the Three Broomsticks. You provided your name and address as someone who may be interested in posing. The session will take place in Brocburrow next weekend. If you have no time conflicts and are still interested in having your portrait painted, I’ll meet you by the floo point in Brocburrow at noon. Please try to be punctual. If you have any further questions before next weekend, please feel free to write. You can send your owl to…”
The young woman, based on the signature at the bottom, provided her address and her name. He debated until the weekend whether he’d actually go or not. As the sun rose on Saturday morning and he realized he had less to do than he thought and it was only eight o’clock. He had plenty of time to finish his usual chores and get cleaned up before noon. He hurried through what he could, though he did curse at the chickens when they took their sweet time evacuating the coop. He was covered in sweat and dirt by the time he returned to his cottage.
By the time he popped through the floo at ten minutes before noon, he looked like a completely different man. He looked around before his eyes met those of a witch who was sitting in front of the floo.
“Mr. Weasley?”
She stood before he answered, her hand extending to shake his as she introduced herself.
“Minerva. You’re welcome to call me Minnie if you’d like.”
“You can just call me Garreth. Mr. Weasley is my dad,” he smiled as he shook her hand and his eyes raked over her much smaller figure.
The pair chatted idly as Minerva led the way to her portrait studio, admiring the leaves as they were changing due to the upcoming colder weather. As they entered the room, it was obvious where Garreth was meant to sit. He looked to the artist for guidance, since he knew he was simply there to be her muse, so to speak.
The young woman’s cheeks tinted slightly. “So, you’ll be posed in the middle there. You’ll have to remain relatively still, but it would be quite uncomfortable if we were just sitting here silently. So until I need your face, we’ll chat and I’ll try and make the face last and fast.”
Garreth chuckled and nodded at her explanation. “Pose me however you want, I’m just here to help you channel your artistic expertise.”
~~~~
When he said “however you want”, this hadn’t been what Garreth was expecting. Most of his clothes were folded on a chair and there was a black sheet draped over his lap. Minerva had very carefully adorned his red curls with a golden leafed headband that made him feel like a Greek god. Her hands had been all over his arms and his back as she posed him in a way that he assumed made the muscles in those parts the main focus. She had very gently turned his head to the side, and he allowed himself to scan over her face. He could already tell her pupils were dilated, and he heard her breath hitch when their eyes locked and green met the warmest brown he had ever seen.
He wasn’t sure who leaned in first, but he blinked and suddenly he was kissing the softest lips he had ever felt. He felt fingers tangle in his hair and pull, causing a moan to bubble up from his chest.
Garreth shifted, getting the witch settled beneath him. He worked eagerly to get her bared beneath him, pulling back to admire every inch of skin he could get his eyes and lips on.
“Bloody gorgeous…” he groaned as his head dipped down and he took a pert nipple between his lips. His tongue laved over the hardened bud to the tune of the prettiest whines to grace his ears. He pulled off one with a pop before giving her other breast the same attention.
“Garreth please,” she breathed, looking down at him through hooded eyes.
It was all the encouragement he needed to reach down and coat his fingers in her arousal before bringing them to her clit. He rubbed tight circles over the bundle of nerves, unable to fight the smirk on his face.
“Do all your muses get you this wet, little Minnie?”
Her answer never came, a moan tumbling from her lips as he pushed two fingers into her. He crooned, the tone turning condescending as he spoke.
“Merlin’s beard. Squeezing my fingers so tight. Dunno how you’re gonna take my cock.”
His thumb moved to rub her clit while his fingers continued to pump into her aching heat. He took cues from her to figure out the best angle, best pace, best rhythm. Garreth Weasley was nothing if not attentive to his partners.
“That’s it Minnie. Come on. I can feel it. Cum for me baby.”
With a loud cry of his name, he felt her walls fluttering around his fingers as her back arched off the stage. He wasted no time ridding himself of what little clothing remained on his body and very slowly worked every throbbing inch into the pretty artist beneath him. He watched her face, relishing in the way her eyes widened as she felt the stretch.
“I know. You’re doing so good for me. Such a good girl.”
“‘S so…” she trailed off into a whine, her eyes rolling back as he bottomed out.
“I know. And you’re taking all of it so well.”
With her confirmation, he started to rock his hips. He started slower but gradually he got faster, and based on the way Minerva was dragging her nails down his back he had found a good speed.
His hand moved between them, once again searching to increase her pleasure. As Garreth pushed them both, he could once again feel her impending release growing closer. It didn’t take much to work them both over the edge, and Garreth painted her stomach white.
He fell beside her, his heart racing and his chest heaving as he tried to catch his breath.
“So,” she asked breathlessly, still trying to get her bearings, “are you free to pose next week?”
Hey! I hope your doing well! If it’s okay to ask, how do you think your currently Matt series would play out if Elektra was in the picture (either she didn’t die in the Defenders, or comes back to life again)? Would there be any effect?
It would certainly complicate things.
Matt would have to make the decision to choose between Elektra and Minnie. In the context of the show, it's shown he self sabotages when it comes to her and let's his feelings for her take over the rational part of his brain. He tried to die with her.
He becomes consumed by Elektra - he ditched school, he ditched Foggy, he ditched life.
Would he ditch Minnie? Family has always been the thing Matt has wanted. In 'and then I met you' he's making the effort to not repeat his past mistakes - but who knows what that would mean if Elektra came back again.
Especially considering what her intent would be - is she trying to rebuild her life not being a pawn for the Hand and the Chaste or is she trying to pull Matt into something?
Foggy, Karen, and Frank would certainly have A Lot of words for Matt if she did appear again. And that's not even touching on Reader.
Reader will neglect her own feelings on something but she will not tolerate Matt breaking Minnie's heart.
Though, if Elektra came in and put her foot down that she's not interested in rekindling anything with Matt and just wants to restart her life, I think she could make for a cool Rich Aunt who would randomly dote on Minnie by buying her expensive princess dresses. She'd have high standards.
But honestly, I don't plan for Elektra to show up for that reason? I don't want that conflict plus I don't even know how I would incorporate it into what I have planned, or how to bring her back to life
For now, we can say, if she's alive, she's in Europe somewhere getting her shit back together
Can you do a reading for gidle minnie upcoming solo what the concept will be and if she will do well and if she have features in her album
Disclaimer: This reading is only for entertainment. Take it with a grain of salt. These are my personal interpretations of the cards with a sprinkle of intuition. Tarot is not set in stone it is not the end all be all of someones life.
What's the concept of her upcoming solo?
2 of cups (rx), 2 of swords, queen of cups, temperance (rx):
It may talk about broken relationships, unrequited love and internal conflicts. She might talk about healing from these themes or being vulnerable about the aftermath of emotional disconnection. It might be very introspective about healing and battling your emotions and trying to find a balance.
Will it do well?
the chariot (rx), strength, the hermit (rx), the sun:
It might struggle finding momentum at first, it might not find the right audience at first, fans might appreciate her honesty, strength, and authenticity. I see everything working out and she getting her props for the song, but it will not be an easy journey there.
Will she have any features on her album?
the hermit (rx), the sun, the empress (rx), 9 of pentacles (rx):
Not sure if it seems like she wants it to be all about her and her voice. She might find it hard choosing someone who fits in with her. There seems to be a disconnect between her and potential collaborators. If she did have features, it would be a beautiful piece of work they would contribute to its success. She just seems to want to maintain a level of control over everything and feels like she has more to prove on her own.
Okay I wanna ramble about the OFMD S2 finale now. This is a fucking ramble and a half but it was do this or continue posting disconnected, inarticulate messages at 5am. Spoilers ahead.
I wanna start this with the things I LIKED this season so I'm not just being a hater. Overall, I'm super happy this show even exists. A historical pirate show with an entire cast of queer characters (and many queer actors/creators) is always a good thing in my book. It's better that these shows succeed and show that it's a viable creative endeavor. Specific things I liked about s2: -Zheng. She's incredible. I loved her the second she revealed who she was and just found her so entertaining whenever she was on screen. I hope Ruibo Qian gets more chances to shine in the future, preferably as a lead.
-All the guest stars gave 110% and I found them delightful. I completely understand why the toxic lesbians took off the way they did on social media when Minnie Driver and Rachel House were so charismatic. -The Innkeeper. This episode made me so hopeful for what the season COULD be because I thought Ed's internal conflict was handled in such a great way. Kind of a shame that they set up this beautiful story of a self-loathing, suicidal person who's wronged the people he loves as worthy of second chances only to fuck that up later BUT WHATEVER THAT'S A FUTURE PROBLEM. -There are plenty of individual moments that made me feel great. That really made me love these characters and came close to capturing what I felt in the first season. But I will add a caveat to this thought in the next bit... Specific things I did not like about OFMD s2: -So, while I did enjoy individual moments when separated from the whole of the series, when trying to think of them in context everything felt so...cobbled together? Instead of feeling like I was watching a cohesive story, it felt more like the writers' room had sat down and said "All right, what scenes would people like to see? What character moments would get people talking?" Which I think was a mistake. -Plot threads were left dangling in the wind. Character conflicts were either wrapped up in a blink or were entirely forgotten. It felt like a season with no consequences (which is WEIRD, considering). I'd had an in-depth conversation with a friend around episode 2 or 3, but I'd said I was excited to see how Izzy and Stede's conflict could develop as the season went on--I specifically wanted an exploration into the idea that regardless of how hard you work to redeem yourself, nobody owes it to you to accept your apology. And that that's OKAY. Instead it felt like everyone looked at Izzy as if his previous behavior was the behavior of a mischievous cat who knocks shit off counters as opposed to a toxic force within the crew.
-I'm not an Izzy hater, I'm not an Izzy fanboy; I'm just someone who likes coherent character arcs. His character arc sucked, guys. Like I'm sorry, I know most of us were delighted with his drag show and casual, friendly bitchiness. But it made no goddamn sense for who he was in the last season, and I feel that the total 180 he did from being the symbol of toxic masculinity to giving heartwarming speeches about pirate life being all about acceptance and family to be...messy. I genuinely thought that Izzy was going to be used as an allegory for Ed having an addiction and needing to withdraw from it over a season, or that the season would at least confront the toxic nature of their relationship in a way that wasn't THREE SECONDS BEFORE IZZY DIED. Also sorry Izzy is coming up in another point but it's because it felt like 70% of this season was Izzy. -The shafting of the side characters. Remember when Ed was like "I'm the fuckin' devil. And these are the kids"? Yeah, that was kind of the vibe the whole damn time, eh? I'll be totally upfront with you, I didn't love the first season because the two Kiwis kissed. I loved the first season for the characters. I was SO intrigued by every one of them, particularly Jim and Olu. This season, every single member of the crew felt more like Polly Pockets who would get pulled out when convenient and then tossed into the sand when the episode grew tired of them. Did any of them actually have character development? Did any of them get an actual moment to shine? Also, god, on the note of the handling of crew relationships. I can't believe this season managed to polybait but here we are. I would love to understand what the reasoning was to break up Olu and Jim. Was it because they couldn't imagine two new characters (Zheng and Archie) existing without a romance? Did amatonormativity strike again? Even removing the romantic development Olu and Jim had for each other, it really felt like they hadn't gone through ANY of the shit they had in the former season. Which I suppose you could say about any of the threads connecting characters because I swear these people acted like they'd just met at a work conference as opposed to having long-standing relationships to one another. -I would like to say for the record that I was never terribly invested in Izzy Hands as a character outside of what he symbolized, but I was initially hopeful he could lead to some fantastic character development for Ed, Stede and himself. Instead, as mentioned before, he had the most rushed character development I have EVER seen and for reasons I still can't really fathom. And maybe this is just a personal thing for me, but I actually really hate showing a suicidal person learning to love life and find new value in allowing themself the opportunity to grow as a person only to fucking murk them for a cheap, rushed emotional moment.
Closing thoughts--have you ever seen the special finale episode of Sense8 where the creators knew they'd been screwed by Netflix and so had to scramble to put together a cohesive end for those characters? And the episode we got was messy, it left threads dangling, it wrapped up character conflicts quickly, but it also ultimately seemed to reflect the overall heart of the show? Yeah, this was like that Sense8 finale episode but, at least for me, lacked any of the heart. I've seen people argue that the creators of OFMD wrapped so many conflicts so quickly because they wanted us to have "closure" in case they didn't get a season 3. But, I would argue that I would much rather receive a season that leaves me with questions but feels coherent only to not get answers to those questions than to get the cinematic equivalent of an Uber Eats refund. I'm not satisfied. I'm still hungry. I just have someone telling me I should still be grateful, anyway. I hope they get a season 3, I really do.
I wonder what the rest of Mickey’s crew thinks of Hannah
I hope they’re nice to her 🥺
I’m lookin at you Daisy
Each character and their dynamic at the beginning with Hannah below!
Donald: Donald at first was indifferent with Hannah. The two barely talked or interacted until Donald began to notice Mickey acting strange and knew it was because of Hannah. He straight up cornered her about Mickey one day, causing her to reveal her feeling for his friend, placing Donald in a tough situation of knowing the pair both had conflicted feelings for each other. Donald and Hannah actually becomes good friends afterwards.
Goofy: Hannah meet the group through Goofy. Being her old babysitter years ago, Goofy is seen as an older sibling/fatherly figure to Hannah. As someone who’s use to Goofy’s goofiness, Hannah in very nonchalant with him and his antics. Goofy was the first to realize that Hannah had a crush on Mickey and kept it a secret.
Minnie: Minnie is very sweet with Hannah, going as far as inviting her over for tea occasionally to chat. Hannah was always nervous around Minnie at first due to her crushing on Mickey while they were dating and felt bad and ashamed about it. Minnie was the last to realize that Hannah had a crush on Mickey. She was very understanding and was the one to push Hannah and Mickey together and been supportive the whole way.
Daisy: Daisy think Hannah is kinda bland and finds her lack of fashion odd. When she found out about Hannah crush on Mickey, she was outraged and immediately told Minnie about it. Later on, Daisy warmed up to Hannah and personally takes her on shopping trips with her.
❛ you did everything you could. ❜
* empathetic starters | accepting
"i know." her brow furrows, drawing together in consideration. "but he's still upset with me, i think."
it's nice to finally be able to celebrate their VICTORY. though remnants of the conflict remain, scattered across the galaxy, the war is won; rey is alive and healthy, and that's something to rejoice over. after so much pain -- years and years of seemingly endless suffering -- they've earned this chance to commemorate their achievements. it wasn't easy, but it's over now.
"i think he feels like i did it on purpose, or something. but... there wasn't anything else i could have done. it had to be me." that didn't mean she hadn't THOUGHT about thor, when she'd strategized with her friends one last time before disappearing into the sith citadel. of course she had. he was on her mind nearly the entire time, up until the moment when everything went black.
feeling him arrive on exegol was the only thing, actually, that had given her the strength to continue. that's one of several details she's glossed over with him, but she knows minnie would understand. the burden of making difficult decisions is one thing they have in COMMON.
"i don't blame him, exactly," rey sighs. "i'd be angry, too. i have been angry with him for this very same thing." thor has always been far more CARELESS with his life than rey has with hers. another reason why she feels she should be spared this indiscretion. "i just wish -- i don't know. it feels like everything that has pulled us apart these last few years is repaired, now. i want us to be able to be happy."
but things between them are still tender, and she knows she can't RUSH that. they're closer than ever regardless -- the rest will come in time. she shrugs, gaze bouncing from the fire they're sitting in front of back to minnie again. "thanks for coming all the way out here," she tacks on, belatedly. it's nice having someone nearby who just gets it, like minnie does. nice having someone she can talk to so openly without fear of judgment or reproach.
nice having friends at all -- people who care enough about her to celebrate that they've made it through to the other side ALIVE, when so many others hadn't. "we should have another drink," rey suggests, pushing to her feet. "something stronger."
#& answered.#ironrot#( * hope is like the sun / mcu crossover )#assuming they have 2-3 more minutes of girl time before thor inevitably finds her and attaches himself to her side
Movies I watched this week (Year 4, week 6)
2 more by Irish director John Michael McDonagh:
🍿 "Piece by piece, the camel enters the couscous..."
The Forgiven, my 4th atmospheric, restrained thriller by [Martin McDonagh's brother]. A jaded, cynical boozer Ralph Fiennes arrives in Morocco for a weekend in the desert, and accidentally kills a local boy. Ominous, well-made drama about the clash of cultures, guilt and the search for redemption, with luminous Jessica Chastain. 7/10.
🍿 The second death was his first short. A taciturn alcoholic sits in an Irish bar, grapples with his memories.
By now I've seen the 5 movies he directed, and all but 'War on everyone' were great.
🍿
I've waited to the much-anticipated American Fiction, an intelligent meta-film about a writer pandering to black stereotypes. It's an intellectual and erudite story about bookish people, with a protagonist named Thelonious "Monk" Ellison. The 2 highlights were the subtle dancing scene (at 1:18) between the mother struck with Alzheimer and her son, and the meta-ending, trying different hats for size. The score was great, the sister was funny, the approach was highbrow. But best film of 2023?... C'mon. 8/10.
🍿
Robot dreams is my second by Spanish Pablo Berger (I just saw his Torremolinos 73 a few weeks ago). It's a very emotional, wordless tale of loneliness and friendship between "Dog" and his robot. Outstanding sharp animation from the very first images, it vividly depicts NYC in the 80' in rich and colorful details [eating Cheetos, playing Pong, cleaning bowling balls like Jesus Quintana]. 9/10 and my happiest film experience of the week. Deserves an immediate re-watch.
I haven't seen 'The boy and the heron' yet, but it was nominated for this year's Oscar, and I hope it wins.
🍿
First watch: Murnau's classic melodrama Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans, winner of the first Oscars in 1929. Tracking camera movements, elaborate German expressionism sets and visual poetry.
🍿
5 more groundbreaking animations:
🍿 The amazing short, voted as the 19th Greatest Cartoon of All Time: Betty Boop in Snow-White. Max Fleischer's 1933 surrealistic piece, with Cab Calloway as 'Koko the Clown' singing "St. James Infirmary Blues."
Cab Calloway, the originator of the Moonwalk, collaborated with sexy Betty Boop in two other insane ditties: The Old Man of the Mountain and Minnie the Moocher.
🍿 Also, Dziga Vertov's 1924 Soviet Toys, the Soviet Union’s first ever animated movie.
🍿 Every time I watch the Dutch Father and daughter, it annihilates me, because I'm the father. Oscar winner for 2000. 10/10.
🍿
The Brother from Another Planet, my 3rd film by John Sayles, and the first disappointing one! This low-vibe sci-fi about an escaped extraterrestrial slave trying to find a new life in Harlem went way over my head. Originally, he was in a state of confusion, not knowing what things are. But then he developed some survival skills, but not others. (?). With young Fisher Stevens as a card hustler. 3/10.
🍿
2 with Laura Linney:
🍿 Suncoast is a semi-autobiographical coming of age story that feels crowded and depressing. A isolated 14-year-old girl in 2005 Clearwater, FL lives a life of trauma. Her brain dead, vegetative brother is being admitted to the same hospice where Terri Schiavo is, her father is already dead, she has no friends at all, and her mother, Laura Linney, is semi-crazed from all the tragedies. It's tough to take all that in, with death, Christianity and politics, mixing it up with regular teen angst and mother-daughter conflicts. With stirring performances by the two women, as well as Woody Harrelson as an irreverent anti-euthanasia activist. 4/10.
/ Female Director
🍿 "We're not in therapy right now. We're in real life..."
The Savages was the last of this week's movies, an afterthought. But it turned to be my favorite drama. My first by Tamara Jenkins, it tells of brunette Laura Linney, and her estranged brother Philip Seymour Hoffman, who have to get closer to each other, as they handle their distant father, now suffering from dementia. An unglamorous story with tender and subtle performances. 8/10.
[Strangely, both films, which has otherwise nothing in common with each other, include the same sad, cold scene of walking away in the corridors of a impersonal health-care institution, after the eventual death of a close relative.]
/ Female Director
🍿
The Company of Strangers is a Canadian story about 8 old women on a trip to the countryside, and who are stranded at an isolated cottage when their old tour bus breaks down. It's refreshing to see such a different premise for a movie, although, tbh, it wasn't too exciting.
/ Female Director
🍿
Carnival of Soul X 2:
🍿 "That's strange, Jim never has a second cup of coffee at home".
Carnival of Souls, a 1962 indie ghost story, the only feature film created by a guy from Lawrence, KS (who also played "The man"). A low-budget creative look, with German expressionist style, eerie organ score. A creepy neighbor, and a mansplaining doctor gaslight a single woman. There's an abandoned pavilion where the climax of the movie takes place, and it's clear that the whole plot was written around it. 4/10. (Photo Above).
🍿 Yella, my third enigmatic drama by Christian Petzold, loosely transported the narrative of 'Carnival of Soul' to modern day Germany. The heroine, Yella, is a submissive young woman with an abusive ex-husband who sees visions without agency. But replacing the spookiness of the original with unconvincing business machinations and unexplained sounds made it unremarkable and tedious. The fact that everybody left their hotel doors ajar was a big turn-off for me. 3/10.
🍿
Buster Keaton's The Navigator was his biggest commercial success. Later on it got selected for the National Film Registry, and earned 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. A few memorable set ups: Shuffling a deck of wet cards and an underwater sword fight with a swordfish. There's also the plot of the savage 'natives' / cannibals.
🍿
Kings of pastry, a D. A. Pennebaker documentary about three pastry chefs trying to achieve MOH status in 2007. For people with sweet tooth. Lovely over-use of Django Reinhardt 'Minor swing'. Re-watch.
🍿
In One Hour Photo Robin Williams played a lonely and obsessed clerk at a photo developing center at a mall. Not completely psychotic, he's sad and pathetic. The climax does not deliver.
🍿
First re-watch in many years: Tootsie about a unemployable actor who finally scores playing a female role. A melodrama about sex-roles and 1980 feminism that aged well for the most part. Mostly thanks to Sydney Pollack solid direction (and acting! He was better than the NY-actor Dustin Hoffman here, and he had all the best lines). Cross-dressing for the sake of a paycheck. 7/10.
🍿
First watch: Stephen King's middle-brow The green mile. Three hours of shallow drama, even before the supernatural miracles starts. A man-child 'Magical Negro' with the power of healing, all the time sweating like hogs, because of 'The south'. 3/10.
🍿
Nir ve Gali (ניר וגלי) is an Israeli animation studio that produced 91 anthropomorphic shorts. Unfortunately, their humor, which is among the funniest shit I ever saw, is probably untranslatable to people who don't speak Hebrew. Re-watch. 10/10.
🍿
Throw-back to the "Art project”:
Buster Keaton Adora.
🍿
i just think a "friended/romanced + saved + trust aj" violet does such a good job rounding out the plot and characters of S4 and i dont say that lightly
she walls people off out of fear just like S3 clem did and learned to grow out of through the compassion of others. feeling like she could have done more to save minnie being what initially makes her step up to lead, but her accepting her love for clem (and clem choosing to save her) is what leads to her Truly accepting the school and everyone inside it as her Home and gives her something to fight for ("i tried my damnedest not to care about either of you. and i still couldnt tell you why." "i know where youre coming from. after losing so many people, sometimes its easier to keep everyone at arms length." "and then you wonder why you fight so hard to stay alive. i dont wonder anymore."). this being the reasoning behind violets detachment from the school, as well as a negative home life impacting her idea of what a home even was. but together they turn ericson from a prison into the home theyve BOTH been looking for, renaming it together, and envisioning it for the future together. the two of them understand each other deeply, from what theyve lost to how its affected them and the poor ways theyve decided to react to it. but through their support of the other, they BOTH get to evolve into more relaxed and confident versions of themselves, who know Exactly what theyre fighting for
her troubled relationship with brody and getting to learn more about what happened with the twins/violets reaction to it and how she ultimately blames herself/brodys guilt about her part in it and how she misses violet. getting the chance to mend that relationship before its too late. the 3 of them becoming closer because of it. and getting to develop clems friendship with brody leads to a more impactful moment later in the basement
her relationship with tenn reflecting clems relationship with aj, in the way they both made the decision to look after their respective boys after their primary guardians died (ajs parents, tenns sisters). both of them can understand the responsibilities they have taken upon themselves, and how hard it can be to do right. the 4 of them become a tight knit group quickly. especially in EP2 as vi supports clem while tenn supports aj through the marlon fiasco
her confused relationship with minerva introducing interesting conflict both within her relationship with clem (who has her own personal conflict with minerva, which vi still ties into through her relationship with both minnie and tenn) and the over arching plot, which has themes of learning when to let someone go because they are no longer who they once were (clem and lilly "we were family once", mitch about ms martin "you get all caught up in who people used to be, and you cant deal with whats in front of you", violet about minnie "the real minnie? shes been gone this whole time and i have to stop mourning her")
having a saved violet on the boat expanding the conversation with minerva about her motivations with the delta. violet apologizing for never looking for her, minnie saying she knows she would have but that its too late now, so sure this is just the way things have to be. getting to hear minnie say "you can be rewarded, just like i am", giving us insight into her character. and clem getting the last word before she rams the door down, her and violet fighting minnie Together. and violet saves clems life, making the Choice to shoot minerva, which in and of itself is a huge moment for violets character in regards to her relationship with both minnie And clem
and aj shooting tenn on the bridge brings things full circle, by putting violet in the same position louis was in EP2, where aj has killed the most important person to her, in an effort to save her life, and now she must reckon with those feelings the same way louis had to about marlon. not so easy now is it violet? ("so youre mad, but sad" "can i be that for a while?" "yeah, its ok")
just... ough... violets whole character just fits into Everything so well, but in a way that elevates the characters and plots around her, while also developing her into her own
#plus tenn dying with minnie feels like looking at a clem and aj Bad End and that feels intentional#and vi being there fighting minnie for tenns life....the boy she took it upon herself to look out for.. and losing him 😭#ALSO i feel like the whole point of S4 is raising aj into someone clem trusts. like did you do a good job raising him or not??#like through the decisions i made i Did naturally trust him in that cave. but after seeing other routes i can def see why some didnt#but even if clem doesnt trust him in that cave he still proves later in the barn that he knows when to make his own call#its more about what clem has to lose/how long it takes for her to trust aj. he knows what hes doing now. clem says as much#none of this is me saying picking louis' route is BAD. im just pointing out the ways violets works on so many levels for me#esp since the season is already so short. all of this really helps to flesh out the plot and side characters in those 4 eps#but anyway this is why i cant stand violet slander especially when people say she was underdeveloped compared to other characters#i just think youre not paying attention to her#but what else is new for female characters#twdg#it speaks
I'm currently in the "torturing my OC" phase and I dunno why.
Rai recovered from his Multiversal adventure and became a lot more serious and jaded, constantly on defense and worried about some unexpected threat.
This begins to affect his life a lot. His work, friendships, and even his pokemon are worried.
At some point I like to think he has an intervention from everyone, and while he consistently claims he's ok, he's really just spiraling, doubling down on his self doubt and anxiety, not sure what to do anymore and claiming all is lost before he's given a big slap across the face by Tia.
They help pull him out of his slump, and he slowly begins coming back to his old self, still a looming threat of danger, but he's dealing with it better.
He also begins training in battles and using the new Z-Ring and Key Stone he acquired.
At some point, he also gained the confidence to finally ask out Tia, feeling that life is too short to panic over everything.
Turns out he does have an affinity for battles, but he still doesn't enjoy them as much as he doesn't like putting his pokemon and the people he cares about in danger.
He trains with his Unity System more so he can be stronger for his team and even works out more to push the power forward.
Rai also finally confronts his sister and his mother, nit wanting to let his only family be bitter at each other in the event something happens, finally lifting such a huge weight off of his shoulders.
This becomes not a return to Rai but an emergence of a newer, better Rai who is taking more of an initiative, even crippling a major crime ring because of his new atteiveness.
Rai feels more confident but also deals with some conflicts and changes within his social circle.
Eddie has been helping manage media for the Wild Dragoons and struck up some connections with other teams, pushing him more and more into brand coverage, something he's pretty good at, and they encourage him to pursue it.
Jo has noticed that Minnie isn't living up to her full potential, pulling up her file and revealing she was able to become a Special Ops Ranger, but she didn't take it in order to stay with Rai, to which Jo calls her an idiot for hindering her own potential for her friend, rather for her being too scared to branch out of her comfort zone.
Rai supports her choice as she goes off to become a Special Ops Ranger, leaving Rai and Jo as the only real consistent rangers, with volunteers making up most of the staff.
Rai is mostly alone, but he is glad for his friends as he maintains Sinnoh's peace and cheers on his girlfriend as she continues to tear up the competition.
However, an incident involving a royal family of Dragon Clan from Kalos appears in the middle of a match, choosing to confront Tia and her team for blasphemous practices and stealing from them.
A whole new challenge emerges.
Web of Lies
from Textbook Love drabble series
pairing: bully!Jungkook x nerdy!fem!Reader
genre: drabble, smut, college au
synopsis: Soyeon is honest, Taehyung is using his last breaths to tell you the truth, and Jungkook is lying. It seems that everything you know boils down to Jungkook lying.
warnings: angst, panic attack, dry humping, the TINIEST bit of fluff
word count: 4.3k
Obstacles are inevitable in relationships; there’s always something that must go wrong. They can come in the form of arguments, disagreements, actions, or people like Taehyung. One physical obstacle that always knows when Jungkook is with you.
A few days after the fight between the two close friends, Taehyung’s nose somewhat healed and Jungkook doesn’t shy away from you as frequently. What’s the point when the people he tried to hide you from found out about his relationship with you anyway? The only reason he doesn’t approach you every time he sees you is because: 1. He doesn’t enjoy being clingy; that would mean he likes being around you all the time which he refuses to admit. 2. You would probably get tired of him and stop loving him. 3. He kissed your friend who always sits next to you outside.
Now that he’s taking most of his opportunities to talk to you, and maybe kiss you, Taehyung is growing restless. Every time Jungkook is with you, so is Taehyung. Some. Fucking. How.
To name one of the busts: when Jungkook was kissing you in the university’s hallway two days ago, Taehyung popped in out of nowhere and shouted, “Get a room, you sluts!” It made for a good laugh between the students, especially when Jungkook ran after him out of the building.
Another time is when Jungkook was watching you work in the yard and Taehyung joined you two to ask about that “one hot friend of yours”. You ended up telling him about Soyeon and Minnie while Jungkook glared at Taehyung that conveyed a clear message: Don’t. So, he didn’t. It didn’t have anything to do with getting elbowed when you weren’t looking.
It was because that would ruin the fun, and he has a sense of purpose while roaming the entire campus to make his fourth bust of the week. He’s searched the hot and empty spots, but he just can’t find the passionate couple anywhere. If he can’t keep disrupting their displays of affection, how will Jungkook get annoyed enough to spill the truth to you? You deserve that much, and if you still accept him, then Taehyung’s out of the picture.
Why can’t Jungkook see that?
For starters, one of the reasons is Jungkook is distracted and growing very irritated by the heavy stare he feels digging into his skin. Who the fuck is watching him? He thought it would be nice to keep you company in the main campus library by controlling your hand under the table over his clothed erection while you skim through your textbook for a light revision, but a pair of eyes behind a bookshelf won’t stop glaring into his soul through thick frames that he can’t see.
He blows out a breath and screws his eyes shut. His jaw clenches and you immediately catch on, worriedly asking, “What’s wrong?”
“Someone’s fucking watching me and I can’t get off,” he grits. Your cheeks heat and grow crimson when you glance down at your occupied hand, palmed by his bigger one in a tight grip.
“I’m so sorry,” you whisper, “we can go to my dorm, if you’d like? Whatever you want.” In an act of comfort, you stupidly start caressing his length until he stands up.
“Gotta confront the fucker.”
Right when he raises his foot to take a step in the direction that his senses lead him to, Taehyung joins in on the mission. “Who are we confronting?” he asks casually with an arm over Soyeon’s shoulder, who is trying to suppress a grimace at the intervention. Jungkook glances at him and then your friend before sucking his teeth and rolling his eyes.
You grin brightly at the greeting and explain, “Someone's watching him. He’s going to find the stalker.”
“Might’ve been me, oops,” Taehyung raises his brows guiltily before slumping on a wooden chair adjacent to you, looking around the spacious area that makes him feel too loud. When he notices Soyeon still standing, he tells her, “come, sit,” and pats the seat next to him. She does so timidly. “Isn’t it so wonderful—”
“Why are you here?” Jungkook interrupts, but Taehyung continues, “—that we’re forming a friend group of our own? We’re all so familiar with each other.”
“Oh, Soyeon hasn’t met Jungkook yet.”
Taehyung narrows his eyes at you with a scrunch of his nose. “Sure about that?” Jungkook strides behind his chair and starts massaging his shoulders; a very harsh massage that has him holding back a wince. “Oh, Kook, that’s a bit rough. Tell me, is he like this in bed too?”
You gape at him in surprise, bashful because your lover doesn’t kiss and tell, and he doesn’t look too happy about it either.
“Tae…” Jungkook snarls.
“Well, is he, Soyeon?”
The library’s silence graces your table as everyone falls quiet, if you don’t count Taehyung’s groans at Jungkook’s bruising hold that is. Soyeon’s jaw drops and her eyes widen at the sudden switch in your gaze, searching for answers from her. “That’s not funny, Taehyung,” she breaks the silence with her blunt statement.
“Don’t mind him, baby, he has brain damage,” Jungkook spits and brings a hand up to Taehyung’s hair to yank it back. “I’m going to fucking kill you,” he whispers in his ear.
Your features begin to soften from its hard expression until Taehyung smiles wickedly at you. “Oh yeah, it wasn’t sex, was it? It was a tongue battle-” His voice cuts off the moment Jungkook starts choking him with his elbow, and his gags fall on deaf ears. Soyeon tries to push him off, but you’re just blank because Jungkook isn’t denying it; it was as if he was expecting it, trying to stop him all along.
The sudden interest in your friend, the constant interruptions, the hits…
“Soyeon?” you call quietly with welling up tears. “Did you kiss him?”
Your best friend doesn’t lie, and apparently neither does Taehyung. Does Jungkook lie? You’re conflicted between living in bliss, ignoring the dying man in front of you because your boyfriend might have kissed Soyeon, and facing reality by asking the hard questions.
Her hands are still tugging on his shirt to save Taehyung, but her persistence weakens when she looks at you: guilty and… exposed? “I didn’t know it was him,” she confesses. It is indirect, and doesn’t reveal much except that she kissed the one man she wasn’t supposed to.
“When?”
“The party,” Taehyung wheezes as he struggles against Jungkook’s arm, his nails drawing blood on his skin. His face is red from the lack of oxygen but he isn’t worried about dying.
“Oh, he put you up to this, didn’t he?” Jungkook speaks through clenched teeth to Soyeon. “They’re setting me up, and who the fuck is watching me?!”
You stand up slowly and close your textbook with a soft thud, packing your materials so graciously. Your hands are shaking, but the tears blurring your vision don’t matter to you. Soyeon is honest, Taehyung is using his last breaths to tell you the truth, and Jungkook is lying. You sling your bag over your shoulder and trudge to the exit, counting your steps to calm down. You ignore Jungkook asking you where you’re going, Taehyung gasping for breath, and Soyeon telling him to leave you alone. It’s all muffled and you’re too sad to care.
It’s a case of he said she said, but your heart is siding with your friends with how painfully it pounds against your chest. Your trust in Jungkook couldn’t have been that fragile, could it? Why did it break with one sentence?
Heavy footfalls follow you beyond the exit, but you’re too distracted by trying to move your legs steadily to notice. It isn’t important enough to distract you from someone calling your name though, or the light weight of a gentle hand on your shoulder. “Hm?” you say without looking up, frozen in your steps.
“A-Are you okay?” A smooth voice asks.
“I’m a bit sad,” your voice cracks and wavers from holding back a meltdown, “hurt.” You want to recognize the blurred image of the man standing next to you, so you blink and a tear sheds from each eye. “I told you to never talk to me again, Jimin.” You feel overwhelmed, and yet the memory of the blackmail has little impact on your mess of emotions, but it doesn't help you feel better either.
“Sorry,” he breathes, “I still don’t understand why, but you can do the talking for me. Wh-what happened?”
“Why do you ask? So you can use that against me too?” you scoff through the lump in your throat. Confusion washes his soft features, so you add, “maybe another handjob for it?” You shrug off his hand and continue your walk of shame.
“I-I’ve never used anything against you, what are you talking about?” He’s chasing after you and it’s a bit of help in swaying your thoughts in a different direction, and your emotions towards anger and disbelief instead.
“Does a video ring a bell? The one you threatened to leak if I didn’t touch your…” You groan to yourself and quicken your pace towards your dorm. Maybe you could mope comfortably in there without the annoying presence of an arch enemy, who is feeding you more lies than you’re capable of consuming in one day.
“What? I never— Listen, I deleted that video the second I received it. Whoever told you that was lying, please!”
It seems that everything you know boils down to Jungkook lying. His love was a lie too, apparently. Maybe the Jungkook you know is just one big fat lie who can’t seem to tell you the truth in any moment you’ve been with him. How many times do you need to hear from others and yourself that Jungkook is lying?
“I know,” you whimper and run off.
Once Taehyung catches his breath after coughing for a minute straight with a fresh bruise blossoming on his neck, he interrupts the hushed argument between Jungkook and Soyeon by asking, “Where’d she go?”
“I don’t know, but you’re going straight to hell once I fucking kill you for good,” Jungkook fumes with flushed cheeks.
“If you die by murder, you go straight to Heaven. How do you not know this?” His voice is low from the assault and his throat aches, but he still attempts to lighten the mood.
“I swear to fucking God, Taehyung—” Jungkook stops his threat when he sees Soyeon sneakily walking away. “Where the fuck are you going?”
“Air,” Soyeon vaguely answers.
“Bullshit.” Jungkook tries to go after her, wanting to be the first to find your dorm so she doesn't say more about that night, but Taehyung holds onto his wrist to stop him.
“She needs time—”
“Fuck off.”
When Jungkook begins to walk off after yanking off his hand, Taehyung immediately searches around the room and takes out a pen from a cup on the reception desk before jumping Jungkook from behind just as he was about to leave. They struggle against each other and start rolling around, but Taehyung is driven by adrenaline as he grounds himself on top of him. He holds him down with his legs and uncaps the pen to start writing on his forehead.
“What the fuck are you doing?!” Everyone in the library peeks at the commotion due to Jungkook’s loud yell, but neither of them pay mind as he tries to move away from the pen.
“See if she takes you seriously with dick written on your forehead,” Taehyung chuckles before sprinting off with him hot on his tail. Jungkook is stronger, but Taehyung is much faster as he loses him pretty quickly by hiding in an occupied lecture hall. The professor looks at him questioningly but he thinks fast and breathlessly asks the students, “Is Jeon Jungkook here? The headmaster is looking for him.” Some people search for him, but when no one makes a peep, he escapes the room and Jungkook’s wrath.
Now to go to your dorm before Jungkook scrubs off the ink…
“I didn’t know his name,” Soyeon murmurs while fidgeting with her fingers. When she came in the room, you were muffling your sobs with your pillow and all she saw was your jerking shoulders. She tried to comfort you, to hug you, but you weren’t exactly being friendly, and the setting is pretty much the same except she’s sitting on your bed while you still cry. “I asked people what he looked like, but it was just a description of every guy in the room. He wasn’t around for them to point at, and so I thought maybe he didn’t come. Then this guy kisses me on this couch, feels guilty about it, and tells me his name. I-I didn’t know it was Jungkook. He left for you anyway…”
Her attempt at consolation is fruitless because it only makes you cry harder. She rubs your back soothingly before standing up. “I’ll check up on you later. Let me know if you need anything, okay?” You nod against your stained pillow.
The moment she opens the door, Taehyung’s fist misses her head by an inch. “Oops,” he says before gently pushing her aside by her shoulder and entering. His eyes fall on your fetal position first thing and he pouts at you. “Aw, baby—”
“She doesn’t want to talk right now.”
“I’m good company,” he dismisses her with a flick of his wrist, “you can go.”
She rolls her eyes before shutting the door, and it’s only you and him now. Your hiccups fill the room as he sadly watches you, a quiet sigh leaving his mouth. “I tried to tell you. Well, I tried to get him to tell you.”
“Y-You said,” you snivel against the sheet, “th-that he was whipped for me.”
I said that to get you to open up. Even in his head it sounds cruel, so he rethinks his response with a grimace. “Jungkook told me he liked you.” Maybe shifting the blame wasn’t exactly much better, especially since he told him that after the claim, but you have enough on your plate.
“H-He told me he loved me,” you hiccup, releasing your death grip on the poor pillow. It’s a mask rather than a silencer now. Taehyung widens his eyes to himself and purses his lips. He takes Soyeon’s former seat and turns you on your back. His heart sinks a little when he sees your face: red nose, heavy lids, bloodshot eyes and quivering lips with messy hair. You look really pretty to him right now. “He lies so much. H-He even made me give Jimin a handjob.”
“Made you?” he repeats with his thumb drawing circular patterns on your collarbone.
You nod. “It’s a long story, and I don’t want to talk about it. It was horrible.”
His brows furrow at your tone. “That’s so fucked up... Man, you need to avoid him.”
“Jimin?”
“Jungkook. That’s too twisted, even for him. You’re an angel…” his palm reaches for your cheek and his thumb continues its soothing motions. “You didn’t deserve it.”
“Thank you,” you mouth and fresh tears brim as you try to swallow. It feels like you’re sick all over again, except there’s no misunderstanding to clear this time. He wipes a stray teardrop and smiles down at you; it’s a relaxing gesture. You close your eyes and hold onto his wrist, snuggling into his warm hand.
“I sound really cheesy, don’t I?” he chuckles. “Can’t lie, wish I had someone call me an angel after I caught my ex cheating on me.”
An involuntary giggle erupts from your mouth at his joke. “You’re an angel, Taehyung. An angel in disguise.” You peek at him before fluttering your eyes shut again. A pursed smile graces his lips, and he’s convinced he isn’t interested in you romantically, that it was just an invisible force drawing him closer to you, that he wasn’t the one aiming for your lips until a pound on the door resounds in the room.
You flinch away from his hand and he pulls back instantly; both of your heads shoot to the source of the noise.
“Open up!” Jungkook yells and continues fisting the door. “Open the fucking door!” Taehyung holds a finger against his lips, signalling you to stay silent until he leaves. “I want to talk. Open the door… please.” Neither of you say anything.
“Fine,” he agrees, “don’t talk. I’ll talk, but at least give me a sign that you’re here.” Before Taehyung can stop you, you rush to the door and knock once. You hear him slide down the door, presumably leaning his back against it and sitting on the floor. “Okay. I’m sor— They were lying—” you slam your fist against the door in denial. “Okay! But they weren’t telling the whole truth back there. I was um… on drugs. I was really fucking high, okay?”
“Yet your high-self still managed to yell at me! Clearly you weren’t high out of your mind,” you snap menacingly. He flinches at your sudden shut-down; he’s never heard you yell at him before, nor has he ever been the victim of your anger. It makes his heart drop.
“That was like, three hours after I got high! I was practically sober, plus, you weren’t talking to me that day!”
“I had lost my voice! I didn’t want you to get sick—"
“I DIDN’T FUCKING KNOW THAT!”
He gulps at your silence and inhales a deep breath to calm down. He hears you sniffle on the other side. “I-I didn’t know that. You wouldn’t kiss me, wouldn’t talk to me, and I didn’t know why. I thought you stopped loving me and… that really upset me.” He sighs to himself because he’s never opened up so honestly and it’s difficult, but he doesn’t exactly have a choice. It just feels so embarrassing.
Taehyung opens the window of your dorm and climbs out. You don’t see or hear it happen, too invested in your argument to even remember his existence. “Do you remember what I told you the night we did it for the first time?”
His face scrunches as he tries to replay the events beside the sex. The corner of his lip tugs upwards when he recalls you calling him a slut, but he’s still clueless as to why you’re bringing it up. You don’t leave him in the dark for long. “I told you I wouldn’t forgive you a second time.” He gnaws on his lip as his palms feel clammy with nervous sweat.
“W-We weren’t dating then,” he tries to justify. “I didn’t need forgiveness then. You’re so unfair!” He stands up and knocks with his fist again. “Let’s talk it out face to face, I’ll explain everything. You’re putting me at a disadvantage! Don’t you want clarity? Don’t you want this to work out?!” He starts chanting your name when you don’t answer. “I will break down this fucking door if you don’t open it,” he doesn’t sound nearly as intimidating as he usually does when threatening; he sounds more like he’s a second away from breaking down himself. “No, no… please. I-I’ll kiss another girl if you break up with me! You don’t want that, right? So just open the door.”
His tough façade crumbles the longer you ignore him, and he can’t believe the heavy weight he feels all over his body wants to leave in the form of tears. It stings in his eyes but he doesn’t dare let them fall. “You’re so fucking cruel!” He twists the door handle violently; desperately. A dry sob escapes him as he kicks the door one last time. “Oh God, oh God…” he tries to breathe but it doesn’t enter his lungs. It’s like being choked with a noose as he gasps and a tear runs down his cheek. His wheezes become so loud that you start hearing them and grow concerned.
You consider the possibility that it’s one of his tactics, trying to manipulate you, but you open the door anyway. It’s a slight crack and you barely get a look at him before he pushes it open completely and forces his way in. He sits on your bed and his shoulders hunch, breaths still shallow. “I didn’t mean it. I don’t like her, never did, I only— I was mad, and I couldn’t go through with it, and I’ve never shown you affection b-because I’ve only ever received it from you—” you hush his rambling with a hug, but he continues with his head against your stomach anyway, “I’ve never been in a relationship and I’m a fucking mess and I understand why you wouldn’t want to be with me, but please don’t leave me. I’ll do my homework, I’ll stop being mean, I won’t even talk if you don’t want me to, but please don’t stop talking to me.”
“Jungkook…” you trail in shock. “I’m here. Take a deep breath.” When he tries, it’s so shaky that it makes you tear up for the umpteenth time. You’re a mess with him. “In and out, love, in and out.” You would do it with him like an instructor, but it’s not possible when he’s squeezing your waist so tightly. It takes a few minutes for him to relax his grip and he looks up at you pitifully. “It’s okay,” you assure and pet his hair, “you’re okay.”
“I’m sorry. I love you.”
“I love you more.”
“I love you most,” he exhales. “I mean… I realized that night, that I only want to be with…”
“I get it,” you whisper to comfort him, knowing he has struggles with expressing himself, but he doesn’t stop. He wants to get it off his chest, and he quietly tells you, “I kissed another girl when I wanted to make you jealous, and then another to forget. I don’t want to do that, I mean I only want to kiss… you.”
You initiate it first by leaning down to peck his lips, and you don’t pull away too far. You peck him again, and then start kissing him. He’s never been this slow with you before, but the panic attack must have drained him. It’s the way that he doesn’t immediately turn it heated with the intent of taking it to the third base that warms your heart. He’s hesitant and taking his time, mindful of your reactions because you’re in control for once. You’re aware of how vulnerable he is being with you, and he conveys that with the gentle press of his lips.
He whimpers into the kiss, and it’s so quiet and mournful that you lean back but he chases after you. He doesn’t want to stop like you’d assumed, so you place your knees on either side of him and hover over his thighs. Even his hands are hesitant as he lightly sits you down on his lap by pulling your waist. You smile against him and with his submission, you swipe your tongue across his lip. He opens for you. You roll your tongue around his, and he eventually begins to suck on yours. There’s a pit in your stomach that confuses you; is it arousal? Flattery? You feel so special because you know he hasn’t been like this with anyone else; so powerless and passive.
It’s passionate. You inch your body a little closer to him and he grunts when you brush against his crotch before settling down. This isn’t about sexual needs, and you don’t treat it as such but your body has a mind of its own with its constant shuffling that turns him on. He doesn’t want to feel that way, but his hips have a subtle way of thrusting beneath you. His hums rumble and you kiss him harder, losing all your senses except for the warmth of his skin. You don’t notice him controlling the movement of your hips because he’s taking it slow, and you don’t need to know why he’s quietly moaning into you.
At least no one’s watching him now.
You pull back in surprise when he groans loudly, and you know he’s back to himself as his actions grow rough. You’re practically jumping when he grinds on you with his spit all over your mouth because of his explorative tongue. From past experience, you’ve figured out that Jungkook is more honest when he’s in the heat of the moment, so you inquire against his lips, “Why did you lie to me about Jimin?”
“That fucking freak,” he growls, “I needed a reason to get you to hate him. He didn’t stop you when it happened, did he?”
Still manipulative. “Will you do the same with Taehyung?”
“No, I,” his thrusts slow down, “I’m gonna, err…” He looks at you for help.
“You’re gonna be a good boy and talk things out with him, right?”
“Right,” he breathes, “talk.” He slams his lips against yours again, and it’s not long before he sighs at his climax with your cooperation. There’s a small patch growing on his pants through his underwear, and he cusses when he notices it. He pecks you one last time before hugging you and laying on the bed, cuddling you like a blanket. “Do you forgive me?”
You rest your head on his chest and feel his pulse to contemplate. He brings a hand up to your hair and starts running his fingers through it, unbothered by your lack of answer. “I’ll make it up to you,” he says. “Do you…” he clears his throat, “do you maybe want to have dinner with me?”
“Like a date?” you tease with a grin.
“Yes.”
“There’s my answer,” you lift your head to wink up at him. “But if you test me again, I’ll break your heart just as you did mine. Don’t worry though,” you whisper, “I’ll never leave you.”
" I'll love you better "
genre: lee minho x gn!reader, angst, (fluff at the end if you really squint)
extra notes: any feedback is very much appreciated. thank you for reading! i hope you enjoy.
you watched as your boyfriend, or now ex boyfriend, walked away from you. you felt angry, hurt and confused. very confused. you didn't know whether to run after him or simply go on your own way? in your defense, you hadn't done anything wrong
you pulled out you phone and called the one person who could help you right now.
calling... "JAMIE💕"
"jimin. we broke up." you sobbed into the phone.
"where are you? I'll come pick you up." concern laced your older sister's voice as you heard her keys jingle and her front door slam.
-
and that is how you found yourself, 2 days later, standing on lee minho's doorstep, trying to configure the right words to win him back.
he rolled his eyes, clearly frustrated over your inability to form words. "what is it, park?"
his hostile tone caused you to stumble over your words. "minho, i- i just wanted to-"
"come on, y/n spit it out." he huffed again. this was your first conflict with him and you didn't know what to do or how to act. you didn't know how to fix things.
"no, min. i haven't done anything wrong. I've been faithful, ive given you space, i-i've loved you... even when you were treating me like dirt. AND STILL?" your voice cracked as tears threatened to spill from your eyes. "still.. it isn't enough for you?"
"this is breaking my heart y/n. you can't keep pushing me away and coming back whenever you feel like it, trying to make me feel guilty about finally giving up?" he sighed.
"i don't push people aw-" you scoffed but he quickly interrupted.
"y/n, you do! remember when you failed your exams last month? i tried and tried to contact you, to make sure you had eaten. to make sure you were safe! AND YOU IGNORED ME. you left the city for 5 whole days. how do you think i felt? when im showing up at your house, only for your neighbour to tell me she hadn't seen you since a week prior?" you dropped your eyes to the ground, knowing that minho was being generous by only bringing up one of many occasions.
"i never meant to hurt you though min, i just can't-"
"thats the thing y/n. you never mean to do anything but you do it anyway. And you do it time and time again. im tired y/n. all I've ever wanted was for you to trust me, for you to love me-"
"i do love you, minho."
"no y/n. to really love me. to show me that you love me. but it's too late now, so just forget it. just like you forget everything else."
"no, please. please don't do this! I'll love you better. I'll be better! we can't... this- this can't be the end." you leaned against the wall, trembling as you sobbed. you felt as if a bus had mercilessly run you over.
"i'm sorry y/n but you keep hurting me, and that's— that's bullshit. you shouldn't do that to me, you should be loving me, taking care of me. But... you can't, and you never will. So it's over." his heart ached, watching you cry but he genuinely couldn't do this anymore. he was so mentally and physically drained by this relationship. there was nothing more you guys could do to save it. the bus that had run you over had reversed and gone over you three times again, just to make sure you were really feeling the effects of his words.
"i'm sorry too minho. im so so sorry. i wish- i really wish i could be the one for you. i love you more than words could ever tell." you stood up, taking one last look at him. one last look at his messy brown locks that you used to run your fingers through while he laid on your chest. one last look at his beautiful brown eyes, that you would get lost in ever so often. one last glance at his plump pink lips, the ones that you would never kiss again. "so this is it?" you gave him watery smile.
"maybe we'll be together in another lifetime." he sniffled. " i love you."
"i love you too minnie." you sighed as he placed his hands on your waist, leaning down for one last kiss.
"goodbye, y/n." and that was the last you saw of lee minho, since you had spent the last 3 months cooped up in your small studio apartment, not letting your sister in or any of your friends. why? because thats what you do best. you push people away.
yours and minho's relationship was nowhere near perfect, nowhere near healthy but it was what you thought you needed.
Why do you love me | Kim Minnie x fem! reader
Warning: swearing, alcohol usage, mentions of cigarettes, shooting, mentions of blood, violence
Genre: angst, arranged marriage, Mafia AU
Word count: ~ 4,993
A/N: i wrote this one after listenning to Minnie’s cover of ‘why do you love me’ and i’m kind of proud of it, i hope you guys will enjoy it too
A tall pile of paperwork kept you covered from coworkers’ curious eyes.
It’s been only a few days since you started working at your father’s company, yet you already knew you weren’t welcome there. Jealous stares and whispers behind your back were a part of your new routine.
Normally, it was a long process to take up a job in one of the biggest corporations on the continent.
You got it right away and that’s why people didn’t like you.
They thought of you as a spoiled daddy’s little girl, when in reality you did graduate from university with amazing grades.
If it wasn’t for your dad being a CEO, you probably wouldn’t have any chances to start your career in a such big company. Nevertheless, you felt confident with your abilities, as working for your father was something you’ve been preparing to do since you can remember.
And it wasn’t like you had a choice.
Sighing, you got up from your sit, after long hours of calculating. The clock on your phone said it was almost 8 PM, time to finish your shift and go home.
Heading alone through almost empty streets of your home city, made you reflect on how this place has changed in the last few years. From your childhood memories, you remember it as a sunny and calm zone, friendly to everyone. Now it was the exact opposite, as the mafia grew stronger earning lots of power in the city. It felt dangerous to move around at night.
You never knew, where and when another conflict or shooting would strike.
Although, you kind of got used to it. Otherwise you wouldn’t be able to normally function and you wanted to live. Even if you had no real control over your life and were always dependent on your parents’ decisions, you wanted to experience as much as you could.
Fastening your pace, you tried your best not to think too much about how obnoxious your current surrounding was.Back of an old store in a dark alley, fog around making everything seem even more scary.
“Hey there, Baby Doll.” You jumped at a sudden, raspy voice.
A young, well-built man with platinum hair appeared from behind the corner. Eyeing you shamelessly from head to toe, he slowly walked closer, causing you to take a step back. Your stomach dropped, noticing his black leather jacket with a scorpion printed on left chest.
He was a mafia member.
Your heart stopped, as he kept approaching you. You had nothing to defend yourself with and certainly no chance to win against a way stronger male.
“Wanna have some fun tonight?” He whispered into your ear, once your back hit the brick wall.
There was no escape.
“Please, leave me alone.” You felt your body shaking in fear at his breath hitting your lips.
Closing your eyes in disgust at the feeling of his fingers touching your cheek. Strong scent of cigarettes and alcohol hit your nose trills, making you want to throw up.
You were praying that someone, anyone was there to save you.
“Oh baby, don’t be so stiff. You’ll like it, I promise.” You shuddered at his low tone, tears filling your eyes, as you glanced at the night sky.
You really were helpless.
“She said no.”
Both your heads snapped in direction of a stern voice. Your eyes widened seeing your old friend from middle school.
Nicha Yontararak.
Dark hair and bangs were framing her serious face. Big brown eyes focused on the man, holding you. Her aura was enough for you to feel relieved.
“Leave her alone, BamBam.” She also had a scorpion on her jacket.
“Why are you doing this, Minnie? What’s the problem with me having a lady?” So called BamBam chuckled, turning to his mafia member.
Your breathing calmed down a little, your body still was tense.
“You know damn well Soyeon’s opinion on it.”
You looked between them, biting your lip in anticipation. They were having a conversation with their eyes. Finally BamBam nodded with gritted teeth.
“Whatever.” He quickly left, not even glancing at you.
The second he was gone, you exhaled deeply, legs still shaking in shock.
“Thank you, Nicha.” You met her blank eyes.
“It’s Minnie, for you.” She replied coldly, you couldn’t really read her expression.
“Right.” You looked down, awkwardly.
Knowing very well, that your savior probably wished to be anywhere else right now, you wordlessly continued your way home, still trembling.
There was a time when Nicha and you were really close. You were each other’s go to person at some point.
It was after Nicha helped you, when you tripped over your own feet at lunch becoming a mockery of the whole school. She was the only one who didn’t laugh and actually comforted you. Since then you were inseparable, but for some reason your parents didn’t like her.
Your only friend.
They were claiming that Nicha was a bad influence, always dismissing your feelings. Few weeks later, your mother even called her best friends over, so you could make some ‘true friendships’ as she called it.
Lia and Yuna were nice to you, but whenever Nicha was around, it all felt weird. There was always this tension, showing how different they were.
It was only a matter of time when your friendship with Nicha would end.
Of course both of you didn’t want it, but things got even more complicated. She was struggling with some family issues, she was always mysterious about. Eventually she joined the Scorpions Mafia, officially parting your ways.
That’s how you found yourselves in the current situation. You working for your dad, with no freedom or real friends.
Nicha, or rather Minnie, breaking the law and risking her life everyday.
~
For the next few days, work kept you occupied from thinking about that traumatic night. You’d take extra shifts, only so that you weren’t alone with your brain. You could still sometimes feel BamBam’s piercing gaze on you or his fingers on your cheek, hear his husky voice.
Your only wish was to never be in a situation like that. Ever again.
This time, the sun was still shining, as you were leaving work. Apparently you used all your extra shifts already. Equipped with pepper spray, you felt a bit calmer while walking home on your own.
There were only like 10 minutes left to your destination, when all of the sudden you heard some people arguing and screaming.
Then a gunshot.
You started to sweat, with shaking hands you pulled your phone out to call the police. At the same time, you knew you had to hide, so quickly ran to the nearest, empty alley.
But it wasn’t so empty.
There were six people already there. Three of them in black leather jackets that you knew too well by now. The other three had dark red clothes. You had no idea who these guys were, but certainly they were the cause of chaos.
This couldn’t be happening, you thought, when you saw a man in red pointing the gun at one of the Scorpion Mafia member.
With your back pinned against the wall, you try to calm down your breathing. Your heartbeat ringing in your ears. You bit your lip so hard not to make a sound, tasting iron taste of blood.
Moments later siren could be heard as well. They never had an easy job in this city.
You heard mafia members yelling something to each other, before everyone ran away in another direction. Fast footsteps approached you, almost giving you a heart attack until you saw a pair of certain brown eyes again, staring at you in shock.
Police cars were getting closer, sirens louder every second. Minnie grabbed your hand and without any words, sprinted away pulling you with her.
Head empty, you were moving as fast as you could to match her pace. She knew where she was heading. After some time you both stopped, breathless two blocks from your house.
“That was close.” For the first time in years you heard Minnie’s normal voice. “What were you doing there, anyways?”
You looked at her stunned, still catching your breath.
“I was the one who called the police.” You wished you haven’t said these words, the second they came out.
“Fuck. Seriously? We were so close to finally get that fucking deal done.” She ran a hand through her hair, as her jaw clenched.
You looked down, almost flinching at her tone. But she wouldn’t hurt you, right?
There was a minute of silence, when you took a look at her features.
Minnie looked like she was thinking hard. With furrowed eyebrows and bitten lip, her eyes met yours.
“Come on, I’ll walk you home.” She simply said, surprising you.
Minnie didn’t even wait for you to follow her, she was already few steps ahead moving in the direction to your home.
The good question was, how did she even know where you lived?
Although, in that moment you were still too shaken up to think rationally. Catching up to her, you were walking in silence. Both of you consumed in completely different trains of thoughts.
“Stay away from trouble, will you?” Minnie voiced, when you two made it to your doorstep.
“The same goes to you.” You mumbled with a frown, watching her figure already leaving.
You felt like something inside of you was sinking. Minnie didn’t deserve to have such harsh life. She was probably already used to running away from police and participating in shootings.
You didn’t even want to imagine what else she must have been through.
You were so worried.
For the next two weeks, you didn’t really feel like yourself. You kept wondering how Minnie was doing. Was she safe? Alive? Was she okay?
Sighing heavily, you had no idea, why you kept thinking about her. Yes, you were close at some point, but it was so long ago. You shouldn’t care so much about that Thai woman, especially since all you seemed to do was to piss her off.
Making up your mind, you left the company, with an unusual for you, destination.
Mafia’s club.
You’ve never been to these dangerous areas before, always avoiding them like a plague. But you had to make sure she was okay.
Strong smell of alcohol and cigarettes greeted you right away. Along with loud music and flashing lights, every sense of yours was targeted. Looking around the place, you immediately found it hideous. Clenching your jaw, you made your way through the sea of black leather jackets, heading to the bar.
“Hi, do you maybe know where Minnie is?”
At your straightforward question, the tall, brown haired woman behind the bar eyed you suspiciously, before a corner of her mouth raised, as if she knew you.
“You want me to call her?” She raised an eyebrow, seeing you sit down on a bar stool.
You only nodded firmly at her words, not trusting your voice, with how loud everything around was.
Few minutes passed and when you thought you couldn’t stand being there anymore, you noticed Minnie approaching you. Dressed in her usual jacket and skinny jeans. A bored look on her face, but she still managed to look incredibly attractive.
“What are you doing here?” She took a sit next to you, ordering herself a drink.
Seeing, how Minnie didn’t even glance at you, felt like a knife cutting right through your heart. Your mouth felt dry, you didn’t know how to respond.
“I was worried.” You eventually replied in a small voice.
It was surprising, that Minnie even heard you. She turned her head to meet your eyes. You wished to be able to read her feelings, but you had no idea.
“Why?” At her intense gaze, you felt your whole body getting hot. Before you could answer, Minnie continued. “Don’t be.” She said in a harsh voice, making you shiver. “And don’t come here again.”
Your face dropped. While you still were processing her words, she was already out of sight.
How could she? Literally, who did she think she was?
An awful criminal, who actually had audacity to talk to you like that. You scoffed, rage filling you inside.
And to think, that she had been the only thing on your mind for the past two weeks. Unbelievable.
~
Climbing the last three stairs of your doorstep, you sighed totally exhausted. Your week seemed to never end, with the enormous amount of work. You bent down to get the key from underneath the rug, feeling all your muscles aching.
When your hand was met with nothing, except for the ground, you frowned.
Ever since you were little, you’d always leave it under the rug. Maybe your parents were stopping by, you thought to calm yourself down.
But the lights inside were off.
Gulping, you reached for the doorknob with a shaky hand. Mentally counting to three, you opened the door. Your feet slowly wandered through the hall. Trying not to make any sound, you scanned the surrounding carefully.
Then you saw her, sitting by the kitchen island.
You felt yourself relaxing a little, fear turning now to anger.
“What the hell are you doing here?” With a quick switch, you turned on the lights.
“Oh, you’re home.” Minnie chuckled, her black eye getting your attention immediately.
“How did you even get in?” You asked both stunned and annoyed with her behavior, only now sensing the smell of alcohol coming from her.
Oh boy, she won’t do anything dumb, right?
“You still holding the keys under the rug?” Minnie mumbled, smiling a little, while holding up your keys.
Your eyes narrowed at the object she held. Scoffing, you snatched it away, kind of not believing that she’d remember such a detail from your childhood.
With the force of the movement of your hand, Minnie stumbled slightly.
“What happened?” You asked, face softening at another woman.
Pointing to your eye, when she didn’t understand your question, you got some frozen peas from the fridge.
“Oh, that.” Minnie flinched, when you gently put the cold bag of food on her eye. “Just a disagreement with a friend.”
You rolled your eyes, before sitting down next to her. Watching her slightly struggling to hold a bag on her cheek, you felt so lost.
Why were you so concerned about this woman? Why did she still mean something to you, despite hurting your feelings all the time? Why were you helping her right now, instead of kicking her out of your own house?
That was something you couldn’t explain, even to yourself.
“Don’t look at me like that.” Thai woman softly said, her one visible eye shining with something.
“Like what?” You asked tired of this game, or whatever it was between you two.
“Like I matter to you.”
The sadness in her voice broke your heart, you didn’t know how to react. Especially with the lump forming in your throat.
“Look, I owe you an apology.” Minnie put down the peas to take a hold of your hands, her skin cold and knuckles were covered with bruises. “I’m so sorry for being an asshole, when you’re the only person, actually showing that they’re care about me. About Nicha, not Minnie. I’m just really sorry.”
Your eyes flickered between her ones filled with honesty and sadness. She’s never been this vulnerable with you. It was the first time, she wasn’t afraid to show her true feelings.
“You’re not saying all of that, only because you’re drunk, are you?” Hearing your own voice break, you sniffled as tears blurred your vision.
“No, Y/N.” Minnie leaned closer, resting her forehead on yours. “I’m truly sorry about everything I’ve said and done. I know, I don’t deserve you, but…”
“But what?” She cupped your face, gently wiping the tears away, as if she was holding the most expensive thing in the world.
You stared at her features, analyzing every detail of her face. Long, black bangs almost poking her eyes, bruising skin below her right eyebrow and lips slightly parted, as her eyes were looking at you with so much intensity. You felt like going crazy.
The moment she crushed your lips together, you knew you were home.
You knew she was your home.
Moaning at her passionate kiss, you let her tongue slip into your mouth to explore everything in her reach.
“You’re drunk.” You pulled out breathless.
“We both know it doesn’t change anything.” Nicha’s honest voice made your heart swell, her breath tickling your skin.
It was you, who connected your lips this time. Deep and heated kiss made your head spin, you felt like flying, if it wasn’t for Minnie’s strong, yet gentle hold.
She pulled you up and on the kitchen island in a smooth move, only to get in between your legs seconds later.
Her lips traveled down to your chin and neck sucking and kissing wherever she had the access to. It was too hot to breathe, you gasped feeling her teeth sink in your sensitive skin.
It was only one of the many more sounds you made that long, passionate night.
~
The streets were illuminated by the city lamps, black sky above you, as you found yourself on your way home, after another long day of work. Hugging your coat closer, you fastened your pace, shivering at the cold air hitting you from everywhere.
All of the sudden, you heard heavy steps behind you. Turning your head around, you saw a posture of a man wearing a red jacket. It was only the two of you in that alley. This screamed trouble.
Pulling out your phone, you quickly dialed Minnie’s number, walking even faster now.
The man kept following you.
“Hello?” She picked up almost immediately, it wasn’t often that you called anyways.
“I think someone’s following me. I’m approaching the river right now.” Your voice shaky, as you tried to stay as quiet as possible.
“I’m on my way.” She said sternly, before hanging up.
You exhaled, looking back again. Luckily, the man kept his distance, but it was obvious, that you were his target. He’d look away whenever you glanced at him.
Trying to calm down your uneven breathing, you continued walking, hoping that Minnie won’t take too long. Without her, it’d be over for you.
Biting your lip, you were in such a hurry not even noticing the person you bumped into. You gasped looking up and meeting those brown eyes.
Minnie gulped, eyeing the guy behind you, her arms automatically went to your waist protectively.
“What’s your problem, man?” Chills ran down your spine at her sharp voice.
“Pretty sure, it’s none of your business.” You watched the unidentified man snap back, before coming closer.
It happened so fast.
Minnie pushed you to the side, seconds before he threw a punch, that she managed to dodge. You heard him groan, as Minnie’s fist connected to his ribs and then face. You were kind of surprised to see her winning, because of her smaller figure.
This woman kept surprising you.
It was all going good, until you saw the guy pulling something silver out from his pocket.
Minnie gasped for air, when the knife pierced through her stomach.
You let out a high pitched scream, seeing her bent down in pain, before kicking that man in crotch with all the strength she had left. He collapsed to the ground with a moan.
“M-Minnie, are you okay?” Once by her side, you stuttered.
Her face twisted in pain, as her hand pressed down on the wound.
“Come here.” You put her free hand on your shoulders to help her walk, guiding her home.
She wasn’t heavy, so you didn’t struggle that much, but in that state, it was hard for her to keep up with you.
Blood was rushing wildly through your veins, you tried your best not to think of worst scenarios. Minnie can’t die. You can’t loose her. Especially not like that, not because of you.
Glancing behind from time to time, you made sure no one else was following you.
“Minnie, talk to me please.” You knew, she probably shouldn’t, but you had to know she was holding in there.
“I’m fine.” She mumbled weakly, between irregular breaths.
“Just a little longer.” You announced, entering your neighborhood. “Stay with me.”
“Will do.” She whispered, flinching slightly.
Hearing her groan loudly, once you were finally inside your house, you quickly went to the bathroom to get the first aid kit. When you came back, she had pulled her shirt up, examining the cut underneath her rib on the couch.
You thanked the universe, seeing it wasn’t deep. But still needed to be taken care of.
You poured some hydrogen dioxide on it, causing Minnie to close her eyes and hiss in pain.
“It’s okay, I’m here.” You hushed her softly.
Then, you gently wiped the blood off with a towel, before bandaging it. You felt Minnie’s burning gaze on you all the time.
“Is it alright? Not too tight?” You asked, meeting her eyes.
“It’s good, thanks.”
Seeing the frown on her face, you wanted to comfort her, to show how grateful you were. You leaned in, leaving a chaste kiss on the lips. Feeling her slowly respond to it, memories from that night filled your head. You wanted more. You needed to feel Minnie again. Her touch and taste, sense of security, that only she was able of providing you.
Getting lost in your thoughts, you put more pressure into the kiss, tilting your head to deepen it.
“Y/N.” Minnie murmured, before pulling out with a troubled expression, avoiding your eyes. “Stop it.”
You froze hearing her quiet, but serious voice.
“What’s wrong?”
“Everything is.” She lets out unexpectedly, after a moment of silence, causing you to frown. “But you don’t get it, do you? With life as easy as yours, everything makes sense, right? Your daddy’s always there to get you whatever you want. Hell, he even got you a job and this whole fucking house.”
Your heart dropped, hearing such harsh words from someone who, you thought would understand you.
“Do you know what it’s like out there?” Minnie pointed to the front door. “Every day is a battle. You wake up, not knowing if you’ll stay alive. Not knowing where or when you’ll get attacked. But you’ve never had to worry about it, right? Your only concern is probably what nails to get done next time.”
Tears in your eyes didn’t stop her passionate monologue on how simple and perfect your life was. You hated every word coming out from Minnie’s mouth. How could she be so selfish?
Especially, after getting intimate? You thought, it meant something to her too, anything. Turns out, you were wrong.
“Leave.” You didn’t want to see her anymore. If the two of you were so different, then what was the point of her being there?
“Just go.”
At your blank tone, she only nodded to herself, before walking out the door.
~
It was 4 AM, two weeks later, when Minnie was sprinting through the streets with cops chasing her. The cut on her rib long forgotten, she ran to the only place she could think of in the heat of the moment.
Your house.
She still hasn’t talked to you since that argument, but she still trusted, that she could count on you. Deep down, Minnie knew you cared for her, as much as she did for you. She loved you. It took her long time to accept it, but she did. With her whole heart and everything she had left.
Hearing screams and yells behind her, she sped up, arriving on your street. With deep breaths, she reached under your rug to get the key. Blood roaring in her left ear, she put it in the door lock.
Only to find out, that you changed it.
How could you do this to her?
“Fuck.” Her head rested on cold surface for a moment, before she ran away further, seeing the police approaching.
Ironically, Minnie found herself on your porch few days later again, waiting for you to come back from work. She needed to talk to you, to clear things out. Your messy relationship was eating her alive, keeping her up at night and she had enough stress in her life already.
She was sitting on the stairs, when you arrived looking paler than usual and with bags under your eyes. It seemed like you lost some weight as well.
“What do you want?” Minnie got up at your tired voice.
“We need to talk.” She tried to sound gentle.
“There’s nothing to talk about, you made it very clear last time.” Ignoring her, you walked to the door, unlocking it.
“Y/N, please. I’m sorry, really. Let’s just talk.” You couldn’t see her pained expression, your back was still facing her.
“Stop saying you’re sorry, when you’re not. Stop apologizing to me, you don’t owe me anything. We don’t work, anyways.” Turning around, you let your angered thoughts, that you’ve been bottling inside for the last weeks, out.
It was a mistake though, the second your eyes met Minnie’s, you felt all these emotions attacking you again.
“You’re right. We’re too different.” You watched her look down with a gulp. “And this is never going to work”
She pointed between you two with her hand, her voice small as ever.
“Exactly, it makes no sense.” You crossed your arms, also glancing down.
“Good, we’re finally agreeing on something.” Facing Minnie again, she was only few inches apart. You didn’t even notice when she stepped closer.
A battle was creating in your head. Your heart and mind against each other. You knew you were losing, when she was looking at you like that.
Like you mattered to her.
Minnie’s lips crashed against yours like a thunder, her arms wandered to your waist, intuitively, pulling you closer. Her body was cold, but with the passion she had, you were burning in minutes. Your arms connected behind her neck, hugging her even closer, if possible.
She pushed you gently inwards, never parting the kiss. You felt tears stinging your eyes, when Minnie picked you up, letting you wrap your legs around her.
You knew, it was going to be your last night together.
One last night, before you’ll let her go.
~
Taking a deep breath, you scanned your reflection in the mirror. Today was the day, you thought. A new chapter of your life was beginning today, as your dad announced you’ll be getting married soon. Your fiancé was the son of the CEO at the befriended company. He was a nice guy, as your mom said, trying to cheer you up.
It wasn’t like you were still holding on to Minnie, you knew you had to move on, so you were actually glad there was someone new entering your life.
Your heart still ached for her. It probably always will, but with small steps you were hoping to heal eventually.
“Hi, my name is Jaehyun.” He said with a charming smile, standing on your porch.
He was handsome, well mannered and kind, educated to be the future CEO after all. His curious eyes analyzed your face.
What else would you possibly want in a man?
“Hey, I’m Y/N.” You smiled slightly, convincing yourself to give it a try.
Little did you know, a certain woman in a black leather jacket with a pained expression written all over her features, was watching you the whole time.
