So again let's talk about our mail area in the lobby.

This area is here because it's well lit and it's underneath a camera that does not work.

This is because the mailroom does not have a camera in the lights do not work.

The lights in the mail room should never be off just like building number two in building number three the mail area is well lit and there's a camera on it and there are parcel boxes for things to be put into.

Maybe you wouldn't have residents writing these types of letters and taping them to the table over two weeks ago but then again Karen the property manager hasn't addressed the issue with the residents.

Because obviously these two signs on the wall do not work.

You know the green one that says if it's not yours leave it alone and the one on the right that says this is where packages are supposed to go the old CHP Management corporation sign that the only thing Piedmont housing alliance did was tear their name off of the top.

So much for replacing signs so much for making the property look better you know Bernita Johnson LaShonda Hester trust us give us time things will be better things will change.

But of course with all the theft problem of mail you would think that management would start to control what's going on in the building but they're doing absolutely nothing.

But then again they're leaving mail sit here for weeks and months at a time.

A good management company would have already taken care of the issue packages would have went to the office and then dispersed to the apartments.

Or better yet how about telling UPS FedEx and USPS to start delivering it to the residence doors.

5/21/2021 is when this envelope was delivered or metered I should say.

That's a month and a half we get it still lays in the lobby.

This letter dated April 20th 2021.

Still lays in the lobby.

And of course the two large boxes the mattresses June 9th 2021.

Now the big question is do any of these people actually live in the building.

Once again here comes lesson time for management.

In a department building or an apartment complex paying attention to your mail is Paramount.

When you see packages being delivered to somebody that is not on a lease to an apartment number you then get to ask that question of why.

If they repeatedly get mail delivered more than likely they're living there illegally on the lease.

But then again you can have envelopes such as the two laying on the table where the resident no longer lives here where they've been evicted.

It's simple return to sender and put it back to whoever sent it.

When you have large boxes you can do several things.

First off find out if it was delivered to the right address find out if it was delivered and has the correct name of your leaseholding resident.

Now because of the size of the box or boxes find out if your resident would like maintenance or yourself to deliver it and put it inside their apartment.

Trust me it's a nice gesture when management actually does things for the resident.

Again I've worked on many apartment complex properties one of which all packages were delivered to the office.

You could come to the office and have your package picked up or if you request it you could have the package taken to your apartment and set inside the door.

That was one of the free services that we offered our residents a common courtesy to our residents.

But you see we also had an office that stayed open until 7:00 p.m. which allowed the residents to come and retrieve their package after work if need be.

But again it also gave us the opportunity to know who was living on our property.

It gave us the opportunity to get to know our people on our property.

But no we have Piedmont housing alliance where they don't care about the people they don't care about the male situation of people getting their stuff stolen because the only thing Karen wants to do is sit in the office for 8 plus hours a day with that theory of out of sight out of mind if I don't see it I don't need to deal with it I'm going to get paid the same whether I do my job or not.

So Bernita Johnson and LaShonda Hester my initial statement when we first met in the lobby for our meeting about this place being ghetto it's still stands.

Even though you said trust us be patient give us time we're here to make things better we're here to make changes.

The only thing that has changed is the matters have gotten worse it still as fchp Management corporation was still here because you hired somebody CHP Management corporation fired for not doing her job and now she's not doing her job again because Karen only sits in the office.

She neither manages nor maintains the property properly.

Both her and maintenance have a habit of sitting in the office talking about residents so they can be heard cussing and carrying on being very unprofessional.

But you see Sunshine Charlene green Bernita Johnson LaShonda Hester simply do not care.

They already have the contract they already have the paychecks coming in by way of rent check why should we care why should we do anything for the residents why should we manage and maintain the property properly because once again they already have the contract.

¿Cuál es su nombre y su relación con la hipertensión pulmonar?

Hola. Soy Enrique Carazo, presidente de la Fundación Contra la Hipertensión Pulmonar de España. Mi conexión fue a partir de hace 14 años cuando a mi hijo Daniel le diagnosticaron la hipertensión pulmonar, desde ahí yo comencé a luchar por conseguir que mi hijo saliese adelante.

¿Por qué es tan importante que haya conocimiento sobre la hipertensión pulmonar?

Es muy importante porque la enfermedad es progresiva, es rara, es desconocida para muchos de nosotros y necesitamos que se conozca, ya que al conocerse, se puede investigar y pueda haber nuevos tratamientos, nuevas terapias, nuevas investigaciones y, yo creo que es vital que esa concienciación llegue hasta las autoridades y a los pacientes también.

¿Qué le aconsejaría a un paciente recién diagnosticado o a un cuidador? 

El primer consejo para un paciente recién diagnosticado es que ese día se ponga en contacto con una organización que tenga conocimientos sobre la hipertensión pulmonar. La experiencia por ejemplo en mi caso fue que solamente conocía a tres personas en aquel momento hace 14 años. Al día de hoy, una persona que desconozca la enfermedad y sea recién diagnosticada, puede llegar a consultar con más de 200 casos o 300 en España para saber en qué situación se encuentra.

¿Cómo aboga por la hipertensión pulmonar para usted o su comunidad?

La fundación se dedica a realizar todas las actividades que cualquier otra entidad asociativa realiza como el apoyo psicológico, social, jurídico asistencial, pero nosotros desde un principio quisimos dar un paso más adelante, es decir, no esperar en casa a que la investigación llegase, sino al revés, llegar nosotros a la investigación, promoviendo, creando, realizando estudios y proyectos de investigación. Por ejemplo, tenemos un proyecto de investigación que se llama Empathy en el que participamos como partner oficial en el gobierno Español, somos el único partner asociativo que figura dentro de este proyecto. Hay 10 hospitales, 4 universidades y 4 CNIC, centros de referencia de investigación y 7 partner internacionales que ayudan a que este proyecto salga adelante. La fundación lo que hace es conseguir fondos mediante eventos, pulseras que realizan las madres por toda España y con estos fondos que recaudamos en eventos, conciertos, teatros escolares y demás, los donamos a los investigadores para que sigan investigando este proyecto Empathy. También tenemos otros proyectos que son becas de investigación donde nuestros investigadores consiguen que la investigación genética llegue anticipadamente. Creemos mucho en la investigación genética, en la base genética y, ahora mismo estamos en la disposición de poder hacer paneles de investigación genética, alrededor de 34 paneles están dispuestos a los que puede acceder cualquier persona que lo desee.  Aunque es gratuito necesitamos fondos para esa investigación que podría llegar a ser más expansiva, más extensa. Si logramos conseguir estos fondos podría haber una terapia genética y llegar a que la enfermedad, como siempre he querido, no progrese o llegar de una vez por todas a la cura para Daniel, para Lucas, para todos los niños, adultos, etc. Yo creo que la mayoría de las asociaciones se dedican más al apoyo asistencial psicológico y social que es muy importante y que nosotros también lo hacemos, y vamos a los hospitales a ayudar a conocer cómo se pone la bomba subcutánea porque hay enfermería que no conoce cómo se ponen estos tratamientos y cómo se utilizan.

Lo que intentamos es conseguir fondos para la investigación mediante los eventos venta de pulseras solidarias, tiendas solidarias, tenemos grabados que nos han donado, grabados de imágenes de un coste muy alto que se pagan o se venden a un precio muy reducido y es una gran oportunidad para la gente que quiera donar y tener una obra de arte en su propia casa. Todo esto se puede comprar a través de la web en la tienda solidaria o bien realizar donaciones en metálico a través de la cuenta corriente que hay en la página web o mediante Visa, diferentes medios de pago PayPal, etc.

De este meeting que hemos realizado, creo que hemos encontrado muchas entidades de otros países que están interesados en la investigación y creo que si quieren realizar una donación para los avances dentro de la fundación en cuanto a investigación genética, metabólica, proteómica, el biobanco, de muestras, etc., podrían hacer una transferencia igualmente desde cualquier parte del mundo a España y que estos fondos se pudieran utilizar en nuestros proyectos de investigación que son tan interesantes y tan importantes.

Al día de hoy estos dos millones y medio de euros del proyecto Empathy están financiados en su totalidad, tenemos un excedente de unos 150 mil euros más que se utilizarán en la próxima renovación del proyecto Empathy. Es un proyecto del gobierno español donde aparecemos como partner oficial y en la renovación del 2018 al 2021 ya tendremos un predio para poder seguir invirtiendo en este proyecto Empathy, pero aún así no logramos llegar a la totalidad de los fondos que serían necesarios para que nuestros hijos y nuestros pacientes, con la esperanza de vida tan corta que con la que los diagnostican, lleguen lo antes posible hasta la cura y es por eso, que necesitamos que haya donaciones lo antes posible para que estas investigaciones lleguen a buen curso.

Quiero decir que el mundo pediátrico, el mundo de los niños por ejemplo en la fundación es muy importante, porque desde un principio mi hijo por ejemplo, fue el abanderado de la fundación, no es lo mismo llegar con un niño hacia el exterior y mostrar lo que sufre un niño, no quiere decir que un adulto no sufra, sufre igual o más, pero los padres como que tenemos una afectación o un afecto sobre una parte de nuestro cuerpo que son nuestros hijos. Incluso desearíamos que esta enfermedad recayera sobre nosotros y no sobre ellos. Creo que es vital para el grupo de trabajo de entidades asociativas que la imagen de los niños, aunque duela mucho, represente a nuestras entidades porque creo que ellos son nuestro futuro y creo que ellos son los que nos ayudarán a que los adultos al día de hoy también puedan lograr esta cura. Exponerles es difícil, le pasa a Lucas, le pasa a Daniel, pero ahora mismo creo que están los dos en la misma situación que no quieren ya aparecer, pero hay otros niños por detrás que sí pueden seguir apareciendo y que ayudarán a que la investigación llegue más rápido, que los fondos lleguen más rápido, que es más fácil llegar con la imagen de un niño que con la imagen de un adulto, no porque el adulto tenga menos ganas de vivir sino porque un niño llega más al corazón.

And of course it is a time-sensitive package and it's been delivered to the wrong address. Not CHP Management Corporation salt it was delivered wrong. But it is CHP management corporations fault that it is not being taken care of properly. made sure it sent back where it belongs.

But of course CHP Management Corporation when they are on the property the only thing they managed to do is hide in the office with only one light on the blinds closed and the door locked.
