Hey there! We know that Emi is supposed to be half white and half japanese, but we couldn’t find any available faceclaims who fit that ethnic makeup—if you know of any, feel free to suggest them or apply with one! For now, we’re just going to drop in a few half-asian faceclaims that we could see working for Emi. You could try Katie Findlay, Kiko Mizuhara, Kelsey Chow, or Amanda Westlake!

[SO I remember while thinking about fairytale verse stuff, I mentioned never experimenting with alternative faceclaims for characters. And seeing how I consider the drawings of them to be more personal, I generally don’t rely on those too heavily. But just for funsies, I did find an alternative faceclaim for everyone that I’ll put under the cut because of post length.

Still though, I think Alastair’s original faceclaim is way more accurate. But sheesh, you will not believe how hard it is to find long-haired ginger male actors who fit the description.]

Alastair: Domhnall Gleeson Overall, not perfect, buuut he has a mature sort of appearance that I think is nice. However, as soon as he grows a beard (which is apparently like 99% of the time) he doesn’t really resemble him much anymore. I’d say this is probably more of an AU-Alastair if he were aged up a few years. He looks like a dorky dad type.

Magdalene: Kiko Mizuhara She has cute hair, a pouty face, big crinkly smile - this is a keeper. Like Al though, her original faceclaim is great. But it’s nice to have more options because unfortunately her original fc also changes her look around quite a bit and doesn’t offer a wide range of options for Maggie’s particular style.

Malachi - Ezra Miller Weirdly, I think this guy is actually more accurate to how I draw Malachi most of the time. Unfortunately, there’s also limited options for photos because he plays a lot of parts where he doesn’t look like Mal at all. But the wavy hair, somewhat grumpy look is pretty spot on.

Waverly - young Christina Ricci She may not have freckles or be a natural redhead, but I’m mostly attached to this one because the face shape and nose are perfect. Now, she’s definitely not old being in her 30s, but I specify ‘young’ because Sleepy Hollow is probably the most accurate lookalike. If I could just blend her and Wav’s original faceclaim together seamlessly, I feel like we’d have our girl 100%.
