Honestlyyyyyy there should be no reason why limited events are completely story locked when easily they could just archive and lock the cutscenes until after you get to that point in reading the story.

I mean we already just about do that with ascensions. And for story-locked Servants that you fight in events we could just throw the Shadow Servant instagram filter on ‘em.

Having limited events (esp ones with no reruns) be story locked does nothing to incentivize people to play and does everything to make them go ‘well I’m too far away in the story to catch up and play the event freely, so fuck it I guess’

favorite thing about them:

Tbh I love how smart Mash is. She has very limited knowledge of people, pop culture, and human nature and it seems like she's trying to get to know it as much as she can through books and literature. I mean I also love what a genuinely kind soul she is. There really is everything to love about Mash. She's also funny as hell.

least favorite thing about them:

My only ONLY!! Big gripe about Mash is how the narrative treats her like she can do no wrong. And when I say 'do no wrong', I mean Mash can say some pretty ignorant or do some borderline cruel things and there's... not much attention given to it? In my opinion, I think a good exploration of Mash's character would be to let her have moments where she feels shock and remorse from hurting someone and has to figure out how to build back a bond. Likewise, I think Mash would also narratively benefit from getting moments where she's allowed to actually be angry. And not huffy PG protagonist angry. I mean vengeful angry.

favorite line:

There was this kind of like mistranslation at the intro of FGO where when you're unconscious in Fuyuki Mash is like 'get up or I'll kill you' and my first thought was 'she's already the best protagonist, that's it for me' because all I could think of was this little girl just curb stomping us because we're lazy.

brOTP:

Less of a brOTP and more of a father-daughter wholesome familial dynamic. Call me a basic bitch, but I'm weak for the wholesome Romani and Mash stuff. Romani being a doting dad to her and Mash lightly roasting him for being lame.

Also in the Temple of Time Stage Play they added a scene where Romani surprises Mash with a plant seed to grow and doesn't tell her what it is 'because that's the joy of growing something; you never know how it will turn out to be' and that just hnngkgk--

I’m super stuck on this one because I’ve never really thought of a solid ship for Mash. I like Ritsuka/Mash when it’s handled well!

nOTP:

Hard stop with Beryl/Mash. I can’t even do it ironically. I think she should hit him in the body very hard with the sharper end of her shield and he should be in a corner screaming terrified of her.

Also I’ve had to see Romani/Mash and it’s an insta-block for me.
