@davekatweek day 7: fluff

in my earth C, dave and karkat don't become parents. but Karkat *does* contribute to the mother grub's slurry, so every once in a while, maybe every couple of years, a viable mutant hatches and is adopted. Karkat deals with mixed feelings and anxiety/regret about it at first, which is managed by keeping in touch with the family to make sure everything is OK. He and Dave become involved uncles to the first one and then to all of them, going to every elementary school play and ballet recital possible, graduations and weddings, sending wriggling day presents and receiving Soup Day greetings and kiddo art that they tape up all over their hive. In my head in Karkat's lifetime there's maybe a few dozen. picture some more lmao

The wigglers and their families come to a big Vermilion (not mutant anymore) picnic every year to keep up with the whole clan and how everyone is doing. And for Karkat to see all together that he has in fact won a place to be safe. And they all take a big picture together as the group grows

Do you still do fantroll stuff?

Yeah, kinda!! I have a lot going on, like putting together a D&D5e book and running a couple of campaigns. It's kept me kinda busy! Plus, I always found interacting with other people extremely difficult, either because of my own lethargy or other social reasons, not to mention my own forgetfulness. Cilvir's been bleeding out in a bathtub for over a year!! I gotta continue that!!!!! Dw, he's fine. Probably. He'll be making an appearance in the campaigns, but don't tell the players ;3

But yeah!! I have a couple things on my other account, @deepwoodtrolls !

Honestly, I wouldn't mind a new player joining the Academy campaign. We're a little "understaffed".

And!!! I'd love any help I could get with the 5e book, either with ideas or wanting to contribute otherwise! I'm not gonna ask for free art, but I'm also not gonna stop anyone from doodling up a Warlock of The Soup Grandma or a Fey Dancer Fighter

Fun fact: Mari’s weapon, Dealbreaker, is actually based more on a Guan Dao than a sword. Her fighting style was based off of Lord Shen from Kung Fu Panda 2 because look at it. Look at it.
