As previously mentioned, he's very subservient and overprotective and literally thinks he was placed on this planet to serve and protect you. He really does wholeheartedly believe that you're the purest life form there is and understands that you're capable and clever, but he's so desperate to be of use to you. Is actually restless if he's not doing things for you.

He somehow manages to balance between seeing you as this precious devine entity in need of constant servitude and also respecting the shit out of you??? He's pretty fucking weird icl 😭😭

I have this wip of an idea that the whole meeting happened when you left your flock and wandered into the forest as it's something you do quiet often (not very approved of by your peers, but i want lamb!reader to be a powerful independent presence) and he catches a glimpse of you and is immediately intrigued lol, his infatuation only grows when he approaches you and you completely shut down his attempts for a conversation, you came here to be alone remember? You stay on his mind long after you return back home and he is left to wonder when you'll be back.

I feel like you wouldn't pay any mind to him at first. He'll have to work for your attention, lmaoo, but when you do, eventually get together (it starts with you visiting him in the forest more often and even staying at his own place) or even just reciprocate a fraction of his feelings, he goes apeshit and probably oversteps 😭😭 like an overprotective mother he starts INSISTING you stay at his house so he could take care of you better and sleep well, catches bunnies for you and crashes out when you refuse to let him hand feed you what he cooked, will be placing both of ur food portions in the same plate<- this is a fixation of his, coaxes you to sleep in his arms, the whole overbearing husband experience, he's very clingy and doting tbh, he really wants to tend to you. Also he's obsessed with your ears.

You could try to ghost him, but he would definitely just destroy your reputation to have you return to him, starts to show up on front of your home like a crazy ex and gives everyone else a heart attack, eventually the other lambs associate you two together and choose to "sacrifice you" to the vicious beast in the forest. That way, in hopes of getting rid of him once and for all. This way you have nowhere else to go. You'll have to let him tend to you properly.

He will whimper and pout like a puppy when you freak out on him about it, bcuz really he doesn't wnat to upset you ever, but he sees this as necessary evil or some form of tough love? but really, what can you do? At the end of the day, he's the only person who doesn't think you're a bad Oman.

then, i also really enjoy zam/wemmbu/minutetech (sorry i don't know the name for them), devotion duo, squiddo/jumper, clownzy and spacewaffles.

just to mention, duos/trios like duality duo, pmc and tax duo that i don't mind either platonic or romantic. ^_^

Okay so re: bitey Knockout trutherism (especially the recent set of tags where you also mentioned him eating people hndhdkfb), I relate heavily to wanting him to have the urge to Bite and Consume while also recognizing that there are multiple reasons that this probably wouldn‘t be the case. Like, try as I might (and I HAVE), I can’t come up with a canon-based justification for this without doing the character analysis equivalent of data dredging ;-; Won‘t stop me from thinking about it on a regular basis tho!!!

Semi-related, but thinking about this a little too much is also how Butcher Vanity ended up on my Knockout playlist despite 1) the connections to his character being tenuous at best and 2) robot cannibalism being a nigh impossibility (sad!)

RIGHT… SHAKING YOUR HAND… I’ve written about this topic before and outlined my thought process in giving bullshit justification for him biting things, but it’s still very much just like, “Okay, what information do I need to consider to make the scenario of Cybertronians biting each other to be plausible in the first place? What connotations would it have?” and then thinking about KO as a character with that framework in mind 😂

Like, the existence of Cybertronian lifeforms with weaponised jaws is canon (insecticons, predacons, terrorcons, etc) and if you are willing to cross the continuity streams a bit, cannibalism itself is actually canon in other timelines! So the act of biting and using it to cause damage itself is completely on the table…

But when it comes to why Knock Out of all characters would have those urges in the first place, yeah—there’s no concrete basis… The canon can be used to support arguments both for and against the concept. On one hand: He’s sadistic, doesn’t shy away from playing dirty, and uses any tools at his disposal. On the other: Beyond taking a tourist’s enjoyment in human culture, he doesn’t seem to have much fondness for organics and thinks some of their biological functions are gross + he doesn’t have fondness for Cybertronians who bite (insecticons, predacons) either.

That said, since you can technically defend both sides of the argument with an equal amount of ammo, and him having a penchant for using his ‘teeth’ doesn’t really contradict anything, it’s not one of the more egregious headcanons to apply to him x’D

And honestly, there’s no shame in putting OOC / tangential songs in character playlists if they help you get into the character’s headspace while working with them! Especially if the playlist is just for your personal use / enjoyment and  you readily admit some tracks are on there just for the vibes—sometimes I make two playlists per ship / character for this reason (one that’s shareable and I believe is IC, and another I just play in the background while writing / drawing to help me focus, if I want to listen to music that day).

My own Knock Out playlist is the latter LMAO “Help Me Dr. Dick,” “Red Flags,” “Ice Cream Paint Job,” “내 귀에 캔디,” and “Zydrate Anatomy” are all such unserious picks and I would not say they accurately represent KO or his story in TFP… But they make me think of him anyway 🤦

I’ve been obsessed, obsessed, obsessed with Raisha for a while now. I know you’ve said little things about her in the past and i want to know what’s up with her/Gerathon if you’d be willing to talk about it.

I really like Raisha as a character, too! We know so little about her, but in my opinion, she's one of the most fascinating characters in the series. Unfortunately, she meets a sad end in A Revised History of Erdas.

All we know about Raisha post-infection is that she was present at the final battle in The Burning Tide, still under Zerif's control and in pretty bad shape. She vanishes off the grid after that, never mentioned again, not even in the concluding montage of Great Beast summoners reuniting with their fallen spirit animals. My retelling offers some closure, but not the good kind.

In my version of events, Raisha is flanking Zerif when he emerges from the ship with his Great Beasts. Zerif, in an act of cruel irony, saw fit to keep Raisha by his side even in her mindless, infected state. Shane, up in the archers' keep with Abeke, hardly recognizes the girl who helped steal Halawir months earlier. Later, she reappears to restrain Abeke when Zerif brings the defeated Redcloak forces to the Wyrm. When the Wyrm is killed and the parasites lose their power, though, Raisha collapses to the ground and doesn't get back up. The Wyrm had pushed her finite body to an extent that it couldn't recover from. Many people and animals in Zerif's army are the same; their possession eventually killed them. The Wyrm was a child playing with toys, the mechanics of which it couldn't possibly understand. Thankfully for it, its parasites could go on controlling a body in the event of an untimely death. Indeed, Stead raises the possibility that Raisha had been dead for some time, and the parasite was only animating a corpse.

Like I've said before, I didn't do this out of dislike for Raisha or anything like that. She was ultimately another victim of Zerif -- a young, lonely, impressionable girl he took advantage of -- and didn't deserve anything that happened to her. I'll always support AUs where she is alive and well. In my eyes, though, her story was always meant to end in tragedy. By the time she realized her mistake and reached for the light, it was too late.

Gerathon, after reemerging in southern Zhong and feeling the loss of her human partner, disappeared into the brush and is currently at large. She is only an adolescent cobra at the moment, hardly a threat... but the Great Beasts are growing, and Gerathon's time will inevitably come again. (I like the idea of her becoming a maneater as she slowly regains her former size and power, terrorizing the locals and gaining a place in their legends.) Who knows how she feels about losing Raisha. I expect, under the excruciating pain that may one day drive her to madness, there is a sweet sense of relief.

do all the characters have dragons? are they dragons? what does a world with dragons look like? i want to know more

okay so!! this specifically is an au where abilities are dragons (but i will probably make an au later where they are dragons, i enjoy designing creatures <3)!

it's fairly httyd inspired because i really love httyd, so it's not modern, though.. maybe that'll be a seperate au later haha

BUT!! for this au specifically, there is a focus on dragon racing in the main plot; atsushi gets roped into joining the twilight agency (aka the ada here) when it turns out the dragon that he thinks has been chasing him is actually one he bonded with when it was little, it got seperated from him, and then went to find him again.

the twilight agency both races and investigates suspicious going ons and possible cheating in said races! i didn't finish up organizing the google doc, i'll admit, so i don't have everyone's roles written down, but:

atsushi and juni'chiro tend to race most often, ranpo is one of their usual investigators (ranpo claims to have a small feathered wyvern, but.. it is actually a golden eagle that fukuzawa gave him as a baby in that universe's version of untold origins), and they have clerks as well (naomi and haruno, though naomi races too when her brother can't, due to the fact that their dragon listens to both of them).

the night wardens are heavily involved in seaside transactions, transports when needed.. and cheating, it’s rumored, although no one can find any proof. they race too, though they did lose their BEST racers a while ago (those being the flags).

mori himself doesn't have a racing dragon. in fact, his dragon elise is more akin to a very, very cranky chihuahua crossed with the dangerousness of a poison dart frog. she's tiny, bad tempered for nearly everyone, venomous, has sharp claws, among other things.

those are the two organizations i have figured out the most ^^

but for how the world actually looks, that's a fun question!!

the twilight agency's building has a stable for the dragons, the port has plenty of places to put (or hide, if you're tachihara michizo and your brother's dragon has just tracked you down and won't leave despite how much you tell it to) dragons.

one BIG change is that the moby dick is now a dragon; a giant, very old one who despite this is tasked with carrying the guild around. at the end of the arc it and melville disappear to finally actually retire.

i'm not entirely sure how accurately the arcs play out, though i know it's not.. too different, i think? i'm still working on it!

•　　rin okumura. no other reason besides TWO DEMON BOYOS INTERACTING!! a rough start, proposing the idea of a possible brawl starting out upon their first meeting, but coming out with a mutual understand for each other's powers. brothers in arms, they fight like siblings and cuss each other out, but when it comes to protecting each other? i think they've got each other's backs.

•　　kamado tanjirō. tanji's battled his fair share of demons, he's seen their malicious intent behind their kills, he would've smelt inuyasha's inner sufferings instantly, and put his sword down immediately. he'd find his half—human, half—demon biology very fascinating! nezuko would also probably get along pretty well with him. i'd say their first meetings would come off rough with their opposing personalities, but trust they will become besties.

•　　himejima gyōmei. chaotic little student and humble rock mentor. i propose the idea of them first meeting for gyōmei's summon to be around inuyasha's shrine perhaps? they get into a scuffle, and once he finds out he hasn't actually killed anyone, they form a little dynamic! he treats him like another genya. </3 he's also the kind of type to lecture needlessly on his recklessness, i think it's a funny relationship.

•　　ashitaka. i'm not sure if you ever heard of journey to the west, but tan zheng and sun wukong could be their dynamic moving forth? humble priest and his guard dog. he wouldn't understand inuyasha's recklessness and hotheadedness off the bat, in fact it would frustrate him, but i think they're also bound to the same darkness: the feeling of something not too human always tends to envelope them. they just have different ways of dealing with it.

•　　haku. they'd be an interesting clash of water and fire! haku's quiet existentialism could actually throw him off the edge, they could meet as opposing forces at first, with haku withholding his strength back. i don't think they'd outwardly admit they're friends, but it's obvious their relationship grounds them? they're neat little opposites with their own burdens to shoulder!!

•　　huǎ chéng. a deeply personal relationship, two beings touched by pain, isolation, and devotion wrapped in a bloodied package of teeth and impossible love. they're kinda like cold fire and wild flames, different in ways they carry out their own burdens and pains, yet born from a similar kind of trauma. i don't think their growing relationship with each other would have a name, just know they could benefit from each other when it comes to " living with your mistakes. " ( not so much living from hua cheng but yk LAMAOQBSKWH. )

•　　kyo sohma. two strays circling each other, growling and snapping jaws then curling up by each other's side when no one's looking. icl, this is one of my favorites for your boyo! their first meeting would result in a yelling and sizing each other up match, they're both furious, defensive and deeply sensitive, they'd hate each other on sight fr. they've both got strong emotional parallels, which is why i think they'd get each other in a way that almost no one understands.

•　　sūn wúkōng. my top choice to throw at ur boyo. their dynamic would be chaotic, explosive and oddly very profound. i don't think wúkōng would take inuyasha too seriously, and would actually poke too much fun at him. and when inuyasha tries fighting him, wúkōng dodges him with a lack of interest, probably eating a peach while in the middle of battle﹔ they're constantly clashing, BUT wúkōng never fights seriously. i think he could also knock some sense into inuyasha when needed! and i mean it in a literal sense, perhaps pinning him down mid—rage with a divine presence and whatnot!
