soooooooo idk why I haven’t shared this up until now, but yes, this is in fact a playlist for the Misfits c:

this has been my go-to playlist for pretty much everything ever since I created it last year. I listen to it in the car, in the shower, when I’m writing, or anytime I need a pick-me-up. I’m sure I’ll be adding more songs to it at some point, but 26 is a pretty big number imo LOL

here’s a list of the songs and descriptions of why I think they fit the Misfits:

Immortals - Fall Out Boy: we’re Guardians. we’re immortal. nuff said.

Reckless - Jaxson Gamble: sometimes it’s good to have a well thought out plan. and sometimes it’s good to be spontaneous. but most of the time? just do whatever tf you want. who cares if you break everything. just mcfrickin’ lose it, my dude.

Radioactive - Imagine Dragons: we live in a war. no matter what anybody says, we are always at war. it’s messy and it’s gritty and it takes a lot out of us. but we’re ready for it. bring it on, suckers.

Burn - Ellie Goulding: as Guardians, we have what some might call “superhero powers”. between blasting dozens of different kinds of firearms at the enemies, to popping off our Super abilities at any given moment, we light up the place wherever we go. subtlety is not in our vocabulary. (also Solar is the best subclass, fight me c:)

Breakthrough - Britt Nicole: being a Guardian means that you’re totally fearless and are ok with doing anything asked of you, right? LOL NOPE. we may have super powers, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t human. each of us have something we’re afraid of, and it can feel like those fears are holding us back. but we press on. we fight. we beat back the fears and evils of this world. “Destiny can’t be denied.”

Live Like Legends - Ruelle: each of us have done some pretty cool stuff, not gonna lie. we’re legit godslayers, yo B)

Heroes - Zayde Wolf: the Darkness is all around us. it’s been trying to suppress the Light ever since the Traveler arrived on Earth. some of us even dabble in the Darkness. but we will bring light to the darkest places.

Infinite (Unsung Heroes) - Built By Titan feat. Joel Smallbone: sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest impact. we don’t only slay gods. we do what we do for the ones who can’t protect themselves. and we don’t need the fanfare (despite what Rocky wants LOL).

Welcome to the Show - Britt Nicole: ok, ngl, some of us are kiiiiind of full of ourselves (callin you out Uldren and Rocky :P). it’s kinda hard not to, being literal godslayers and all. so it’s no wonder we like to be a bit flashy when we work. might as well put on a show while we’re killing things, right??

Up Up and Away - Blush: all Guardians have a spaceship, it’s how we travel from planet to planet, so we all know how it feels to fly. some of us are... not so great at piloting (*cough*Rocky*cough*), but the ability to fly is something we all experience on an almost daily basis. it’s a perfect metaphor for the pure thrill we experience as Guardians.

Determinate - Lemonade Mouth: you know when you think up those weird AUs for your characters like, oh let’s say, a band AU or something like that? yeah...

Warriors - Imagine Dragons: I have most definitely thought of a medieval AU for these guys before. no, I will not elaborate further.

Guardian - Lindsey Sterling: I mean... do I even need to explain this one. it’s... it’s right there, come on :P

Skullclub - The Glitch Mob: this is one of those songs I imagine playing in the background during one of our missions, kind of like Immigrant Song. also, literally the only lyrics in this song are “we are the wild ones”, so yeah, it fits XD

Pizza - Martin Garrix: same as above, another song I imagine playing in the background during a mission. and in a modern AU, our go-to after mission meal (our shawarma, if you will) would absolutely be pizza c:

Vertical - T-Squad: for Ace. my energetic ball of sunshine. always doing his best while still striving to do better. you can’t stop this boy. you just can’t. there he go.

We Are Giants - Lindsey Sterling feat. Dia Frampton: alright, this one’s... kind of for me. I made the decision to self-insert into this story, and I haven’t regretted it once. and yes, I made myself the “main character” and “more powerful” or whatever, but you know what? there’s nothing wrong with that. sometimes you need to boost yourself up, and what better way to do that than imagine yourself as a literal godslayer amongst a group of other godslayers that you love more than breathing?? no regrets, yo.

Heroes (We could be) - Alesso feat. Tove Lo: what I consider to be the pinnacle theme for this group (our theme song, if you will). most of these songs are about feeling like you already are a hero as opposed to just the mere thought of being a hero. each of us have come from different walks of life, and although we each have our own unique powers, we choose to use those powers for the good of the world. Guardians aren’t born to be heroes. we choose to be heroes.

As I've did some tagging and mentioning a few months ago (and I am not very good with that, I apologize big time!) with my muses anniversary's I thought of a different way to celebrate #rkfifth. The suggestions of rkfanfic sounded like a lot of fun, so I decided to use some of the questions for a "quick" round of reminiscing in old memories of the years I am part of ROOKIES. In the following paragraphs I will be picking up old posts and anecdotes I might didn't shared so far, but before I do that, I would like to thank everyone who plotted and threaded with me until now. I know I am not very fast with replies, but I hope we can continue on having fun together and share love and peace in our beloved ROOKIES! And here I would like to give a special thanks to our wonderful Admod team who created this whole universe for everyone of us to relax and enjoy our big and little bonds together. Thank you a lot!!

QUESTION TIME:

What was the most memorable moment of your muse? Rkkanggary/Rkgray: How he became the MVP in Taeyeon's team during MGA3 and reached the finals and even, when he didn't received a contract right away, I was really happy for him to get a contract offer from KT (despite being Gary at that time) after the KT & ROYAL Contest. Another really memorable moment involved a rknetizen: rknettissen. This was the first time for Gary to be recognized and I have to confess that I've read the few lines about him and his offbeat rap over and over again. Whoever is the typist of SSEUNNIE, bless your soul. Rkkangjoon: Of course the most memorable moment of Kang Joon is a negative one so far, lol. It was the first day as ROYAL trainee, when he and his now ex-girlfriend Rose (@rkrose) were called to the office to be remembered about the dating-ban. Not the best way to start a musical career, I suppose. But oh, well, this played a big part of his character development. Positive memories were the positive family article in MGA3 (from which I never expected that Kang Joon would be mentioned at all) and the chance to Co-Host Royal Survival together with Baekhyun (@rkbyunbaek).

What did you never imagine your muse to do? G: To have a crush on a OLDER man. Saranghae Huidong hyung :* (@rkhuidong). Long Life the old man ship ~. I never exptected him to climb on his neighbours balcony to get into his apartment (@rkyngsun), to get annoyed by a fellow trainee (@rksungho), to form a "colour line" with a sunbae (@rkxblue), to give his jacket to a stranger (@rkjinhwan94), to catch a thief for a stranger(@rksxngji), to find a dance rival with chocolate abs (@yubinrk), to have a snowman faceoff (@rkxminhee), to meet a female dj (@rkkaeun), to find a muse (@rkseolhyun), to fight over a cabbage for kimchi (@rksohee), to cry over The Lion King (@rkohsehun), to be a snail oppa to a supportive little sister (@rksoojung), to be attracted to a sunbae (@rkariel), to have a rapper buddy (@minhyukxrk). KJ:To date a girl for only two weeks in summer (@sujirk), to let someone touch his dimples at the first meeting (@rksohee), to climb out of a broken elevator with his ex-girlfriend to get her to the job interview (@rkrose), to smack a female stranger's ass in public (@rkchungha & he should really stop do buttsmacks and gropes as greetings), to send a stranger a photo of himself halfnaked (@rkjimin), to vent on a female (@rkyena), to have a wingwoman (@rkcheri), to fancy PrettyLegWoman to the point he starts dating her (@hyunark), to brotect the broknae (@aronrk), to have a cute fangirl (@rksoohyun), to meet his first boyfriend at a swing (@rkseokwoo).

What do you wish your muse to do or take part in in the future? G: Appear in a variety show like Running Man or a music show like Show me your money. KJ: Acting in a drama like School 2013 or be in a variety show such as Roommate or We got married.

Most memorable event? For both definitely MGA3!

Which muse do you think developed more? As Gray is characterwise basically the same as before (just more deep and poetic), I would say it is Kang Joon who developed more. Brosquad did a great job to shape him from the character which was inspired from Cheese in the Trap to a real bro. Originally he was supposed a bit of a fuckboy and a player but with Rose’s help, the first real KJ ship I came across with in Rookies, he became a romantic and loyal and devoted to someone other than his squad members. At the same time the idea of a real angsty muse grew on me which turned out to be the recipe for me to get my muse running on rkkangjoon. Due to his unpredictability it was fun to explore difficult situations, and even when he have been through some sh*t (ic and ooc wise) I think it was important to go through every single moment for me to create the kind of muse he is today. Nonetheless Gary/Gray as well developed, though in a different way than Kang Joon. For him it is more like he received more depth to be true to himself. And he turned out to be exactly how I imagined him and how I love him.

Tell about a precious memory within your years in Rookies. I always like to remember how the Brosquad began. At that time most muns were still using Aim and Jen (@yujurk) as well had introduced me to this app. As Jenn had left the rp with Jimin, the KangJi ship was done for which was why Kang Joon was a little down for a while. I am not sure how things escalated that fast but I do remember I began talking to Lyn (@rsxnn) when I met her through Jen, since she wanted a best buddy for Minsoo. Minsoo and Kang Joon became highschool buddies and the chemistry between them exploded. So Minsoo became Joon’s first bro, and soon after Lyn and Jen started to discuss ship partners for Kang Joon which was how I came to meet Clara (@rkwendy) as well (can you believe there was a time, when Jen wanted Wendy and Kang Joon end up together? XD). Somehow former Hyuna and Minju got thrown into the ship discussion as well and things got messy. Emily and Bora as well as Nana (@hyunark) and Elly got added in the female squad which let to the idea that Minsoo, Kang Joon and Gary needed another addition. At that time Maddie @aronrk) had Aron post a tweet in which he asked for #justiceforgary as he didn’t received a contract despite being a MGA3 finalist. This touched me so deeply because Kang Joon received a little more attention during the MGA3 and I was so happy to propose to ask Aron join the squad. As I am a great fan of Barney Stinson from HIMYM “The Brocode” soon became the male squad’s bible from which we derived the name Brosquad. And as the girls were like babysitters sometimes and had to give their VETOs about a whole list of activities they still have to do and try we named the girls the Antisquad. The original squad was born. And even when the squad was mixed up after muns and muses left, this special bond with its new additions of Sammi (@rkxminhee) and Minhee and Clara’s Johnny as well as Roe's Yooa (@rkyooa) is my forever favorite relationship. Big shout out to all squad members, thank you for accepting and loving my guys. Thank you for giving me a place in Rookies, I love you all. PS: Special shout out to Phani (@rkxjiyoon) (even when she won’t read this), thank you for willing to slow burn ship with KT’s ahjussi, even when he had Gary’s face back then. PPS: As you can see, this whole squad thing originated from Jen’s magic to connect people. It’s all your fault! Without you, things would have turned out differently for my boys, especially for Kang Joon who wouldn’t have a loving noona who beat reason and rationality into him during Highschool. Thank you! ♡

Predictions and wishes for 2019 Since I am a mun of two males (another quick prediction for myself: I can’t hold back during my holdidays and apply for another rkthirdmuse with Kikwang) I of course wish to see more chances for boygroup debuts to occur. The only project which I do remember that could involve a possible boygroup would be KTrookies 2nd round… so who knows what the future holds. Another wish of mine are shows solely for dancers and rappers, so we will have a bit more variety aside from the MGAs or other shows or contests that seemingly focus mainly on singers.

Favorite performance of your muse? G: The first original song performance for the MGA3 auditions: Who are you living for? and the MVP stage I was talking about earlier: Angel feat. Coach Taeyeon, as well as one of my all time favorites: Pursuit the Happiness which he had performed during the Star-Bright-Casting for Sphere in 2015. KJ: I have a soft spot for sad, fragile voices and piano music: Tame Me. Acapella Pop Medley Squad Power! Highlight was of course Kang Joon as Britney Spears ;)

Favorite quote? G: "To forget… to heal… to live… that’s why I make music." KJ: " Heroes, Aren't those who withstand fire; No, They are the ones who can burn down and rise up, strengthened by the ash."

Whats not to love about this girl?Shes a muffin loving sweetheart with a job that most people would consider her a menace for havingpopping back into relevance at seemingly random moments, she grows more and more important as i do more world building, but why I love her specifically is how freaking adorable she is about it all, she cares about everyone, living or dead and turns her curse into a gift so that nobody within her range of jurisdiction is ever forgotten, powering through her fears to guide spirits who are lost, its a light hearted take on the old generally scary folklore of the grim reaper...she may be a ginger but shes not soulless *wink*...also she took up sewing, have fun with your ragdolls XD (a creepy cute character trait she will never lose)at #5 we have Tyson

starting out as your par for course bratty rage boythis character as of recent has evolved into one of my favorite temperamental characters, also i like to save some of the best lines, insults, and rage moments specifically for him because of how funny i think it ishe loves anime and hates worms, camels, and many other things, but then again a lot of people have pet peeves, tyson just got tired of not voicing it, especially because his conscience sometimes has him apologizing for his freak outs XD, he only wants to help people Also fun fact, tyson doesn’t shoot fire from his hands, he breathes it from his mouth...(and occasionally his nose when hes REALLY ANGRY) and he can hold his own fire in his hands which is great for punching shit or just throwing a fire ball At  #4 we have Ellie

to this day i am still shocked at how MUCH ive grown to love this girl, dont get me wrong, shes a pervy asshat and honestly needs to get a suckerpunch to the gut for various reasonsbut thats part of the appeal in my opinion, its why jack is amazingits not all her fault though, her mother is also an asshat so its only natural that whatever messed up childhood she had would make her a bit messed upsometimes i wonder what kind of person she would be if she had better conditions to live underbut i do my best to keep her a funny, likable and relatively scary antagonist its a tricky blend, but im managing also theres that funny thing where her and katie become “sisters” #3 Gareth 

how do you make your over the top knight interesting?simple, you turn them into Garethnot many people know this guy yet but i LOVE THIS CHARACTER, and have been working on him for years Rivaling rachels immense strength, Gareth is part of the order of “COLD STEEL KNIGHTS” which is a knightly order who prefers the old style of medieval knightly hood and use magic to make up for their lack in technology hes honest, friendly, honorable, ect all the noble knight traits, most of his order is a bit eccentric in general, but most importantly, hes shaped like a friend and will fight for your safety if need be, he is neither the hero we need nor deserve, but he gets the job done because he cares i could go on and on about the knights and their role in this world but thats for another day and another post, moving onat #2  Rachel

cmon, how can i not make a list without best pirate girl in it?shes one of the OG characters too, and has lasted ever since, and has been one of my favorites since the beginning, its hard to describe why though.is it how her weird interests make her a bubbly character yet she shows signs of teen angst? How she can hurl a school bus across a football field against the raging wind or use a tank as a baseball bat. How her hand eye coordination is absolute trash and she couldnt hit the broad side of a barn.  Or perhaps it just her dad being a grumpy old fart and shes a bit more upbeat in comparison. its funny though their personalities used to be somewhat reversed, with ray being an incompetent over the top villain and rachel was his seen it all straitlaced daughter who didnt care for his antics now hes training her to conquer any obstacle in her path when pillagingwhile swearing in spanish, whatever reason for some unexplained reason she reminds me of lammy lamb and i love it XDAnd #1 you guessed it  Eliza and Ted i broke my own non spoken rules by using two in one

I have quite a few “polarized sibling” combinations in my stories i know, but these two are easily my personal favorite because of how they act both together and separateLiz was merely a plot device in a long since non forgotten atlantis trial *cough cough* and ted was there too as an antagonistafter many rewrites they have become an integral part in not just each others lives but a core function in some of my personal favorite plotlines that ive come up withplus they’re just fun in general, just look at those new outfit designs I LOVE EM

I love eliza because of how she can handle being a good spirited and perky person and also a well balanced leader type, but she still has much to learn if she wants to overcome her weaknesses help lead her country, also she tends to get very vocal when excited, or frustrated  Ted however is clearly more collected and no nonsense which in and of itself has its benefits and drawbacks  he is a skilled swordsman and leads the  police force to halting crimes against atlantis within its borders, but hes not all strict serious, its just his sense of humor is more dry and sarcastic than anything else??????????????????#???? Cmooooooon, you must be out of your MIND if you thought i was gonna leave this guy off this list and its fitting that i put him AFTER the list was finished and reached #1lemme just say i love wild card characters and while he is easily the hardest character to write at the time (especially the functioning of his powers), i love everything im attempting to do with this character, is he perfect, no not even close, but thats part of his charm, as well as his creativity Hes your first class “ladies man” with my favorite color as his main color and a cool pair of shades to match, but what i like most about him is how anything he does can just seep into joke territory seamlessly, whether intentional or not.his strange an uncanny way of handling certain situations is why he can pull off many feats, a “method to his madness” persay he’s actually pretty well rounded with having a mixture of failure and success under his belt, some people talk down on him, but they can never say is that success was ever handed to him he screws up yes, but that makes it all the more satisfying when he finally pulls off a winwhats even funnier is how i can technically classify him as the “main character” despite having some uncommon main character traits

This little snippet has been rattling in my head for a couple of weeks and I finally put it onto paper now, SLOPPILY, bewarned. Sitting alone in room 2 of the Dugout Inn, even with Dogmeat sleeping in the foot end of the threadbare bed, even with her bare feet against his warm back, Norma felt empty, and lonely. Some days she felt full instead - full of lava bubbling up inside her chest, dark and heavy and searing, or full of boiling swamp water seeping into her stomach, gathering in her ribcage until it was hard to breathe, and she burned furiously with that heat, with anger, with grief, or with something else she couldn’t name - but right now she was just empty, burning with high flame until there was nothing but a hollow ache in her chest and stomach, dush and ashes. It was inside her ribcage, a big Jay-shaped void, and it was deep down in her in her belly where Shaun had been growing what felt like just half a year ago.

A couple of nights ago Norma had woken up to feeling like Shaun had still been kicking and turning inside her and she’d first smiled - until she’d moved her hand to touch her stomach and found it too small and too soft. After that she’d cried, and after that she’d almost had a panic attack when the fluttering feeling hadn’t stopped. She’d spent a couple of hours worrying that she’d somehow been pregnant all along - never mind that it was impossible because she and Jay hadn’t had sex since Shaun had been born -, but that too had passed and she’d spent the day in bed, crying, not being able to shake the thought of how horrible it would be to be carrying another child now, here, without Jay at her side. The little phantom kicks had subsided eventually, and she’d been left feeling emptier and lonier than ever, both relieved and somehow not.

She knew she’d have to get going again soon: she was running out of caps. She’d barely been able to pay for the room and some little food, most of which she’d packed away. She was hungry but couldn’t make herself eat. She’d been eating so much lately and was still hungry all the time (which hadn’t helped the pregnancy scare at all) for no reason, and eating had started feeling more and more like a chore, and food tasted either gross or like nothing at all. She knew she’d have to get going and get the caps somewhere, but... right now she didn’t have the strength to get up. She still had the room for a few hours. Maybe later the Bobrovs would take pity on her and her red swollen eyes and hollow look and let her stay a little longer, just until someone else paid for the room, or maybe they’d let her open a tab - but right now she was too tired to think about it. She curled into a tighter ball around her aching belly and tried to breathe through the ashes in her lungs.

She’d almost drifted to sleep when there was a knock on the door that made her jump, jolted her awake in one violent shake. She bolted upright in the bed, squeezing the blankets against her chest, every muscle in her body trembling with tension. Dogmeat was up in an instant as well, and jumped off the bed with a low growl - whether startled by the knock or Norma’s fear, Norma didn’t know..

“Who’s there?” Norma called, harsher and more scared than she would have liked. She hated that tone, and hated how much her heart clenched, how scared she was, how paranoid --

“Norma? It’s Ellie Perkins”, a familiar voice called from the other side of the door, and Norma slumped against the wall, letting out a shaky breath. Dogmeat whined and settled onto the floor

“I was coming to get a drink, and wondered if you were still here or if you’d already left - I was wondering if you’d like some company?” Ellie said, muffled by the door. Norma squeezed her eyes shut, and fought not to cry again, this time at the thought of someone thinking of her, of someone caring. Her silence went on for too long, it seemed, and there was a more worried “Norma?” from the door.

“I’m here,” Norma managed. She wiped her eyes and sniffed. “I’m sorry, I- I’m here.”

“Are you alright?” Ellie asked, now clearly worried. Norma laughed briefly, and couldn’t stop the tears anymore. She slumped deeper into the bed and covered her face with her hands. Ellie knocked again. “Norma?”

Norma got up and padded across the room to the door and opened it, Dogmeat trailing behind her and pushing past her thighs to sniff at Ellie’s skirt. She smiled through her tears as best as she could at Ellie who must have been nearly pressed against the door judging by how close she was, and shook her head a little.

“I’m. not really,” she said. “I’m sorry, I don’t think I would be very good company right now. I think-” she glanced at her wrist, but she’d left the Pip-Boy in the bed and it was unlikely she would have been able to see the numbers through the tears even if she had had it on, “- I think I have to get going, I really can’t pay for another night--”

“Get going?” Ellie interrupted, eyes widening. “You’re- are you sure? You’ve been crying, it can’t be safe!”

“I don’t really have a choice”, Norma said, a sob escaping her and fresh tears running down her cheeks. She wiped them off and laughed again, a lie of a laugh, breathy and shaky. She felt like she was pulling shards of her diplomat’s mask over her face with trembling hands and failing. “I’ve already staid too long, I don’t have the money...”

“But where would you go this late? Do you even have the supplies to go?”

No.

Norma opened her mouth to lie but found that she couldn’t, and what came out instead was a strangled little sound that turned into another sob and she covered her mouth, hunching over and closing her eyes. Ellie groaned softly and stepped into her space, pulled her into a tight hug. Norma sunk into her arms and let herself cry against Ellie for a little bit, not able to stop even if she wanted to. She hadn’t had any idea how much she’d needed and missed this, a simple hug.

After a moment Ellie pulled back an arm’s length but didn’t let go of Norma’s shoulder.

“Alright. What if I get us something to eat and drink and we head over to me and Nick’s place and you can stay over at least for the night. You look like you could use a good rest and maybe a shoulder to cry on - no pressure, but IF you need it - and Nick’s out of town for a couple of days so you can use his bed no problem. Not that he sleeps a lot anyway but you know, you don’t need to worry - you especially don’t need to worry about it now--”

Ellie stopped, hesitating slightly, but Norma smiled at her shakily but much more genuinely - the mask had fallen off and left her feeling vulnerable and small and scared, but at the same time she felt safe with Ellie. Ellie had seen her cry before, had brought her a handkerchief and a cup of tea, had squeezed her shoulder and walked her to the Dugout to make sure she’d be safe - she hadn’t needed to but she had, and she’d continued to be kind to Norma since.

“I could really use a friend,” Norma said. Ellie broke into a relieved smile and hugged her again, tightly, and this time Norma hugged her back, and it felt good. Like comfort.

Like she was not so alone.
