A Towering Inferno - Isobel Castille/Maggie Bell

A/N: Written for @febuwhump​ Alt 10.

The inferno had been blazing for a while by the time Maggie arrived. Isobel is already long gone, dragged to hospital to be checked over with the rest of the group who had stayed behind. Maggie stands for a little while, staring at the inferno and thanking every god she knew Isobel had been rescued. Later, sat by her bedside, Jubal’s hand on her shoulder, Maggie will watch Isobel sleep. She’s a little ‘crisp edged’ but alive. Maggie still can’t quite believe how lucky she got. They had lost people, mostly tech crew, but Isobel was alive, OA was okay and Jubal was still here. They had made it out somehow. The inferno is put out by the end of the day and Maggie knows she should work but Jubal asks her to stay with Isobel when he and OA go back to work. Isobel’s tired smile all the reward she needs. They survived.

The Killing Dance

"Whumper," Team Leader said from the chair Whumper had tied them to. They were careful not to make any eye contact with their team as they spoke with Whumper. If they did, they might lose their resolve and Team Leader couldn't lose their resolve.

"Yes, Team Leader? What is it?" Whumper said as they held a dice in one hand and a dice tower in the other.

"Forget the game and you can have me. Do everything you want to do to me. Forget the game and let my team go."

And just as Team Leader had anticipated, their team began to shout their protests from their own seats they were tied to. All Whumper did was chuckle. "But Team Leader, that is exactly the point of the game. I do get to do whatever I want. To all of you. It's all up to chance."

Team Leader couldn't let Whumper hurt the others. Whumper had to hurt them ad only them. "But--"

"Hush now, it's not your turn." Whumper turned back to Smallest Teammate. "So what do you think you'll roll?"

"What does it matter, you're going to hurt me no matter what," Smallest Teammate said with a glare.

Whumper clapped their hand to their forehead. "I forgot to explain the rules! How silly of me! Six sides of a dice, six options for what happens next. And it's all up to random chance," Whumper turned and smiled at Team Leader. "Roll the correct number and I won't hurt you. You win the round. But roll the others and well, let's just say I get to have my fun."

"This is stupid. You're going to hurt us. So why taunt us."

"The rules are simple," Whumper continued on as if Smallest Teammate hadn't said anything. "Roll a one and I get to shock you until I'm satisfied. Roll a two and I get to try out my new fire poker on you. Roll a three and we can see how many times I can stab you in one minute. Roll a four and we'll see how long it takes me to revive you after you've drowned. Roll a five and we'll see just how long you can hold your breath while I choke you. And roll a six and," Whumper smiled even bigger, "you are safe for the round."

"I'm not playing your stupid game," Smallest Teammate shook their head with each word. "I will not participate in my own torture."

Whumper frowned. "The tower rolls for you, silly. I'm not untying your hands. Any of you. I know just how lethal your hands can be. And besides," they smiled once more, "you don't get to decide if you play or not."

Whumper put the dice tower on the table in the center. "Let's see if luck is on your side, Smallest Teammate," Whumper said as they dropped the dice into the tower. Whumper grinned wickedly as the dice tumbled down. "Two. I'm so excited to break in the fire poker."

Author: Autobot2001 Genre: Fanfiction Fandom: Halloween Rating: T Warning: None Pairing: None Description: Michael Myers fights off the police that surrounds his childhood home.

This was not Michael Myers’ plan. Getting held up in a fight with Loomis gave the police enough time to surround Michael’s childhood home. “You might as well surrender,” Loomis suggests. Michael grunts and stabs the psychiatrist. He continues as the man lies on the floor.

A deputy urges the Sheriff to send officers into the home. “He won’t be able to fight off our bullets,” the Sheriff argues. The police can’t believe Michael is walking out of the house as if he’s not surrounded by the police with guns aimed at him. “Fire!” The Sheriff yells. Michael walks down the stairs towards the police as they fire at him. The bullets came close to hitting him. Michael’s walk turns into running toward the police, knife in hand. The police are unaware until they watch his first victim die. Michael smiles under his mask as the police try to kill him as he slices the life out of them. A few officers try to run from the scene, adding to Michael’s enjoyment. To him, this is simply a game. It’s not long before there’s a trail of bodies. As the last man standing, Michael admires his work before disappearing into the shadows.

Introducing Whumpcember 2022!

Everyone's heard of Whumptober or Febuwhump, Angstpril or Sicktember, but get ready for Whumpcember! Whumpcember is pretty much exactly like Whumptober or Febuwhump, except in December.

Whumpcember is born out of a love of monthly whump challenges but with zero time to complete them. I also want to complete these challenges, but never have the time! So I came to realize that, from an American perspective, December is the month I get the most time off. So, I decided to create this event for people who have too much time in December, but so little across the other 12 months. Of course, this is most definitely an American experience and not universal; so if you don't have free time during December it is still perfectly alright to participate! This event was just made to cure my December boredom, and anyone else's.

Now after that ramble, onto the actual rules:

Prompts should be answered with whump as the main focus (i'll let angst slide though, since it's similar enough to whump)

Fanfic! Gif! Text post! Fanart! Fan video! Any piece of media that you can possibly make that has whump counts!

You can use the prompts any time! Don't feel the need to rush

Though, prompts answered during December will most likely be reblogged

Post anywhere! AO3, Wattapad, Tumblr, or even Fanfic.Net! So as long as you make a Tumblr post with a link to the answered prompt it may be reblogged.

When posting onto Tumblr you can either @/ the blog or tag with #whumpcember2022 and the day's tag, such as #whumpcember2022 day1

Don't forget to add any warnings necessary, such as NSFW or sexual content

Three Hydra soldiers slithered out onto the roof. The leader, Elliot Kohl, looked around, no sign of the Archer.

He jerked his hand forward. They crept around the corner and there he was, in position on the edge, bow drawn, laser focused on whatever target was below.

Kohl tossed a coin from his pocket to the far corner. Hawkeye didn’t flinch or look its way.

This would be too easy.

As they inched up behind him, Barton started to sing under his breath.

“The itsy bitsy spider...”

Commander Kohl stopped in his tracks and held up his fist.

“Slid down the water spout.” Barton continued slowly.

One word fell from Elliot’s mouth.

“Fuck.”
