FSF volume 8 preview casually dropping that Svin and Kadoc fought each other in the past and Kadoc’s anti-beast magecraft gave him enough of an advantage that Svin had to negotiate a peaceful ceasefire.

Keep in mind Svin has repeatedly been described as a Flat-level genius in CF, while Kadoc is stated in GO to be roughly on Fujimaru’s level.

I just watched the new Fate Strange Fake special and holy shit, the second Enkidu and Gilgamesh know that they've both been summoned they rush towards each other and engage in the most sexually charged battle in Fate ever.

Seriously Fate uses some dumb metaphors for sex (the CGI dragon biting an arm off, the fish in UBW, etc), but I think two guys reciting poetry to each other while aiming their blasting sword tip and extending tree trunk and saying "Enuma Elish!" at the same time while smiling is the best.

They keep flirting with each other so much, and everyone is terrified at the amount of damage their battle that's totally not a metaphor for gay sex has caused.

I'm reading Fate/Strange Fake and Gilgamesh is Dad(ish) now???

Even with his usual arrogance and haughtiness he is constantly emphasizing how Tiné is a child and should act as such, posing difficult and uncomfortable questions about what she truly wants, encouraging her to grow and choose her own path as a person, and always answers any questions she has/calmly explains things she does not understand

He is quite protective of her physical safety, ostensibly because he needs her alive for the war, but it becomes clear it's not just for that reason

He even flat out tells her she is under his protection (and not to worry) (Strange Fake 3 Page 68)

and in a somewhat bizarre moment he says that if she can prove her soul worthy enough by the end of the war then she will be free to offer her life to him if she chooses AND THAT HE WILL BRING A MEMORY OF HER TO THE THRONE OF HEROES AND THAT IT IS AN HONOR EQUAL TO BECOMING A CITIZEN OF URUK!!! (Strange Fake 3 Page 117)

Followed by another encouraging speech (Strange Fake 3 Page 117)

and later in a stunning turn of hilarity he enforces bedtime (Strange Fake 4 Page 42)

Which is followed by the somewhat disconcerting scene of him noticing traitors in Tiné's ranks, but deciding not to do anything about it himself, and instead wait for Tiné to notice (or not) on her own and prove herself.

Even still it ends in a bizarrely sweet way as he notes "even [Tiné's] nightmares must be better then reality" (Strange Fake 4 page 43)

and that's where they leave off before everything goes to absolute shit.

Anyway I'm really interested to see where their relationship goes after things get uh, marginally better for them then where they are post Volume 5, and I want to see how Tiné's character grows
