Pairing Introduction🐑 Rafe x Lamb!Reader

The last pairing I'd like to introduce is Rafe and Lamb!Reader! An unsurprising couple but not everything is as it seems...

Rafe and Lamb have know each other their whole lives, wit Lamb's father being one of Wards closes business associates, it's safe to say Lamb and Rafe have interacted a fair bit. Despite growing around each other, they didn't really grow up with each other.

Lamb and Rafe we're apart of two different crowds, truly the only things that related them to each other was one -- They're both kooks, and two -- both their dads were wealthy businessmen. Lamb!Reader spent most of her time at home, buried nose deep in some sort of romance novel, at church, usually volunteering to watch the younger children while the services were going on, or at some posh country club event with her friends.

Rafe, on the other hand, spent his times at parties, doing and dealing coke, pissing off pouges, and hanging around the most annoyingly in sufferable people on the planet. None of which Lamb could relate to. Lamb!Reader knows Rafe Cameron is not a good person, and as long as she's cordial in business related situations, Lamb didn't have to pay any mind to Rafe.

When they do finally enter each others worlds, it's because Lamb got herself into trouble, and Rafe knows how to get out of trouble. All Lamb!Reader asked, more like begged, was for him to get rid of some creepy guy Lamb got herself caught up with, so he did. After that, Lamb started going to Rafe whenever she needed a problem fixed, which wasn't often, but still.

Lamb and Rafe's relationship quickly became one of exchange. When Rafe did something for her, she'd have to do something for him back. The only thing was, he slowly started asking her for favors that crossed many intimate boundaries and because of Lamb!Readers religious background, the only way for Rafe to get what he wanted was to become her boyfriend.

I think there's a lot of indifference in their relationship! Especially since it isn't one that's rooted in love, but I also don't think it's all bad. Lamb!Reader has a very big heart, so it's impossible for her not to care about Rafe, especially since he takes care of her. When Rafe comes back injured or coked out, sometimes both, she makes a genuine effort to take care of him. She even offers to take him to the church for help to get clean.

In a similar manner, Rafe also cares for Lamb in his own odd way. He of course spoils her endlessly, lavishing her in gifts she didn't even ask for, but I also think he attempts to be there physically for her. Rafe is not a very emotionally available person, so he attempts to join her in activities he doesn't even really care for himself. He'll go to church with her, go to afternoon tea events at the country club, take her to fancy book shops, and sets up fancy beach picnics for them..

Despite their unconventional relationship, the whole mutual exchange thing works well for them! They're both satisfied in the relationship so nothing else matters <3

Pairing Introductions 🪻 JJ x Deer!Reader

The first pairing I'd like to introduce is JJ and Deer! A very unlikely couple to most outsides because of how opposite they are, but as the saying goes, opposites attract!

JJ and Deer met sometime in middle. JJ, as he is now, was a badass kid, constantly joking and messing around with the other students. This made him a major distraction for the rest of the class. Eventually, his teacher got fed up with him and moved him all the way to the back of the class, right next to deer reader...

Deer reader was very quiet, never talking much with other students. She spent her free time in class reading nonfiction science books or collecting ladybugs and making a habitat for them in her plastic water bottles. In some odd way, she balanced JJ out. He was hyper, very talkative, and very easily distracted, all things Deer Reader wasn't.

As time went on Deer Reader found herself apart of the pouges, something outsiders definitely didn't understand. A rough group of troublemakers and Deer just didn't sound right, but Deer!reader was apart of the group all the same.

When the pouges weren't off doing something absolutely insane, Deer and JJ spent a lot of time together at her house. Her room covered in shadowboxes with bugs, random taxidermies, animal bones (she always put an emphasis on how they were ethically sourced, and crystals. JJ would spend hours listening to Deer talk about strange science facts, he'd watch documentaries with her, he even let her read to him (which was hard sometimes for his adhd riddled self).

Deer was only ever really social with JJ, especially one they became close, sure Deer talks with plenty of people, but it's never anything more than basic manners. To a lot of people that makes her seem strange and impersonal, but that's something JJ likes about her, he likes to keep his cards close to his chest too.

Even when she started to get closer with the rest of the pouges, she still spoke mostly to JJ. For some odd reason, a reason no one could understand, JJ and Deer connected with each other in ways they couldn't really connect with others. Of course as more time went by Deer was pretty social the other pouges but it was still obvious to everyone that she favored JJ.

I don't imagine JJ and Deer ever officially had a moment where they became a couple, in a way they just sort of always were. Even all the way back in middle school, JJ would chase away any guy that even seemed mildly interested in her, from the moment the teacher sat him next to Deer, she became his, and she never minded.

As they got older more lines blurred, when JJ would come over, he'd crowd Deer!reader against her bed and kiss up and down her face and body like a hungry dog. Eventually Deer had enough of his games so she just sorta claimed JJ as her boyfriend, something he was very eager to agree too <3

Pairing Introduction 🌺 Pope x Bunny!Reader

The next unique pairing I'd like to introduce... Pope and Bunny! They seem so opposite on the outside but when you see how they are, you'll realize they're perfect!

Not quite a kook, and not quite a pouge, despite all her charm, Bunny!Reader has a hard time fitting into one social group, something Pope Heyward can relate to. Despite that though, Bunny is very social and gets along with a large group of people, which why to some it was shocking that her and the more introverted Pope were together!

Pope and Bunny!Reader met under urgent circumstances, according to Bunny anyhow. Bunny attends a prestigious ballet school on Figure Eight Island, one her parents had to take out a hefty loan for in order to afford to pay for tuition. The one condition that had to be met was that Bunny was passing her classes. To her, it sounded easy enough, but between all her ballet classes and social gatherings she attended, her grades quickly fell through the cracks. No matter how much she complained to her parents that college courses were hard and tiring, they didn't budge on their condition. So Bunny!Reader had to find a solution.

One of her friends suggested she hire a tutor and Bunny thought it was a great idea, so that's exactly what she did! That's how she met Pope. He had a low hourly rate and great reviews so he was obviously the best hire.

Pope did his very best to remain professional, but it's hard to do that when a pretty girl with pouty lips and fluttery eyelashes keeps flirting with you! Eventually during one of the later tutoring sessions, Bunny!Reader convinces Pope to ease up, and they had a really great conversation.

Bunny made sure to tell her cute tutor all about herself. Bunny is a classically trained dancer who spends her free time indulging in anything vintage. Thrift stores and old furniture shops are the places she prefers to spend time, searching for the best pieces to add to her wardrobe and her room. She enjoys hanging out and overpriced cafes with her friends, and at night she likes to watch 2000's rom coms to fall asleep.

Pope had no idea why such a beautiful social butterfly was interested in him. but he was the last person to complain. Pope and Bunny's relationship is probably one of the healthiest there is. Bunny is all about the attention and being doted on, and Pope can provide exactly that! He takes the time out to enjoy her hobbies with her and Bunny!Reader very much does the same. As long as she can spend time with Pope and has his attention, she honestly doesn't mind what they do.

Hangs out with the pogues often but isn't one to tag along on their adventures like Deer!Reader. She can not afford any injuries to her perfect body. The pouges find her a bit odd, but charming. A little ditzy but very loving!

Much like JJ and Deer, there's not an official moment they get together! Bunny liked Pope from the moment they met so in her mind he was her boyfriend! Later after many one on one hangouts, Pope definitely asked her what they were, and Bunny could only respond with; "I thought you were my boyfriend?"

Pope still spends time on his studies and he always tries to convince Bunny to come along, usually he has to offer her some kind of reward for going, but whatever gets her to come!

Pope and Bunny love each other dearly and spend every moment of free time they get, together, doing what they love with the person they love <3

Pairing Introduction🪽 John B x Kitty!Reader

The second pairing I'd like to introduce is John B and Kitty! Another unlikely couple, but not necessarily opposites! Moreso two odd puzzle pieces that fit together nicely...

Despite the fact that Kitty!Reader and John B are couple, the didn't really start off liking each other! Kitty is an island native, so her and John B crossed paths often, but they never stuck around long enough to chat! Kitty did however, hear enough whispers about John B and the rest of his crew to know that he's not trouble she wants to be around. She prefers laying low, keeping any illegal activities quiet.

As forementioned, neither of them really liked each other, they weren't enemies or anything, but both of them sorta thought the other was just... weird. I think when they do finally really meet, it's because John B sought out her help. Kitty!reader is the kinda gal who knows both things and people. John B, reluctantly, comes to her for help. He knows that she knows who to talk to, and where to look for certain things pertaining to the new adventure the pouges decided to embark on. After that, Kitty just sorta inserted herself into the group.

I think in the beginning, Kitty and John B move very carefully around each other. Not in a bad way, but the way that animals do when they first meet. After a few extended encounters, both Kitty and John B feel comfortable enough to chill.

Surprisingly, Kitty and John B are very compatible. John B is often gone for long periods of time, and he never can really give any type of heads up, but it doesn't really bother kitty. She's pretty social and has other friends groups to keep her entertained while John B and the pouges are out doing god knows what. Like I said earlier she prefers keeping a low profile so she rarely ever joins the pouges on their outings and that suits both her and John B just fine.

Kitty!Reader often spends her free time burning cds and making mixtapes, smoking weed, drinking, and hanging out with one of her, many, friend groups. She enjoys classic literature and old timey movies, an activity her and John B often spend doing together. She doesn't have a great homelife so she spends a lot of her time at the chateau, even when John B isn't there.

When John B and the pouges are around, she spends the bulk of her time with them, something John B is definitely pleased about. Because Kitty is sort of a social floater, she gets along with a large majority of people, which of course, includes the pouges!

When Kitty and John B do spend time alone, Kitty is a lot more needy than you'd think. When John B 'needs' to be out doing his thing, she's content to be alone or with her other friends, but when she has John B alone, she requires his full attention. She'll show him a mixtapes she's made, they'll watch old movies together, she'll make him watch her play some obscure indie horror game, and on occasion she'll even make him read to her.

I think when Kitty and John B get together, it's not really something that happens suddenly, it's a slow calculated process, at least on John B's end. Despite how close they'd become, it was hard to tell when Kitty was just friends with someone or when she liked them, because she didn't really act all that different. John B sorta had to plant seeds in her head and see where that growth would take her.

Lucky for him, it did lead to Kitty sitting in his lap while making out ;)
