I’m surprised there aren’t more Farscape+Stargate crossover fics/fanart considering they pretty much combined in the later seasons of SG1.
Here’s some art while I’m working on a ‘Daniel ends up in the Farscape universe’ AU fic

Spark Doll! Tartarus: I'm only judging on my experience with you, but I've never seen such a deficient species.
R/n, she looks at him flatly: Did anyone call or stop by while I was out?
Tartarus: How do humans make it through a cycle, even half a cycle without killing each other?
R/n, getting irritated: Trust me, we find it difficult— Did anyone stop by?
Tartarus: You have no special abilities. You're not particularly smart, can hardly smell, can barely see, and you're not even vaguely physically or spiritually imposing. Is there anything you do well?
R/n:...Watch sports or something, damn.

Did Voyager fandom ever go through the Casablanca AU phase back in the 90s and early aughts?
The theme was angst and the ship doesn't end up together just like in the movie. But the 'Rick' analog in the story almost always ends with a new beautiful friendship.
Off the top of my head of fandoms that's had that one or two really good Casablanca AU multi-chapter fics:
The X-Files - Letters of Transit by Loch Ness (Mulder/Scully)
I think LoT was the first fic that kicked off this whole chain. Post-Colonization.
It’s 1999– The Date has come and gone, the “Project” is underway and deadly bees have been unleashed on North America. With the world coming apart and people scrambling to get away from the swarm. Mulder faces fateful decisions about his own role in events to come– and about Scully.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel the Series - As Time Goes By by Yahtzee - Angel/Cordelia, Buffy/Angel (Buffy as Laszlo, Angel as Ilsa, Cordy as Rick).
This story is set six years from now and may contain spoilers for anything that has happened through early Season Three ATS and Season Six BTVS. After that, things begin to go AU. You'll be able to tell where canon is and is not in force. Also, if you haven't watched "Casablanca" before -- well, first of all, what HAVE you been doing with yourself? Go rent it! If you choose to read this first, you'll be spoiled for the movie. (Not that anything actually spoils "Casablanca.")
Farscape - Bellum Interruptum by Cofax (John/Aeryn)
Of all the crappy little bars on rundown stations at the ass end of the universe, she had to walk into mine.
Also, I think there was an Alias fic based on the same idea but for the life of me I can't remember what it was.
Did Star Trek ever join the ranks (specifically Voyager)?
It would be a shame if there was none because the Voyager crew are practically dressed for it in The Killing Game.

crumb of an idea where philippa time travels and meets her younger self aboard voyager
something something the timeline catches up to the endgame admiral janeway timeline (so like 20 years or w/e) and errrrr philippa gets recruited by the DTI something something *endgame!amelia being with the krenim and trying to mess things up and theyre using her to get to this alternate version of her sister something something both parties are going back to the events of Endgame so philippa sees her five year old self while she's trying to stop her sister from doing damage to the timeline IDK :)
*kinda got inspied from @elephant-in-the-pride-parade's Lesson Plans endgame chapter where the admiral says that philippa abandons voyager in the DQ, amelia makes it home after those 20 years but immediately leaves to find her sister,,,,,,,, my idea being that that timeline's amelia ends up with the krenim to try and get her sister back and its jorking up everything

I have this COD au sorta thing floating in my head that started a little because of @girl-lostconnection s helldiver au. And @ghouljams cyberpunk au stuff. Also based on my favorite Milf/ my biggest hear me out, Moya from farscape, she is a living spaceship! Love her. Also inspired by that one episode of Dr who where humanity escaped earth on the back of a space whale and made a city on its back, but it was in constant pain, haven't actually seen the full episode, just clips.
So the idea is that reader, is a giant space alien, like the space whale just sorta swims though space, reader is caught and transformed into a space ship. Like she is still living, aware of everything in her body. She is of course PISSED about this. There is alot of lore to a lead up but she eventually acquires a human body. She is still connected to her original body, (body stealing was mutual dw) but she has more human emotions now. It has to be kept a secrete that she is the ship and that the ship is alive. In comes the 141 (when they first arrive her human body is somewhere else, she can still control and see though her original body tho) she dosnt like them at first, but an ai that has been attached to her makes it so she can't say anything or do anything to them. Price is the captian ofc, Gaz I think would be the pilot (up for debate) Ghost would be second in command and in charge of wepons, and Soap would be the mechanic. The trope is that soap talks to the ship like it's alive (it is but he dosnt know it yet) and worst of all, he flirts with the ship. And flirts with the others though flirting with the ship. So she starts to get a soft spot for this idiot. Something happens (spoilers if I decide to actually write this out) and she breaks though the ai holding her back and soap is the first one to notice how the ship seems to have more personality now, gaz notices the ai sounds less....ai like. They dock back at home base and after leave they come back to a woman now living in the ship. Laswell tells them that she is like a live in mechanic that she "knows the ship better than anyone" soap is ecstatic about "the Bonnie lass" who will be helping him out. Ghost is Ghost, price is apprehensive, gaz is neutral. Shenanigans ensue, reader trying to keep it a secret that she is the ship while having to deal with soap caressing her insides all gentle like and flirting, (it causes some bulbs to pop and pipes to burst lol) all of them bonding, attacks from enemies or pirates, reader trying to ignore when the 141 bang each other and stuff like that. There is an eventual reveal that she is, in fact, the ship and now that they know they have to go on the run, eventual smut that leads to the ship short circuiting (lol) weird living mechanics, and shit like that.
I don't know if I'm going to write this or not, I love the idea, and I have specific scenes in mind, but I don't know if I have the brain power or the motivation to write it.

I had the chance to commission Kahl'ryn from @psychededoodle. I have no words for how much I love this. Everything, all the details, the expression, the scar, the cybernetics, everything is so well done!!
And with this amazing portrait - I'm gonna talk a bit about Kahl and what he is up to in my Arclight AU. So... some rambling thoughts under the cut. :)
For reference: The Arclight AU is a melting pot of various sci-fi franchises. Star Wars, Farscape, WildStar, Star Trek, to just name a few. However, the core of it is Star Wars. A lot of the universe rules are Star Wars rules - such as how space travel works and the Force.
The major players from Star Wars include: the Galactic Empire, the Mandalorians, the Sith Empire, the Chiss Ascendancy, the High Republic, and the Grysk Hegemony.
Much like swtor!Kahl, arclight!Kahl was born in the Sith Empire. His father is the (now former) Sith Lord Xhai'tan. He was trapped in a burning building when he was a child, which is how he got the burn scars. He joined the Imperial Academy and joined Imperial Intelligence upon graduating. Some of his first missions included hunting down terrorists and stopping Darth Jadus. For his double agent arc however, he didn't infiltrate the SIS.
In Arclight the Sith Empire is mostly at odds with the Dominion from WildStar. So, Kahl is tasked with infiltrating the Dominion and carrying out his mission there. The Star Cabal is still a threat and Kahl eventually dismantles it.
Now things really start to diverge. You see, most everything from Shadow of Revan onward doesn't happen. So how does my boy meet Theron?
I made the executive decision that since the Republic isn't the same Republic as in swtor and isn't the power in direct conflict with the Sith Empire, that Theron would instead be from the Dominion. ((I know, I know, not the best allegory if you know anything about the Dominion - like they live up to their name. Does make it way easier for Theron to defect though.))
Then I needed the catalyzing event. Enter the Dread Masters. They were imprisoned by the Dominion, but they escape but with Emperor Vitiate dead (did I mention that? no? So, yeah Emperor Vitiate does die, and after a short war between the Sith, Acina comes out on top and takes the Throne - this is also the time of Malgus's first betrayal,) they go rogue.
Kahl is called in to help with the situation by Lana and she eventually wrangles the help of Theron in tracking and defeating the Dread Masters. Much like in Shadow of Revan, Kahl and Theron grow close.
Then the tradegy of Grismara happens. For those unfamiliar with WildStar. Grismara was home to the Mordesh. A elf-like species who were masters of science, alchemy, and art. They were arrogant and proud, sure of their own superiority. That was until the Everlife Elixir, developed by their most lauded scientist became their curse. The Everlife was meant to give immortality, and they trusted Dr. Lazarin so much that it was distributed worldwide. Then the Everlife became the Contagion. Everyone (and the lore implies everyone) slowly turned into super aggressive mindless cannibals (basically zombies).
Grismara was a neutral world on the edge of Sith and Dominion borders. Both sides were trying to ally with them, but when the Contagion broke out - the Sith turned their back on the world and the Dominion set up a blockade and quarantined it.
Kahl and Theron disobeyed orders to try and help the Mordesh. During that terrible year long attempt at saving the Mordesh, Dr. Lazarin made a small break through. He created the Vitalis Serum, which delayed the effects of the Contagion, but also required frequent injections. The remaining Mordesh were trapped in a half-life. They no longer age (they got their immortality) but they also are unable to have children unless a cure can be found.
Kahl and Theron organized for the last of the Mordesh, to escape. Taking them to the Odessen Coalition. A small and new coalition of planets that came together with the help of Xhai'tan (Kahl's father) and Thrass (who is alive and rescued by Xhai'tan - That is another books of thoughts so if you are curious about how Thrass fits in here feel free to ask.)
With the fall of Grismara, Kahl and Theron defect and join the Coalition. Kahl eventually commanding a heavy cruiser as part of the Maarasu Nighthunters - the Odessen Defense Force division in charge of covert operations and missions that take place beyond the borders of the Coalition. It is Kahl who finds Thrawn and Ezra where they have been stranded for 7 years (again another book of thoughts that I can talk about later). Kahl then goes on to support Thrawn, Thrass, Eli, and the others Chiss fighting to save the Ascendancy.
I'll stop there but....yeah so lots of thoughts.....enjoy!

The lovely @softboiledwonderland tagged me to do this fanfic writier interview - thank you, sweet friend!
How many works do you have on AO3?
119 (but it's actually a bit higher... shh, we'll see after Yuletide author reveals)
What's your total AO3 word count?
242,116 (jeez louise, since when?!)
Your top 5 stories by kudos/likes:
Woke Up in a Safe House Singing (Lockwood & Co)
One More (Grishaverse)
Those Binary Stars (Endeavour)
Here's a Safe Place to Lay Your Heart Down (Lockwood & Co)
Never Hesitate at the Threshold (Lockwood & Co)
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I do! Sometimes I'm very slow at it, whether because I'm trying to think of something interesting to say in reply, or because I'm feeling a little uncertain about what I've posted and need to give it space to breathe before I think about it again - but I really, really appreciate comments and I love the social nature of storytelling and community-building in fandom, so I do make my best effort to always reply.
What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?
Now, this is an interesting question, because while I have written some pretty angsty things here and there (I've even done non-canonical major character death), my endings are usually happy or at least hopeful. The exception is drabbles, where I'm usually capturing a single emotion/moment in time. So I'll answer this with (If You Make It Out Alive) Hold That Bloody Head Up High, which is a dream rehashing of Alina killing the Darkling, and really dives into the angst of her mixed feelings and the incredible influence he continues to wield over her even in death. Honestly, it's one of my favorites, and I'm forever bummed it didn't get the appreciation it deserves.
What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?
I do delight in a sugary-sweet fluffy ending, it must be said, so a lot of my works could qualify! I'm going to say Here's a Safe Place to Lay Your Heart Down, whether you could the ending as the post-fight dancing in the kitchen with shared earbuds, or the practically skipping home with an engagement ring.
Do you write crossovers?
I haven't to date, and I doubt I will, it's not really my jam. But who knows, an idea could surprise me.
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
I've gotten a few weird comments, but can't say I've ever gotten outright hate, which I appreciate!
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Absolutely not.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Yes, weirdly enough, recently. I decided to ignore it and hope it was a case of accidental convergence on extremely similar ideas and phrasing.
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Never had anyone even ask. I think it would be kind of cool, although honestly the inbuilt browser auto-translate has done well enough for me in reading other people's works, so idk how necessary it would be, if that makes sense? Like obviously that's not nearly as good as a true translation, but people certainly don't have to be fluent in English to read what I write, is what I'm getting at.
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I have not, and I doubt I'd be very good at it - I'm simultaneously very possessive over my creative endeavors and not very good at speaking up for what I want (though I'm learning). It would have to be someone I really trust and already think similarly to, if I were ever going to try it.
What's your all-time favorite ship?
This is horrifyingly difficult to answer, yeesh. I'm going to say John/Aeryn from Farscape, but know that I could give dozens of answers and they'd probably all be equally true.
What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?
Nothing that I've actually started posting to AO3. Some of those may take me a lifetime to finish (*cough* Take His Hand), but finish them I will! But I do have a couple WIPs languishing in Scrivener that I'm not sure I'll ever complete. The Endeavour spy AU comes to mind, and one or two Community projects... Sometimes I just have to rework them to a smaller scale and that has to be enough, instead of capturing the entire idea I set out with.
What are your writing strengths?
Introspection, layered dialogue, symbolism, poetic language
What are your writing weaknesses?
Plot (argh), transitions and actually addressing the spaces between what I find interesting or important, pacing (probably related to previous), remembering to describe things - I think my descriptions are lovely when I add them, but I rarely visualize while I write or read, so I don't tend to write for those who do
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
It can work, but I think a lot of authors overdo it. I haven't done it myself (that I can remember, anyway), but my Spanish is good enough that I could if it fit the story.
Actually, wait, I lied - I definitely have, for this year's Rare Pair Exchange assignment, Lingua Franca. Little bit of messy Spanish dialogue, and technically some French, but a single phrase hardly counts.
What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?
I keep meaning to write some Broadchurch gen... Maybe one day.
What's your favorite fic you've written?
Extremely difficult question to answer. Those Binary Stars is always going to be one of my greatest accomplishments, but to pick something a bit more recent, I'd say Woke Up in a Safe House Singing.
Tag, you're it (with no pressure): @itripandfallalot, @menina89, and @fairytale-lights <3

Tagged by @tina-mairin-goldstein! Tagging whoever else wants to play.
1.How many fics do you have on AO3?
78.
2. What's your total word count on AO3?
934,933. Wow, maybe I can break a million this year....
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Just HANNIBAL right now (and for like the last seven years or so). Been vaguely thinking about picking up a second but nothing has caught my interest strongly enough.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Attachment - 7,592
The Fisherman and the Beast from the Sea - 4,565
Sashimi - 2,807
Hungry Ghost - 1,585
Identically Different - 1,382 <- This is my best series and yall should give it a shot <3
5. Do you respond to comments?
I try to, and I enjoy doing so, but sometimes the brainworms win and I don't get stuff done even when I really want to.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Breathless
I don't love this story, but "Hannibal is effectively braindead after the fall, but Will keeps caring for the body and feels that Hannibal is there with him, up until the body dies and Will turns himself in because there isn't any point anymore" probably counts as the most angsty? If you are in the market for a "Hannibal receives a brain injury and he, along with everyone else around him, has to cope with that" story Tina's For Remembrance (Holes in the Floor of the Mind) is a much better pick. And as I continue to think about it, Means of Influence has a pretty angsty ending.
7. What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Most of my stories have slightly bittersweet but still mostly happy endings. Part of the thing about that is I think it's really hard to envision a situation where Will is like 100% Happy Happy, his own mind hates him too much and every little scrap of happiness needs to be fought for and then vigilantly guarded. But I put both him and Hannibal through so much that I always want them to be as close to content as they each can be.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I have gotten two flavors of Fic Hate. 1.) People calling the five year old kid OC in ATTACHMENT slurs like "r*tard" and saying "he belongs in jail" and etc.
Every time Hannibal or Will fuck someone who isn't each other at least one person decides to Yell At Me.
I think I've gotten the old "you didn't tag for bottom Hannibal!!" nonsense once or twice too, but who hasn't?
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
A little. I actually started Hannishark bc I was really intimidated by sex scenes and wanted to see if I could pull off a short monsterfucker story. I feel like I've gotten better at writing these but am generally more comfortable leaving them sparce on anatomical details and big on feelings/conversations.
10. Do you write crossovers? If so, what's the craziest one?
I've got a WRONG TURN crossover series that I'm very proud of here: Bear Mountain Road AU. You don't need to have seen any of the movies to read it, or anything, the movies' premise of "a clan of inbred mountain cannibals waylays travelers" is really just an excuse to put Hannibal (and Will and D, as child members of the cannibal family) In Situations. If I counts as a cross over, I've got a universe swap between the novels and NBC HANNIBAL here: Shiloh
I also have a vague idea for a SAW / HANNIBAL crossover but I've been sitting on that for so long, who knows if it'll ever happen?
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not so far as I know.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes, several times.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic?
Yep, a couple of times.
14. What's your all time favorite ship?
Hannigram and Reba/D (guys we need a fuckin ship name).
15. What are your writing strengths?
Character, emotions, dialogue.
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
Sex scenes, pacing.
17. Thoughts writing dialogue in another language?
Fine by me, tho I only think I've done it one or twice.
18. First fandom you wrote for?
FARSCAPE.
19. Favorite fic you've written?
Identically Different AU !!!! This it the best thing I've ever written and probably the best thing I will ever write.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THIS EPISODE OF FRIDAY NIGHT PUNCHGROUND
Tumblr media
THE UNLIKELY ALLIANCE OF THE MOYA CREW AND SG-1
Previously, Team Star Trek sent a message to the entire sci-fi community by having Hikaru Sulu (Star Trek) defeat Hiden Aruto (Kamen Rider Zero-One) in a decisive manner. Even though Team Star Trek’s message was aimed at Team Star Wars, it’s clear that Captain Kirk wanted to put all other sci-fi teams on notice.
John Crichton and Aeryn Sun (Farscape) have noticed Kirk’s increased aggression. Because of this, they’ve approached the SG-1 team to see if they’d be interested in forming an alliance to stand against Team Star Trek.
Meeting John and Aeryn is Jack O’Neill and Samantha Carter (Stargate SG-1).

A crackship fanart that I put way too much thought and work into.
Pilot x Chiana from Farscape
This is the moment that kicks off their relationship, at least, in my mind. Chiana can not sleep, so she wanders the halls of Moya while the rest of the crew is sleeping away. The ever dutiful Pilot is awake as always, working at the command console where he is connected to the leviathan.
Chiana ends up wandering into the Pilot's den. Feeling lonely, she walks over and sits beside him and the two spend some time just idly chatting, a conversation just for the sake of conversation. Once her loneliness subsides, she feels comfortable enough to fall asleep on Pilot.
He's rather surprised by this, but he is quite dutiful so he goes back to his duties at the console. But, gently, so as not to wake her up.
These late night talks end up being what causes a slow bond to grow between them over time, though neither of them recognize it for quite a while.
This ship honestly works. Chiana needs a grounded, accepting and kind person in her life, and Pilot needs a free spirit that stands up for him and encourages him to stand up for himself. (Granted, this is later season Chiana, after she's been through a bit of a character arc, probably late season 3 or 4, and most of their relationship would actually take place after the events in Peacekeeper Wars with some AU fun thrown in.
The crew would consist of Crichton, Aeryn, their child, Chiana, Noranti, Jool, D'argo (He gets to live in my AU xD) and occasionally Stark, and an Eidolon who helps them spread peace. Still working on the Eidolon… but Stark would be there helping them learn the skills he absorbed from the ancient Eidolon that he helped cross over in the Scarran ship in Peacekeeper Wars.
I haven't gotten it all worked out yet, and probably won't finish it. But I have so many ideas for these two. xD

Any Farscape fans here?
While I'm waiting for the WGA strike to resolve, I've decided to put my #Farscape #fanfiction AU novels back on my The Crais Chronicles website. It's going to take a few weeks. The final chapters of the series of novels need to be rewritten. The doc files have disappeared and the HTML I coded are blank. Woe is me. I know every scene I wrote by heart, but now my style is genre-based and the novels were written in literary style.
When my BFF let me know Claudia Black promoted the website on her Tumblr blog, I knew I had to put it back up.
I will post an update when it's all finished and ready for your Captain Bialar Crais reading pleasure. And yes, everyone shows up, including John, Aeryn, and all the rest. It's a long-form series about Crais getting himself together and becoming--mostly--a decent citizen.
