I am still so new to the LU so please go easy on my requests. I am basically learning as I go and also because I am hesitant to request here. So here is my simple request.

I don't know if you do Yandere anymore but can I get Yan Time/FD(I love him so much;^;) and Wild reacting to reader confessing their feelings to them. I just want fluffy fluff. I might request again but I don't wanna overwhelm your bucket list.

Safety was a concept you didn’t know much of. It was like a bird, swooping nearer to you and diving away. It was something you once had wished for. Something you couldn’t have. Not with the struggles and strife of the world. It was something that lured, something so ironic once you realised that the very concept of safety often led people away from what was truly safe. In a world without real villains, there were only false heroes. And so, you settled for as close to safety as one given person could manage. But life is a shaky course, filled with so much unpredictability that it’s natural that your walls came crashing down eventually. Now, you were in a world with a true villain. One of evil for evil's sake, one whom it was easy to label as the bad guy. He ripped you from your home and with malice he chased until you met who you can only presume to be your hero. Who else could wield such a sword with such accuracy and grace that the gods themselves wished to emulate? Your heart felt like it was clawing at your ribs whenever the shadow man lashed at your hero. If only you weren’t injured. But it seemed your heart needn’t worry, your hero moving so quickly as to miss the blade, even as strands of gold and white were cut by the sweep of the villain’s blade. They clashed until your hero triumphed, pinning his rival under his boot with a glare of such power that you felt… oddly secure. His smile was wide and hungry and you saw a teal v shake that contrasted the tan of his skin and gold of his hair, blood red marks beneath his eyes that complimented the flush on his cheeks. The villain faded to dust and your vision went with him. Your hero picked you up, and in your fading mind you smiled and clung to that overwhelming feeling of safety. You now knew it, and you wouldn’t be letting it quietly slip by.

The deity knawed in Time’s mind, latched to the soul of the person he saved. Never once had he felt such a tug to any given person. Sure, there was that longing for home, for comfort, but that was never something he was meant to achieve. A lure to keep him moving, to keep doing as he was told. But you… what was it about you? Sure you were undeniably pretty in the way you must’ve been carved by the gods themselves -or been one, as far as the deity was concerned- but that didn’t explain the urge he felt. The urge to go looking for something tugged at his very soul, as if looking for something forgotten. There he found you and just knew. There wasn’t much thought before he drew his blade, and he didn’t resist the second consciousness aiding his steps and swings. There wasn’t anything but bloodlust, comfortable and warm, teeming beneath his skin. It was primal, something so base and inherit that as the shadow was caught beneath his boot all he could do was smile, baring his teeth. Of course the shadow faded away, but it seemed terrified. That thought stuck- that he was capable of making something so otherworldly no more than a scared boy. It felt justifying. Like the scared little boy in him had grown and was satisfied. And then there was you. Just you. Your sweet, content smile as he picked you up. He felt gratified, feared and loved. What they needed him to be and what he wanted to be. He couldn’t just let you leave now, him and the deity both agreed. You wouldn’t be safe without him.

👀 Tell me about an up and coming wip please!

I mean, I've only really got the one that I'm actively working on (other than Febuwhump)

You know how Majora and the Fierce Deity were both sealed away from the world by a power greater than themselves? Well, this story focused on the idea that they are both under the same curse, so if one is freed, the other will be too.

Now, there are three iterations of the masks, one for every timeline. If you assign Legend as the Link of Triforce Heroes, he's got one of them, Time obviously has another, and Wild has the third (or does he?)

My story works on the premise that either mask can lend its power to a user, but there's some math involved. If the user has only very weak magic, then they will absorb the power of the mask over time in order to compensate for their lack of power. If they have equal power, it's a give and take, and if they have greater power, then there's no effect at all. (+ > -, + = +, ++ > +)

Time is the first, but because he overused the mask, he absorbed more power than he ought to have and it's sort of overwritten his natural born magic, hence why his appearance is changed.

Wild's mask has only a boosted attack, but it's very weak, almost like there's no spirit inside anymore, so he doesn't face many effects.

Now, you probably saw this coming, but yes, Legend's also going to use the mask. Except I gave it a twist! As Hylia's descendant, Legend's actually got ample power himself, his issue is that when he saved Koholint, it was his soul in the dream and not his body, so when he was returned to his physical form, the Windfish didn't properly bind his soul to his body. So, while he's not super affected physically, he is magically, because there's a disconnect that stops him accessing his own magical core. He has power, he just can't use it in his body. However, the FD mask latches onto your magical core in order to shift your body to match the deity's form more, so by using it, Legend can gain a body that can easily use his natural given magic. But, since wearing the FD mask basically just allows Legend free access to his own power, he's not actually drawing much if at all from FD, and thus not absorbing the magic of the deity.

The story is basically that Legend doesn't explain this to the others, and those who know anything about the mask come to think of it as a risk that Legend is taking far too liberally (Time is their proof). Our beloved captain, whose not quite himself for reasons, ends up destroying the mask, which leads to the release of the god and the demon, and the heroes have to scramble to fix the problem.

So yeah! That's my current big project right now!

Deanna Stellato said after worlds that they planned out every program for this quad from the start so yes they know what their Olympic programs are. D/W as mentioned by other anon had Scheherazade picked out for years(and iirc even had the music edit finalized so they knew EXACTLY what they were going to skate to down to the second). CPom have their Olympic FD picked out. Tessa may have said that you should plan for a quadrennial, but I think V/M have always been "in the moment" kinds of skaters. Even in their comeback they didn't have Latch or Moulin Rouge planned, they skated to what felt right at the time. It's an approach that has upsides, because sometimes you've evolved past a program that may have once spoken to you and there's something better for where your skating is now. But clearly it also has downsides when you don't light upon music that just sings to you in the moment.

i would take DW being able to have a music edit down to the second ahead of time to mean they had help from their coach. how do you have that without knowing if your choreographer thinks it works? the woman with the vision

most skaters must have music in mind for the big moments they dream about, and the reality is probably that they'll adjust their plan if their Olympic music ends up not fitting where they are. VM couldn't really plan ahead for Latch when they were in a new school with new collaborators and coaches. most teams probably have ideas percolating but don't choose until they need to, and i think that would be VM for MR - coming up with a plan in the moment doesn't sound at all like Tessa to me

they were really good students and accustomed to Marina giving strict direction and laying out a plan, and for Sochi, she left them more on their own. it makes sense they felt abandoned and tentative because they hadn't exercised those muscles before?

There's literally no reason for tae to lie about anything related to jk and if some stupid fucks think that he wants to feed tkkrs then they should broaden their horizons coz shippers aren't even 10% of the fd. Why would he go out the way, lie, cook up stories and false narratives for such a small community? He is too famous and popular to stoop to such levels for attention.

One thing that I'll agree on with jikkrs and solos though is the flippant way jk talks about tae lately. That is one of the biggest reasons why people have latched on to the "tae is a lier" narrative. Whenever tae mentions something sweet or even completely normal regarding him and jk, jk just completely ruins it by almost dismissing it. That recording thing being the latest eg. This it the reason why people can so casually and confidently call tae a fraud coz that's how he looks like afterwards.

I know you all come up with those past incidences when he used to praise tae but let's be honest, now he does downplay everything related to tae so much so that it almost looks like he doesn't care much about what anyone thinks of tae as long as they don't clue into the fact that they are more than just friends. Jk's behaviour these days reminds of that clip from their news station interview where tae was trying to hold his hand and jk just snatched his hand away leaving tae looking wide eyed at him.

Now don't start calling me a jk anti as is the tradition coz I am not. I am just seriously irritated by all the smug assholes calling tae names and waiting for jk to debunk that song thing.

See I really don’t agree with you on that. I think that Jk is definitely less likely to bring up Tae, but when he talks about him there’s no disrespect, no debunking, no dismissive behavior, no ‘completely ruining’ anything. If anything what he said about the recording was elaborating on what Tae had already said. And what other situations are there?

I always think people in general find Jk easier to read than Tae, but maybe that’s not true. Because so often in this solo era we get comments like ‘Jk is arrogant’, ‘Jk treats Tae badly’ but that’s really not what I see. Jk is humble, and in his humbleness he lets us know that his role in Tae’s project wasn’t as a director. He let’s us know his role was as a friend, as an advisor maybe, as someone that Tae trusts. That is not downplaying anything, that is elaborating on what the situation was. All in all Jk’s words still mean that Tae went to his place to go through the song.

Being as bold as Tae is right now isn’t something small anon. I don’t think Jk will ever do something like this. He also doesn’t have to. I don’t think Tae needs him to. For Tae it’s important to be able to show his feelings (partly) to not hold back. For Jk it probably feels safer to be less obvious.

Anyone else ever think about how every single Latch ending pose is slightly different because that IS NOT JUST an ending pose.. it’s Scott thanking Tessa for keeping him alive through everything that whole season and her cuddling and holding him exactly how he needs to be held on that specific day at that specific moment.. while simultaneously it is him holding her, for everything she has been through, this program more broadly an encapsulation of their journey so far.. just feeling so incredibly grateful and wanting to cherish each of these moments.

After these past two days that were filled with skating I was in a weird mood and decided to watch the Latch version from 2017 Worlds, something I haven’t done once since watching it live (I could hear the huge gasp from the crowd for days after Worlds so I always chose to watch either NHK or GPF versions). I forgot how good they were in it, stumble included. Their lines, their edges, their knee bend, their flow across the ice, the connection, the interpretation, paying attention to the details, creating beautiful shapes. Every moment in the slo-mo is just picture perfect. And while NHK was the rawest version of this FD, this Worlds one is the best they’ve skated it and one of their best skates in terms of pure skating (yes, stumble included).There’s this small moment that really captures how special they are, at 03:30 you can see Scott make a small error in the step sequences and almost clicks skates with Tessa, but he is so good, so quick on his toes that he saves it without anyone even noticing.

When will this level of artistic skating come back from war and make me feel like this again?

Idk why this is the first time that I was like 😱 when I watched this part because he does this jump and basically as soon as he lands he grabs her to get into the right position to just spin and lift her on his shoulder and like, i don’t know why I’d never noticed the complexity in going into that lift before but it almost scared me. Haha

📍Latch FD practice- Nationals 2017

I saw a part of this moment gifed recently and it reminded me I wanted to do a post about more of this moment.

The other post was just a gif of when he gives her that gentle lil back pat, but I wanted to mention the before and after and why there was a back pat at all (not that he needs a reason).

So this is at the end of the practice (as there are other teams bowing) and VM are finishing up by practicing their straight lift. They come round towards the front and don’t continue with their choreo lift, just skate around out of it. That’s where he gives her the little back pat. Just stopping there is sweet and lovely enough that there was a precious, affectionate moment- like ‘good job kiddo that was a good lift’.

But after that moment they seem to be discussing something about the lift, and he kinda indicates to his hip/thigh where she stands in the lift.

Now you obviously can’t hear what they are discussing so I’ll just be taking a guess here: I like to think before they practiced the lift they were talking about how to make it better, more seamless, what they can each do to make it easier for each other, etc..

So here as he indicates to his leg, I’m guessing they were trying having him put her in a slightly different position-placing her skate higher up/lower down on his leg for when she goes to stand up into the arabesque position- this may’ve been for her balance, it wasn’t comfortable for him (unlikely since he never says anything/complains about her standing on him with skates on).

He also then seems to make the ‘turn out’ motion with his left arm (this is a universal gesture for dancers when we are talking about turnout). So maybe they wanted to try her standing on a more turned out leg. I don’t know any of this for certain, this is all just a guess based on the gestures they’re making.

So if that is the case, it’s so sweet how he gives her that back pat, then seems to ask if that felt better for her, him putting her blade in a bit of a different spot, if that helps her get more turn out on her supporting leg, etc.. it’s just so interesting getting even a tiny glimpse into how they work together 🖤

FD is too often portrayed as evil, when the Japanese text refers to him as a Kishin, which is the Japanese term for a Pāla.

Another thing is there's this concensus among the fandom that Demise caused the Links to reincarnate, but the use of the term Rin'ne in the Japanese text, which is the Japanese term for Samsāra, indicates that they were going to reincarnate anyway.

Because Samsāra is the Buddhist concept revolving around the neverending cycle of life, death, & rebirth that all living things are subject to.

As such, it's more likely that Demise simply latched his hatred to Link's soul & is piggybacking off a naturally occurring phenomenon in order to literally follow Link throughout all his lives.

Something else is that Four has a 3rd adventure in FSA, when he shouldn't because it comes after TP.

Same with Wind, because ST's Link should be his own separate thing. Though it's possible that he didn't show up because he's New Hyrule's hero, not Hyrule. Either way, I'd just rather see more of him.

Similarly... I think ALBW is supposed to have a different Link from ALttP, but I'm not quite sure on that one...

i dont read read lu fics a lot, but when i do, holy fanon batman
