all of these have some kind of explicit content. PLEASE read tags. i'm not responsible for you reading something you don't like because you overlooked a tag.
(in order of ship [dramione, nottpott, jegulus, and wolfstar] and then word count. new additions are categorized with an asterisk.)
Dramione
your lonely calls to me - senlinyu (3,085)
“Less than a year post-war, trainee healer Hermione Granger visits Azkaban to perform volunteer medical check-ups and finds something she isn't intended to see, and has no choice but to do something about it.”
Break the Ward - thisisnotadance (6,499)
“So, you like this skirt then? She asked with a smirk. “They should throw me in Azkaban for the things I want to do to you in that skirt.”
The Wizard from A.U.R.O.R. - Wanderingfair (6,836)
“OR The one where Hermione asks a simple favour as she and Draco confront their unresolved feelings for each other immediately before an important mission.”
The Seduction - senlinyu (11,686)
“Hermione’s expression grew indignant but Draco ignored it and pressed on. “I am trying to seduce you,” he said, staring her straight in the eye. Her indignation faded as her mouth dropped open and her eyes slowly grew round.”
Season Pass (To This Ass) - mightbewriting (16,390)
“[In which Hermione dumps a Quidditch fan and dates a Quidditch player instead. Spite is a beautiful motivator.]”
Ardent Bonds - Musyc (16,741)
“Maybe it was wrong to think about this, maybe it was horrible to even consider, but if Draco Malfoy liked to dominate, she couldn't stop herself from picturing it. Picturing him.”
Sated Thirst - Notawriter_17 (17,415)
“A story told in three parts. Ron. Theo. Draco. Hermione's journey into the world of BDSM and sexual enlightenment.”
Seven Times Seven - steely (21,589)
“Hermione had expected some level of resistance from Draco at her incarceration, but not to this extreme. He was unraveling himself while desperately trying to keep her together.”
* The Tie that Binds - EvergreenTuesdays (22,526)
"Narcissa Malfoy struck a bargain with Albus Dumbledore before he died—that at an unspecified pivotal moment, she would turn the tide of the war, ensuring Voldemort’s downfall. In exchange, her son Draco would be married to the Golden Girl immediately following the war, guaranteeing her family’s return to grace." (READ TAGS!)
Five Months Until Summer - allofthelights11 (27,464)
“She's tried three times over holiday break and it hasn't worked out. Now she has a little more than five months until summer when she can try again.”
Ten Out of Ten - morriganmercy (61,559
“In which Hermione is determined to find a loophole to free her from a forced marriage with Draco Malfoy. But with only two weeks until they are legally required to consummate, it would be irresponsible not to prepare for every contingency.”
Lose Control - madrose_writing (70,082)
“In Elysium, that girl behind the white mask, begging for permission to come undone could be the Golden Girl. That man behind the black mask making her beg could be the Boy Who Had No Choice. In Elysium, anonymity is key. If you could be anyone, who would you be?”
Private Tutor - allofthelights11 (77,407)
“That time Hermione offered to give Draco Malfoy some much-needed sexual experience.”
Wait and Hope - mightbewriting (94,946)
“[In which Hermione loses the last six year's worth of her memories, including the entirety of her relationship and marriage to Draco.]”
A Season for Setting Fires - mightbewriting (95,639)
“[In which a soulmate bond appears while Hermione is tortured at Malfoy Manor. Canon divergent from that moment onward.]”
Between Certifiable and Bliss - HeyJude19 (97,712)
“In the ensuing years, he did not need to constantly remember that blissful, impossible dream. He further did not need Potter bursting into his mostly turned-around life to embroil him in a conspiracy at Azkaban. And he definitely did not need to embark on a clandestine investigation into prisoner mistreatment with Hermione Granger.”
* FAILSAFE - Hypothetically (99,476)
"Professor McGonagall didn’t know that Hogwarts had a Failsafe. The Spell she used to protect the students triggered the castle to protect itself. It’s been creating labyrinths. Some of the loved ones of the missing ventured in, never to be seen again. It’s like they never left. Draco Lucius Malfoy, the verdict alteration comes with a stipulation that you must return for the rehabilitation of Hogwarts."
The Injury of Finally Knowing You - VanillaSage (123,751)
“10 years ago, tucked away in a secret room during their Eighth Year at Hogwarts, Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy fell in love. 10 years later, the echoes of how that young love burned down still haunt them when, on the day of her divorce, Hermione stumbles upon her old flame once again.”
Meet Me In Dreamland - sinflower81 (126,169)
“A Post-Hogwarts fic in which Hermione and Draco fuck (a lot) without realizing it. Alternating POVs, kinky combos, and a dramatic, spice-driven plot.”
Rosemary for Remembrance - rubber_soul02 (167,789)
“A post-war, slow-burn, enemies to lovers Dramione story about healing, redemption, and second chances. Featuring a full cast of your favourite snarky Slytherins.”
Draco Malfoy and the Mortifying Ordeal of Being in Loveisthisselfcare (199,548)
“Hermione straddles the Muggle and Magical worlds as a medical researcher and Healer about to make a big discovery. Draco is an Auror assigned to protect her from forces unknown – to both of their displeasure.”
Bring Him To His Knees - Musyc (246,526)
“Draco is on the case of a murderer, but to investigate, he needs a fake relationship - and a kink club play partner. When Hermione volunteers to take the role, both do their best to maintain the lie without letting each other know the truth: neither of them are acting.”
A Game of High Stakes - In_Dreaming (263,110)
“In theory, the task is simple: kill Draco Malfoy. In practice, putting a curse through the Dark Lord's favoured lieutenant will take everything Hermione has―especially since he's trying to kill her, too. Even more so when the lines between them start to blur. Sometimes, the only way out is through.”
Manacled - senlinyu (370,515)
“Harry Potter is dead. In the aftermath of the war, in order to strengthen the might of the magical world, Voldemort enacts a repopulation effort. Hermione Granger has an Order secret, lost but hidden in her mind, so she is sent as an enslaved surrogate to the High Reeve until her mind can be cracked.”
NottPott
Chaperones - RoseHarperMaxwell (5,561)
“I'm going to court Granger," Draco said around a mouthful of toothpaste. He spat into their sink and rinsed his mouth, leaning against the doorframe with a casual air that belied the enormity of such a statement. "We need you to be our chaperone." Theo closed his astronomy textbook, using a thumb to hold his place. "I'm sorry, what?” Draco nodded, as though he'd expected disbelief. "Courting Granger. That's something I'm doing now."
No Expectations - In_Dreams (6,963)
“To avoid attending Hermione's promotion dinner solo after a breakup, Harry agrees to a blind date for appearances only. But his resolve crumbles when his arranged date is the disdainfully gorgeous Theo Nott.”
Jegulus
Taking Care - Quietlemonhush (5,084)
“James learns lessons about how to love Regulus.”
The First Person You Loved - Anonymous (8,539)
“Regulus shows up at the Potters' house bleeding and hurt, which reveals something about James' relationship with him to Sirius.”
As if Through Water - third_crow (8,611)
“Or, Regulus learns he and James have more in common than he thought”
* pretty as a peach, bruised like one too - completefailure (29,976)
"From the moment Lord Voldemort had laid eyes upon a stiff backed and scared Regulus, he had been doomed. Sometimes the only way out is through." (READ TAGS!)
* definition of insanity - bizarrestars (54,800)
"(Or, the one where Regulus flirts a little too close to the sun and loves getting burned.)"
The Mystery of Pears - sonwar (89,958)
“In the cave, Regulus doesn’t beg for it to stop. He begs not be left behind, alone. Perhaps this is why, when Kreacher gives one last look over his shoulder and sees terrible, pale hands reaching for his master, he appears in a flash at Regulus’ side, clutches him by the elbow, and Apparates them both out of the cave, directly disobeying his master’s last order.”
Pathological People Pleaser - rweoutofthewoods (114,435)
“(OR: all it takes is a summer-long holiday in Italy, James Potter's teetering mental stability, a secret relationship, friends with benefits, Marlene’s secret, and enough stupidity and insecurity to go around for everything to come crashing down around them.)”
* To the boy who… - ibbsterkisster (238,799)
"Or; the one where Regulus gets forced out of hiding to face the world, make the right but painful decisions, and fights with more than just one Dark Lord." (READ TAGS!)
* chew me up, but don’t spit me out - damagecontrol (261,000)
"Or, this is a story about identity, addiction, self-expression, and love in all of the varying shapes they can take."
Wolfstar
* The Ink Around Our Scars - Written_Willis (10,876)
"Sirius is a tattoo artist that specializes in clients with scarring. In walks Remus Lupin and his damn eyes and flirty smirk causing Sirius to forget his own name. Add in some daddy Regulus and James, Barty and Evan being Barty and Evan, a bit of toddler Harry, and a touch of misunderstanding."
* Underglass - Anonymous (24,496)
"King of the low-down, lord of mud and everything beneath the surface—Remus Lupin is the king of sordid exchanges happening under the Death Eaters’ noses. Nobody has ever been able to make a feint at him and survive to tell the tale. But when an intruder drops in, unexpected and wholly disarming, everything tilts just so on its axis and might tumble the lot of it to ash."
that’s the art of getting by - sarewolf (40,459)
“What do you want me to do?” Remus says, tiredly. All he wants is to curl up on his bed. Smoke a pack of cigarettes. Get drunk. He can’t stop looking at Harry. “Remus...” Dumbledore is gentle. Remus hates when he has that tone. Hates that he knows it will hurt. “There is no one else left.” A bitter laugh escapes him. “So you’ll curse the poor thing with a werewolf for a guardian?”
* At The Healing Edge of Broken - heartofspells (191,322)
"Sirius is a pro football star who finds himself injured. Through a recommendation from Lily, Remus becomes his physiotherapist. Or: Sirius is flying high on success until it all crashes down around him, but he realizes that maybe crashing doesn't always mean the end to everything. Someone's there to throw him a life preserver. He only needs to open his eyes to find it." (READ TAGS!)

Hello I've got a friend who thought they kff but are now thinking they might be fictionkin of the "identifying partially" type and I was wondering if you had some good resources? (They didn't know anything about fictionkin prev to this revelation. It kinda came out because I thought one of their friends were fictionkin but they were kff but nonmaliciously which sounds like an oxymoron but its more ignorance than anything else and they have no issues with fictionkin) I'm kinda struggling on what to send them to educate them further on fictionkin expierences in order to help them figure themselves out.
I actually answered a similar question asking for fictionkin resources a month ago-- I'm going to link what I had there to here, but I also want you to know that decent, beginner-friendly fictionkin resources can be kind of hard to come by. If your friend is outside the alterhuman sphere entirely, it might be good to introduce them to otherkin overall first, and then lean into fictionkin-specific experiences? Regardless, here you go:
A Timeline of the Fictionkin Community by House of Chimeras (liongoatsnake) - A PDF timeline of events that have taken place within or related directly to the fictionkin community. Spans from 1979 to the start of 2021.
FromFiction’s Fictionkin FAQ by FromFiction - An FAQ on fictionkin and fictionkin experiences.
Fictionkin.org - Connected to the FromFiction Tumblr, this is a metaphysical fictionkin resource website.
Alterhuman Archive’s Fictionfolk Category - A collection of over a hundred different works by and about fictionfolk. YMMV.
Explanation of Fictionkinity by Luteia (shadowfae) - A Tumblr post by Luteia explaining fictionkinity.
I’m Ben, But Call Me Poppy by Poppy (aestherians) - Poppy explores raer personal fictionkinity and introduces the reader to the reader to the fictionkind experience in general.
Living with a “Problematic” Fictional Identity (And Where to Go from Here) by Goratrix (goratrix-betrayed) - A video lecture followed by questions and discussion about navigating through life with a “problematic” fictotype or as a “problematic” fictive. How to find community, how to cope, what responsibilities we may or may not have, what morality means for us and where the line between choices “then” and choices “now” lies. Panel script available here on Goratrix’s Tumblr.
Why Using the Term Fictionkin Should be a Power Move, Not your Every Day Label by Daski (indornaga) - A Tumblr post in which Daski encourages readers to rethink about how they use the term fictionkin for themselves.
Filling in the Blanks, Part 1: Questioning: Fanworks, Fan Theories, and Filling in the Gaps by Hange - A Tumblr post by Ranthimi discussing canon and its importance (or lack thereof) to fictionkin identities.
Filling In The Blanks, Part 2: The Worlds Are Bigger Than You Think by Hange - A Tumblr post by Hange discussing how and why looking at multiple sources can be beneficial when trying to understand the world a fictionkin identity originated from.
A Different Approach to Fictionkin by Hange - A Tumblr post that explores the idea of viewing fiction as a form of mythology. Kind of part 2.5 to the Filling In The Blanks series.
Filling in the Blanks, Part 3: Additional Permutations to the idea of “Being Fictional” by Hange - A short Tumblr essay on using alternative, external, “noncanon” frameworks for fictionkin identity.
There's also the Fictionkind Dreamwidth, which is a group for fictionfolk to post essays, blog posts, thoughts, fiction, and to comment on one another's work; it's a private community to keep out trolls, but I'd really highly recommend it.
Followers, if you have any further recs, please feel free to drop them in a reblog for this anon!

Hiya! I'm sure you're already aware, but since your DCMK gift giver dropped out, your gift giver has been switched to me :D How are you doing today?
I have to say, all the platonic relationships you listed out on your form really called to my heart (like the sakura trio, detective boys, mouri family unit, etc etc)! All of those characters are super near and dear to me, and I love seeing them interact ^_^ I noticed you seemed to especially like Vermouth as well--- what do you think of her character? I just think she's like, really cool whenever she appears on screen hehe
Also, I just saw your recent post about the new spy x family chapter--- I'm glad that other people were getting major Detective Conan vibes too, it was so cute! I'm not sure if you're interested in detco fanfiction, but it really reminded me of this really good SpyFam x Detco crossover fic on AO3 called 'Forged', by HikariAA. If Anya was a detective, murder cases would get solved much quicker, wouldn't they?
(In addition, forgive me for snooping through your blog, but I just wanted to ask about how your darling dog is doing now--- the one you mentioned in your other DCMK anon ask. You don't have to answer, of course! Regardless, all the best wishes to you and her.)
Hope you have a great day, and I'm looking forward to working on your gift ^_^ !
OH MY GOSH, HI!!!
Yes, I've been notified of the change, and thus welcome thee, with great enthusiasm! Thank you so much for accepting to be my gift giver so late in the event. *bows*
Thank you, I'm doing well today so far. A bit apprehensive, since I have an interview today, but I'll try to make the most of it. And once I get home I hope to get a few things done that I've been meaning to (but got distracted from gkjnfjkbn). And let me throw back the question at you: how are you doing yourself, lovely? Also, I would like to hear more about what you like about DCMK! Pehaps you could tell me something that you cherish a lot yet feel you don't see enough appreciation for?
A PLATONIC RELATIONSHIP ENTHUSIAST!!! And gosh, I agree so much, THEY ARE SO PRECIOUS, and they are the reason I'm stuck in DCMK. (I am digging myself deeper and deeper into this hole, and enjoying it.) I live for their interactions, be it in fanworks or canon. And you are 100% right: I adore Vermouth! (As I gushed about that in this particular ask, gosh.) But in short: I love how she is a morally grey. The way she can kill and deceive without batting an eye, being very competent too, only to have her 2 little treasures whom she would protect with everything she has, meaning her own life too? I love her. I love her SO MUCH. It's such a shame she appears so little, NOW THAT IS THE CRIME!!! I'd love to see more of her (WHERE IS MY VERMOUTH BACKSTORY- *GETS HIT*)
SPY X FAMILY IS ALSO PRECIOUS TO ME (THE MOST ADORABLE FAKE/FOUND FAMILY EVER, MY HEART), and to see the reference to DetCo in the most recent chapter? My heart absolutely MELTED, to witness two of my eternal favourites fused together. AND I'M VERY INTERESTED IN FANFICTION (in general and for DetCo too), YES, YES, YES. In fact, no day passes without reading a bit of fanfiction, since I tend to read between the time I go to bed and fall asleep. AND I HAVEN'T HEARD OF THAT FIC BUT I'M VERY EXCITED TO CHECK IT OUT NOW!!! (I love recs, I ADORE RECS.) THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! And yes *laughs* Anya would be a great help for sure!
And snooping is more than welcome, feel free to do so in the future, if you want to! AND THANK YOU, fortunately she is doing SO MUCH BETTER, she is not yet fully healed (liver needs lots of time to regenerate), but she is eating with gusto (very good sign) and is more enthusiastic and active (also very good sign)! We are due for a check up in a few weeks, to see if all the medication worked as it should. I forgot to take pictures of her, but have these fairly recent ones (right after she started feeling better) as a treat, of my lil darling. (You have no idea how happy I am to still have her with me, BABY DARLING.)

THANK YOU, AND I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY TOO!!!

A new chapter is out!
Some very intense moments between James and Sev take place. I hope you'll like it and let me know what you think.

Prooooompt!! When Sev gets bullied by a group of kids, James is forced to look back and confront his own past behaviour. --- I'd love it if Sirius and Remus are there, too, and I'd love for Lily to get angry at some point. I kind of see this happening during the time where Sev and James' relationship is not so good (which is a very ample period of time, lol), but feel free to modify the idea as you want.
Thanks so much for this prompt, I really loved it! Wish I could've managed to include everything, but I'm delighted you still liked it so much.
Also, shout-out to @evilbeanghost for reading it beforehand and helping me see I was fretting over nothing, hahaha. Thanks, dear.
Also on AO3.
Looking in the Mirror
I. First Warning
It happens during his first week at school and Severus is paralysed by terror as he waits by the headmaster’s door. His fears are confirmed when not only Lily but James, too, turn the corner. He is in big trouble. For starters, he had no idea they would call any parents after just one fight. In addition, he has thrown the first punch, so the bruise blossoming on his own cheek had been written off as self-defence and he is the only one facing serious consequences.
He wants to cry. He wants to run. Instead, he digs his trembling fingers in the wooden bench. As soon as Lily is close enough, she crouches down. Her fingers brush against his unscathed cheek.
“Oh, Sev, what happened?”
“I reckon it’s pretty obvious,” James snaps coldly, stopping just behind her.

Hey if you're new here, I'm Cy, and this is where I talk about the horror movies I watch.
Some basic stuff:
I will attempt to keep a basic structure to my reviews but I cannot always promise they'll be well-written, eloquent essays.
Likewise I can't promise I won't get verbose or slip into essay and analysis mode.
I will be posting ratings on a 0 to 5 star scale (when I bother to rate them.)
Spoilers will likely be discussed or dropped for each movie. I probably won’t do this every time, but my recommendation is, if you don’t want spoilers, don’t ever read below the cut.
I may reblog movie posters for things I am currently watching or have recently watched.
I welcome asks! Feel free to send me some, especially if you have questions!
Content and trigger warnings:
I will attempt to include warnings in my review posts, but I know everyone's threshold of tolerance differs. If you want me to include warnings for specific content/triggers, especially if you take any of my reviews as movie recs, please tell me what you want me to warn for.
Currently I warn for gore, body horror, bugs (will specify if spiders or otherwise,) animal death, child abuse/endangerment or harm, abuse/manipulation/gaslighting, alcoholism or other substance abuse, infidelity, and implied or shown SA.
Additional warnings may apply in some cases and I'll do my best to include them as I can think of them.
Movies I will not watch or review:
Anything with zombies or zombie-adjacent (including The Evil Dead and Re-Animator films)
The American "The Ring" movies

What’s Yours Is Mine, What’s Mine Is Yours
Sometimes a charrie's early line turns into gold for your ship later on. XD *Note: This is set in my "20 Winks" universe and comes long after the oneshot, "Minor Details," but this can be enjoyed on its own~ I just highly rec reading the previous stories first for major feels. :3c
Fic: "What's Yours Is Mine, What's Mine Is Yours" [FFN] [AO3]
Pairings/Characters: established!Alden Parker/Jess Knight, with cameos from Nick Torres, Timothy McGee, Leon Vance, & Jimmy Palmer
Rating: K+
Words: ~4,290
Additional info: romance, 3rd person POV
Summary: Knight asks to borrow an item, and Parker realizes something crucial in the process.
Knight barely managed to lift her boot to nudge his door shut behind them, exhaustion sinking deep into her bones as she took the arm Parker held out for her. Her tiredness flowed out from her fingertips into him from where they touched. "I…am completely done with explosions and people seeking revenge," she declared.
Parker's mouth quirked up, just the right corner, while he took in the sight of her in one quick sweep and reached around Knight with his free hand to get the locks. "I'd like to say they're done with you, too, but our track record's not looking too great," he quipped.
She stared up at him without craning her head, so he got the full effect of her unamused expression. "Not the time to remind me, Alden."
He exhaled, heavily, and drew her to him, prying her claw-like grip from his arm and not minding when she clutched his back instead. A hug was better right now, anyway—better than a small point of contact, better than words.
Better, because Parker finally got to have Knight in his arms properly, and not because the world was crashing down around them.
He mulled that thought over for a beat. Months and months ago, he'd gotten to hold Knight like this, once before. But that had been a result of trouble at the hands of…well, they still hadn't determined that, actually. The Raven? His Unkindness? Steven Jang, former member? Someone else entirely? And Parker had held Knight then because explosions had rained down part of a parking garage on them.
They'd been lucky to escape the concrete cascade and subsequent tomb with their lives. Parker's head had gotten a few extra knocks during the initial fall, sure, and sometimes Knight or the others glanced at him with worry if he took too long to answer them, but he'd recovered fully. He'd recovered, Knight's minor wounds had healed, and they… Actually, he and Knight were better than ever.
Knight pulled away a bit at the same time Parker did, looking up at him again. He still felt the tension and tiredness in her arms around him, though, so he pressed a brief kiss to her lips. "You can get a proper night's rest tonight, Jess."
"Mm, but can I?" She sighed and let him go, dragging her feet to his worn, black, leather couch set dead center in his living room. Knight sank into the couch's middle and half toppled over. "I dunno—I still feel wide awake."
He snorted and toed his shoes off by the door before joining her. "Spending the last seventy-two-plus hours working on a case where you were the intended victim… I guess I can see how you might still have some adrenaline pushing you forward."
Knight straightened up, draping an arm on the couch's back and turning her body to face Parker. She pouted and furrowed her brow. "They blew up my apartment."
He frowned at the reminder. "But we quickly discovered 'they' were executing favors cashed in by Dalton from behind bars."
She huffed and ran a hand through unkempt hair. Parker thought he heard Knight mutter a curse under her breath as she stared at a fixed point on the couch leather. "…damn Tom. Dalton," she corrected. Parker had noted she'd been forcing herself in earnest to drop the familiarity with her former mentor the last several days, but it was still a work in progress. "Damn him and his stupid ties to law enforcement, making me hole up at the office."
Parker shed his blazer and reached for the fist Knight had clenched in her lap. "Hey. That was the best place to protect you, Jess, and you know that." He raised his eyebrows until she rolled her eyes and conceded with a nod.
What he didn't point out was how having Knight at NCIS had made it easier to assign her a protective detail she wouldn't shake. Parker vaguely recalled Special Agents Finley and Dawkins from his time in the hospital after the garage explosion, but Knight got on well with the pair of agents, apparently precisely because of that time, so Parker considered that a win. Additionally, Ronnie and Sawyer had assisted with their watch shifts during the night.
As for the rest of the MCRT—well, Parker still kept his foot down when it came to McGee and working overtime, since the guy had a family to go home to. But whether McGee was at the office with them or Parker had just Torres as his second set of eyes, they had Knight's back. Yes, she'd had a protective detail throughout the investigation, but Parker had assured her that he, Torres, and McGee would keep an extra eye on her detail, for reasons she'd just stated.
Of course, keeping an eye on her detail while working the case had come with its own perks. Being part of Knight's detail and not just working the case like usual had allowed Parker and Knight more moments at the office together, had allowed them to be closer, more often and in a way that didn't arouse much suspicion. Though it'd felt like a small consolation, given that deep dives into Ronnie's, Sawyer's, Finley's, and Dawkins' backgrounds hadn't crossed them fully off Parker's list during the case. Tom Dalton had the uncanny ability to make friends and acquaintances in a hot minute, even if not every last said friend or acquaintance necessarily owed him anything.
"But," Parker began, shoving the memory of briefly meeting the bastard in prison to question Dalton aside and instead running a comforting hand along Knight's upper arm, "that protective detail's over now. We got Dalton's for-hires, we did our due diligence and found no loose ends—we can put this case behind us, Jess."
She mustered half a smile for him. "You're just glad I've simmered down," she poked with a chuckle in her voice.
Parker didn't deny that. He flashed back to a couple days earlier, when they first arrived at the scene to find a soot-stained Knight and every agency outside her apartment building—
—and she stamped her foot on the curb, still too close to the building despite the fire crew constantly herding people away. It wasn't until Parker and the others arrived that Knight could be pulled from the mess that was…had been…her apartment. "Son of a bitch!" she snarled, her eyes still glued to the hole in the cream-colored stucco where her window had been.
Parker kept tugging, gently, on her elbows, and even Torres poked at her back to move her along. "Knight, how bad are you hurt?" Parker asked.
She did a double-take at him, as if finally realizing he was there. Knight grabbed a handful of his NCIS jacket to steady herself and then, seeing not only Torres but McGee and Jimmy, too, let the fabric go. She shook her head. "I'm—I'm fine. I'm—"
He settled her with a dry look. "Did you let one of the EMTs look you over yet?"
Even with her face darkened by grime, Knight visibly paled. He knew her well.
Parker caught Jimmy's eye, and the doctor hustled over. "Jimmy, if you would."
      "Of course, Parker. Jess—"
But Knight found her voice again. She glared at them. "I told you, I'm fine!" She threw a hand behind her, where the fire had died out but black smoke billowed outside. "We have better things to be doing right now!"
"And the rest of us will offer NCIS' resources to the other agencies who arrived first," Parker said, his tone even but straining against his own irritation. Bad enough he'd gotten used to seeing Knight in dire straits. The last thing he wanted was for her to ignore an injury that turned serious later.
She flared her nostrils and glared up at him. "People—my neighbors, people I know and some I even like—got hurt." She paused, and he could hear the implied "Alden" she normally might've tacked on for emphasis there. "If someone wants me, they better just come after me and not get others involved!"
Parker gritted his teeth, matching her glare.
But it was Torres who interrupted with the obvious: "Uh, Jess, can you not shout an invitation to anyone who might be listening?"
Knight smiled now, pulling Parker from the reverie. "While I'm happy to be kicking back here at last…I am surprised Director Vance didn't make me keep the detail for a few more days, while the Cyber team finishes their deep dive into Dalton's background and his associates."
"If Cyber hasn't pulled up anything by now, I doubt there's anything to find," Parker remarked. "Plus, with Vance, we did shoot that offer down." He raised his eyebrows again, but this time it was accompanied by a smirk and a quick glance around his condo.
She laughed. "All right, point taken. I do prefer being here without other agents snooping around and wondering why I'm not holing up at some hotel or crashing at my sister's."
It was something Parker didn't want to imagine, either. Although the scene with Vance barely an hour ago replayed clearly in his mind—
—and Vance stood behind his desk in his office, hands clasped behind his back, eyeing all four members of Parker's team. Finley and Dawkins stood outside Vance's door, still on duty at the moment. "Congratulations on a job well done," the director told them.
There was a collective sigh of relief though none escaped them, although Parker thought he heard McGee exhale behind him, sitting at the conference table. Still, the minor, remaining tension in Vance's office dissipated.
"It's always a dark day to put away one of our own or to add charges," Vance continued, "but the reward is far greater." The last part he said with a nod to Knight on Parker's right.
Even with an inch between them, Parker felt her relax, and Knight smiled. "Thank you, Director."
Vance glanced at a form on his desk. "Former Supervisory Special Agent Dalton will be moved to a different federal facility and have no contact except with his lawyer for the time being, given his new charges." He lifted his dark eyes and looked between Knight and Parker. "That said, I am inclined to keep Special Agent Knight's protective detail in place for a bit long—"
      "Ah—" Parker began.
"That's not necessary!" Knight blurted at the same time.
Vance blinked at them and straightened a little; behind them, also at the conference table with McGee, Torres shifted in his seat. Parker thought he heard one of Torres' familiar little snickers. "It's not, Agent Knight?"
"No! No, no, no," she said with a little too much enthusiasm. Knight put her hands up, dismissing the idea and bumping into Parker at the same time, close as they stood. Out of the corner of his eye, Parker noted how much color flooded her cheeks. "That is— I mean, during the case was one thing. But now? We've closed it, right? You just said so yourself. We did a good job. So we don't really need to burn through more resources, and everyone could use a rest right now."
Parker took that notion and ran with it. "She's got a point," he piped up. "If there's anyone else, they'd be stupid to come after her while we're on high-alert and expecting something. Besides—" He gestured behind him to McGee and Torres before motioning to himself. "None of us are that far from Jess. She's still in good hands," he added, realizing half a beat late his slipup.
Perhaps Vance hadn't noticed Parker's use of her first name? Vance looked at Knight instead. "My understanding is that your apartment will be unlivable for a while yet, Agent Knight. You have another place to stay?"
"Yep." She didn't supply details, just smiled.
The director nodded. "Very well. If you change your mind, know the offer still stands. You're all dismissed. Have a good night, all of you."
They mumbled their thanks, and Knight ushered the other two from the table. Parker heard Torres snickering again and Knight hissing, "Shut up, Nick!" as Parker went to leave with them.
But Vance stopped him. "Agent Parker?"
He turned on his heel. A funny lump formed in his throat while Director Vance's eyes rested on him, too curious.
At last, Vance broke the tension with one of his smooth smiles. "Send in Finley and Dawkins, will you? I want to update them on their assignment."
"Of course, Director. Have a good night." Parker tipped his head to him and did as asked without delay, sending the reed-like fellow and the California giant in before catching up with his team near the staircase.
But Vance wasn't the only one giving him curious looks this evening. Even McGee kept glancing at him, squinting and smiling oddly. McGee opened his mouth, ready to ask—but then he stopped himself. It was clear as day on McGee's features, especially as he nodded to himself when the team descended the stairs. He was willing to doubt his ears and eyes back in the director's office…even though there'd been a few other times during this case where Parker had slipped up, too, using Knight's first name without thinking.
But Parker hadn't dwelled on that long, just as he hadn't wanted to hypothesize on the director knowing or even guessing about him and Knight then and he didn't want to hypothesize right now, either. It was one thing, Torres working it out for himself, as Knight had told Parker shortly after his return to the office from his medical leave. As for anyone else… The mere thought gave him a fledgling headache.
      "Hey."
      Parker glanced at Knight.
She rested her head on the couch, her eyes meeting his. She shifted the arm she had draped on the furniture so she could reach up and comb her fingers through his hair. "You said it yourself. We can put this case behind us."
He nodded. "Although Vance wasn't wrong. You're not going to be able to live there for a while yet, unless another apartment in your building opens up."
Knight shrugged. "And one might, considering people get spooked by this sort of thing." She frowned. "Is it strange I'm not more concerned about the things I lost? Though I did lose a lot of memories there."
Parker shook his head. "Things mostly can be replaced…but we tend to tie memories to tangible items. It makes sense."
She mustered that half-smile for him again, though it was less mischievous this time, with her eyes a bit glassy. Then Knight blinked and sat up straight as if something occurred to her. "Oh! Wait— I wonder—" She was up on her feet and she kicked off her boots before disappearing down the short hallway to the bedroom.
Parker shook his head again, chuckling to himself. Tired but running on the dregs of adrenaline—so he'd been right about Knight's current state, after all. Nevertheless, he got up and followed her. And the sight on the floor by his closet and bureau dampened his grin. "Jess," he intoned.
But she ignored him and continued rifling through things, expanding her mess. On the one hand, anything of his she gently set aside. But her own things she tossed willy-nilly, with some things getting dropped on the floor and some flying towards the foot of the bed. A sweatshirt—her burgundy track jacket, he realized as he caught it midair before it smacked him in the face—went flying, followed by the pair of leggings she tended to wear with it. At last, the frenzy screeched to a halt when Knight sat on her haunches and yanked from the bottom of a pile in the closet a large, black-and-silver duffle bag of hers that…Parker didn't even remember when it had taken up residence there.
Huh. He knew they'd been making up for lost time and spending a lot of it together…and it'd been primarily at his place, perhaps more often than Parker had appreciated.
"There's more here than I thought," Knight stated, surprise, delight, and laughter mixing in her voice. She beamed up at him.
Parker shrugged and offered her a hand up. They sat on the side of the bed while Knight dug through the bag's contents. "I'll second that—just how much does that bag hold?"
She grinned but gave him an apologetic look. "Unfortunately…your favorite shirt you definitely left at my place. It's not here, Alden."
"Eh, I'll have another favorite shirt." He quirked an eyebrow as something peeked out from amongst her clothing. "…am I really this sleep-deprived or is that a stuffed walrus in your bag?"
Knight glanced down and laughed, withdrawing the plush with a huge sigh of relief. "He's here! Oh, jeez, I thought I'd lost Rufus."
      "Rufus."
Knight pursed her lips at Parker. "Don't hate the name, okay? That's what you get from a middle schooler hopped up on pain meds while she has her tonsils out." She tugged on one of the off-white tusks. "Hm. I wonder if my fondness for mustaches started here…"
Now it was Parker's turn to roll his eyes, which made Knight laugh again.
She exhaled, though, and calmed while she hugged the old toy to her middle and leaned into Parker's side. "Rufus must've gotten mixed in with my laundry last time I did it… …I'm relieved to find him, as well as some of my other things. But—" Her voice caught. Suddenly the room sounded so quiet. "—mostly I'm just glad to be safe again."
"I'm glad you're safe, too," Parker mumbled against the top of her head. He pressed his lips to her hair, lingering, as if staying this way, staying close by would wipe away the more unsavory memories from the last several days.
After all, unsavory memories like attempts on their lives were quite the heavy price to pay for the softer, intimate moments like these.
But Parker mentally swatted away that thought as a surge of relief flooded him, precisely because he and Knight had come this far. He kissed her nearer temple, feather light, and propped her up, since she was drowsier now than before. "Well, we grabbed a bite on the way home, but if you need something else to eat before crashing—"
Knight shook her head and tucked Rufus back into her bag. "The only thing I need is a proper shower." She stood and stretched, removing her blazer and stuffing it in a ball on top of the other things in her bag. She pulled a face at Parker. "Ever since they installed those eco-friendly timers in the stalls at headquarters a few years ago, a person can't take a decent, de-stressing shower there…!"
He chuckled while she sorted through her mess of clothes and found something to wear. "Yeah, after this case and holing up at NCIS, I can understand the need for a soak. Take all the time you need."
She offered him a smile in thanks but paused, her copper eyes widening as she finally realized how it looked as though a tornado had blown through in here. Daubs of pinkish red appeared on the apples of her cheeks. Her eyes zoomed back to Parker's face.
"Jess, seriously, go on. I'll take care of this."
Knight ducked her head, only scooting out and hooking right in the hallway to the bathroom after Parker ushered her out.
He meant to change out of his own work clothes first, but…alas, that required a little bit of excavating. Still, once comfortable in sweats and a t-shirt, Parker gathered up Knight's things, folding and looking for proper places for everything. It turned out his closet was bigger than he thought (or maybe he'd been making room for her subconsciously? hmm), because quite a bit of her belongings fit back in there, including her jackets, which he hung up alongside his, even the blazer she'd balled up and thrown atop poor Rufus. The drawers in the bureau would take more rearranging, though—especially, Parker noted, if Knight were to be here awhile, with no apartment to return to.
While he set about straightening up, Parker's thoughts did briefly wander back to the case as he thought of her apartment, despite both of them having reminded one another that the case was over. He hadn't mentioned it to McGee or Torres, not even to Knight, and he had a hard time admitting it to himself, but Parker still mused over whether Dalton's case had been too easy. Following the trail of clues back to Dalton… Getting access to Dalton… Chasing down every last lead and capturing the remaining persons who owed Dalton favors…
But, no, they'd done a good job. Vance had said that. Parker believed as much. So why did this idea niggle at him so?
He considered the visit to Dalton in prison. He and McGee had gone, so as not to give the bastard the satisfaction of interacting with the agent who'd taken him down, but Parker had let McGee do the talking, not trusting himself in that interview while his thoughts swirled with concern for and rage over Knight's safety. The last thing they'd needed was for Dalton to spy something in Parker and use it against him and Knight. But, still, Dalton had been one man with a few favors. He wasn't the Raven with a wide-cast network that NCIS still hadn't comprehended fully…
…ah. That was it. Parker exited his room, coming to a stop in the doorway as things clicked into place: He wasn't worried about the specifics of their most recent case. Parker was just worried about the next time Knight would be in someone's crosshairs.
The water from the showerhead shut off then, and Parker heard cursing coming from the bathroom, which pulled him from his worries and made him chortle. But Knight groused from the other side of the door, "Oh, stop laughing, Alden! And loan me a towel already." There was a small thud and soft footsteps before the door cracked open and she jabbed a hand out amongst all the steam that escaped. "After all, mine are all ash, and I'm fonder of cotton."
Parker stifled his amusement. "Yep, just a sec," he replied, turning to the tiny hall closet across the way from the bedroom door. He slid the door open, found one that was the right size, and passed it in to her—but the action gave him pause, his brain halting and summoning to the front of his thoughts an analogy he'd once made to Vance a very, very long while back, about getting acquainted with the team—
—and the odd atmosphere in the room, Vance clearly wishing for Parker to adjust to NCIS and their way of life and Parker still coming to terms with having been fired from the FBI only for NCIS to come in and scoop him up without blinking.
And Vance, studying him after Parker's "I'm not ready to call anything mine" had left his mouth. Director Vance seemed so insistent on people being part of teams, owning teams, feeling at home here.
These were things that didn't make a whole lot of sense to Parker, who hadn't quite experienced the same welcome during his tenure at the FBI.
But Vance didn't miss a beat, remarking with aplomb, "I'm sorry to hear that."
And, shit, at the time that had sounded as though Vance was about to pull the plug on this little experiment, Parker and the MCRT. Parker was new to these faces—Knight and McGee and Torres—and they were new to him, too, but he wasn't ready to go looking for another new job so soon. So Parker fidgeted and said the first assurance that came to mind. "Eh, it's—it's like dating. I met someone. Someone great. But me and that someone still have to fall in love with each other before we start sharing bath towels."
Of course, thankfully Vance had taken the analogy in stride, but that wasn't what Parker focused on right now.
And, speak of the devil, Knight emerged from the bathroom then, wrapped cozy in one of his towels and patting the ends of her hair dry. Yet her brow was furrowed, looking at Parker. She reached up and touched his cheek. "Hey, something wrong? You've gone so quiet."
His own words had caught him unawares, so of course he'd gone quiet. But this…this was a big step, for Parker, realizing he didn't just enjoy Knight's company or like Knight. By his very own standards—
Parker was in love with Knight.
But the realization was too fresh, and he wasn't ready to say those words yet, especially in the hulking shadow of the last several days. No, something like this, the timing needed to be better, even though he was sure—
"Alden?" Knight's voice pitched a little higher in the quiet.
"I'm good, Jess," he assured her. "Just thinking about you," he admitted.
She smiled. "Hey, I'm still safe and sound," Knight reminded him, rubbing her thumb along his cheekbone.
"I know." But it was better right now, to envelop her in a big hug—better than a small point of contact, better than words. Parker didn't mind the dampness of her skin that spread through his shirt. He loved Knight's content chuckle as he pressed a kiss to her forehead and then another to her lips.
Yes, this was better, because Parker finally got to have Knight in his arms properly, and he finally understood just how much she meant to him.
-w- Oh, man, the feels. So, this story…the main idea was to seize a chance to use those old, canon words (quoted verbatim from the ep, btw) of Parker's against him. XD And BOY did I! ;D I always thought that was a funny exchange btwn him and Vance, back in s19e11, and my muse (or, as my pal justto has dubbed it, my "mewse" XD) rly ran with it. This also was the aforementioned story in the closing A/N to "Minor Details" since, the more I reviewed the outline for this, the more I wanted to frame this in the "20 Winks" universe (altho can I get some kudos for not mentioning the damn handkerchief for once? ;P). But I also can't get the premise of turning Dalton into a bigger villain out of my head, *lol*, hence using that as a bkgd case for this story…and, as I write this (towards late May, while still I wait for the season finale to droppppp), I actually have an idea for a missing moment that cropped up for this particular case, so clearly the "20 Winks" universe isn't done with me yet. c: I also wanted to explore smthg in this universe from Parker's POV since the previous stories have all been from Knight's, and I wanted the readers to catch some of Parker's anxiety, too, wondering if Vance and/or McGee knows about Parknight by now. Which brings me to another point: There's quite a big timeskip btwn this and "Minor Details," I know. I drew up a list of pros and cons before ultimately deciding to make this part of the "20 Winks" universe, but I felt that the timeskip could work esp as cozy details showing Parknight have grown closer would be written in (it's cute seeing Parker caught off-guard by certain things here XD). Plus, since the story didn't harp on about the Raven, I didn't feel that this would be repetitive, even tho Knight lost her apartment in the process. :P Besides… *cue domestic scenes* Anywho! Pls look forward to the missing moment, "36 Hours," and feel free to lemme know if there's another missing moment you'd like to see written or even if you'd like to see the Dalton case in its entirety, *lol*! In the meantime, enjoy my hordes of other Parknights, fic and art alike, as well as additional content found on the parknights tumblr~ And always feel free to request or just chat with me about these stories or Parknight or NCIS! :D
Thanks for reading, and feel free to leave an anon/unsigned review via the FFN link or comment via the AO3 link at the top of the post, especially if you enjoyed this!

FROM FRIENDS & NEIGHBORS
The farm witches love spending time around the cauldron, but sometimes we like to borrow recipes from our neighbors in town, too. We can’t help it, we crave Jocelyn’s Dorito Casserole every now and then as well. Recipe after the cut!
You’ll need:
1 pound lean ground beef
½ yellow onion diced
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 packet taco seasoning
12 ounce bag frozen corn
14.5 ounce can petite diced tomatoes with green chilies (not drained)
1 cup sour cream
2 cups finely crushed Doritos
1 cup loosely crushed Doritos
3 cups Mexican blend cheese
1 cup black beans
Sliced green onions diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, avocado, sour cream for garnish (optional)*
(* Some of us are picky witches and will leave out the ingredients we don’t like and we support you doing the same!)
To make this delish dish:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray 9×13 dish with nonstick spray.
Gently crush the chips, set aside. Two cups should be crushed fine, more like bread crumbs and one cup should be larger chunks, to be spread on top at the end. (You can put them in a Ziploc gallon bag and crush with your hands.)
In a large skillet cook the ground beef and onions. Drain.
Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Add the frozen corn, taco seasoning, tomatoes with chiles, black beans, and two cups of finely crushed chips.
Remove from heat. Stir in the sour cream and two cups of cheese.
Pour into greased casserole dish and place in oven. Bake 5-10 minutes, until warmed through.
Add one cup of cheese on top, then one cup of loosely crushed Doritos and bake another five minutes until cheese is melted.
Remove from oven and serve warm!

Now Furuba S2 is over, what now?
I’m already seeing a lot of people asking for recommendations now the S2 Sub is over; so this is a list of series that I think you’ll enjoy if you like Furuba!
All platforms listed are true for the UK, but might not be for other residences. More viewing options may be available in other territories.
Unless specified, All Manga/Comic recs are available from regular bookstores and EBook Stores. If you’re in the UK I’ll suggest checking out Hive, which is an online store where a potion of each sale goes towards a Local Independent Bookstroe of your choice! They also have flat-rate free shipping!
Okay, so the actual recs! (I got lazy in some places and used the official synopisis)
Romance
Convenience Store Boyfriends Funimation (Dub) Crunchyroll (Sub) 12 Eps Total

Haruki Mishima and Towa Honda are first year students looking forward to the high school experience. Alongside them, there’s Nasa Sanagi, the only member of the cooking research club. Natsu Asumi is a loner but has third year students, Mikado Nakajima and Masamune Sakurakoji, looking out for him.“
Kaguya-sama: Love is War S1 - Crunchyroll, Funimation (Sub) S2 Funimation (Sub/Dub) 24 eps - Ongoing Manga: 18/20 volumes available in English
“Known for being both brilliant and powerful, Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya lead the illustrious Shuchiin Academy as near equals. And everyone thinks they’d make a great couple. Pride and arrogance are in ample supply, so the only logical move is to trick the other into instigating a date! Who will come out on top in this psychological war where the first move is the only one that matters?”
Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun Netflix (Dub/Sub), Crunchyroll (Sub) 12 Eps Total Manga: 12/12 volumes available in English
“High school student Chiyo Sakura has a crush on schoolmate Umetarou Nozaki. When she confesses her love to him, he mistakes her for a fan and gives her an autograph. Sakura discovers that Nozaki is actually a renowned shōjo manga artist working under the pen name Sakiko Yumeno. She agrees to be his assistant in order to get closer to him. As they work on his manga Let's Fall in Love they encounter other schoolmates, who assist them and serve as inspirations for the story.”
Snow White With the Red Hair Funimation (Dub/Sub) 24 Eps Total Manga: 9/22+ volumes available in English. Anime ends Vol. 8
“In the kingdom of Tanbarun lives an independent young pharmacist named Shirayuki. Shirayuki is a plain girl, save for her shock of beautiful apple-red hair. Her stunning mane gets her noticed by the prince, but instead of romancing her, he demands she be his concubine. Shirayuki chops off her lovely locks, and runs away to the neighboring kingdom where she befriends a handsome stranger.”
Tsuruedure Children Funimation (Dub), Crunchyroll (Sub) 12 Eps Total Manga (Ebook only) 12/12 Volumes available in English
“Short and charming comedic vignettes offer a quick glimpse into the unique and funny situations, misunderstandings, and all around confusion that can happen in a high school romance. For starters, there’s a story about a delinquent girl and the student council president, and one about a stoic boy confused about an emotional girl. Relive the charm of high school romance!”
Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku Amazon Prime (Sub) 11 Eps Total Manga: 4/9 volumes available in english
Looking for a slice of life romance but you’re an actual adult now and don’t want to read about teenagers? Try Wotakoi! It combines office romance with childhood friends-to-lovers. Narumi is a Fujoshi who doesn’t want anyone to find out the truth of her ways, Hirotaka is a Game Otaku who doesn’t care what anyone says about it, together they go about the ins-and-outs of dating as an adult.
Coming of Age
BOFURI: I don’t want to get hurt, so I’ll max out my defence Funimation (Dub/Sub) 12 Eps Ongoing
“She may be new to gaming, but Maple has found the secret to invincibility! Just put all your skill points into defense until you can't even move. That works, right? She doesn't want to experience any pain in the VRMMO game she started playing, and somehow it works better than anyone expected. Now she's got followers??”
Brand New Animal Netflix (Dub/Sub) 12 Eps Total
“Set in a world where humanoid animals (known as beastmen) inhabit Earth, the series centers on Michiru Kagemori, a young teenage girl who one day suddenly starts turning into a tanuki beastman. Running away, she seeks refuge in Anima City, a city built for beastmen to be able to live peacefully as themselves, and ends up meeting a wolf beastman named Shirou Ogami. Together, they investigate how and why Michiru became a beastman, becoming mixed up in even stranger events in the process.”
Hyouka Funimation (Dub/Sub) 23 Eps Total
“A worthy addition to any animation fan's collection, Hyouka is a stunning masterwork that spins a charming tale of high school romance and mystery. After disenchanted student Hotaro Oreki joins his school’s Classic Lit Club, he meets Eru Chitanda, a kindhearted and inquisitive girl with boundless curiosity and a knack for getting him caught up in all sorts of trouble.”
Koto Oto Tomara! Sounds of Life Funimation (Dub/Sub) 24 Eps Total
“Down to its last member, the koto club will accept anyone who is interested in the traditional Japanese instrument. But when a delinquent and a prodigy player sign up, finding harmony isn’t going to be easy—especially not with ensemble competitions looming around the corner. With enough time and some incredible skill at the strings, perhaps this motley crew can strike a chord with the judges.“
O Maidens in your Savage Season HIDIVE (Dub/Sub) 12 Eps Total Manga: 7/8 volumes available in English (8th available for pre-order)
The series follows a High School Literature club as they make their nervous first foray into the nature of sexuality. What is the difference between sexual attraction and romantic attraction? Does watching porn mean wanting to have sex? What are these strange feelings I am having down below? Why are boys so gross and girls so pretty? Each girl undergoes their own journey and finds their own destination, a brutally honest yet heart warming look at teenage female sexuality.
CW: Sexual Assault, pedophilia (both portrayed as BAD AND TERRIBLE things)
Our Dreams at Dusk Manga: 4/4 volumes available in English
IF YOU ONLY CONSUME ONE THING ON THIS LIST MAKE IT THIS!!!!! The series is the VERY DEFINITION of “It Gets Better”.
After his classmates discover some gay pornography on his phone, Tasuku Kaname contemplates committing suicide. Just as he’s about to jump, he spots a mysterious figure parkouring down a mountain. Shocked out of his moment, he decides to go and investigate what’s happening and finds an LGBT+ Drop In Centre. The series follows the lives of the people in the drop in centre, from Haruko who wishes to marry her closeted girlfriend, to Misora who is still trying to figure out what their gender is but has the threat of puberty hovering of their shoulder.
It’s very clear that Kamatani-sensei has written this story FOR the Queer Community. It’s a truly beautiful story. Please give it your money if you can, so that Kamatani-sensei can actually earn some money, and so that Seven Seas know that there is a viable audience for these stories! So that we may get more content!
Reverse Harem
Fruits Basket is NOT a reverse Harem, but i figure there’ll be some fan crossover.
Kiss Him, Not Me Cruncyroll (sub) Funimation Dub available on DVD etc. 12 Eps Total Manga 14/14 volumes available in English
“Kae Serinuma believes one thing—princes belong together! As an avid boy’s love fan, she loves nothing more than fantasizing about faux relationships between the boys at her school. But when she loses weight due to the stress of her favorite anime character dying suddenly the boys want…her?! From pretty average to prettiest girl, Kae just wants these boys to date each other, not her!”
Sub uses an irritating “Silly Fat Person” voice that the Dub doesn’t. CW for Sexual Assult, though it is depicted as a BAD thing and used for Kae to question why she is so into it when reading BL, when IRL it is terrifying?
My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom Crunchyroll (Dub/Sub) 12 Eps Total
A TRULY Bisexual harem! After bumping her head, young Katarina Claes awakens with all the memories of her past life... and promptly realises she’s been re-incarnated as the antagonist of her favourite Otome Game! Determined this time to live past the age of 17, Katarina starts to make plans to turn all her enemies into allies through the power of kindness and understanding! Throughout the series, she tries harder and harder to avoid her doom flags... without realising that she’s turned those doom flags into romance flags!
Katarina lives out the fantasy of going to magic school and eating cake as all the pretty people fall head over heels for her. A pity she’s too dim to notice.
Ouran High School Host Club Funimation (Dub/Sub) 24 eps total Manga: 18/18 volumes available in english
Set in the high class elite private school of Ouran High, the Host Club exist to provide entertainment for the ladies of the school. Looking for a quiet place to study, Haruhi Fujioka, stumbles across the Host Club and in their haste to leave they knock over an ¥8,000,000 vase. Now she must earn that money back by working for the Host Club, all the while disguising the fact that she’s a girl. Not that she ever felt much like a girl before hand anyway. Along the way, she gets to know better the Cool Kyoya, the flamboyant Tamaki, the Mischievous Hikaru & Kaoru, the Strong and Silent Mori-senpai and the adorable Honey-senpai. Comedic Hijinks ensue!
Slice of Life
The Emperor and I Manga: 4/4 volumes available in English on Shonen Jump App
One day Kaho returns home from school to find an Emperor Penguin in her fridge. He quickly becomes a beloved part of the family, but a secret to the rest of the world who would want to take him away from them. Hijinks ensue.
Kakushigoto Funimation (Dub/Sub) 12 Eps Total
Doting single father, Kakushi Goto, is determined to hide the fact that he writes echhi humour manga for a living. He couldn’t bare it if his daughter were to ever find out the truth, the shame of his profession only alienating her. A laugh out loud series that will suddenly cut you deep as it explores the nature of grief and familial love.
My Brother’s Husband Manga: 2/2 volumes available in English
“Yaichi, a stay-at-home single father, lives with his daughter Kana in suburban Tokyo. They are visited by Mike Flanagan, the widower of Yaichi's estranged twin brother Ryōji, who has traveled from his native Canada for three weeks to learn about Ryōji's past. Kana is fascinated by Mike and is immediately accepting of him, though Yaichi is hesitant to accept Mike as family.
While Yaichi is not overtly homophobic, Mike suggests that his tacit discomfort over his brother's sexuality drove a wedge between them that led to their estrangement. Mike's interactions with the family and neighborhood over the subsequent three weeks prompt Yaichi to confront his own prejudices around sex and sexuality, as his growing tolerance and eventual acceptance of Mike parallel his overcoming of his own homophobia.”
Whilst the trope of “the gay brother dies and the heterosexual brother learns not to be homophobic” might be over done in western media, the same is not true for Japan. It’s a heartfelt and honest look at grief and acceptance, as well as how the nature of family is changing all around the world... but attitudes are maybe conservative attitudes aren’t as quick to catch up.
Nichijou: My Ordinary Life Funimation (Dub/Sub)
So apparently everyone went “this show is undubbable! It relies too much on puns and untranslatable humour!” and then Howard Wang said “hold my beer” and did it. A bizarre comedy series set in a high school. It’s probably best known for the ongoing fight between the deer and the principal.
Way of the Househusband Manga: 4/5+ (ongoing) volumes available in English
After he meets and marries the career driven Miku, Tatsu AKA The Immortal Dragon decides to give up his life of crime to commit to being the worlds’ best husband. You’d be surprised at the transferable skills between a Yakuza enforcer and a house husband. From knowing how to efficiently cut up a slice of meat, to how to perfectly clean a bathroom of all evidence. Hilarious and heartwarming, Taki and Kyoko would be best bros.
Slice of Life + Supernatural
The Disastrous Life of Saiki K S1 Funimation (Dub/Sub) 24 episodes Netflix S1 (Dub/Sub) S2 & 3 (Sub) 50 episodes total
“Saiki Kusuo is a typical 16-year-old high school student… except he has psychic powers. He can use them to get whatever he wants, but he also knows everything that people are thinking. Everything. No surprises, no secrets, no normal human experiences. He’s kept his powers in check since childhood, but with the temptations of high school now on his mind, he’s bending the rules—and spoons.“
Sabrina The Teenage Witch (2019)
Writer Kelly Thompson wears her magical girl influences on her sleeve in this new take on the Archie Classic. Sabrina is your regular teenager, except she is also a witch and so are her aunts. Hijinks (and Card Captor Sakura References) ensue.
Toilet Bound Hanako-kun Funimation (Dub/Sub) 12 eps total Manga 13/13 Volumes available in English
“Kamome Academy is rumored to have many mysteries, the strangest of which involves the mischievous ghost of Hanako-kun. When occult-loving high schooler Nene Yashiro accidentally becomes bonded to him, she uncovers a hidden world of supernatural beings. Now the two of them are conspiring to keep the peace between student and supernatural—that is, if they can only stay out of trouble themselves.“
Jughead (2015) 4 Volumes total
Bought to you in various parts by the creators of Squirrel Girl, Jughead combines slice of life with spy thriller, time travel and the joy of a good burger. Hilarious and heart warming, this run holds a special place in my heart as the one where Jughead was confirmed as canonically asexual and continues to express various aro/ace moods throughout the series. There’s a REASON my friends say I’m a Real Life Jughead....
Weathering With You - available digitally/physically 28th Sep. 2019
In June 2021, first year high schooler Hodaka Morishima leaves Kōzu-shima in order to get to Tokyo. When his ferry to the city is hit by a rainstorm, he is saved by Keisuke Suga, who runs a small occult magazine that’s looking for an assistant. As Hodaka becomes broke and struggles to find work, he meets Hina Amano, an employee of a McDonald’s restaurant. She takes pity on him and gives him food. After agreeing to work with Suga, Hodaka learns about the legend of the “sunshine girl” who can control the weather! It turns out that the newly unemployed Hina is a sunshine girl! And with her little brother, they start up their own business to bring sunshine to the never-ending rain of Tokyo.
Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches Crunchyroll (Dub/Sub) 12 Episodes Total Manga: 22/28 volumes available in English
After tripping on the stairs, School Bad Boy Ryu Yamada and Top Student Urara Shiraishi discover they can swap bodies with a kiss! They then learn that they’re not the only ones with magic powers in the school, and with the help of the Supernatural Studies Club they begin to track down the identities of the 7 witches of Suzaku High.
This series really stretches my limits on fan service, but at least it does proceed to get a little even in terms of gender. It’s still a really rather sweet and romantic series, once you get past the boobs and panties.
Your Name Netflix (Dub/Sub) Spin Off Manga “Your Name: Another Side: Earthbound” - 2/2 volumes available in English
A modern take on the Red Sting of Fate mythos, Mitsuha and Taki are two teenagers tied together. Three times a week, Mitsuha will wake up in Taki’s body and live the life of a Tokyo School boy. In turn, Taki will wake up in Mitsuha’s body and learn what it is to be a Rural Shrine Maiden. A look at the bonds that tie us, and how fate won’t let two young people fall apart before they can meet.
Also the animation is BEAUTIFUL and it made me cry. Like a lot. There’s a spin off manga called “Your Name: Another Side” that follows the same story but from the POV of Mitsuha’s friends and family. It really brings new light to the events and made me very emotional.
Mental Health
Green Lanterns: Rebirth (2018)
Jessica Cruz suffers from PTSD and severer anxiety, seeing her utalising her will power to overcome those problems and harness that energy to help save the universe is so incredibly powerful and moving.
Hawkeye (2012-2015) 4 Volumes
The Fraction/Aja/Wu/Hollingworth Hawkeye run is widely considered one of the best superhero runs of all time. Fraction and Aja perfectly capture “functional depression” at its finest, and we watch as Clint Barton slowly burns all his bridges before being forced by his friends to sort his shit out and put them back together again. There’s also a whole issue that’s primarily written in sign language too.
My Roomate is a Cat Funimation (Dub) Crunchyroll (Sub) 12 eps total
“Mystery author Mikazuki would rather live in total isolation than deal with others. Getting a roommate is the last thing he’d ever do, until a stray cat sparks an idea for his next novel. After plucking the little killer off the streets, this four-legged muse inspires Mikazuki in ways he would have never expected. And for the street-wise cat, this human just opened the door to a whole new world.”
A Silent Voice (Manga/Movie) Movie: Netflix (Dub/Sub)
“A former class bully reaches out to the deaf girl he’d tormented in grade school. He feels unworthy of redemption but tries to make things right.”
CW Attempted Suicide, bullying
Please watch the dub. Lexi Marman Cowden, who voices Shoko, is an ACTUAL hard-of-hearing actress. It makes for a more real and vulnerable performance that avoids the mild ableism of the Sub hiring a Hearing Actress and robot-ising her voice.
Yuri!!! On ICE Crunchyroll (Sub) Funimation (Dub) 12 eps total
“Yuri Katsuki makes his way to the Grand Prix ice skating competition as Japan’s top representative with his eyes on the prize. However, instead of celebrating, Yuri walks away defeated and ready to retire for good. But a run-in with champion Viktor Nikiforov and rising star Yuri Plisetsky ignites a new fire within him. With the two of them close by his side, Yuri will take to the ice once more.”
Yuri’s defeat sends him into a very relatable spiral of lack of self belief that he slowly starts to regain thanks to the help of Viktor. Part sports anime, part love story, all full of feels.
The Dub is considered hit or miss depending on whether you like accents or not, but honestly it’s worth it for Sabat’s Christophe giacometti. Ayame walked, so Christophe could strut.
Generic
I’m gonna start by recommending the Shonen Jump App, it’s £1.99/month and gives you access to all their recent publications as well as their back catalogue in English! So you can read all of Boys Over Flowers, Nisekoi, Naruto, One Piece, Haikyuu, Assassination Classroom, My Hero Academia etc. for a fraction of the cost of buying the physicals! SO much manga at your finger tips! No, they don’t sponsor me but i wish they would.
Astra Lost in Space Funimation (Dub/Sub) 12 Eps Total Manga: 5/5 volumes available in english, available on the Shonen Jump App
A group of teenagers on a school trip become Lost In Space and quickly discover a conspiracy is a foot. Part thriller, part comedy, saying anything more about this series would count as a spoiler given the number of plot twists throughout.
Radiant Funimation (Dub) Crunchyroll (Sub) 42 eps total Manga: 13/13+ volumes available in english (ongoing series)
A french manga turned into a Japanese Anime.
“Seth, a sorcerer destined to find Radiant, sets his sights on Caislean Merlin for answers. He’s desperate to find out what the Knight Sorcerers know, but can he trust them? In the wake of all that is unknown, he digs deep within himself for the wisdom and confidence to control his powers. And as the world around him continues to grow with more magic and power, he gains strong new allies.”
The series has BIG Saturday Morning cartoon vibes. My 12 year-old self would have been ALL OVER this.
Batman Ninja (Netflix)
What if a Japanese animation studio asked DC if they could make a batman movie? And then just threw a Japanese history book at it? What if there was time travel? What if the main batman villains were all feudal lords in Japan? What if everyone were Samari? What if Damian had a small animal companion he could communicate with using a flue? What if Jason’s hood was made out of wicker? What if Penguin had a penguin shaped mecha?
A wild ride from start to finish that makes no sense but really, do you care?

☕ Tips
Tumblr media
We understand that it can be difficult, even intimidating, to write kind messages — anonymous or not! Luckily, it's easier than it feels! Even just a basic reminder that someone enjoyed your presence or time can make a person's day a whole lot brighter. Below are just a few examples that may make someone smile! Feel free to check out other asks on our blog and/or our list of additional positivi-tea blogs as well ... remember, kindness is never plagiarism!
Tumblr media
Examples for content creators (gfx/writers):
I've gone through (url)'s entire blog and they never fail to boost my serotonin.
I keep re-liking (url)'s posts because I just can't get enough.
(url) is so kind to their followers — even when they're busy, they never fail to check in.
I love (url)'s style — I always know it's their work without even seeing the URL.
Of course I have post-notifs on for (url) — I have to be the first one to reblog their post.
My fic-rec blog has become a (url)-blog instead.
Examples for consumers (even anons can be kind!):
(url) gives such incredible feedback and always hypes me up when I post.
I constantly see (url) in my notifs — I love how much they enjoy my content!
(url) may be a silent reader but I always know they're the first to like the latest update.
(url) is just the sweetest — they always leave supportive asks in my inbox.
My list of anons keeps growing and it never fails to warm my heart when they drop in and check on me.
(url)'s tags never fail to make me laugh.
Examples for kpop idol groups/soloists:
(name)'s visuals knock me out.
I listen to (name)'s music every time I'm sad and they cheer me up so much.
I've been a fan of (name) for (x amount of time) — their music has been with me for so long.
(fandom name) are so proud of (name).
The talent that (name) exudes is other-worldly.
Stanning (name) was the best choice I ever made.
Even though I found (name) by accident, I've never been more glad.
Reminder: we only post SFW asks — no thirst or NSFW will be allowed as well as any boundaries between fan and idol overstepped.
General/Misc. Examples:
I vibe so well with (url) — I cannot believe we've become this close!
The interactions between (url1), (url2), etc. are so cute.
(url1) and (url2) etc. run (network url) really well — there's only positive vibes.
I love (url)'s blog layout.
Becoming a kpop fan was the best decision I made in my life. (LOL)
Additional notes:
Constructive criticism is a helpful way of giving feedback that provides specific, actionable suggestions. Rather than providing general advice, constructive criticism gives specific recommendations on how to make positive improvements. Constructive criticism is clear, to the point and easy to put into action. (source)
Positivi-Tea Party does not recommend sending constructive criticism through our blog nor do we suggest sending unsolicited constructive criticism to content creators. However, constructive criticism is a positive reinforcement — when the time, place, and tone are all correct.
It's recommended to give constructive criticism only if a content creator specifically asks for it. Otherwise, it might feel like an attack or simply unwarranted/unwanted 'advice'. Content creators do a majority of their content for free and just to put it out there, so it is recommended to use caution and be sensitive when offering your opinion.
Here's just a few pointers when offering constructive criticism as well as receiving it!

Chief (Part 1/3)
Sam x Reader
Word Count: ~1570
Warnings: Sam’s hotness beard of sex, which has been known to cause melted panties and spontaneous human combustion. Dom/bratty sub relationship. No sex, but lots of teasing and foreplay.
A/N: Because... beard. That beard (and the confident, authoritative Sam behind it) makes me want to be aaaaalll sorts of bratty. This was written for my own 2K(inky) Celebration! If you’d like to join in,  please check out the guidelines and send me an ask! You can still take the “brat/brat tamer” prompt, too, if you want; it’s open, I’m just trying to write something for every item on the list, in addition to letting people sign up.
Tumblr media
You watch from the library door for a moment before you make your presence known. Sam’s on the phone with one of the Apocalypse World hunters, and even though his back is to you, you know the face he’s making right now: brow furrowed, mouth a thin unhappy line under the scruff you’ve become so fond of, as he flips through yet another book and tries to solve yet another problem. It’s been over an hour since he said he would come to bed.
He finally hangs up and lets out a long, frustrated sigh, running his hands through his hair.
“Sam?” you call softly. He turns in his chair.
“I thought you were going to sleep,” he says. His eyes flick over your outfit: worn-to-shreds tank top, so thin it’s translucent, and the stretchy short-shorts he loves to see you in.
“Missed you, though.”
“I’ll be done soon,” he says, with a strained smile. His eyes aren’t really focused on you; he’s looking through you, still mentally lost in the book.
“I don’t believe you,” you counter.
He sighs, rubbing his forehead. “I just need to finish up. Go to bed, baby.”
“Is that an order, Chief?” you say mockingly.
“Don’t.”
You just tilt up your chin, raise an eyebrow at him.
He raises an eyebrow right back and says, firmly, “Come here.”
You perch on the edge of the table, right in front of him, blocking his view of his book.
“All work and no play makes Sam a dull boy,” you sing-song, and you can see his jaw clench in exasperation.
“I need to -” he starts, but you cut him off.
“I need you, Sam.” You lean forward, and his gaze drops down to your chest, where your nipples are hard and showing clearly through the thin fabric.
“Don’t you have toys for that?”
You bat your eyelashes. “Not the same. You know you’re the only one who can really take care of me.”
He’s trying to keep up the stern facade, but he’s smirking. He licks his lips. You fight the urge to tackle him onto the nearest flat surface.
“Don’t worry, princess,” he says, low and promising. “I’m going to take good care of you… as soon as I’m done here.”
“Sam…”
“Baby? Go to bed.”
There’s a hint of steel in his voice, and his eyes are really focused on you now, hot and intent. And yeah, the goal here is to get Sam in bed, relaxed, and asleep, as soon as fucking possible, but you’re not exactly dreading what “relaxation” entails, with him. If he’s already strung tight enough to use that voice, it’s going to be a fun night.
You learned a long time ago that Sam won’t take care of himself, when he’s working, but if it’s a matter of taking care of you? He gets off on it, hard, in ways you’re not ashamed to exploit when you need to.
You give him an exaggerated pout. “Can’t I just stay here and keep you company?”
“After the kitchen incident last week? Not a fucking chance.”
You grin. “Mmmm. Yeah, that was fun.”
His phone rings before he can answer. He shoots you a warning look.
“This is Sam,” he says tersely, into the phone.
While he’s listening to the response, you slide off the edge of the table and sidle forward, standing right in front of him, between his legs. He holds up a finger, telling you to hang on, and you grab his hand in both of yours, guiding his outstretched finger to your mouth. You give it a lick, swirling your tongue over the tip. Sam glares and you giggle, sliding down and sucking hard before he yanks his hand away and starts playing with his hair instead. He’s refusing to look at you, staring up at the ceiling instead as he tries to focus on his conversation.
You slide forward and straddle him, settling into his lap and wrapping your arms around his neck. Sam grits his teeth and makes a cut it out sort of gesture. You smile innocently and rock your hips, slightly, just enough to feel the way he’s starting to get hard.
You shift forward, draping yourself over his chest, and go straight for the sensitive spot under his ear. It’s Sam’s kryptonite. You can feel the way his hips jerk up when you give it a nip, but before you can really sink your teeth in and start teasing, he grabs you by the hair and tugs, pulling your head back; the jolt of pain makes you hiss and squirm, struggling against his grip, feeling the sting in your scalp as it pulses in time with the low throb of arousal between your legs.
“‘Scuse me for a second, Maggie?” Sam says. He’s controlling his voice, keeping it even, and you’re pretty sure nobody else would be able to hear the icy undercurrent in the words. He holds the phone away from his mouth.
“C’mon, is that all you got?” you breathe, arching into his grip, wriggling your hips and grinding against his cock. His eyes flash dangerously.
“Stop that,” he hisses, sharp and venomous, and fuck, that voice does things to you. There’s a muscle twitching in his jaw.
“Whatever you say, Chief,” you whisper, smiling.
He tugs on your hair again, hard, lip curling into a snarl, and you can’t help the little whimper that escapes your mouth. You can feel the way his cock twitches, hard and hot through his jeans.
Sam holds the phone to his ear again, scowling. “Sorry, where was I?”
You give him a second to talk. Then you run one hand down his chest and abs, feeling the muscles flex under his shirt. He’s watching you warily, and you hold eye contact as you run your fingers up your own thigh and under the waistband of your shorts. His grip tightens in your hair, but he doesn’t make any real move to stop you. You let out a low sigh of pleasure as your fingers circle your clit.
Sam shakes his head, teeth bared, grimacing in a way you’re all too familiar with; it means he’s furious, he’s barely controlling himself… it means that you are in for one hell of a good time as soon as his hands are free. You shudder at the thought, heat lancing through your core.
“Okay, Maggie, thanks for the update,” Sam says. A thrill of anticipation runs up your spine. “Check in tomorrow? Thanks. You too.”
He hangs up. You hear the phone hit the floor. You work your fingers faster on your clit, panting, watching the way Sam’s eyes narrow, the way his neck moves as he swallows and tilts his head, watching you with an intensity that makes you feel hot all over.
“Behave,” he snaps.
You lift your chin defiantly. “Make me.”
Sam finally lets go of your hair. He catches your wrist instead, tugging your hand out of your shorts, and his other hand grabs your ass, fingers digging into flesh hard enough to bruise. He grinds up, using his grip as leverage to pull you down against him, angle perfect to drag rough friction up the soaked-through center seam of your shorts, and your eyes roll back in your head at the sparking too-good feeling of it. You moan, loud and shameless.
Before you can blink, Sam’s on his feet, taking you with him, and then you’re sprawling back on the table, all the air knocked out of your lungs.
You gasp, trying to catch your breath. Your legs are still wrapped around his waist, and he’s still got one big hand curled around your wrist, pinning it down to the table. It all happened so fast your brain is having trouble keeping up.
“You think it’s fun, teasing me like that?” he growls. You almost say yes, but the word dies in your throat as you look at him. He’s looming over you, chest heaving, eyes smoldering, a tendon straining in his neck.
Sometimes, Sam is so sweet that it’s easy to forget who he is and what he does. It’s easy to forget that this is a man who scares monsters and demons and angels alike.
Now, though? When he’s like this, wild and ferocious, he’s terrifying. He looks like nothing so much as an apex predator, and you feel like prey. You’re aching with how wet you are, clenching around nothing, squirming with how much you need him, but the primal survival instinct in the back of your brain is screaming at you to run.
You don’t run. You stare up at him, dazed, and try to breathe through the dizzying mix of fear and lust that’s making your blood run hot with adrenaline.
“I asked you a question,” Sam says, hoarse.
You shake your head slowly. “No. I’m sorry.”
Sam’s lips curl up in a smile. “Don’t lie to me.”
Before you can answer, he’s bending forward, pulling you up, and somehow he throws you over his shoulder like it’s nothing. He stands, and your head spins at how far away the floor is, suddenly, and how strange it feels to be upside down and out of control. You couldn’t move if you wanted to. You go limp and let him carry you.
“You’re not sorry,” he says calmly, taking long strides toward the door. “But you will be.”

I need help expanding this list! If you have any favorites or fics of your own of your own you don’t see included in this list and you’d like to submit for consideration, please drop me a line.
List updated April 2020. New additions marked with **
Updated during this wild quarantined time, which should serve as a reminder to everyone to APPRECIATE YOUR CONTENT CREATORS! Leave all the comments and kudos to show our love for everything they do. Big thanks to everyone who recommended and/or created content for this amazing ship.
Rated G/K-K+
**Promise by igi_pigi: Thor visits Jane to say goodbye before he leaves for Asgard. Rec: Bittersweet but lovely post-AOU, semi AU pre-Ragnarok. | 1.1k
**Spooky Nights by igi_pigi: "So what is it about?" Thor asks. "Or are we to go in uninformed?"Jane's eyes instinctively flick towards the blank tv screen. Darcy was insistent about it being a horror movie this time - as they serve as "perfect romance fodder", according to the maniac. Jane has decided to go with the recent one, 'The Conjuring'. [Set a few months after Thor2] Rec: Just sweet, dumb, wonderful fluff. Not an ounce of angst to be found. Also Thor learning about Earth is always sweeeeet. | 3.2k
**Stars and Solitude by igi_pigi: It's Jane's first night in Thor's home, however unusual the circumstances. He wishes to show her somewhere. She thinks it's his room. [Set during Thor2] Rec: A nice lil add on, Thor inviting Jane further into his life. | 3.3k
**Can’t Go Back the Same Way You Came by gumbridge: Loki lets go. This is what happens after. (post-film; basically a fixit fic.) Rec: This is pretty Loki-centric, but Jane is fabulously written, the family unit that Loki gets inducted into makes me very happy, and the fosterson is understated but so important and wonderful. | 20k
**spring will come by LadyCharity: As if grieving over the death of her husband wasn't hard enough, Jane has to deal with Thor's angry, bitter, emotionally shot little brother. Rec: This is literally all pain but god it is so good. You can feel the love binding Jane and Loki and Thor and it is so, so well written. Holy shit. | Content Warning: Major Character Death | 12k
the universe in your hand by amonkeysue: For the free day of Fosterson Week 2019, Thor's finally taking the right chance to propose to Jane. Rec: an adorable little bite-sized proposal fic. | <1k
Who Lives, Who Dies by MissChrisDaae: When the dust settles, who is left? Rec: Post-Infinity War, semi-kidfic. Pretty cute, and brings Jane into the story like she should’ve been. | 1.2k
Morning by MissChrisDaae: Thor and Jane's morning is interrupted by their kids. Rec: Fluffy fluffy FLUFFY Jane and Thor with a whole gaggle of children. | <1k
Trending by MissChrisDaae: Jane and Darcy's work session gets a little derailed. Rec: For the Social Media day of Fosterson Week, a fluffy and silly bit, and feeds into the 2012 Avengers Fic nostalgia. | <1k
ever on and on by often_adamanta: Darcy has to correct three separate people at the reception about their relationship, not younger cousin or sister, but college professor and boss and finally best friend. Jane thinks about their surprise, the second glances they give her, and wonders. Rec: Jane deals with the implications of immortality. Her friendship with Darcy is so potent and real in this. | 3k
Before the Thunder Shook Us by niobium: #6, “Is there a reason you’re naked in my bed?” #14, “Hey, I’m with you, okay? Always.” Rec: This is such a wonderful canon-insertion/canon divergence. Just enough fluff and bittersweetness to seem real. | 1k
Private Jokes by MissChrisDaae: Before his return to Asgard, Thor and Jane have a talk. Two years later, Thor misses a chance and Jane has to carry on. Rec: An AOU coda and a Ragnarok fix-it all in one. Feisty Jane and apologetic Thor. My bbs. | 1k
On the Physics of Magical Space Hammers by shinyopals: ‘So what does it mean to be “Worthy”?’ Jane asked. Jane doesn't mind sharing her life with Mjolnir. She just wishes she understood it a bit better. Rec: We’ve all wondered about Mjolnir and worthiness. Jane finally takes the initiative to find out with amazing results. | 4k
Fives Times Jane and Thor Broke Up and One Time They Didn’t by shinyopals: I didn’t know you were in the country, Jane,’ said Jane's grandmother. ‘Of course, nobody tells me anything.’ ‘It’s just a very last minute thing,’ said Jane, which Thor knew to be a lie. ‘I only arrived yesterday-’ another lie, ‘and I’m just on the way to work and thought I’d stop by and see Mom.’ This too was not true. ‘This is my friend Thor,’ she added, almost casually. ‘He’s been helping me with some work so we’re driving into the university together.’ This seemed the most flagrant of all the lies, but Thor decided not to let it show. It's not always convenient to be a relationship, so sometimes Jane and Thor have to make sacrifices. Rec: A giant SUCK ON THIS FEIGE that takes the “Jane and Thor break up” concept to the best possible places. | 12k
Hours Long and Short by shinyopals: The first night, Thor does not sleep. (Written for a post-TDW prompt for Fosterson Week 2017.) Rec: A really wonderful slice of life fic post-TDW. Deals with their trauma so wonderfully, and includes some lovely soft moments. | 4k
#7Days7Hobbies by shinyopals: Thor wants to try out some of Midgard's finest hobbies and turns to Twitter for suggestions. Jane isn't really sure how this is now her life. (Prompt for Day 4: Domestic, for Fosterson Week 2017.) Rec: One of my favorite things that’s ever been submitted for Fosterson Week. I love reading about Thor fully embracing Earth customs, particularly social media, which opal KNOWS is one of my weaknesses. | 5k
A Question of Honor by shinyopals: ‘Paintball?’ said Steve. ‘We could do… that…’ ‘What is that?’ asked Thor. He nuzzled into Jane’s hair. His mead-breath was giving her a headache. ‘It’s a thing- a game… thing. With paint.’ ‘Rogers, stop explaining stuff to Thor, you’re embarrassing me.’ Tony’s voice was remarkably coherent. Must have been drinking sensibly. Bastard. When it comes to deciding whether Earth or Asgard has better warriors, the stakes are high, and Jane is wishing she'd kept her big mouth shut. Rec: TEAM BUILDING EXERCISES FOR THE WIN. | 8k
The Gift Horse by fartherfaster: Sam and Darcy are formally introduced for the first time. Sam says “formally” with some flexibility. And a couch. A couch and a great deal of flexibility. Nevermind, he’s said enough. They met, is what he’s trying to say. Or, Sam's early days with the whole gang. Rec: Mostly a teamfic from Sam Wilson’s POV, which is awesome because how often do you see that. Fosterson is mostly background, but it made me smile so much. | 3k
on the verge of understanding something extraordinary by dirgewithoutmusic: “Jane, you’re an astrophysicist, not a storm chaser,” said Erik Selvig, and he was wrong. She was just an astrophysicist too. (A Jane Foster character study) Rec: I’m relatively certain I read this before and loved it, only it somehow didn’t make the reclist. An amazing, touching, wonderful, stunning portrait of Jane Foster. | 9k
starlight in her eyes by jdphoenix: “You,” she says, voice strong with accusation. “You’re the one who attacked me!” Thor really must laugh at that. “You are the one who attacked me. Or is it considered polite among stars to crash into one another?” Rec: A really awesome take on a Stardust fusion AU. Full of inquisitive Jane and cocky Thor. It gave me really hard vibes from the first Thor film. | 1.2k
a true lady of Asgard by jdphoenix: It's not uncommon for Jane to fall asleep working when she's chasing a new theory or hunting down evidence but the middle of a battle for the future of Asgard is not the time. Rec: Jane becoming a fixture of sorts in Asgard is one of my kinks. Also Jane being friends with Thor’s friends and the people of Asgard. Kink. | 3.5k
Afterwit by RC_McLachlan: Good with patients, bad with relationships. That's what she told Thor before she ripped the name tag from the shirt in his hands and crumbled it in her palm, relishing the way the sticky back clung to her skin before she threw it in the waste bin. She'd never been so right in her life up to that point—the rightest she's ever been was when she decided to offer the crazy blond guy a ride to his mysterious non-satellite in the desert. Or, the one in which Jane and Thor run into Donald Blake. Rec: I am such a sucker for the “running into the shitty ex with the New and Improved Partner” trope and this is that. All of that to such a wonderful degree. | 2.7k
drabbles by freshexes: Rec: Some really fantastic little bits of prose. Great voices of Thor and Jane. Some fluffies, some angst. | 1k
The Good Times are Killing Me by alwaysaprilia: Rec: Modern royals AU. Jane and Thor are perfect in this. The dialogue is sublime, and the interactions made me squee really hardcore. I only wish there was more. | 3.6k
College AU by anthropologicalhands: Rec: It’s kinda more meta/heacanon, but it’s really adorable. | 1k
all’s fair (in love and war) by sweetwatersong: This is what you fight for. This is what you yearn to feel: this moment, this passing of every second, this rush of life and the indomitable strength of the present. Thor is a warrior, born and bred, and he is glad of any battle - and yet, as with all things, even this can change. Rec: A Thor introspect and a really well done second person perspective. | 1k
Five Times Thor Gets His Shirt Off FOR GREAT JUSTICE And One Time He Doesn’t by shinyopals: Sometimes Thor’s armour is more useful when not being worn by him. He definitely doesn’t end up in these situations on purpose. Rec: Please bury me in every single five times fic shinyopals has written. This one might be my absolute favorite. So many fantastic interactions for Thor, not just with Fosterson (which is BEYOND perfect), but the whole team. Plus: naked Thor fighting bad guys in an apron. Also the SamSteve is so strong and I’m in love. | 9.8k
A Discussion of Hypotheticals by shinyopals: Jane and Thor talk about their future. Hypothetically. Rec: I am so glad we’ve made Fosterson Week a thing because this fic is WONDERFUL. Great communication makes me weak, and also so many squee-worthy moments. | 5k
Jane Foster Versus the Internet. Or: Five Times Jane Allegedly Dated An Avenger And One Time She Apparently Did Not by shinyopals: Jane discovers that the internet is The Worst. Rec: It’s the thing I loved so much I made graphics for it because it’s so good. Jane’s interactions with all the Avengers are delightful, not to mention her steady relationship with Thor that is so grounded and real. It’s also freaking hilarious. | 10.4k
Untitled by polyamoryavengers: Rec: Angst and fluff and Jane comforting Thor. *cartwheels into the sun* | 1k
Sexiest ‘Something’ Alive by Niobium: Tony is bound and determined to make sure a human is awarded the title of Sexiest Man Alive (he even has a solid candidate in mind); Jane just wants media outlets to get their science right. Rec: This is absolutely fantastic. Just the right kind of blend of humor, sweetness, and meta criticism ever. | 7.5k
The Hours Filled by websandwhiskers: Ritual and comradery are basic human needs. Rec: Focus on Jane, not a ton of Thor, but pregnant Jane is always a delight. | 1.7k
First Dates? by hariboo: Jane’s not really sure what her and Thor’s first date is? The party or the barbecue? In end does it matter? Rec: I am not a big fan of high school AUs, but if they float your boat, this is definitely worthwhile. | 1.4k | Part of Let’s Be Young Forever series
Of Car Crashes and Coffee by hariboo: “you bumped my car and I’m so piss- oh wow no you’re hot let’s go for a coffee” au prompt. Exactly what it says on the tin. Rec: This made me giggle. Super duper cute. | 1.3k
Tactile Perception by RC_McLachlan: “The day I met you, I knew you would see me.” Her hands find his face, sliding over his jaw, his cheeks, and she brings their foreheads together. “The day I met you, I hit you with my car. Twice.” Rec: *dies quietly* Teasing and cute story telling and just so many good things. | 2k
Clarke’s Third Law by shinyopals: “Of all the people to knock down the stairs, she would pick the practically-seven-foot-tall son of the Minister for Magic who just happens to be the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain.” Jane’s just trying to read every single book in the Hogwarts library in between classes, and she’s not quite sure how Thor happened to her. Rec: I never read Harry Potter but damn it this makes me want to. I just love this. So much. I don’t know how but it happened. I actually really wish there was more? | 3.8k
The Most Daring Prophecies–Dr Jane Foster at TED Talk by Rozilla: A transcript of Jane giving a TED Talk on her experiences of crossing the cosmos, Asgard and her hopes for the future of interstellar travel - as reported on WHIH. Rec: I can’t tell you how badly I wanted this to be real. Fosterson is mentioned a bit, and it makes me smile a lot. | 5.1k
Paradigm Shift by jdphoenix: “Jane’s implementing a ‘new organizational paradigm.’ She does this like once a year, usually when she’s extra stressed. Like after that time your brother messed up NYC.” Rec: cute domestics plus Jane is worthy. | 1.5k
Raging Storm by jdphoenix: Thor knows the moment he touches the hammer that it is not Mjolnir. Rec: A brilliant continuation of Paradigm Shift (above, previously recced) wherein Jane bests Loki and is worthy, plus Jane talking down berserker!Thor. So many of my Fosterson hot buttons. | 4k
Overlap by littlestardust: A moment between Thor and Jane. Alternative summary: Thor is respectful of Jane’s life choices, and also there is cuddling. Rec: Teeny tiny fic, but super cute. | <1k
amazed & confused by tashlae: Dating an alien/god/man who fell from the sky isn’t something to take lightly. Rec: Jane/Darcy centric with lots of talk about fosterson and a kinda sweet moment at the end. | 1k
untitled by ifilovedyouless: jane/thor, modern royals. Rec: Oh my god, the sweetness overload was too much. Also YAS Thor in military uniform. | 1k
Fosterson - dancing by batsonthebrain: Rec: Introspective, sweet, and with a heavy dose of mutual respect. | <1k
Unplanned by hariboo: The first person to hear Jane is pregnant isn’t Thor. It should be, but extenuating circumstances. This happens a lot when it comes to living in Stark Tower. Rec: Very much toeing the crack line. Baby!fic, obviously, plus fabulous Clint, and a semi?redeemed Loki. | 1.2k
clash of the (scientific) titans by anthropologicalhands: Thor brings Tony to meet Jane. Thor admits he probably could have thought it through a little better. Rec: this fic always makes me giggle. Fosterson is mostly background, but the interactions between everyone makes this worth it. | 1k
Through Doors by nayanroo: The Jedi Order knows a good team when they see it, but unfortunately even the best-planned missions always have something go hilariously wrong. That’s when the true strength of any bond is shown. Rec: A Star Wars fusion is always a good idea. The way Jane and Thor play off each other and their bond through the Force is lovely. | 4k
Straight On 'Til Morning by arsenicarcher: Thor and Jane are having a baby. Tony’s conflicted about the whole thing. Rec: Kinda Tony-centric, but I’m always up for a fosterson baby. | 4.4k
hard to keep the rainclouds out by veliseraptor: Rec: A unique view on Thor’s grief and Jane’s struggle to be there for him. Very lovely, very angsty. | 2.1k
Perils of an RPF Life by hariboo: Look, it isn’t that she isn’t excited for Jane, sure she is. But Darcy wonders if Jane ever thinks about that. The fact she’s dating the sexiest E.T. ever. Rec: Darcy’s voice in this is hilarious and touching all at once. Jane and Thor’s caring for each other is so clear and endearing I audibly squeed a few times. | 2k
amazed & confused by tashlae: Dating an alien/god/man who fell from the sky isn’t something to take lightly. Rec: Jane and Darcy friendship is a lot of fun. Jane’s pondering of their relationship seems very characteristic of her. | 1k
On The Unsubtle Nature of Fish Ties by Niobium: Fancy clothes shopping for your alien boyfriend should be easier than this. Or, how Thor got his red velvet jacket. Rec: Fosterson is mostly background, but cute Jane/Darcy/Pepper interaction. | 3.3k
Be Safe by MissChrisDaae: Thor and Jane have a contingency plan for emergencies. Rec: Speculation/AU for Age of Ultron. Baby!fic, and is just so damn cute. | <1k
It All Happens Here by MissChrisDaae: Her very first year of teaching, Jane Foster gets an unusual bonus in the form of one of her students’ extremely attractive father. Single dad and his daughter’s kindergarten teacher au. Rec: super fluffy and just adorable. | 7.5k
Remembrance by Are_you_ever_not_going_to_fall_for_that: Thor and Jane take a walk and come across something that sparks memories. Post The Dark World. Rec: Jane and Thor talk about Loki, and the lack of heavy angst is refreshing. | <1k
Traffic jam by kes: When you’ve been fighting omnicidal aliens and the bureaucracy, a getaway is in order. Unfortunately, flying from A to B isn’t always possible… Rec: domestics. cute domestics EVERYWHERE. | <1k
nothing is ever convenient (except to make things uncomfortable) by anthropologicalhands: After Thor returns, there is still the matter of responding to Richard. Rec: The awkwardness of dealing with Richard made me smile. A very smile inducing fic. | 1.3k
Jane on Top by Rozilla: Jane Foster is asked to lecture at the SHIELD Academy, but she feels her old anxieties and worries begin to creep in- but it’s okay. Darcy has her back, not to mention it appears she has a fan club at the Science and Tech Division of the SHIELD Academy! Rec: An unapologetic Jane-fest, which is my favorite kind of party. Fosterson is background, but very relevant. Darcy is a cool friend. | 4.1k
leave this star crossed world behind by anthropologicalhands: Sif visits Jane with an offering. Rec: Jane/ Sif friendship, and they talk about immortality. Great interactions and insights on fosterson. | 2k
Measured Uncertainties by plushbug: Gap-filler, applying to the 2011 Thor movie. A shot at what might have gone missing from the rooftop scene between Thor and Jane Foster, after his 'rescue’ from the SHIELD base. Fits between “…and Asgard. That’s where I come from.” and “Thank you, Jane." Rec: A good fill for the movies, explains some comic-verse continuties. Curious Jane is a lovely person, and Thor relishes in giving her knowledge. | 4k
halfway between the gutter and the stars by verity: Thor pulls his phone out of his pocket and lifts it above them to capture a picture of the moment, their hair lit by the sun, Jane’s soft smile next to his beaming grin. The Rise filter suits the image perfectly. “I shall title this 'THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE,’” Thor says, typing carefully on the touchscreen. “With the small image of your planet, flanked by sparkling stars." "Well, we abandoned a geocentric model of the galaxy hundreds of years ago,” says Jane. "'THE CENTER OF MY UNIVERSE,’“ Thor says. He amends his caption and selects the options to crosspost from Instagram to Twitter and Facebook. Rec: Okay I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this. So much. I love the world-building that Avengers + social media allows for. Also, cute Thor and Jane and team stuff plus Neil Degrasse Tyson and George Takei. So much good stuff. | 2.2k
Catalysts by Niobium: Meeting people winds up being a catalyzing event in Jane Foster’s life more often than not. Rec: Well-written Jane, and super supportive boyfriend Thor. I love it when he treats her like a genius. | 2.1k
The Reconstruction of the Mind by Niobium: Jane Foster’s introduction to astronomy doesn’t start with a backyard telescope or a shooting star or the arm of the Milky Way strewn across the nighttime sky, but with an Alexandrine woman named Hypatia. Rec: Jane-centric, and very well done, as per usual with this author. Fosterson is more background, but they have some lovely moments. | 4.6k
Asgardian Cautionary Tales for Young Maidens by Niobium: Jane discovers that Asgardian love stories aren’t exactly romcoms. Rec: Jane and Thor sharing love stories. I audibly squeaked at their cuteness. | 2.3k
the new millennia by hoosierbitch: Thor’s life was measured in centuries, not days. Rec: Post-Dark World, very Thor oriented and introspective. Jane helps him through his grief over Loki. Angst on angst. | 1.1k
the drumming inside her by hariboo: she can feel everyone looking at her, waiting for her to break or give up. they don’t understand. she made a promise too. Rec: oh my god Jane being determined, Thor pining a bit, Heimdall being awesome, and a super sweet reunion. | 1.3k
Starchild by empyrean: One night Jane teaches Thor the basics of Western astronomy, and Thor tries to describe Asgard. Then the Bifröst breaks, and Jane isn’t having that. Rec: Jane and Thor bond over the stars, and Jane doesn’t take it sitting down when the Bifrost breaks. Love the simplicity and the power in this. | 1k
There by Barkour: Jane has found Thor and in the finding, she has gone somewhere she’d never dreamed she’d see. Rec: Jane geeking out over Asgard, plus some really cute banter, and Thor being a gent as always. | 1.9k

Important Meals of the Day by hariboo: or alternatively: Five Breakfasts With Jane and Thor and them feeding their family and friends. Which sometimes lately seem to be the same thing. Rec: domestics! Fluff that makes me want to stay there forever! I love this author’s way of writing fosterson. Also Darcy is so great in this. | 6.2k
Fire in the East by Maat: He finds that there are sweeter things than mead and glory and the fierce bright colors and rich textures of Asgard. Rec: Best Thor-being-on-Earth-longer fic that I’ve read. Short, poignant, sweet, and painful. This is beautifully written and left me wishing this was how the canon story could have gone down. | 1.1k
Few So Generous by galaxysoup: After Odin falls into the Odinsleep, Frigga takes up her husband’s spear and the rule of Asgard. Rec: Jane and Thor from an outside perspective, and a different version of events. Though the focus is not on fosterson outright, it is still a very good fic. | 2.7k
we fall like stars by jadeddiva: All that is left of him now is the extra chair pulled up to her makeshift fire pit, which she never sits in and hasn’t had the heart to move. Jane, and the search for Thor and a greater understanding of herself. Rec: A character study of Jane and how Thor affected her life. Lovely and poignant. Fluid writing style. | 3.1k
Not "Functional” or “Elegant” by Niobium: Jane Foster has worked some bad jobs in her career; working with Stark Industries’ R&D is a vast improvement. Rec: Jane-centric, and gives her a great backstory. She and Thor are adorable as always. The author clearly respects Jane as a scientist, so that shows through a lot, which is amazing. | 1.6k
Jane Foster’s High School Reunion by Niobium: Jane Foster has a high school reunion to go to. Rec: Jane and Thor are adorable. Thor is a gentleman, and Jane gets to laugh in the face of a jerk. Very satisfying. | 5k
Nature and Nurture by nayanroo: What’s better than solving a physics problem that may well get you another Nobel Prize nomination? Having a baby on the same day. Rec: Part of an amazing series (full rec with multichapter fics below) but can be read as a standalone. Featuring pregnant!Jane and adorable and far-too-accurate expectantfather!Thor. The fluff is lovely. Features all of the Avengers with some lovely domestics. | 7.4k | Part of in progress series, The Kingsverse
don’t we all want happy endings? by hariboo: Thor is thinking about Jane, Steve cares (because Steve has Feelings about Lost Lady Loves*), and in the end it’s a team effort. Rec: We get the closure on Thor contacting Jane after the events in New York. Sweet and painful and just lovely. | 3.4k
Legacy by me: A generation later, a budding social scientist tries to figure out Jane and Thor. Rec: Because it wouldn’t be a true reclist without a self-plug. Both Jane and Thor have passed away in this fic. | 2k
Rated T
**Heed the Signs by igi_pigi: Thor wakes up from a nightmare. Is it just a dream, or something more? [Post Thor2, Pre Thor3.] Rec: A heavy, meaningful setup to a Thor 3 that never was. | 4.8k
**Heartless by igi_pigi: Everything reminds her of him, it's funny. Wherever she looks, whatever she thinks of, usually and especially to get her mind off him, will eventually lead to him. [Set the night before Jane's date with Richard in Thor2.] For Day 6 of Fosterson Week - 'things that make you think of them' Rec: A really interesting and fabulous rumination from Jane about Thor’s impact on her life. | 1.4k
**Her Healing Touch by igi_pigi: Jane doesn't really realise that the Aesir are a bit relaxed when it comes to physical hurt. And freaks out over what Thor thinks are just petty bruises of battle. Ending with a little confession from Thor. [Set after Thor2] Rec: A neat take on Asgardian culture, love the way Jane’s care connected to Thor’s past. | 2.5k
**Qeryana by Domenika Marzione (domarzione): Thor and his efforts to live on Midgard, as opposed to just defending it. Rec: Thor’s visceral struggle of living in a culture not his own, but is ultimately still hopeful and positive. | 3k
**First and Foremost, Red by RC_McLachlan: There's a reason Jane and Thor break up. It's not a great one but it's the right one. In the year that follows, Jane carries on, doesn't win a Nobel Prize, defeats Thanos and saves the universe, and finally allows herself to be a little selfish. Rec: YAAAAAS I want ALL the Jane Saves Everything in Infinity War/Endgame fic. ALL OF IT. It’s so satisfying and good. | 9.7k
**Gangráðr, Faðmbyggvir Friggjar by tsukinofaerii: Less than a week before her wedding, Frigga warns Jane of ancient Asgardian rituals she and Thor must undergo before her marriage ceremony. Jane and Thor call on their friends for help as they face what might be the challenge of their lives. Rec: Just an absolute fucking delight from start to finish. Hilarious and amazing. Absolutely the best of the 2012-era Avengers fics. | 19.1k
The Courage of Stars by always_a_queen: Half the universe turns to dust. Thor goes to find the one person who is his whole universe. Thor/Jane Post-Infinity War and during/after Endgame. Spoilers for both movies and Ragnarok. Rec: god this is so heartbreakingly perfect. A wonderful fix it that gives a perfect little taste of what we might’ve had if Jane had been rightfully included in these movies. Jane does pass away at the end of the fic. | Content Warning: Major Character Death | 4.3k
Family Values by shinyopals: ‘It would have been kinder to leave me dead,’ Loki informs her one day. Jane Foster, who’s just revoltingly kissed Thor goodbye, told him she loves him, and called him a disturbing pet name, snorts derisively. ‘He brought you lunch; quit whining,’ she says. Loki isn't sure how he feels about his family, these days. Rec: The best take on Loki ever. His relationship with Jane is fabulous, and the interplay between him, Thor, and Jane is AMAZING. What a freakin treat this fic is. Post-Infinity War AU. | 3k
The Second Law of Thermodynamics by shinyopals: ‘What have you done?’ he asks. He still attempts to sound grave, but with Jane it is hard not to give into smiles.‘Done? I haven’t done, well. I mean. I have done some things. But it’s not bad. I was just curious! And nobody stopped me. I mean, they even welcomed me. So. I didn’t do-’‘Jane,’ he interrupts, laughing and leaning down to plant a kiss on her mouth. ‘You are absurd. I missed you. Tell me.’ Rec: Pardon me while I try to physically scream this fic into existence. It’s perfect. Jane loves science, and Thor loves Jane. Post-Thor 2. | 1.8k
Storm Warning by shinyopals: Then he strides to her and presses a kiss to her lips, taking her face in his hands as he does and holding her close. ‘You planned this?’ he asks. ‘Your morning’s work was not astrophysics, then?’She gives a guilty smile. ‘I wanted to, you know, surprise you.’ Thor gets ~romanced. He kinda likes it. Rec: GOD THE FLUFF. THE. FLUFF. PURE AND GOOD. | 3k
Sakaar by MissChrisDaae: Jane's been stuck on Sakaar for a year and a half. So Asgardians are a welcome sight. Rec: A really original way to get Jane involved in Ragnarok. Jane + science for the win. | 1.3k
Lab by MissChrisDaae: Thor likes spoiling Jane. Rec: For the Jane on Asgard day of Fosterson Week, a short and sweet lil tidbit! | <1k
Domesticity by MissChrisDaae: Little moments around Avengers Tower. Rec: I literally gasped in delight with how much this made me nostalgic for the fluffy Avengers Living in the Tower fics of 2012. | <1k
The Prince(ss) and Me by asoulofstars, MissChrisDaae: Prince Thor of Asgard just wants a little time to feel normal before he has to marry the mysterious Princess Jana of Ameos. So, he runs away from home and enrolls at Harvard University as Donald Blake, where he meets Jane Foster. Jane is clever, kind, and everything he wants, but can never have.Princess Jana of Ameos has spent her whole life studying incognito, getting the best global education possible under the alias of Jane Foster and trying not to think about romance, or the fiancé waiting for her back in Europe. Then Don Blake comes along and throws that plan out the window. Rec: A funky Modern Royals AU. Charming in some nice ways, and I like the slow-building tension. | 17k
Misunderstandings by writerblocked: She looks up at Thor, who grins warmly at her, and looks at their surroundings again. “This isn’t my apartment,” she says. Thor’s grin grows wider. “I know,” he says back. Rec: Newlywed!Fosterson fluff. | 1.8k
Turtures in Aeternum by shinyopals: ‘Legend tells that some unlikely souls are known to pause in their work for reasons of leisure,’ deadpans Thor. ‘History does not say what trials they faced.’ Asgardian science is giving Jane a headache. Thor persuades her to take a break to see some of the sights with him. Rec: Asgardian worldbuilding (literally) via Fosterson field trip. I love everything in this. | 5.5k
Five Times the Bad Guys Interrupted Thor and Jane's Date Night and One Time Tony Freaking Wishes They Had by shinyopals: ‘I have told Steve,’ Thor says to Tony as he’s leaving to go back to his rooms, ‘but I thought I should tell you also. Jane and I plan to institute the ritual of ‘Date Night’.’ As always, Thor sounds like someone’s severely uncool father trying to be hip when he uses any slang invented since the Civil War. Tony's been an Avenger long enough to avoid deliberately tempting fate, even if he doesn't actually believe in fate. The universe is just plain cruel. That's why he knows to be prepared for the worst Hydra can throw at them whenever Thor and Jane make evening plans. Rec: IT’S SO FUDGING CUTE. I CAN’T. IT’S CUTE AND HILARIOUS AND PERFECT AS ALWAYS. | 4.7k
Unexpected Arrival by shinyopals: ‘Jane-’ Thor cut himself off, opening and closing his mouth without managing words. Her name on his lips sounded so familiar; warm and deep and like nothing else mattered. An undercurrent of nerves there that she could still hear after all this time, that she didn’t think anyone else would be able to. She wanted to run to him, bury her face in his neck and jump back in time. Back before the break up - not enough time for each other with the universe in peril. Back before the baby. The baby she still sometimes wondered if she should have terminated to save them both this moment. Rec: The angsty and painfully yearning babyfic that you never knew you needed. | 2k
Steadfast as the Stars Above by jdphoenix: It was not meant to be like this. With him so small and weak, fighting every second to find purchase on a tiny world that spins faster than he can fathom. He wanted to be strong for her. Rec: A fabulous use of the Soulmate AU that completely slots itself perfectly into canon. | 8.3k
too poor for silver, i have a copper tongue by venndaai: “Maybe you don't have the perfect words all the time but, you always have something to say, right? You never have to, have to stop and think about it, and you never stumble over your words or anything.” He squinted at her. “I thought such things simply aspects of Midgardian speech, which you know I am not well versed in.” Jane sighed. “They're not supposed to be.” Rec: A story featuring an explicitly autistic Jane Foster. So wonderfully done. Full of empathy and love and kindness and warmth. | 1.3k
Gift by spikewriter: Jane looked at the brightly colored rug on the floor of the farmhouse in the Hudson Valley they were still moving into. “I like it,” she admitted with a bit more enthusiasm, picturing how her six-year-old self would have run screaming around the room in glee at such a gift. Rec: Some post-TDW fluff with bonus Darcy inclusion. | 1.5k
to candle incandescent as you pass by sweetwatersong: The legacy of King Tristan and the Star Queen Yvaine is not a mere tale in Stormhold, a fantastical portion of the kingdom's history. It lives and breathes in the blood of their descendants, in their long lives and graceful aging, in the ruling King Odin and his son, the Crown Prince Thor… Rec: A Stardust/Huntsman/Thor fusion that isn’t so much a full fic as it is, as the author describes, “a sketch.” Still a really lovely read, a great blend of the films. | 5k
Raiment of The Gods by randomcelt: They say the clothes make the man ... or the god. But sometimes, they do the most for his friends. (Or, a tale of all the times someone else wore Thor's clothes and the adventures necessitating such a development.) Rec: A great Thor character piece. A heavy emphasis on Thor + the team which I love. Runs you through the full gamut of emotions in the best way. | 10k
How to Quantify by Rozilla: It turns out Jane has a personal top ten list of favourite equations - and a nice expanse of hot Norse God to write them on. Rec: Super sweet and also contains the phrase ‘who said science never got you laid’ so. Yep. | 2k
this new bravery by hoosierbitch: For alfadorisawesome, who requested Thor/Jane “about to hook up with someone who doesn’t know.” This is my favorite piece so far. <3 Rec: Incredibly well done Trans Jane Foster. I am such a sucker for open lines of communication between partners, and that’s exactly what this is. Thor is incredibly sweet, and this story establishes his very nonbinary opinions on gender which I LOVE, but he still makes an effort to understand Jane’s experience. I love this fic so much. | 1k
The Hammer and the Ice by grav_ity: In the course of her short and mortal life, the heart of Jane Foster has been twice touched by the sons of Asgard. Rec: I adore AUs where Jane was in the Avengers. This is a short flashfic, but really lovely. | 1k
A Royal Wedding by MissChrisDaae and Science_Thunder_Lightning_Love: After three years, ten months, an alien invasion, a cosmic event, and a baby, Thor and Jane finally make it to the altar. Rec: Ridiculously cute fluffies. | 7.5k | Part of the Convergence series
The Thunder God Job by fuzzy_paint: Jane and Thor are thieves. Rec: Oh lawd, the AU I never knew I needed. Beautiful characterization with a rich world they’re placed in. I only wish it was 200 chapters. | 16.2k
there was a star danced by tosca1390: This is the familiar rhythm of her days; the coffee shop until one pm, five days a week, then class and the lab, then home or the library. Here, in her last year with a future dark ahead of her, she doesn’t see anything to change her ways. Jane and Thor, meeting at a coffee shop. Rec: College/Coffee Shop AU. Bless the AU gods. Sly little Shakespeare references. Thor and Jane being cute, sweet idiots. | 6.2k
Proximity Alarm by fayedartmouth: Thor comes back to Earth. Jane thinks it’s great. Except all the times it isn’t. Rec: It’s a great writing style. Jane and Thor are awkward, adorable, and passionate in a realistic way. Them navigating how to be together is a challenge that not all authors can rise to, so this is a great piece. So much yes. | 13.7
Never So Empty by iwillavengeyou: Thor has traveled the nine realms and seen many things in his centuries of godhood. What could possibly make everything seem so empty? Rec: Wow, just no. This hurts. This is not cool. Ow. Ow. Transcends angst and ends up somewhere much worse. Read if you’re into self-flagellation or are making a reclist. I literally yelled “Wow rude” at the conclusion of this fic. Major Character Death | 1.5k
An Ancient Gesture by Niobium: Jane and Thor come up with a tradition for dealing with situations where a social function gets to be a little too much for either of them. Rec: Super smiley, stomach flutter inducing fic. Fluff upon fluff, but also Asgard culture/worldbuilding! Yay! | 2.8k
Five Times Jane Kinda Sorta Accidentally Slept With An Avenger, The One Time She Didn’t, And the Many (Many) Times It Wasn’t Even a Little Accidental by shinyopals: Some people collect Avengers trading cards. Some collect action figures. Jane Foster, almost entirely without meaning to, has them all beat. Rec: If you’re not convinced by that title and summary, I’m not sure I can help you. Hilarious, in character, and kinda cute. | 9.3k
Well Remembered by Rozilla: Jane’s met Tony Stark before. Rec: Cracky and hilarious. | 1.1k
you may end up wanting more from this life by tosca1390: Everything is cold where it was once warm, and Jane is at a loss. Rec: Not sure why I haven’t put this beautiful thing on here yet. Deals with their separation, and a great character study of Jane. Angsty. | 1.6k
The Hearts of Stars and Thunder by MissChrisDaae, Science_Thunder_Lightning_Love: Rec: A Snow White and the Huntsman/Thor fusion. Really great use of characters, and all of the medieval battles and fosterson abound. | 7.7k
You Get One Phone Call by MissChrisDaae: Following the Battle of Manhattan, Jane gets a phone call. Rec: Post-battle strain, but then suddenly fosterson cuteness hits you like a wrecking ball. | <1k
Abs of Thunder by Unknownnobody32: During a flight on-board Stark’s jet, Jane learns how turbulence, pasta sauce, her Thunder god boyfriend, and his rock hard abs can soon become a recipe for embarrassment all thanks to bad timing. Rec: Takes washboard abs to another level. God, this is just too funny. | 2.1k
London, underground by Maybug: Clint Barton meets some familiar faces and has a very bad day hunting the jotunbeast left behind in London after the convergence. Rec: an awesome outside POV on fosterson, plus badass science Jane and her science assistant Thor, and awesome Clint. | 2.6k | Part of the Fosterson Files series
We have loved the stars to fondly by Maybug: Jane and Thor are up to something on the roof of the Tower. Tony thinks he knows what it is, but doesn’t see why he should be the one to tell them to stop. Rec: Outside POV of fosterson. Basically Thor does cute/dangerous things for Jane’s happiness. | 1.8k | Part of the Fosterson Files series
change places by coffeesuperhero: Jane and Thor get in the way of a Stark experiment. This goes about as well as you might expect. Rec: Body swap madness. So many cute moments though, plus some implied sexytimes with swapped bodies “for science.” So much yes. | 3.1k
Slowly, We Adjust by katsumi: Jane Foster leaves the lab on Friday exhausted, overworked, and petrified that she won’t get the grant proposal for her wormhole experiment finished in time to get funding. So, of course she gets rear-ended, because that’s just the kind of week she’s having. Rec: Protective/Worried Thor is best Thor. Reassuring Jane is best Jane. So much angst/cute. | 1.4k
Put a Ring on It by fuzzy_paint: Jane makes Thor a wedding ring. Rec: What it says on the tin. | 3.9k
The Pretty Birds Have Flown by beanarie: "Jane never pukes, not when she first wakes up, not at any other time of day. She has a cast-iron stomach and wicked stable inner ears, and morning sickness doesn’t stand a chance.“ The one where Thor knocked Jane up that night they chilled on the roof, and offscreen Frigga swore Heimdall to secrecy in the interest of protecting everyone involved. The All-Father’s house has a lot of enemies, okay. Rec: Heartbreaking, fluffy, and feelsy. Batten down the emotional hatches. | 2.2k
Jane Foster and the Impossible Library by Niobium: Jane, Darcy, and Thor find a peculiar library, and their afternoon takes a turn for the bizarre. Rec: This one’s wild from start to finish (I say that lovingly), but as always, Niobium delivers on fantastic characterizations. Not super-duper shippy, but so worth the read. | 12.4k | Part of the Jane Foster Works series
Northern Climes by Tyranusfan: Six months after the Avengers saved New York from the Chitauri invasion, Thor must convince Odin to return him to Earth. Rec: Jane and Thor doing cutesy couple-y things. The author captures well the eager awkwardness of a new couple while remaining true to their characters and story. | 4.3k
nowhere to go but up by anthropologicalhands: It is not uncomfortable, waking up with Thor’s arm draped over her waist, their legs entangled under the sheets. It is inconvenient when she wants to get out of bed or, at the very least, look over last night’s data. Rec: So very fluffy it makes me want to roll in it. Adorably domestic, too. Jane at her scienceing finest. | 2.3k
Late Night Waiting by hariboo: Jane didn’t often get home late. Rec: A very sweet and simple Jane/Thor that makes their relationship seem very grounded and real. Also, it is so sweet it makes my teeth hurt, and then I just want more. | 2.1k
Uru by sheffiesharpe: Thor cannot look after Jane, no matter how he wants to. Hogun offers a solution. Puente Antiguo receives another unexpected visitor. Rec: The author makes a really strange concept work brilliantly. Jane and Thor’s pining is frustrating and well-written, and the writing sizzles with unresolved sexual tension. | 6k
Star-Crossed by websandwhiskers: A vignette taking place during "Avengers”, after shawarma, before Thor returns to Asgard with Loki. Thor and Jane have their reunion, and discuss their future. Rec: Jane is an awesome person, and Thor respects the hell out of her. One of the best portrayals of Jane Foster that I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. | 1.7k
The Morning After by fuzzy_paint: "I can’t believe we’re doing this,“ Jane says. "Can you believe we’re doing this?" Rec: Even without much in way of dialogue, Jane and Thor’s devotion is plain. We get a little view of domestics, too. | 1.7k
The Observable Universe by Sarea Okelani (sarea): As an astrophysicist, Jane studies the observable universe for work, but in her free time what she likes to study is a bit closer to home. (Or: Jane has a low tolerance for stupidity. Clint and Natasha take exception to being called stupid.) Rec: Not a ton of overt Jane/Thor, and is mostly an outsider POV on Clint/Natasha, but there is lots of team shenanigans and there is definitely a lot of affection for Thor from Jane’s POV. | 10k
Deal by GreenVelvetCurtains: Jane introduces Thor to the great Midgardian tradition of being made to remove your clothing when you lose a hand of poker. Everybody wins! Rec: I got a huge kick out of this one. Toeing the line of becoming crackfic. Oh, how I wish there was a smutty follow up. | 2k
Before the Fall by verily-thor: Jane helps Thor prepare for Ragnarök. Rec: Oh god, if you’re in the mood for some sadness, come on in here. Tragic without being grotesque, stripping it down to the bare emotions, and two people who love each other more than anything. | <1k
top gun is not a movie; it’s a lifestyle by hariboo: jane and thor got that loving feeling. Rec: an AU that is reminiscent of Top Gun, which is a fab movie. Awesome Jane, and adorable Thor. | 2k
A Brief Introduction to Asgardian Dinner Parties by jonesandashes and pentapus:  This is the first Earth-Asgard bonding opportunity since that time Loki punched interstellar relations in the face, twice, and the king and queen of Asgard are here, and they are her boyfriend’s parents. Jane is absolutely not going to get drunk at this party, is the point. Rec: This fic makes you smile, then laugh, then cringe, then do it all over again. | 4.5k
Destiny, Disrupted by me: Loki never sends the Destroyer to Midgard. Rec: Because it wouldn’t be a true reclist without a self-plug. | 3.5k
Rated M (these won’t contain the smuts unless otherwise noted)
**The Teardrop by igi_pigi: Post-Infinity War reunion of Thor and Jane. Forewarning - heavy angst. [Set right after the movie] Rec: Angst, melodrama, and desperation ahoy. Contains some smut | 4.2k
all the best distractions by fuzzypaint: They've found a rhythm when they share Jane's lab, Jane with her science and Thor with his own work, and though it is easy to be distracted by each other, usually they're both very capable of avoiding such things. Usually. Rec: Cunniligus in the lab ;) | Contains smut | 1.8k
Patience and Poker by Rozilla: Jane and Thor sneak off from one of Stark's parties for a quiet chat. Nope, just kidding, hot tub sex. Snarky hot tub sex. Best kind. Rec: What it says on the tin and it’s delightful. | Contains smut | 4k
A Deal with the Duke: An Epilogue by hariboo: Thursdays were busy days around the house, but today was the first day of winter much. Thankfully, the skies were clear, without a hint of storm, but the wind was sharp and bit into his cheeks. He was looking forward to a warm meal and seeing his wife, curling around her in bed for rest of the evening. Rec: Historical romance AU. A nice slice of life bit. Contains minor smut | 2.8k
Ray of Light by evieeden: To Thor, Jane shone brighter than any star in the sky. Advent fic for 18th December. Rec: A sweet, introspective fic from Thor’s POV. | 1.5k
just memories to hold by tosca1390: When the dust and light and smoke clears, the roof of Stark Tower is still intact. Jane can still feel the surge of power in her fingertips, thinks she could hear the songs of Asgard, feel the chill of Jotenheim, as the bridge built itself through Yggdrasil, Thor calling her name across realms. And then, a shadow falls over Jane. Rec: A really, really great post-Avengers reunion fic. Contains some smut | 3.6k
set with the stars by hariboo: jane tries to teach thor earth’s stars. tries, being the operative word. Rec: Jane and Thor getting distracted by each others’ sexy is my favorite thing. Contains some smut | 1.5k
It Could Be Sweet by hariboo: Jane and Thor traverse their last year of high-school. However, they didn’t expect it to be together. Rec: I am not a big fan of high school AUs, but if they float your boat, this is definitely worthwhile. Contains some smut | 7.8k | Part of Let’s Be Young Forever series
Thunder Whispered Low by Niobium: Rec: I love it when Thor talks about his magic, and the bridge that makes between him and Jane. Contains minor smut | 1.5k
Specularity by Niobium: Jane’s bad day improves significantly with a little reflection. Rec: A great slice of life fic, really, really nice interactions. Contains very minor smut | 3k | Part of the Jane Foster Works series
My Blood is Singing by Niobium: Sometimes Thor pushes a storm a little too far. And, sometimes, the storm pushes back. Rec: Jane and Thor at their domestic finest, with some internal angst and the simple comfort found with another person. Contains smut | 2.9k
All my faces are alibis by agirlnamedchuck: Thor is strong and stubborn and she thinks she could be a good king. Maybe even a great one. Besides she’d never seen herself as queen anyways. Rec: Genderswapped Thor. Fosterson is minimal, but amazing insights into Thor’s character. | 6.5k
Leaving On An Airship by Rozilla: To escape to a better life, Jane Foster, maid to a cruel villainous Baron, must leave her lover and disguise herself. But not before one last goodbye. Rec: *cartwheels into the sun* FOSTERSON STEAMPUNK WITH SMUT AND FEELINGS OH GOD SEND HELP. Contains some smut | 2.6k
Unrememberance by letthesongtakeflight: Before he became the Huntsman, he was a prince. Rec: Marvel/Snow White and the Huntsman fusion. Prequel of sorts to SWatH. Angst on angst. Major character death | 1.2k
steal my heart 'til kingdom come by tosca1390: Her eyes stray over reading upon reading; she thinks she can taste the tang of energy and ozone even now, and that strange sense of pine and smoke that she associates with Thor. Rec: AU post-Avengers where Thor goes to visit Jane who has remained in New Mexico. Yay for a great collision of two characters who absolutely did not prepare for any of this. Contains some smut | 2.1k
fingerprints that leave me covered for days by tosca1390: It is not all lost, to be stranded here. Perhaps, he could make something of it. Rec: Another AU in which Thor is on Earth longer in the first movie. Great development for Thor, and the relationship he has with Jane feels very real. | 5.5k
journeys end in lovers’ meeting by tosca1390: Solitary moments in snow; it sounds conducive to rest, to a time of rejuvenation before her research resumes. Rec: A really cute AU based on the movie The Holiday (which I’ve never seen before). Just adorable holiday fluff wherein Thor is human. Contains some smut | 19k
Bound by Medie: It was ironic that his and Loki’s greatest mistakes had led to her. Rec: Some tame bondage featuring dom!Jane. Contains smut | 1.1k
Rated E (these will contain the smuts unless otherwise noted)
**Ambush by orphan_account: Jane isn't into violence, but there's something about those SHIELD debriefings, something primal and raw about hearing how the bad guys got their asses handed to them by the good guys, something that inspires her to act on instinct alone. Rec: If you’ve got a thing for Thor’s armor.... mmmhmmm. | 1.1k
Is This More than You Bargained for Yet by Anshin Archives: Thor and Jane's first go at sex. Jane's expecting Thor to have a cock, and is surprised when he doesn't. It doesn't take her long to adjust. (Pure porn for the excuse of writing Thor with a vagina.) Rec: Genderfluidity and completely accepted queerness for the win. | 2.5k
When Jane Pegged Thor by waldorph: They raise them slutty in Asgard. Rec: What it says on the tin. Pretty damn hot if pegging is up your alley ;). | 1.4k
Practical Magic by Rozilla: Freya’s flowers can do funny things to you. Rec: Roz is the queen of smut so this is amazing. Kind of a play on sex pollen, but takes it in a totally new, refreshing direction. Asgardian sex magic for the win. | 2.8k
built on the old rivers by fartherfaster: You catch her wrist and delicately kiss the bone of it. “Nothing to be sorry for,” you tell her. She composes her reality in absolutes and theories and the true phenomenal names of things. Colloquial language is not her means of communication. You like her hard lines, her curiosity, her determination. Jane would never call Mjolnir just a hammer, and that puts a small, needy part of you to rest. There is a storm in the desert, and Thor comes to terms with all of his changes. The one where human-Thor has Lichtenberg figures. Rec: Incredibly poignant and the author makes a second-person POV work incredibly well. | 3.3k
Tell Me Something New by hariboo: "Compile the data of the reading we took during Convergence. The gravitational–“ She trails off, can’t finish the sentence out loud or in her mind, her voice catching on the words as Thor’s mouth latches onto her throat. Rec: Cute and hot and perfect because smart Jane is Thor’s biggest turn on. | 1.5k
On the Throne by murdur: His insistence that she should sit on the throne had been in jest and merriment, but the sight of her sitting upon the seat now makes his heart beat quick and steals his breath. Rec: Oh my god, Thor goes down on Jane while she sits on the throne of Asgard. I have nothing else to say. *dies* | <1k
Experience Counts for Something by Rozilla: Jane was surprised at Thor’s new female body- but pretty keen to explore it. Rec: Bisexual Jane and Genderfluid Thor are great. Some hot femslash fosterson. | 2.3k
Just Get In The Van by paxnirvana: Written for a prompt on Anenko’s Bad Sex & Awkward Romance: a comment-a-thon that got away from me. Rec: All first time sex is gonna be awkward, friends, even if you’re Jane and Thor. Might as well enjoy the ride. | 6.3k
close your eyes and count to ten by fuzzy_paint: Post battle, Jane and Thor make sure the other still lives. Rec: Reassurance of safety sex is hot. Sue me. Still manages to be angsty too. | 2.4k

Rec: post-TDW sexies that are adorable and awkward and hot all at once, plus some really nice conversation at the end. This author just really gets Jane and Thor in a way that is always awesome to read. | 3.7k
A Helping Hand by fuzzy_paint: Jane can’t sleep. Thor has a solution. Rec: Some nice, cute sleepy!smut to help Jane to relax and stop thinking. | 1.5k
The Scientific Method by Serious Snugglebunnies: Thor is much too honourable to have meaningless sex with Jane - but will he do it for the sake of science? Rec: Cracky, hilarious, and hot. | 3.3k
A Thorny Situation by GreenVelvetCurtains: Jane has a problem and she’s not afraid to try and solve it. Rec: A hot fantasizing/masturbation piece starring the lovely Jane Foster. | 2.7k
Detours by ancarett: Life is a highway. Jane takes Thor on the detours. Missing moments from the movie. Rec: Some mildly awkward sex which is actually kind of adorable and works out for everyone in the end. Not my favorite smut ever, but worth a read. | 3.9k
Say It’s Okay by theleaveswant: Darcy gave her a sympathetic pout and walked around the table to put both hands on Jane’s upper arms. “Okay. Honey? I know this isn’t your preferred way of handling things, but it looks like you’re going to have to talk with him.” Rec: Big premium on 'consent is sexy.’ Jane teaches Thor how to pleasure her. Not my favorite smut, but worth a read. | 2.1k
Accretion by RC_McLachlan: "You are burning inside,” Thor whines, rolling his hips again, and she rides it out helplessly, eyes rolling back, lungs cramping with envy for air. “Like a star." Rec: A seriously hot look at the simple difference in size between Jane and Thor. | 1.6
Salt On Your Lips by Barkour: The strawberry daiquiri is indeed a drink worthy of adulation, but Thor prefers the taste of Jane Foster. Rec: For it’s sense of fun that comes with the sex, and the pure happiness of two people who simply enjoy being in each other’s company. | 2k
Good Morning by me: Jane wakes up with Thor between her legs.My addition to Fosterson Week’s smut day. Rec: Because it wouldn’t be a true reclist without a self-plug. | 2k

Hey hey, thanks for the worries anon! Mina of mvcreates/Violet Vineyard and I were properly talking as friends for only a few months quite a long time ago. Emotionally I’m completely fine, but I do have stuff to say and I do want to help document things if any of it is useful in any way. A lot of it will be dry because it’s just documenting, but some of it will be “juicier” I guess, and I’d like to corroborate some of the things my friends are saying. I’ll put this under the cut for people who don’t want to scroll through all this and/or have no idea what I’m talking about and want to keep it that way!
You guys can check @nuwuhorizons‘s blog to see what exactly is going on and I believe they’re also reblogging some things others who were members are saying. The case of people dogpiling a 19-year-old trans person and making fun of their name is on the blog (post here, wayback machined here).
I can corroborate a bunch of what @rrrawrf-writes (post here, wayback machined here) and @gingerly-writing (post here, wayback machined here) have said. I backread through the interaction that Ginger talks about in her post (of course not the DMs, but the interaction itself).
I know some people may be confused about why Ginger only has that one screenshot of what she said and may not see that as full evidence, but Violet Vineyard had a super strict “don’t screenshot and post anything” with lots of scary looking legal stuff attached to it policy and, well, Ginger can’t be sharing stuff without anyone’s permission if it’s just the message she herself sent, but they’d have grounds to take god knows what action with what backing against her if she posted something else. But, well, for what it’s worth, as someone who read through that conversation a little after it happened, it was certainly a case of dogpiling and left a bad taste in my mouth, and it strikes me as really odd that the mods would try to shut someone down like that.
I haven’t really been doing stuff in writeblr lately as you can probably tell from my blog, but yeah, Mina herself and a lot of people in that particular friend group of hers, as Lisa mentions, have just disappeared off Tumblr. I can also attest to the dogpiling tendencies and this Mina Is Always Right tendency, and the fervor with which people would defend her.
I was honestly never close enough to Mina to be in that friend group. She and I were only really talking to each other for a few months over a year ago. I don’t think I was “writeblr-y” enough to fit in with them. I was also not super active in that server. I didn’t post much about my wips because I in general don’t think I really post a lot about them. Therefore I didn’t get like, massive benefits off of the whole “network” thing, but  I’d reblog some stuff when I saw it. I was probably most known for posting pictures of my plants, lol. And I would occasionally hop in to talk briefly about kpop with like, one person? (They went by Kay and their url was like, lvcrezia? lvcrezias? Something like that.) In fact, probably the last thing I ever said in that server was a super quick conversation about Red Velvet’s “Monster” music video around the time it dropped.
In fact, for the sake of being super transparent/establishing credibility, and for documenting purposes, I’ll list all the non-plant-pictures and non-kpop conversations I can remember actually participating in. Some of these will lead off into bigger topics, and I’ll specify those. But first, a word.
TO ANY OF THE FORMER MODS WHO MIGHT COME AFTER ME FOR SAYING THINGS ABOUT THE SERVER, SINCE THIS HAS APPARENTLY HAPPENED TO OTHERS: The server is deleted, and so is the text of the whole “contract” (yes, really) that people had to agree to in order to join VV. I remember that the agreement made sure we didn’t post screenshots publicly, but other than that I genuinely do not remember the text and I have no way of referencing it to keep in line with it since the server is deleted. I do not remember if documenting things like this is against anything I have agreed to, I have no record of the agreement, and I have not been notified of any place to access a record of the agreement before the server was deleted. If my post is some sort of violation, you cannot hold me accountable for rules that I am unable to follow, and I would greatly appreciate not being targeted with empty threats shrouded in scary legal language. If you have any point of contention with what I have said, feel free to take it up either publicly or privately. Please do @ me if it’s specific to me; I’m not really the vagueposting kind. If any of you want me to delete this post, you will need to provide actual proof of the agreement that I made by joining Violet Vineyard, and you will also need to prove that the rules were not edited after I agreed to them. If any of them were follow-up rules not from the beginning of the server, it’s possible that I did not see them and therefore you need to provide proof that I agreed to those, too. In addition, since image editing is what set off this avalanche in the first place hence we’re all aware that there’s software that allows us to edit images and pass them off as an original thing, you’ll need to provide proof that any screenshots/images are undoctored. Furthermore, since the rules have been deleted with the server, as the method I used to agree to follow them, you must prove that my agreement is still valid, since it seems to me it’s been nullified since it’s, well, gone either through deletion or kicking me out alongside everyone else. Tl;dr you don’t scare me lol.
Anyways, back to a list of the non-kpop, non-plant-pics, non-my-wips-promo conversations I can actually remember:
On January 5, 2020, the server had a conversation about Roshani Chokshi’s book The Gilded Wolves. I can give the date because during/in the aftermath of the conversation, which I talked about the book in, Mina DMed me quickly. (This was also the last time Mina ever directly contacted me.) I’ll talk about this later.
In February 2020 I believe I quickly mentioned getting concert tickets.
Either early this year or late last year I think I posted some stuff about landscape photography, with some photos of the beach.
I believe I posted a couple fashion pics at some point?
Back in May 2019 I got some kinda weird asks about Violet Vineyard and I think people were talking about that, and I assume I participated since I was the one who received the asks. At that time VV was like a super new server and didn’t really have much as far as the issues we’ve been talking about go, so I defended it. (I’ll be talking about this later.)
Probably in June/July 2019 people in the server had a discussion about Black Muslim characters and representation, initiated by me for one of my WIPs.
I think we talked about South Asian sweets at some point???
I believe in April/May 2019, there was some stuff in that server reagarding “drama” with Castor who at that time went by the url pilipalea that I honestly don’t remember much of. Castor was never in VV, but I believe they were in a server with Mina at some other point. There was something about grammar and proofreading?? (I’ll be referencing this soon as well.)
I helped someone with their computer science homework at some point.
I asked for r&b music recs at some point either late 2019 or earlier 2020.
I’ve also talked about ethnic clothes I think.
We’ve talked about Hindu nationalism and how awful it is.
I think we’ve talked about tone policing and how woc are often portrayed as “aggressive.”
We’ve talked about health/fitness and exercise.
I recommended Jade City and some other books I’m a fan of in there.
Probably talked about Bollywood movies at some point.
The fact that I can remember probably most of my conversations that lasted more than like, one message in there is, I think, a pretty good testament to a) me having at least a kind of decent memory and b) I wasn’t participating in the server so regularly that the conversations kind of blend together. I know this is all kind of long and dry for anyone who’s here for drama purposes lol, but I did want to establish that I’ve been in that server for quite a while and that I wasn’t monitoring it heavily; in fact, I had it muted very soon after joining it.
I wasn’t super close to anyone that I’d met through VV. People who are friends that I still regularly contact who were in VV with me, I had met through other servers and other interactions on Tumblr. I’ll disclose right now that I have been longtime friends with Ginger, Lisa, and Eff (@time-to-write-and-suffer), who have all come out against VV, and that we are in our own servers with people from writeblr. Ginger and Lisa were both in VV, Eff has never been.
Okay, back to maybe “juicier” stuff.
Mina had always positioned herself almost as this “tumblr mom” type. She’d reference her age a lot, which would contrast a lot with how a significant portion of the members were much younger and, I think, set up the dynamic of people looking up a lot to her and always coming to her defense. After all, we’re talking a bunch of passionate kids who’d found a writeblr network. And the server definitely seemed “legit”; I myself was pretty impressed with just how tightly organized everything was, and like I mentioned, there was fancy legal language to ~protect their rights~ and whatnot. Mina herself seemed so accomplished with so many talents: she’d post her writing and artwork, I believe she’d made a couple pieces of music, she’d work out and keep in shape, she had a seemingly wonderful loving relationship with her husband, she was active in research fields professionally and as an outbreak responder, and she, of course, had a significant online presence as a “big writeblr.” I remember when she’d started blowing up, so soon after her blog had been created, because of her prolific content and friendly persona. People, especially younger ones who had no other writeblr support group, looked up to her and trusted her. And the nature of the server was to shower everyone in praise, so Mina found herself on the receiving end of quite a bit of it. Mina would also actively boost and review other writers’ content, genuinely engaging with it and providing feedback, support, and valuable resources.
Mina also had a tight-knit group of adult friends. Some of them I believe carried over from pre-VV times (incuding CJ of typewriter-jade if I’m remembering correctly, who made fun of the trans person’s name in the reblog chain in the link to nuwuhorizons’s blog), while some were made afterwards. They would act super friendly and familiar with each other, which I think contributed to a lot of people falling into this little “friendship” super fast. They were also authority figures and role models, and tended to agree with each other, so everyone just went along with that.
These factors, I think, heavily influenced the dogpiling tendencies. People were eager to defend their community, where they’d found so much love and support for their work. Minors would go along with adults in conversations. When someone said something, others would enthusiastically support them. And people were just so into each other that I really couldn’t keep up, which is probably why I didn’t participate too much. People became just super fast friends and the server was so large and so seemingly “professional” and structured in how it was made. I think people just kind of assumed everyone in there was great and their friend who could be trusted deeply, when in reality that’s just impossible if there are like, 100+ members. Meaning if something minorly negative happened (like on that literal eleven-year-old’s blog), everyone would come in to say something to demonstrate their emphatic loyalty, even when it became excessive for something as small as an ask game done wrong.
This happened with the Gilded Wolves discussion as well. Someone stepped in to say that the way Gilded Wolves coded its antagonists as this shady secret society of people was antisemitic, and everyone joined in to rip the book apart without having even read it. I joined in the conversation to state that I didn’t see it that way, since that shady antagonist group was very much coded as white Christians (their names are all French Christian names) and were colonizers (meaning making them this shadowy group of powerful and evil people was accurate) and one of the protagonists, who is Jewish, is opposing them and antisemitism is portrayed as horrible, and that the book had had (if I’m remembering correctly) Jewish sensitivity readers and multiple Jewish book reviewers really enjoyed and recommended it. Then Mina stepped in to say that multiple Jewish journals she followed rated the book highly and recommended it meaning the accusation of antisemitism clashed heavily with what a lot of other people thought, and that since me and the other person who was saying the book was antisemitic were the only ones who had read it or were familiar with it in any capacity, it wasn’t fair for everyone to be judging it like that. It was like she’d flipped a switch: people were suddenly much more “reasonable” and “fair” and willing to give the book a chance, just because she’d stepped in. (As a quick note, I don’t remember exactly whether Mina stepped in first or if I stated my opinion first. I also want to mention that Mina DMed me to state that the person who accused the book of antisemitism had expressed some Zionist sentiments in the past and to say that maybe their take on the book could have come from Islamophobia with them maybe assuming obviously ethnic name of the author was a Muslim name. The Zioinist stuff is something I can’t actually speak on since again, I have no access to the server anymore and I don’t remember that person’s url. This was the last time Mina DMed me or I her.)
I wrote all that out because I think it illustrates a few things. Firstly, a good example of the tendencies of people going with the flow of things even when it led to dogpiling/drastic conclusions. When I say they were really trashing that book, I mean it! Secondly, it demonstrates the willingness of everyone to go along with what Mina said. Third, it shows that Mina was capable of stepping in to prevent dogpiling (and, seemingly, she would, at least if her beliefs aligned with the opposite of whatever incited the dogpiling) and that people would listen to her and actually change their minds.
Whether or not Mina supported something was pretty important. Of course, it was her server, so she was definitely allowed to run it how she saw fit, but she would very swiftly pass judgement on things and everyone would just comply. One time, I think there were more than one different threads of conversation happening in the general channel of the server. Jess suggested making a second general channel to allow for other conversations, as is common in a lot of servers, including ones I’m in and moderate/own/have some power in. I don’t remember if I supported that suggestion or if I only backread that conversation, but I know at least one other person agreed. Mina said that as an older person (she’d very frequently bring up her age) she thought people could just wait for their turn in a conversation and didn’t even consider trying it out. Other mods, I believe, backed her up and said no to the second general conversation channel. I remember being a little confused as to why nobody even considered trying a member’s suggestion to make the server more easy to participate it and help provide additional structure/support how big it was, and why it was shut down because people could just wait for their turn, when clearly the general channel was getting overloaded before our eyes. But Mina didn’t see the need, so therefore nobody else wanted to do anything about it, and nobody ever mentioned it again, I think. I know this is a super minor instance lol, but I do think it illustrates something about the behavior in the server and how it was run. It’s not like other channels weren’t added based on need; one was created for the 2018 elections, one was created for talking about race in June during the height of BLM protests having news coverage, I’m pretty sure one was created for talking about the coronavirus. So, the mods were watching conversations and responding as they saw fit, they just wouldn’t field this request, for some reason. Obviously conversations getting muddled in a general channel isn’t as significant as major political events, antiblack racism, or a pandemic, but these channels were made to improve the server experience and likely to prevent these topics from completely overloading other channels, so, well.
Okay, the Castor/pilipalea stuff and dogpiling. I’ll say this stuff now because Castor has opened up about it (here [wayback machined] and here [archived in a google doc]), so I see that as permission for others to comment on it. If I’m remembering correctly and looking back at the right things, there was something about Mina giving advice on a grammatical error to one of her mutuals, or something asking if her mutuals wanted grammatical advice? Castor vagueblogged, presumably about that, and talked about classism in expecting good grammar from people, which is a valid issue, but seemed misapplied to this instance of someone consenting to receive advice on grammar/syntax/mechanics, if that’s what the vagueblogging was about. I reached out to Mina to let her know that I thought someone was vagueblogging about her, and she told me about past conflicts with Castor. I also reached out to Castor over DMs to ask what the vagueblogging was about, because you genuinely never know; classist prescriptivism is harmful and bad, and so many people on Tumblr are in so many different circles that similar topics may come up coincidentally. Castor wasn’t clear with me either about what the post was targeting and skirted around naming names.
At this point, looking back, it still seems to be that it was about Mina, especially considering that Castor had previous history with her and others in her circle. Mina was irritated by the vagueblogging (who likes being vagueblogged about?) and also informed me, all the way back in April 2019, about this past server drama that Castor mentioned. It seems to me that it stemmed from a misunderstanding: Mina and I believe other mods noticed another person using Castor’s PSDs without credit. Mina checked with Castor about whether people should be crediting them for PSDs and Castor said that, yes, they wanted credit; you can see this interaction in the screenshot Castor linked on their post.
This is where the accounts of what happened diverge: Mina expressed to me that she and the other mods weren’t very harsh since they’d seen that Castor’s friend had credited Castor in the past, so they just wanted to remind Castor’s friend to give credit, without knowing that Castor’s friend had permission to use the PSDs without crediting. I was told that Mina and the team of mods were professional in their handling of this; Castor has stated in their post that the group was extremely harsh. Since I don’t have any screenshots or exact records of what they said before I was in contact with Mina, I can’t comment, so I’ll withhold judgement on that. According to Mina, she and the other mods had not been very vocal about this crediting/PSD stuff, and very few people knew about it, so it did seem like Castor had attacked Mina out of nowhere.
What I can say is that the VV members were certainly quick to respond to the grammar vagueblog, and that if I’m remembering correctly, readily jumped to Mina’s defense. I distinctly remember that one VV member specifically asked whether it was about Mina in a reblog. This happened pretty early on in VV’s existence and I believe was the first major “drama” that VV got embroiled in. Looking back, I do think it was fair to be critical of Castor’s post. But this was also the first look at the tendencies people had of getting embroiled in the fervor of any perceived slight against a member (in particular Mina).
I noticed this again when I received anons that were sort of bitter about VV’s existence in May 2019, way before VV had gained the reputation that it has now. People were very quick to respond with hostility and slightly amplify the anger expressed by other members, and little by little things got really out of hand. I can totally understand being upset and irritated, since the asks were kind of unwarranted and the sender did apologize if I remember correctly. But there was a huge outpouring of vicious language from a lot of the members, and this was, I think, the first instance of proper dogpiling in VV, especially since it was an easy antagonist; the sender was out of line, and they were totally anonymous.
These were the only two instances of going to bat for VV that I ever participated in. For the other things, I either only backread or missed them completely. While they don’t really paint VV in a super bad light, not like the dogpiling of an eleven-year-old that Jess mentions in her post, it did give me a pretty good idea of how VV handled controversies.
I’ve mentioned some of my theories of why this dogpiling/toxicity happened. I’d also like to add that Mina would often send concise, decisively-worded statements about things. I think this may have come across as final-word judgments to a lot of people, so they would take that as the last say on a certain matter and escalate in severity of their response from there. And like, you should trust your friends and take what they say in good faith. But you still need to be thinking critically and considering your response, especially when you haven’t known someone for very long. And this, I think, was a big source of toxicity in the server. There were just so many people responding to the same issues and aligning their beliefs, and they’d build off each other and create an environment where these kinds of responses were okay. Plus, VV was always portrayed as a tight-knit family when not everyone knew each other and not everyone was active (as is totally normal for a massive server), so this also contributed to people wanting to defend each other all the time. And I don’t think the mod team did an adequate job of shutting it down, despite the veneer of a structured, sort of more “professional” space.
Okay, now onto the art stuff.
Disclaimer, I don’t draw digital or physical art. I was always aware that Mina was certainly at least using references for her work. In some cases I could even pinpoint which pictures were used, like one where the faceclaim was Ranveer Singh. I also received fanart of one of my characters that, of course, looked very similar to the faceclaim. It certainly was clear some tracing had happened in that picture because of the level of detail in the chikankari embroidery, but like…..it’s free fanart, chikankari isn’t copyrighted, and that embroidery is super difficult to draw anyways. What I was not aware of was Mina apparently tracing images and using them to advertise for commissions, which is something I do not condone. I also know my photography and photo editing tools, so I was aware that there was some filtering/editing going on. I’m not sure if Mina traced and didn’t disclose it for commissioned art.
Okay, now the server shutting down stuff!
I was completely unaware of the dogpiling/transphobia stuff happening in the server because I had it on mute. I only found out about all this two days ago. I received the message where everyone was @’ed about VV’s “migration” off Tumblr and that the server would be shut down. I can confirm that the concern was about mirror sites and that the server did discuss these mirror sites as a big intellectual property issue. I didn’t know people wanted the server shutting down to be kept so secret, and I honestly cannot think of a reason why; I feel like if those mirror site concerns were serious, people would be trying to spread the word on writeblr? So I think that people are right to be a little suspicious of the exact reason for the server’s closing.
I think I should mention also that people were pretty much always friendly with me on VV. I met a bunch of cool people, and Mina was always kind and supportive with me. @radley-writes has echoed similar sentiments here (wayback machined here) and here (wayback machined here) while being critical of the environment in VV.
I know this post is like, wildly long and probably quite dry and rambly at points, but I hope it does provide some specific examples to back up some of the criticisms of VV and document it a bit better.
Thank you for reading! I’ll make sure to edit this to add stuff if I remember things/see the need.
I also want to state that my post is more a critique of the environment than anything. I’m not trying to attack anyone at all, I’m just giving an account of stuff that has happened, my level of involvement, and my own thoughts on all this.
I also want to say that I am completely open to hearing what any of you have to say. Feel free to critique/discuss anything I’ve said in this post with me. If you want to vent about your experiences in/with Violet Vineyard, my inbox and DMs are totally open. If you want to keep things confidential, I won’t break your trust or reveal your identity (unless you start idk, spouting racist stuff at me or something). If you want to anonymously tell people about an experience, feel free to shoot me an anon.
I hope you’re all having a wonderful day! I’m sending you lots of love. Take care! <3
