"Let me make this promise to you. No matter who wants to harm you, Redbug and Kuro Neko will do everything in our power to keep you safe!"
What if Marinette and Adrien hadn't helped Mater Fu on the day when he was looking for new miraculous holders?
What if 2 other people had helped him?
What if .... the ladybug and black cat miraculouses were given to 2 different people?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Luka and Kagami both led a normal life, well, as normal as it can be for living on a boat and having THE Jagged Stone as your father (for Luka), and being the daughter of a worldwide known fencer and having absolutely zero friends. They both led very different lives, but they had one thing in common (apart from having a very famous sh!tty parent).
What no one in Paris had expected was that one evil man armed with butterflies would cause terror to get his hands on two magic pieces of jewellery which granted their holders superpowers, those of creation and destruction.
What Luka and Kagami didn't expect was that they mysteriously got 2 pieces of jewellery which allowed them to transform into superheroes with superpowers, and learning that this butterfly man was after them. And finding out that they couldn't tell anyone about them being Redbug and Kuro Neko, the saviours of Paris.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Chat Noir is owned by Thomas Astruc and Zagtoon.
Redbug and Kuro Neko's designs are all mine and have never happened in the show.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you can see by the cover, this is going to be focusing around Lukagami, more specifically them with the ladybug and cat miraculouses. (also Kuro Neko translates to black cat from Japanese so that's why I chose that name)
Here are their outfit designs:
Luka (Redbug)
(the design is the same for the back)
Kagami (Kuro Neko)
I chose that pattern for Kuro Neko's outfit as it is a Japanese pattern with a meaning.
She also has the kimono sash and bow as they are Japanese too.
For the chapters I will be taking some episodes and modify them according my needs. I already have over 50 episodes I have to do XD.
Also in this fanfic Luka is 2 years older than Juleka and he has already finished school. Kagami is 15 (same age as Juleka) and Luka is 17. Kagami is homeschool and Luka has a part-time job as a pizza delivery person. Luka and Juleka know that Jagged Stone is their dad.
That's everything I have for background information, see you soon with the first chapter!!! (expect lots of long chapters in this story XD)
Enjoy!!!
P.S. I will try to update this every Sunday, but I won't make any promises.
(everything was drawn by me)

Demon princess
Yesterday someone asked me what anime show I liked. And it got me to realizing that while I like quite a few anime shows; I never did a crossover for with Ladybug. So I got thinking which anime I should use. My first instinct was Sailor Moon; first anime I ever loved. Hell first show I ever loved, I started watching it when I was four-years-old (I have older sisters). Then I briefly considered Death Note. Maybe a pairing with Marinette/light. It didn’t work out my head. Finally it hit me… And then it completely got away from me. Reminding me why I don’t fuck with anime when it comes to fan fiction. Not my best work but its was a neat idea.
When her mom told her that her grandfather and her great uncle was coming to town; Marinette panicked. In fact, she had a full blown panic attack. There was no way she was going to get out of this.
Her mother didn’t speak too much to her father. They had a complicated relationship. Sabine had grown up in China with her mother, while her father resided near Japan, having been born and raised there, in a small country he ruled as king. Only demons resided there.
He had been a cold, stoic man with little interests in the affairs of humans. He certainly didn’t understand why his beloved daughter chose to be around them. However, he had been outright furious when he discovered Sabine had eloped with one and ran off to France. They didn’t speak for almost a decade.
The silence was only broken when Sabine told her Uncle that she was expecting a child. And half-human or not, Sesshōmaru would be there to welcome his grandchild into the pack. Inuyasha had tagged along to keep an eye on his older brother. Though the older Inu Daiyōkai may have become more tolerable of humans but that didn’t mean he didn’t still have few nasty streaks. Honestly, Inuyasha didn’t trust his brother not to just slaughter Tom Dupain as soon as he met him. The demon lord turned King would have to deal with the unfortunate tales of the Princess who ran off with the Baker; as if it was some foolish romantic tale.
Somehow, Sesshōmaru remained perfectly polite if more than just a bit standoffish. He outright glared at times. However, he remained in France for months while he waited for his grandchild to be born. Subtly hinting to his daughter, that it would be better to raise the pup among their own kind.
Then little Marinette Kagura Dupain-Cheng with blue locks, slanted bluer eyes, pointed ears, two magenta stripes on each cheek, and a magenta stripe on each eyelid, and a purple crescent moon on her forehead identical to the one her grandfather had. The baby girl was clearly a demon, a half-demon, but a demon nonetheless.
The moment Sesshōmaru held his grandchild, he was hers, “She is strong, and will only grow more powerful,” He told his exhausted offspring. “You did well daughter.”
“It takes two to tango,” Tom laughed.
Inuyasha just shook his head, “You’re not dead. Don’t push this.”
Over the next few years, Marinette spent most of her childhood split between her parents’ and her grandfather’s palace. Thanks to Shippo’s magic, it was only a portal away. She spent a lot of her summers there too. It was different when Marinette stayed with her Grandfather. She was different.
For starters, she was a princess and was expected to behave like one. She was a daiyōkai and was expected to act like; keep her emotions controlled and her word precise. When she was five-years-old, her grandfather presented her with two swords made from two of his fangs as a birthday present because, yeah, that was a thing demons did. One sword healed, the other destroyed. Though both swords were the same size; sword that destroyed had been too heavy for her to properly wield. She had to work for years to properly know how to use it. It was powerful and could slaughter a dozen foes with a swing. The sword that healed had seemed rather useless in comparison. It took her years to understand it was, by its very nature, the more powerful of the two.
When she wasn’t training, she was learning to rule. Demons lived a long life but things happened. It was best to be prepared.
It was at her Uncle’s insistence that Marinette, just recently turned six, be introduced to playmates of her own age. That was when Marinette learned something; everyone in the palace was employed by her grandfather. In addition, they were all lower demons subject to his rule and of any royal standing.
The demons with royal standing, children who Inuyasha said were Marinette’s equals, to which Sesshomaru pointed out his granddaughter had to equal, behaved different.
The kids were haughty, arrogant, and sometimes mean for the sake of being mean to anyone of lesser standing in the demon world.
The first was the son of Prince Koga, a wolf demon and a minor prince who kept his title because of tradition alone; his name was Hyōga. Prince Hyōga, was older than Marinette by a year, with auburn hair and red eyes, and had eyed the smaller girl with interest.
“Heard your father’s a human,” He said the word as if it taste foul on his tongue.
In the background, Koga face palmed. In youngest son would get their entire pack killed. Inuyasha glared at his old friend; plotting his death.
“Yes,” Marinette said. “I heard you were name after a giant moth.”
Hyōga sputtered, “What do you know? You’re just a girl!”
“Don’t make me the bug spray.”
It was the start of a rather tense friendship; similar to the one Koga and Inuyasha had centuries ago.
The second was a dragon demon named Kagami; an emotionless girl whose bloodline once rivaled Marinette’s. Marinette had tried to be nice, fearing her uncle world bring the wolf prince back, but Kagami didn’t warm up to her attempts. Finally, Marinette noticed Kagami attention to Marinette’s sword. So she led the other girl to training yard, threw her sword, and said, “I win, we have tea-party. You win, I’ll show you grandfather’s war room.” Then the battle was on. Every time, Kagami would visit, they’d have another duel to see what they did for the day. Both families were pleased at this.
The next was an ice demon from England; a prissy, blond, name Magnolia who was two years older and, who Marinette knew, only tolerated Marinette’s unladylike behavior because she was a princess.
Then there was the playmate that actually required Marinette to leave the palace and venture to Japan. This meant that she had to hide her demon features like she did when she was in public in Paris.
The boy’s name was Izumo, a decedent of Sango, a legendary demon slayer and Inuyasha’s friend. He was very serious, older than Marinette by four years, and seemed to take it as a personal insult a six-year-old, even a demon one, could best him in a fight. Marinette just wondered exactly what her uncle thought “close in age” meant.
However, her favorite playmates turned out to be Shippo’s grandchildren; both half-human. They both lived in France. One was her age, named Juleka, and the other an older boy named Luka.
As Marinette got older and her visits to her grandfather’s decreased to twice a month during the school year and every summer. Her grandfather was under the belief that Marinette went to a school with other demons, and while technically that was true; there were almost two dozen others demons, it was primarily a human school. Strike one. Her grandfather would only be mildly annoyed.
Kwami and the miraculous, both banned from her grandfather’s kingdom, was active in Paris. The banning of the little gods happened after the destruction of the greatest creation Shikon no Tama. A little marble that nearly ended the world and caused great pain for Inuyasha and his friends for years. After they left, no one knew what had happened to Kwami. As long as they never made another jewel, no one wanted to know.
Except they did make another jewel; earrings, a ring, a bangle, a hair comb, a broach, and so many different objects. Two of which had the power that rival the form Shikon Jewel.
Marinette never told her grandfather that the Kwami and resurfaced and apparently didn’t learn their lesson the first time around. Strike two. Her grandfather just went from annoyed to beyond angry.
Finally, Marinette decided to follow in her Uncle’s footsteps, band together a ragtag group, to stop a dark villain hell-bent on united the two most power Miraculous for gods’ know what reason. And she actively dresses up as superhero to defend the lives of humans. It was why she always wore her hair down around the older demons. Strike Three. Grandfather’s snarly mad with blood red eyes, ready to kill. And Marinette? Marinette is so out its not even funny.
When Sesshōmaru arrived in Paris, Inuyasha on his right, he immediately sensed great power. An ancient power. When he arrived at the bakery, his daughter and granddaughter and the man they lived with (“Oh for hell’s sake, His name is Tom,” Inuyasha snapped. “Sabine’s husband. Marinette’s father.”), he raised an eyebrow at the power radiating from the place, stalked right passed his the three, up to his granddaughter’s room, if it could be called that. Marinette right on his tail.
The room looked normal at first, if far too small. However, it took the demon king five seconds to locate the source of power.
He held up the squirming Kwami between his claws, “Explain, now!” Sesshomaru ordered. His eyes flashed red.
Inuyasha looked at the red creature, Tikki, he remembered was the goddess of creation’s name. His claws extended at the memory of all he had been put through and all he had lost because Plagg and Tikki decided to create something that should’ve never existed in the first place.
Sabine and Tom looked confused. Sabine knew what the creature was, had seen pictures of it, but it was centuries before her time. She always assumed the power that radiated came from Marinette.
Marinette glanced down for a moment before steeling herself, and looking up at her grandfather with a proud raised head. She tucked her hair behind her ear and revealed her jewelry.
All hell broke loose.
“AGAIN!” Inuyasha roared, going full demon mode.
“My grandchild,” Sesshomaru snarled at the being, who looked rather petulant, “You dare!”
Inuyasha’s fist went through a wall, “You don’t learn your lessons well, do ya?” He asked Tikki.
“The world needs heroes,” Tikki crossed her arms.
Marinette stepped forward, “It was my choice. There’s a villain that holds another jewel, he must be stopped before he destroys us all.”
“Another Naruku,” Sesshomaru hissed.
“No,” Marinette denied. “He’s human. I fought him before. I know that much. The miraculous hide his overall scent but he bleeds like anyone else. And his is human.”
Inuyasha turned red eyes to his niece, “And then this will be quick.”

To play again - Luka Appreciation Week Day 1
So I’ve kinda given up on ML, just in terms in how they treat their charaecters and such, but I still love Luka and I thought I should at least write something for him for @lukacouffaineappreciation event. I was trying to think of an idea and I’m not fully familar with the story for the Ballet AU where Luka plays violin, so I went a different direction, Shugo Chara and Ikuto. Black Diamond is one of my fav songs from the show and I thought it fit with Kitty Section, if it being a softer version compared to their hardcore stuff. I’ll admit, halfway through I remembered the song Inviciable by Escape the Fate with Lindsey Stirling which fit them better but I still wanted to do this one, even though we don’t actually see them sing it in this fic. Anyway, I did find a French version of Black Diamon, though it’s more rock and doesn’t have the violin. Someone had taken the cover and dropped it on top of the actual song and it didn’t sound right, but just so you can get an idea of it. This is the French cover and just so you know what the actual song sounds like, check this out. Violin
Luka didn’t know how the knowledge about him playing violin suddenly making him an ok person for Adrien to associate with, at least according to the model’s father. But here he was, instead of having to wait until Adrien was essentially alone or sneak out of his lessons to come hang out with his friends, he was currently being led to Adrien’s room by his father’s assistant.
Nathalie knocked on the door, “Adrien?”
“Come in!”
She opened the door and Luka followed. He spotted Adrien sitting at his computer watching something.
“I thought you were supposed to be practising?” she asked.
“Luka?” Adrien answered instead, noticing the rocker in his room.
“Yes, M. Couffaine was asked by your father to practise your latest song with you. he said it sounded better with a violin and M. Couffaine attends an illustrious music school so he was perfect. You two will start immediately.”
“Does this mean, he can come to my place to practise? My mom knows Jagged Stone if getting a classical piano is an issue.” Luka asked.
“We shall see. If you’ll excuse me.”
When the door closed behind Nathalie, Adrien got up from his desk.
“Happy to see me?” Luka asked.
“Always. But what are you doing here? What was she talking about, illustrious music school? Aren’t you home schooled?”
Luka shrugged. “I am, but it’s through the same school. They’re the ones who grade my exams and such. I did attend it but during one of my exams, I happened to start playing one of the proctor’s heart song and then turned it into jam session when it occurred to me at that moment how much happier I felt playing that one heart song compared to the massively long piece I’d practised and slaved over for weeks. Mom decided it’d be better for everyone if I was home schooled. Thankfully the school offered to still treat me like a student, since I worked so hard to get in and was one of the best students.”
Adrien raised an eyebrow, taking Luka in. it was hard to imagine the guy with dyed hair, piercings and a pretty literal pirate for a mom attending a ridged music school. But if being away from it made him happier, and also allowed the two to meet, he couldn’t complain.
“Well here’s hoping my dad doesn’t find out. This is gonna make piano lessons so much more fun.”
“Well, it’s more like, have time to practise with you for Kitty Section. Even though you are a part time member, you’re still a member. We’re doing a mini concert for your class and anyone else who’s interested. Would you like to join us?”
Adrien brightened at the thought of playing with his friends. “Absolutely! What are we gonna play?”
“Can I borrow your computer? I sent the piano music sheets to myself and we have a small playlist on Spotify since Rose has been having a bit of trouble writing songs, we’re doing a lot of covers.”
“Sure.” Adrien let Luka sit in his computer chair and watched as he opened an incognito tab, not commenting on the anime he’d been watching when Nathalie came in. his eyes drifted to the violin case, sitting on the desk. Like his guitar, Luka’s case was covered in stickers.
Adrien loved all musical instruments, though the piano held a special place in his heart. The violin though, seemed so cool. Granted he still had trouble figuring out what was the difference between a violin and a viola, other than don’t ask if you don’t know cause the owners get annoyed about it. He watched Lindsey Stirling jump around her stage playing it, violin covers always sounded cool, especially on electric violins. Then there was the guy he’d admit he tried to emulate as Chat. Ikuto Tsukiyomi from Shugo Chara.
“Here we go.” Luka said, bring Adrien back, “Here’s the playlist. It’s a bit all over the place at the moment, we can’t decide what we want to go for since Rose really wants to have at least one of our songs on it. If you have any suggestions, by all means.”
“Do you play your violin often?” Adrien asked.
“Um, not totally. I mean, I do to still keep in practise, but not like in an orchestra or anything. Very rarely do I play it when the family is jamming.”
“Would you be opposed to playing it in Kitty Section?”
Luka was curious were this was going. “Why?”
Adrien leaned over, taking the mouse from the older boy. “Well, you don’t have to say yes and it would be work to switch the language over, which I can do by myself if need be, but I thought this song would be kinda cool to try this.”
He pulled up Black Diamond from the Shugo Chara anime. He could have also tried Tsukiyo no Marionette, but he felt like this one fit better with the band. He watched Luka listen, no doubt not fully understanding since it was in Japanese but he was tapping his finger on the table so Adrien had hope.
“This actually sounds good. It’s from one of your animes isn’t it?” the rocker slightly teased.
“Yeah, Shugo Chara. You should ask Rose about it. I introduced it to her and she loved it. Do you think the others would go for it? Would you even want to play it?”
Luka listened more, listening how the violin blended with guitars and drums, not out of place. It reminded him of how he wanted his music to feel back when he attended school. Maybe it was because of life with his mom, but when he got into that school, he thought he’d be able to play the way he wanted. Instead, they were trying to shot out numerous copies of this type A, perfect musician who only played classical. As much as he loved his guitar, and the chances to try out his harp skill on his lyre as Viperion, he really missed playing his violin.
“There’s also Invincible by Escape the Fate, Lindsey Stirling is featured on there. It’s more Kitty Sections style.” Adrien said, when Luka hadn’t said anything.
“I know of the song. It’s not in Rose’s key and it doesn’t feature keys and we want you there. But we’ll definitely add it to the list in case we decide to do it. I’ll run this song by the others and see what they think. How quick do you think you could transpose this?”
“Anything to get me away from playing classics for the next 2 hours.”
____________________
Juleka listened to the music that sounded vaguely familiar from when she’d watched the show with her girlfriend, but she was paying more attention to Luka. because their mom thrived on music and noise, from a very young age, both she and her older brother were taught many instruments. Luka took to them way more, a near prodigy at stringed instruments but she remembered guitar and violin battling for his favourite. After he left that school, he’d put his violin back in its box and shoved it away, only ever checking it to make sure it was still in tune and the bow didn’t need to be replaced. So watching him change the strings like he did after days of practise.
“You know, not that I’m mad about it, but I’m surprised you agreed to this. Playing your violin in the band.” Juleka said, as Luka plucked at each string to see if it was finally in tune. He’d forgotten how much he hated restringing his violin.
“I know. I’m a bit surprised to, but.” Luka shrugged, pulling out the shoulder rest. “The song just works with it and it fits with what I wanted to do before I went to that school. I mean, I’m doing whatever I want in terms of music now, why does the violin have to be exempt from that?”
Juleka flashed a small smile to her brother. “I’m glad. I missed you playing around the house. As long as it’s not classics 24/7 again, play to your hearts content. Though, now I really think we should do Invincible.”
“See if you can get Adrien to help you transpose it in a lower key for Rose and you’ve got a deal.”
“Fine. But we wear outfits like the band in the show does.”
Luka furrowed his face. He hated the late-night sunglasses look. The thing he did so he could play violin, it never stopped, just evolved. Expect now he didn’t mind this one.

Opinions on Desperada:
- Not a Lukanette shipper, but dang, Luka is a musically talented sweetheart ❤❤❤
- He's so calm and collected (I'm guessing he's a Libra?)♎
- Yeah, again, not a Lukanette shipper, but I see great potential between him and Marinette.
- Even Adrien and Kagami agree that they look good together but huhuhu ughhhh why Adrien???????
- Cool of Adrien's friends and classmates to let Kagami tag along. Did this happen after Ikari Gozen???
- Adrien is such a gentleman for carrying Kagami's bag (not that Kagami needed him to do so).
- I'm beginning to appreciate Gorilla and think that he's purposely being lenient with Adrien bc he cares like Nathalie abt his wellbeing and happiness. (Hoping that we'd get to see Gorilla's intentions in the near future and see that he's not that a big, scary subordinate of Gabriel's)
- I think it's uncool of Marinette to purposely favor Adrien over Luka, when it was so obvious that Luka's the perfect guitarist for Jagged Stone. She's trying so hard to show her friends and herself that Adrien is the best and most perfect human being, which in truth, is not bc of the events later.
- Anw, theory time: Jagged Stone could be Juleka's dad and that she and Luka are half-siblings!!!! Which explains why they don't share any similar features and why Juleka's hair is slightly purple. 💜
- Julerose 💜❤
- I get the look on Master Fu's face when Marinette took the Snake Miraculous and said that she knows the "perfect person" for the job.
- I'm happy for Adrien when he looked so excited after learning that LB's gonna entrust him with a Miraculous but was intensely disappointed when LB started saying that they don't need Chat Noir.
- I disliked (don't wanna use the word "hate" bc that's too strong) LB when she preferred Adrien making the same joke Chat Noir made later. I feel bad for Adrien bc it shows that LB only likes the Adrien side of him 😕
- Adrien's snake costume is not impressive as I thought it would be. Luka's is better. (and his eyes turn GREEN!!!!! Note Andre's ice cream)😮😮😮
- Okay, so here's the part that's not perfect abt Adrien: when Master Fu gave Marinette the snake miraculous, he said that it should go to someone who won't travel back in time for selfish reasons and then we see Adrien trying to win LB instead of prioritizing saving Paris from Desperada (lol btw at LB's face when she was hit by Desperada after Aspik gave her a rose). Adrien's head wasn't in the right; he kept going back in time to save LB and not save Paris. He wasn't thinking of a solution or even trying to solve the actual problem bc if he did, he would have consulted LB abt it, came up with a plan/strategy. He was too distracted by the thought of working together with LB and impressing her.
- THAT. CONFESSION. OH. MY. FRICKIN. GAWD. 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱 AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHY DO THE WRITERS TEASE US???!!!!!!!!
- I can't believe it took him months to try and save her. But I'm glad that he realized that he wasn't cut out to have that power and finally gave it to Luka.
- I LOVE LUKA'S TRANSFORMATION!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 HE WAS BORN TO BE VIPERION!!!!!
- He really was the perfect person for the job, bc he's so calm and collected and an efficient problem solver. ❤❤❤
- I can't believe Jagged fired Vivica for such a petty reason 😒😒
- Yess I love seeing my boys jam together. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
- Overall, despite Marinette and Adrien's unhealthy obsession towards Adrien and Ladybug, respectively, I enjoyed the episode bc of Luka, who should have been the star of the episode. It really shows that he's a worthy contender for Marinette's affections for a lot of reasons.
- I'm kinda starting to see why the reveal is taking so long bc Marinette and Adrien need to learn to love each other's selves (alter-egos and all) and grow up and fall in love like they did in Oblivio, which showed them being an efficient and non-annoying couple.
