who am i if not a fan of a good sleepover? we all love them lol there’s no real reason other than just for fun but there will be some valentine's and regular prompts as well so we’ve got a variety and you are also more than welcome to send in your own ideas/concepts too! let’s get into the rules and prompts and get this thing started

Can I please request d3 with Matt Murdock?

i can feel the angst/hurt comfort from here and i can't wait for it

warnings: not proofread, descriptions of a panic attack

prompt: "hey, hey, shhhh. shhhh. you're okay."

relief. great weight lifting relief.

that's what you first remembered feeling when you saw matt donned in his daredevil suit taking out the guys who had you. it was like oxygen had been restored in an atmosphere where there was none before it. you could breathe now that he was here. you inhaled a breath deeper than you knew you could hold in your lungs.

but then it was like you were breathing in too much. too quickly. your trembling hand came up to your chest to try and calm it, but it was no use. the tightening sensation continued to fester.

your eyes focused on matt's quick movements as he laid the men out one after the other. then, he was in front of you. you watched his lips move, but it took you a second to focus on what he was saying. he had to repeat himself before you actually heard him, his voice deep and desperate.

"are you hurt?"

your eyelids fluttered as you shook your head. "no, but i- i can't-" you tried to speak, your hand clenching as it grabbed a handful of your shirt. it felt like the world was sucking you in and pulling you down.

"i can't-" you repeated. your eyes shifted down slightly while your breathing increased in pace. "i-"

matt immediately wrapped his arms around you and held you tightly to his chest. his voice was a soothing gentle melody to your ears as he whispered to you, "hey, hey, shhhh. shhhh. you're okay. i've got you. no one will hurt you. you're okay. try to match my breathing, yeah?"

he would've told you to listen to his heartbeat, but he knew it was thundering and erratic in fear for you. he wanted to kill these men, and he probably would later when you weren't around. but, he had to make sure you were okay first. matthew murdock didn't play around about a lot of things, most importantly, you and your safety.

when he got you calmed down, he pressed his lips to your temple. "you okay?" he asked into your skin. "they didn't hurt you?"

"you got here before anything happened," you told him in a whisper. "i'm okay."

"you know you aren't leaving my sight anytime soon, right?" he spoke against your forehead.

you couldn't help the small chuckle that escaped you despite the severity of the situation. "your sight, huh?" you teased.

his glimmer of a smile brought you some comfort in the moment. "you know what i mean. you're about to be glued to me."

"there's no place i'd rather be."

"here he comes," your friend, sabrina, noted when she spotted the tall blond making his way over. she took the last swig of your drink before taking the empty cup and getting lost in the crowd, leaving you alone in the corner of the college party. you let out a small huff at her quick exit. you were alone, soon to be with rafe when he got over here, and were without any liquid coverage to get you through the encounter.

"hey sweet stuff," rafe drawled, earning the eye roll from you he was looking for.

"what did i tell you about calling me that?" you bit as you crossed your arms over your chest and leaned back against the wall behind you.

he pursed his lips and furrowed his brows, pretending he was off in deep thought, but you knew the organ between his ears wasn't capable of such deliberation. "i don't remember anything about 'sweet stuff'. i do remember you saying words i can't repeat about some other names, though," he said through a smug smirk that you so desperately wanted to slap off his face.

"go ahead and add 'sweet stuff' to that list," you told him firmly. "did you need something? because i'm here to have a good time and last i checked, that's impossible to do with you around."

rafe let out a deep chuckle, his blue eyes shining in the neon lights of a beer sign hanging haphazardly on the frat house wall. "you make it so hard to sweet talk you, you know?" he quipped before continuing into why he came over in the first place. "so you know how tomorrow is valentine's day?"

your stare told him you heard him and knew of tomorrow's festivities.

"well, i told my friends i'd go on this stupid double date with them," rafe spoke with a sigh, his eyes gazing hopefully into yours.

you didn't see why he was telling you this and quite frankly, you didn't care. "and that's my business because..?" you trailed off.

rafe paused before continuing. "..i don't have a date."

you couldn't hold back your laughter. it started as an escaped giggle that grew into a hearty chuckle, a full-on belly laugh at his expense. and if he didn't look so earnest, you would've kept on. but your laughter fizzled out, and you wiped your eyes.

"oh shit, you're serious," you mumbled.

his short nod cemented your words.

"why are you asking me? we aren't exactly besties. it's not a good idea but that's kind of your thing, isn't it? bad ideas," you told him in confusion.

a dry chuckle left rafe's lips. "believe it or not, you know more about me, so you're the best fit."

that part made you feel for him for a second, and that small second of weakness cost you. "why couldn't i have met you at college like everyone else?" you grumbled before nodding and giving in. "fine."

rafe's eyes widened ever so slightly. then that stupid smirk made a reappearance. "dress cute. i'll pick you up at seven. see you later, cupcake," he whispered when he leaned forward into your space before walking away.

"don't call me cupcake!"

"i'm sorry," you whispered as topper crawled into bed with you.

"you have nothing to apologize for," he told you while his lips pressed gently to your cheek. his arm wrapped around your waist from behind and his hand began to rub soothing circles into the skin of your lower abdomen under your shirt. "i like being close to you like this."

"i feel like i ruined our plans, though," you added. the soft cramps that pulled at your insides caused a furrow between your brows that topper desperately wanted to make disappear.

"you know what the great thing is about movies in theaters?" he asked. you hummed in acknowledgment. "they play them more than once. we can go see that movie any night, but i want to lay with you and snuggle you and comfort you all day today, so let me?"

you sighed but nodded, giving in to him.

"good," he mumbled as he pulled you closer to him. "we can take a nap or catch up on our show," he offered. "do you need anything? medicine, water, anything?"

"no," you whispered, your hand moving to hold his on your stomach. "just you."

"just me?" he asked, trying to fight his growing grin before kissing your head. "i guess i can manage that."

note: i wanted to use the sleepover to start writing for some new characters, one of those being anakin skywalker so here's is my first writing for him! hope you like it and i managed to slip in the "not here." "yes, here" line as well :)))

prompt: “are you telling me we can’t do anything to mark the day?”

throughout the entire council meeting, anakin kept his eyes on you. you could feel it. you could sense it. but you ignored it as best you could.

once the meeting was dismissed, you slipped out of the room first since you were near the door. anakin was on the opposite side of the room so you didn’t expect him to make it to your side as quickly as he did.

“you make things difficult, you know,” you stated calmly as you turned down a hall in the temple.

"i wouldn't say that," anakin spoke lowly as he tilted his head toward yours. "being near you doesn't feel difficult. it actually feels quite easy."

you held back an eye roll before turning into the jedi archive room. "you know what i mean," you whispered before disappearing between the shelves. "when we're here," you said quietly, making sure you weren't overheard, "we're jedi, nothing more. you have to remember that."

"but it's the day of love. are you telling me we can’t do anything to mark the day?" anakin asked, his face very close to your own.

you let out a gentle sigh and shook your head. "not here."

his smirk grew as his lips neared yours. "yes, here."

just before he could actually kiss you, you sensed a presence nearing. thinking quickly, you used the force to push anakin back a few steps and pulled down a file from the shelf behind him, causing it to hit the floor. just as you knelt down to pick it up, master sinube walked by the end of the shelves you were between. he nodded his head in greeting at both of you to which you nodded right back as you picked up the dropped file.

"i think you dropped this?" you asked anakin, playing the role you'd assigned yourself to distract master sinube from what was actually transpiring between you and anakin.

anakin fell into his role just as easily. "yes, thank you," he replied while master sinube walked on, the click of his cane hitting the floor following him.

you blew out a breath before looking up at anakin. "my quarters. see you there?"

anakin's smirk soon made a reappearance when he nodded. "i'll have rex cover for us."
