he sits behind her and pulls her back against his chest, crossing his legs beneath hers, successfully placing her in his lap. with a little huff he rests his chin against the top her head and ONLY then does he finally tune into the conversation at hand.

                         She had been talking about their plans for the winter -the things they had to fix, provisions they needed to buy- but her words were cut short by Inuyasha’s abrupt movement. Heat rose to her cheeks and colored them red as a surprised squeak escaped her parted lips. Had she not been in such a good mood Kagome might have been angry at his behavior; however, she was merely amused by his sudden display of affection. 

                            ❝Geez, Inuyasha! Were you even paying attention? I was talking about something important ‘ya know!❞

               ❛  c’mon, i only got one tail here !!  ❜ there from the firm grip on his tail, he looks at the world upside down whilst he swings left & right, a bunch of whines escaping his lips as he crosses his arms over his chest. it’s expected of him, to harshly make a grab at his tail & swing him until he fesses up his little felony. too bad, because there isn’t an ounce of regret left in his actions ; those bags of ‘chips’ ( or whatever they were called ) tasted yummy ! defiant eyes send a glower at the hanyou, a righteous pout at his lips. ❛  i didn’t do it this time, so let me go, ya’ rabid dog !  ❜

                           The first sound to escape her lips was a surprised squeak. Grey eyes widened as warmth spread through her cheeks, coloring it in a soft hue of red as a smile slowly blossomed on her visage. ❝N-nanda, Inuyasha? Are you ok?❞ not that her husband was cold or uncaring, but those sudden displays of affection still surprised her, even though they had been married for a couple of months.
